- Dipi seeing Shane and Amy being very close with one another.
- Hendrix losing at cards... and losing #24!
- Hendrix being sent a bullet by Kane.
- Nicolette waring Hendrix he has 24 hours to come clean or she will tell.
- Clive not willing to let Sheila out of his sight if she puts herself under pressure.
- Melanie warning Jane that things are going to end up disastrously with Clive.
- Des confronting Clive about messages he has been sending Jane while being with Sheila.
- Jane stepping in and wanting to know what Clive is up to.
Despite Clive making it abundantly clear that he no longer has any romantic feelings for Sheila, confusion reigns between himself and Jane (and equally Des with him butting in!) over how much time he is spending with Sheila. When Clive finds out the root of who has stirred them up (Melanie) he is confused over why they are listening to someone he's not spoken to in decades! "I really don't know," Jane admits and then stomps off.
Jay has heard about another card game the pair can go to, but unfortunately for Hendrix it isn't until Friday and he can't wait that long. With the pressure mounting on Hendrix, Jay thinks it's time they went to the police but he immediately rejects that, preferring to handle things himself. "How?!" Jay asks but Hendrix hasn't a clue on how he can fix things.
The Waterhole (veranda)
Des relays to Sheila about Clive's denial (as told to Jane) but in reply, she is still of the option that its just a matter of time before Clive ends things with Jane and reunites with her. Poor Des is so confused over what is going on, that he's been lulled into helping Clive end things with Jane, in the belief that he is stopping Jane from getting hurt.
The Waterhole (inside)
Amy and Shane are about to arrange their first official date when Dipi interrupts to inform Shane of some things she's had to buy for Harold's as she needed to use their joint bank account. He is fine with her using it and she assures him the money will be repaid by the end of the week.
Once Dipi leaves, Amy thinks that Dipi hates her but Shane reassures her that isn't the case, she's simply adjusting to them being a couple.
As he hosts another game at #24, Kane isn't too impressed at what he thinks is Hendrix stalling transferring the house over to him. Hendrix denies that he is screwing Kane over, and promises to uphold their deal.
KANE: Good, because if you don't sort it by tomorrow, the next bullet you get won't arrive by mail and there will be no witnesses to that.
Levi leaves Bea chatting with Ned (about painting the billy card) to go speak to his Gran â€" he wants to know why she is at the pub and not at home. Sheila explains about putting together a lunch for Des "and Clive might pop past too." Levi wants to know what she is up to and she confides in him that Des and herself "are on a fake date" to help force Clive into deciding who has his affections. "How is that a good idea?" he asks and her justification is that is what Clive did to her, so she is simply copying him. Levi thinks an "honest conversation" would be better however she thinks Clive needs a nudge "to push him over the edge."
SHEILA: Love is complicated Levi. You should know that more than anyone.
Hendrix has spotted that one of the guests (the talking extra) has a gun in her handbag, so while everyone is focused on the game and not on him, he steals the gun!
Clive is again reiterating to Jane that Sheila is simply a friend and apologises for all the turmoil Jane has been through over it.
The Waterhole (veranda)
The pair then come across Des and Sheila on their fake date. Sheila feigns all innocence at being spotted while on their canoodle (aka date). Cue mass awkwardness clashing with shock!! Des takes the opportunity to apologise to Clive for ripping into him earlier and then Sheila invites them both to join their date!
Clive asks for a quick word with Jane and out of earshot, asks if she knew Des was interested in Sheila (no). It now makes sense to Clive over why Des was asking him all the questions and genuinely thinks that Des "has designs on her." "Seems rather sudden," Jane thinks but Clive knows that Sheila "doesn't muck around," and when the pair head back to where Des and Sheila are sitting, they agree to join them for lunch.
SHEILA: Perfect, lunch with my three favourite friends and with my very, very special new friend.
With the Kane and his gamers away, Hendrix shows Jay what he has obtained! Jay thinks he is "crazy" and can't believe what Hendrix has done. "Is it loaded?" Jay asks but Hendrix isn't sure and fills him in on why he needs a gun and thus "had to do something."
JAY: Whatever trouble you think you're in right now, you use that, your life will get so much worse.
Hendrix then admits that he panicked and Jay is just in the process of telling him that he needs to get rid of it, when they hear Chloe approaching the house - thus its panic stations to hide the gun, the empty bottles from the card game and themselves before Chloe enters the house. Thankfully when she does enter, Chloe doesn't notice anything amiss and heads into the bedrooms.
Jay (who exited via the back door of #24 on hearing Chloe) manages to evade being seen as he makes his way through the #26 backyard into the backyard of #28.
