Leo's Winery
Leo apologises to Chloe for getting in her ear about her relationship with Nicolette.
CHLOE (rattled): No, I shouldn't have said what I said.
LEO: No, it's okay. You've clearly been bottling it up.
CHLOE: No, I'm okay, I... My head is just a mess, that's all. When Pierce was here, he was saying all this stuff about me repeating the mistakes of the past, and it just got to me. But he was wrong.
LEO: Is he, though? I mean, you don't think he has a point about you rushing things?
CHLOE: I can't deny Nicolette and I did skip a few steps.
LEO: You moved in together before you were even dating. And now she's carrying your brother's baby. She's already pretty much part of your family.
CHLOE: ... Nic is who I am meant to be with. I feel that with all of my heart. Why else would I push so hard for us to get together in the first place?
But at this point, Hendrix and Karl come in. Hendrix has finished the stocktake in the kitchen, and any food that's too close to expiry to be used has been packed into the car to be taken back to the Kennedys', much to Karl's delight! Leo looks annoyed that his chat with Chloe has been interrupted. Hendrix notices Chloe and Leo are quiet.
HENDRIX: What's up?
LEO and CHLOE: Nothing!
KARL: We should go. We don't want the food to spoil.
But sensing something is up, Hendrix claims he has more to do here - and tells Karl to go without him, saying he'll catch a lift home with Leo and Chloe later. As Karl leaves, Leo heads to the office looking peeved, and Hendrix is suspicious.

In the garden, Levi is doing some weight training for his injured hands, when Nicolette comes around the side of the house. She's hiding from David and Aaron, her back up against the wall, as we hear them shouting her from a distance! She gestures to Levi to stay quiet.
LEVI: Why are you hiding from your baby daddies?
NICOLETTE: Because they are driving me crazy! Ever since the fall at the winery, it has been 24-hour surveillance with those two.
LEVI: Are you trying to get witness protection?
NICOLETTE (barely even joking): Wait, can I?
She says David and Aaron won't even let her check in on Harold's, and asks if she can hide out with Levi for a while. He says he's not the best company right now. She asks about what happened with Mitch and Nelson; Levi explains they were caught and charged.
NICOLETTE: Isn't that good news? You should be dancing with joy.
But Levi doesn't look very joyful.
Sonya's Nursery
Toadie, Kyle and Sheila are also chatting about Mitch and Nelson, as Kyle helps Toadie unload some compost. As well as inevitable jail time for the crooks, we learn that the harassment complaint they made against Yashvi has also been dropped. But Sheila and Kyle admit Levi still doesn't seem happy; it hasn't helped him get over his childhood attack like he thought it would.
SHEILA: I've been thinking -
KYLE: Uh-oh.
SHEILA: No, love. I reckon I've come to a really good decision.
She says she's finally going to 'do what's right', but needs to talk to Nathan 'Packo' Packard first, so asks Kyle for his number.
Harold's Café
Nicolette is frustrated when David and Aaron manage to catch up with her. They make a fuss, asking why she hasn't been answering her phone and insisting she stops wiping tables as it's too strenuous.
AARON: Listen, we spoke about this, Nic, come on. If you don't need to be on your feet, you shouldn't be.
NICOLETTE: Okay, you spoke about it, with Mum. I tried to have my say, but no-one would listen.
DAVID: You're the one who needs to listen, to medical advice!
They try to persuade her to get an acting manager at Harold's so she can take early maternity leave, but...
NICOLETTE: You're both pains in the butt!
AARON: Hey, come on, we're only trying to relieve some stress.
NICOLETTE: No, the only thing stressing me out right now is you two! I know my body, okay, so I can make my own decisions. So just leave me alone.
David and Aaron look sheepish as Nicolette walks off.
Ramsay Street
Leo pulls up in his car with Hendrix and Chloe. Hendrix gets out straight away, but Chloe looks up at her house with trepidation. Leo asks if she's okay to go home, suggesting Chloe should ask for some space from Nicolette to work out her feelings. Chloe insists she's all good, but Hendrix notices they're still chatting as he takes his bag out of the boot.
LEO: You can't keep pretending everything's fine.
CHLOE: ... Maybe not, but I'm gonna *make* it fine. I want to be with Nic, so I'm going to make this work. End of story.
As Chloe heads into No 24, Hendrix asks Leo what all that was about. 'Work stuff,' claims Leo, but Hendrix isn't buying it - accusing Leo of using whatever's going on with Chloe to get closer to her.
LEO: You don't know what you're talking about, mate, so just drop it.
HENDRIX: Chloe's like family. I'll always have her back.
LEO: Right. So if you're really that close, has she told you what's going on herself?
HENDRIX: ...
LEO: Exactly. Just stay in your lane, Hendrix. This has nothing to do with you.

