Roxy tearfully tells Shane he's wrong about her being pathetic. But Shane keeps on at her with his theory about her being hung up on him.
SHANE: Poor Kyle. How long are you gonna keep stringing him along for, huh?
ROXY (crying): I'm trying to be your friend! I don't have the hots for you.
SHANE (angry): You're a real good friend - you keep telling yourself that!
ROXY: You know, the person who's pathetic here is not me. You've become a real jerk.
Still crying, Roxy walks out. An angry Shane starts kicking furniture.

Fay has arrived in Erinsborough, and Aaron is bringing all her bags in while Chloe wheels Fay into the living area. Chloe's having trouble pushing the wheelchair - Fay tells her she's left the brake on. Nicolette comes to the rescue and introduces herself to Fay; she explains she's been setting up her bedroom for her, and that the ramp she's set up will make coming and going from the house easy.
NICOLETTE: That is, if Chloe figures out how to drive this thing!
Lassiter's Complex
Jenna is cleaning outside the hotel when Paul turns up for work. Jenna wonders where Terese is; Paul says she arrived early today to tackle the staff reviews.
PAUL: It's always good to keep tabs on people, isn't it?
David and Emmett approach, having just come out of Harold's. While Emmett greets Jenna, David asks Paul how she's doing in her job at the hotel - 'so far, so good', Paul grudgingly admits. Emmett has told Jenna that David and Aaron are cancelling their planned lunch today, and she comes over to ask David about it. David explains he was going to call her and ask if they could reschedule.
JENNA: But... the agency approved it.
DAVID: Well, Aaron's mother is visiting from Adelaide, and we'd really love Emmett to meet her.
PAUL: I think that's a nice idea.
JENNA: Well, how long is she here for?
DAVID: ... A while.
JENNA: Then, why does he need to see her today? Em and I have really been looking forward to this. Haven't we, mate?
EMMETT: It's probably not fair on Mum to cancel when it's all been arranged.
David reluctantly agrees to un-cancel, and says he'll let Aaron know. But Paul reminds Jenna she only gets an hour off for lunch; they'll dock her pay if she's late back! She chooses to rise above this, and tells Emmett she'll see him later.

Fay and Chloe are chatting in the living area, when Pierce comes in with Hendrix and introduces him to Fay. Fay greets them but is struggling a bit and says she's tired from her trip. Chloe takes Fay to her bedroom for a lie down.
PIERCE: Fay seems to be struggling more than the last time I saw her. I'm sure she'll pick up after her rest, though.
HENDRIX: I knew she was sick, but...
PIERCE: Seeing her in person's a reality check?
HENDRIX: Is she really going to be okay staying with us?
PIERCE: She will. We've got this.

Shane is leaving a voicemail for Roxy.
SHANE: I've just been thinking about what happened before, and... I'd really like to talk to you.
At this point, Toadie comes in, fresh from his stay up north for Sky and Lana's wedding.
TOADIE: Hey, the Toad is back in the house!
Shane wraps up his message, and Toadie explains he's dropped off the kids in Harold's with Dipi, where they are catching up on 'lost snuggle time'. Toadie appears to be in some kind of pain, but when asked, insists to Shane that he's good, claiming he just has a 'sensitive tummy' after a big lunch. Toadie enthuses about the resort he's been staying at, but notices Shane is distracted.
TOADIE: You alright?
SHANE: Yeah. Nothing much to report. Same old, same old. You know how it is.
Toadie proposes they have a beer after he's put some washing on, but Shane says he's waiting on a call and may need to duck out. Toadie says they can do it later.

In the garden, Aaron joins David and Emmett prior to their lunch with Jenna, explaining Fay's having a nap. Emmett gets a text from Jenna saying she's arrived, and goes through to let her in.
DAVID: I'm glad you're here for backup.
AARON: Mm, she can be full-on, huh?
David explains that Jenna wouldn't take no for an answer about lunch. Aaron says that at least Emmett will enjoy himself. Emmett and Jenna come out to join them.
JENNA: Em just showed me the photo that you put up of me.
AARON: Yeah! Em was missing you, so we thought it would help keep you around.
JENNA (terse): Well, I'm back now... I'm even thinking of moving here. Maybe not Erinsborough, it's a bit pricey. But West Waratah.
EMMETT (excited): Seriously?
JENNA: Well, you're here, my job's here - makes sense. Wouldn't that be great? Then we could hang out heaps.
AARON: Sounds great. Let's hope it all works out, huh?
David doesn't look so sure.