He suddenly hears voices (Bea and Levi's) and manages to store the gun in the pizza oven before being spotted. When he is spotted, they are surprised to see him and Jay lies about kicking a ball into the backyard as a cover for why he is there. Levi assists in looking for the ball, but after a few seconds of pretend looking, Jay announces that the ball must have landed in another garden so that he can get out of the place.
After they bump into each other in the café, Jay asks Ned for some advice for one of his Sydney friends who keeps making dumb risks and isn't sure how he can stop things from blowing up. Ned already senses that it sounds serious, however because Jay isn't saying too much, the advice Ned gives is for Jay not to deal with things on his own, to "tell someone, anyone, before this blows up."
When he enters the café, Hendrix doesn't look too impressed to see Jay talking to Ned and when the pair swap places, he demands to know what Jay has told Ned. "Nothing," is Jay's reply and Hendrix isn't too impressed to hear where the gun is hidden, even when Jay adds in that he was almost caught by Levi the cop! Hendrix wants them to go get the gun, but Jay is having no more to do with it... that is until Hendrix reminds him about wiping the CCTV when Harold's got trashed.
HENDRIX: We just get it out of the oven and find somewhere safe to stash it. Please.
JAY: Then what?
HENDRIX: One thing at a time alright.
The Waterhole (veranda)
Clive is curious to know when things started between Sheila and Des. Sheila takes the lead and replies that when she was in hospital, Des was so kind, charming and full of compliments... except Des hasn't received the memo and struggles to think of any compliments! "Come on Des, don't be shy," Sheila tries to cajole him with and eventually he says that her eyes are "stunning." This leads Sheila into saying Clive already knows her eyes intimately, before things of course changed with him now being with Jane...
SHEILA: And this little stud muffin has got me all to himself.
Jane just about chokes on her water on hearing 'stud muffin' and Des just wishes that the ground would open up and swallow him!
The boys plan to get the gun back is a non- starter because Levi and Bea are in the backyard getting ready to make pizzas! Levi and Bea spot their arrival and invite them to join in lunch but Hendrix thinks first and convinces the pair to have Thai takeaway rather than making their own lunch.
The Waterhole (veranda)
With the main course eaten, Sheila plans on taking Des home so she can be "ravished" for dessert... well that is until Clive points out that intimacy is off the menu until she recovers more! "But I'm fine," she protests and tries to get Des to show them but thankfully he has had enough and puts stop to the charade!
DES: None of it is real.
"This is not a date?" Clive asks and Des comes clean with what their plan was.
SHEILA: I just wanted to know the truth. Do you have feelings for me or not?
Clive explains that he has "answered that question many times over." Sheila then brings up what happened at the tram, "that was a friend helping a friend," he replies.
CLIVE: It was totally above board unlike this so- called date.
Clive and Jane decide that its best they leave and when they do, Des gives himself a proverbial kick up the butt!
Ned was obviously very concerned with what Jay said to him, that he's having a chat with his parents. They are unsure whether Jay was referring to himself [in the chat with Ned] or not.
"That looks intense," Chloe remarks to Amy after noticing the trio chat. Amy explains that Ned said to Dipi that there was some drama with Jay and she then got Shane involved hence why Amy is sitting alone because her date has been cut short. Chloe is happy but pleased at the news of them dating and passes on her words of wisdom of dating someone with a readymade family, adding too it will be worth it in the end if they both like each other.
Seconds later, Shane is over to tell Amy that their date has to end as he (and Dipi) need to go sort things out as it is serious.
Inside the house, Jay and Hendrix are trying to come up with a plan to distract Levi and Bea so that they can retrieve the gun.
Out in the backyard, there is a change in the lunch plan as Levi has been called into work, but before he can leave, Shane and Dipi arrive looking for Jay. Bea explains the lad has just nipped inside with Hendrix, and asks if everything is okay? Dipi reveals that they think Jay is in some sort of trouble, but they are not sure what. Since he is heading off anyway, Levi goes to get him on his way out of the house.
Levi comes into the house to tell Jay that his parents are in the backyard looking for him. "It sounded pretty serious," he adds before exiting through the front door. Jay knows exactly who has spoken to them â€" Ned!
Back outside, Dipi is telling Bea that Ned thought Jay was hiding something. Bea comments that Jay was acting weird today â€" jittery and nervous... the same as Hendrix she adds.
DIPI: That doesn't sound good.
Inside, Hendrix is trying to find out what exactly Jay said to Ned and doesn't believe Jay saying "nothing specific" since he went and warned Jay's parents.
Back outside, Bea invites Shane and Dipi to join them for lunch and chat things over as she turns the gas on to heat up the pizza oven.
"They don't know anything," Jay says to try and calm Hendrix down but he can sense already that he's screwed.
Even though Thai was ordered, we find out why Bea is heating up the pizza oven â€" she's made a dessert pizza.
The boys are trying to come up with a plan when we suddenly hear an explosion from outside!