Levi is still doing his hand exercises, and looking pensive. Sheila and Kyle join him. Sheila tells Levi she has some news that might make him feel less down, saying that she thinks the reason Levi hasn't found peace over Mitch and Nelson's arrest is that they still haven't been held responsible for what they did to him as a child.
SHEILA: I've just spoken to Nathan Packard and he is on our side. So all I need now is the green light from you.
LEVI: To do what?
SHEILA: I want to go to the police station, and give a full, honest statement about what happened to you when you were a little kid. And if I tell the police the whole story, well, then, they *will* be charged - they will face justice for hurting you.
LEVI: Yeah, but so would Nathan.
KYLE: Yeah, he knows that. And he's willing to do it if it helps you out. Unlike the others, he's showing us that you can turn your life around.
SHEILA: And he is remorseful, so I hope that he'll be treated lightly.
KYLE: And I hope Mitch and Nelson get put away forever.
Levi suggests Sheila should talk to Toadie about it, as this will involve her confessing that she obstructed a criminal investigation. But Sheila says she already has; Toadie thinks the police will be understanding.
SHEILA: And like Nathan, I am ready for whatever's gonna come at me.
LEVI: You'd do all that for me?
SHEILA: I'd do anything for you. Haven't you got that yet, you big galah?
LEVI: Look, I don't know what to say right now.
KYLE: Well, just say you're on-board.
SHEILA: I know it's your call, but I really want to do this.
Levi smiles.

Nicolette is looking weary on the couch as Chloe comes in, and asks where Aaron and David are.
NICOLETTE: Probably keeping their distance since I flipped my lid at them!
She explains she snapped after they started getting really overprotective and smothering her. Chloe apologises for asking them to cover for her, and offers to talk to Aaron and David. But Nicolette says she'll sort it out later.
NICOLETTE: What about you? How was your day?
CHLOE: Oh, it was boring. Dull. Absolutely nothing of interest to report. And now I'm home, and I'm all yours.
Nicolette suggests they head to the bedroom, but Chloe isn't sure that's a good idea, as Nic has just got out of hospital.
NICOLETTE: I'm not as fragile as everyone thinks. I just want to be close to you.
CHLOE: Of course. Come here.
Chloe hugs Nicolette, but looks worried.
No 28
Hendrix texts Chloe to ask if everything is okay, noting that she seemed off today. Karl comes in with a box of the sub-par wine Leo has flogged him, saying Leo was 'surprisingly gullible at negotiation'!
KARL: With the food, I think we should tell Susan it was your idea, yeah? You just want to try out some new recipes.
HENDRIX: It *was* my idea.
KARL: I encouraged you. And I don't want her to think I've started hoarding again.
HENDRIX (sarcastic): Yeah, yeah.
KARL: You know what, let's just tell her the truth. The food was close to its use-by date, you had to clean out the kitchen - you did the responsible thing by not throwing it out.
Karl says he's sure Susan won't be worried when she tastes the recipes Hendrix will make from the excess food.
KARL: Leo's very lucky to have you in that kitchen.

Leo and Terese are having a chat in the garden; Terese is explaining how she has to call in at Sonya's Nursery later to pick up some flowers for a hotel event. But she admits she also came round to talk about Paul.
LEO: What a surprise.
TERESE: Look, things have been really tense. Especially since Nicolette's fall the other day. I think he'd really appreciate it if you went over and tried to clear the air.
LEO: Well, he knows I'm here.
TERESE: You two are as stubborn as each other! Leo, please don't let this fester. You guys have worked so hard. Your father hates that you're at odds again.
Aaron comes out to join them, and reports that he's had his head bitten off by Nicolette for coming on too strong in telling her to take it easy. Leo says Aaron has a right to be protective given Nicolette is carrying his and David's baby, but Terese is more sympathetic to Nicolette if she feels smothered.
TERESE: When you're pregnant, people tend to treat your body like it's communal property.
Aaron admits he and David just wish they could do more; their daughter is close to being born, yet they feel like spectators.
TERESE: I suggest you find things to do that include Nicolette, without taking away her independence.
No 26
Levi has called David over for a chat about Sheila's plan to tell the police about Mitch and Nelson beating Levi up as a kid. Levi's worried Sheila might get into trouble, as well as Nathan, who he says has worked really hard to turn his life around. On the other hand, Mitch and Nelson would finally face justice and everyone would feel safer, Levi says.
DAVID: And how do you think that'll affect you?
LEVI: I dunno. Closure, or whatever. Is that even a thing?
DAVID: It's certainly more complicated than some people think. Trauma is complex, and there's rarely one simple fix (...) Nothing's going to erase what happened to you.
LEVI: Okay, then what's the point?
DAVID: (...) The point is to accept the trauma as part of your history, and try to figure out a way to live with it. Maybe holding these men to account is a step in that direction.