Chloe is with Pierce in the kitchen, and is distracted thinking about Fay.
CHLOE: I knew Mum had deteriorated, but I just didn't realise it was this bad.
PIERCE: Are you sure you're gonna be able to handle having her here?
CHLOE: Of course. I want this time together. I'll be fine; I just need a few days to get used to seeing her like this. But Mum being here feels right.
Chloe heads out to pick up some things from the office, and Hendrix, who's been in the living area, comes over to join Pierce, just as Nicolette comes in to give Pierce his wheelchair maintenance training! Hendrix is about to make a swift exit, but Pierce says he might as well stay and be inducted too.
Nicolette shows them how to fold the chair, then goes on to cleaning the wheels. Pierce and Hendrix giggle like kids at the talk of 'rubbing the rims so they don't get too stiff'.
NICOLETTE (to Hendrix): Mind out of the gutter, bud. Then we grab our lube...
More giggling from Pierce and Hendrix.

In the garden, lunch is over, and Aaron reports to David that Fay is still resting, having had a message from Chloe. Aaron's still keen for Emmett to come over later with him and meet Fay.
JENNA: What's wrong with your mum, anyway?
AARON: She has Huntington's disease.
JENNA: Is that contagious? I don't want him getting anything.
AARON: No, it's hereditary.
EMMETT: And it's really bad, so Aaron wants to spend heaps of time with her while she's here.
JENNA: Well, as long as you don't neglect my son.
AARON: Don't worry, that won't happen.
David asks, perhaps hopefully, what time Jenna's due back at work. As David and Aaron go indoors, Jenna tells Emmett that Paul will 'have his dogs out' searching for her, so she'd better go. However, Emmett notices something clinking in her bag, and opens it to find it full of minibar spirit bottles.
EMMETT: You're drinking again. And stealing!
JENNA: No. I... had to move them from another room, and I didn't have time before my break, okay? I'm gonna do it when I get back.
EMMETT: Don't lie to me.
JENNA: I'm not. I won't touch a drop.
EMMETT: You could get fired!
David comes back out and asks if all is okay. Jenna insists it's fine, before hurriedly grabbing her bag to leave.
JENNA: Thanks for lunch. (To Emmett) You're a good kid - always looking out for your mum.
Emmett looks worried as she goes.

Roxy opens the front door to find Shane standing there. She tells him she doesn't want to talk to him, just like he didn't want to talk to her when she kept calling to see if he was okay.
SHANE: I get you're mad at me.
ROXY: I'm more than mad, Shane. You said horrible things that you know aren't true.
SHANE: I'm under a lot of stress right now.
ROXY: What, and that gives you the right to be cruel?
SHANE: I just need to know that you're not gonna say anything to anyone.
ROXY: ... I thought that you were going to apologise.
SHANE: No. I want to work on this my own way, and if you go around telling everyone that I've got a problem, then I won't be able to do that.
ROXY: Okay, fine, then do it. Do it on your own! Not that I think you can.
SHANE: Okay, so does that mean you're not gonna say anything, or what?
ROXY: ... You are not worth talking about!
She slams the door in his face.

Indoors, Aaron and David are clearing up after lunch. Aaron tells Emmett they're heading over to see Fay shortly, but he's distracted texting Jenna, asking if she's put the bottles back yet. He puts his phone down as Aaron approaches, and tells him to go and get ready.
Lassiter's Complex
Jenna arrives back at work, and is nervous when she runs straight into Paul and Terese. Paul tells her she's right on time, 'lucky for you', and asks her to take the laundry shift this afternoon. Jenna, apparently anxious to return the minibar bottles, tells them she hasn't finished cleaning the fourth floor yet, but Terese says they need to prioritise the laundry, so Jenna heads there instead.

Aaron and David are discussing what a good idea it was for Chloe to hire Nicolette to help with Fay. A worried-looking Emmett comes in, ready for them to go over to No 24. Aaron remarks that Emmett doesn't seem himself, and asks what's wrong.
DAVID: Did your mum do something? Because you've been pretty quiet since lunch.
EMMETT: It's nothing, I'm good.
AARON: (...) Buddy, if there's something going on, we'd like to know about it.
DAVID: Did she say something to upset you?
EMMETT: (shakes his head)
DAVID: But it does have to do with her, doesn't it?
EMMETT: ...
AARON: Hey, buddy, we can't help you unless we know what it is. DAVID: And we're hoping you can trust us by now.
EMMETT: ... If I say something, you have to promise that Mum won't get into trouble.
AARON: ... Okay.
DAVID: So, what happened?
EMMETT: Mum stole booze. From work.