LEVI: Alright, Gran, you can come out now. You don't have to listen behind the doors anymore.
Sheila emerges, and Levi tells her he's made up his mind - he's ready to go to the police station with her. Sheila is pleased.
No 24
David and Aaron come round to see Nicolette. She admits she overreacted before, saying there's nothing wrong with them caring about her. But David and Aaron have taken what she said on board, and want to find a way to support her without it seeming like they're trying to control her.
CHLOE: Look at you guys - functioning like one big happy family!
NICOLETTE: Don't forget that you're a part of this too.
DAVID: And in the interests of us all working as a team together, we had an idea we wanted to run by you (...) In fact, you could say you are the most important element.
AARON: Yeah. Well, you and the baby, obviously.
David explains they want to have a baby shower, and Nicolette to help them plan it. Nicolette is keen on the idea, but Chloe looks uncomfortable, possibly recalling her own baby shower after she miscarried last year. Aaron checks Chloe's okay with it, and says she's fine to be involved - but quickly makes an excuse to leave, looking sad as the others begin to make plans.
Lassiter's Complex
Chloe arrives in the car park and runs into Leo, who asks her how things are going at home.
CHLOE: Yeah, just great. Perfect.
LEO: You're overselling it.
CHLOE: Well, I'm just embarrassed. Like I said, I got carried away in a moment of doubt. I should never have said anything.
Hendrix has appeared, and watches them from a distance curiously. He sees Leo put a hand on Chloe's arm as he tries to encourage her to confide in him further.
CHLOE: Leo, please, I'm asking you to respect me enough to let this go.
Upset, Chloe walks away from Leo and towards the hotel and Hendrix.
HENDRIX: Chloe, is everything alright?
CHLOE: I just need everyone to leave me alone.
She walks straight past him. Hendrix looks worried, then gazes angrily over at Leo who is driving out of the car park.
Sonya's Nursery
Terese is picking up the plant order from Toadie for her hotel event. Levi and Sheila turn up; they've been to the police and told them the whole story about Mitch and Nelson bashing Levi as a kid. The police will question them and Nathan, then decide what to do from there. Toadie says he'll represent Sheila in the event it ever goes to court.
TOADIE: Do you feel lighter?
LEVI: I dunno. I think I'm just gonna have to wait and see what the outcome is.
Sheila tells him to stop worrying about her; she has no regrets about this, whatever the outcome.
LEVI (hugs Sheila): I love you, Gran.
While Levi helps Toadie load the plants into Terese's car, Terese tells Sheila she should be proud of herself; what she's done is very brave.
TERESE: You know, I made a similar mistake myself, lying to police. It's so easy to go down the wrong path when you're angry and you're hurt, and... you're trying to protect the people you love. But the important thing is you've made things right now. And all that guilt you've been carrying - finally you can let it go.
SHEILA: Oh, I intend to. No matter how it plays out. I just hope that Levi can do the same.
No 32
Leo is alone in the living area when Hendrix turns up to see him.
LEO: Get it over with, then.
HENDRIX: What was going on with you and Chloe before?
LEO: It's none of your business. We established that.
HENDRIX: Mm. Did you make a move on her? Is that why she was so upset?
LEO: No.
HENDRIX: Then what were you talking about?
LEO: It's personal.
HENDRIX: You two have had a lot of personal conversations lately.
LEO: Yeah. We're friends.
HENDRIX (laughs): Or you're trying to ooze your way into her life.
LEO: Ooze?
HENDRIX: Yeah. You can play it cool all you want, but I see through it. Chloe has a girlfriend, who just had an accident, and you're making a play.
LEO: Yeah, and you've been dying to say this all along, haven't you? Well, now you've said it, you can leave.
HENDRIX: I'm onto you. And I'll be watching you at work. I'm not gonna sit back and let you cross the line with Chloe.
Hendrix leaves.
The Waterhole
Sheila has brought Kyle and Levi to the pub for dinner to celebrate putting Mitch and Nelson behind them.
KYLE: I'm proud of you, cous. And I'm sorry that all of this started with me.
LEVI: Okay, bro, look - don't you start feeling guilty. I just got Gran to let it go.
SHEILA: Yeah. And I'm just so glad both of you are smiling again. And the most important thing is that you're happy.
Kyle says they'll just have to see how hard the cops come down on Sheila; she says she'll wear it in any case. They all agree to start a new chapter. Levi says he's going to aim to spend more time with them, have more (non-alcoholic) fun, and not get embroiled in anything too complicated or serious. Sheila and Kyle joke that this sounds really boring.
No 28
Karl is impressed with a meal Hendrix has rustled up. They're just discussing Karl bringing Susan (who's missed tonight's banquet, being out at the movies with Dipi) for a meal at the vineyard some time - at mates' rates, of course - when Hendrix gets a text from Leo, saying he's fired!