Toadie comes in, on the phone to Harold, discussing his mystery ailment.
TOADIE: Well, if you must know, Harold, no, I'm not feeling any better. In fact, it's getting worse... Well, no, I'm not blaming you, not entirely. But you know what? It was your idea...
Shane comes in, and Toadie quickly wraps up the call, telling Harold he'll give his suggestion a go, and if it works, he'll be the first to know! Shane gathers that Toadie is acting suspiciously, and asks if all is okay. Toadie sheepishly insists everything's fine, and asks Shane if he's ready for a beer. But Shane says he is in a study mood, so asks if they can do it later.
TOADIE: It's good to see you so upbeat. You were a bit scattered before.
SHANE: Was I? Oh, the outing did me good. Had something to sort, and it's all sweet now, so...
No 32
In the garden, David and Aaron discuss what Emmett has told them.
AARON: I really wanted to believe that Jenna was better than this.
DAVID: Emmett is so upset. And stressed. It's not right.
AARON: Alright, so, what do we do? Do we go and have a word with her?
DAVID: She already thinks we're the enemy; it might just make things worse.
AARON: Yeah, true.
DAVID: If anything... I want to tell Dad and Terese.
AARON: Really? We promised Emmett that we weren't going to get her into trouble.
DAVID: But this might be the wake-up call she needs. She needs to realise that when she messes up, the person who gets hurt the most is Emmett. She's an addict. She's always gonna put her addiction ahead of him.
AARON: I dunno. If we want to keep Emmett's trust here, all we can do is... just hope that she puts the booze back, and never does it again.
No 24
Hendrix is telling Fay what he's planning on doing after school - possibly taking a gap year and going travelling, or just getting a job. Pierce, overhearing, is surprised, as he'd understood Hendrix wanted to go to uni and study business, like he did. Hendrix says he might. Fay tells him not to worry about it; it will all work out.
Pierce leaves the room to take a phone call. Hendrix starts asking Fay about her old job at the winery, but she suddenly gets a terrible headache. Hendrix wants to fetch Chloe, but Fay asks him just to get her an aspirin instead. Hendrix complies, and fetches her the aspirin - but at this point Nicolette comes in.
NICOLETTE: Woah, Hendrix - not a good idea, my friend! (...) She can't swallow; those could choke her.
Fay is frustrated with herself, having forgotten she couldn't take pills orally. Nicolette goes to mix up some pain relief for her, while Chloe reassures Fay that everything's okay.
HENDRIX: I can't believe I did that.
Pierce comes back in, and asks what happened.
NICOLETTE: Hendrix messed up. But we all do. No harm done. It's not gonna happen again, right?
Hendrix shakes his head, and looks mortified. Nicolette tells him to let himself of the hook; it's all good. Chloe tells Fay, 'thank goodness for Nicolette'.
Lassiter's Complex
Jenna comes out of the laundry and looks in her bag, where she still has the stash of minibar bottles. She looks guilty and hesitates, before heading back towards the main hotel building. Paul and Terese emerge.
PAUL: Jenna, do you mind opening your bag for us?
No 24
Pierce checks in with Chloe after the aspirin incident. She says she's okay, but that this is exactly why she needs to be with Fay, so she's here if anything like that happens. Pierce reminds her that that's what they hired Nicolette for.
CHLOE: Maybe, but it doesn't mean I can just sit back and relax. Mum came here so I could look after her. And that's what I plan to do - extremely well, like she deserves.
But Pierce still looks concerned.

We hear Toadie screaming off-screen, as Shane apparently walks in on him in the bathroom.
TOADIE (very agitated): What are you doing?!
SHANE: Sorry, I didn't realise you were in there!
TOADIE: What do you mean?! If the door's shut, it normally means it's occupied!
Shane comes into the living area; Toadie follows him, buttoning up his shorts! Shane says that Toadie should've locked the door if he wanted some privacy.
SHANE: That's what I would've done if I was gonna be... you know!
TOADIE: No, no - it's not what it was looking like, okay?!
SHANE: It looked like you were wrestling with an anaconda, mate!
TOADIE: No, no - it was an aloe vera stick, okay?! For purely medicinal purposes.
Toadie is wiping his hands on a towel.
TOADIE: God, this is all Harold's fault! Well, not entirely - it was a stitch-up from Dylan.
Toadie explains how his cousin Dylan tricked him and Harold into going to a nudist beach for the day, by pretending it was a fishing beach.
TOADIE: Since we went all that way, Harold was like, 'well, wouldn't the best revenge be if we actually really did get into it, and we told Dylan that we had a great time?'
SHANE: So you got nude.
TOADIE: Yes!
SHANE: On a nudie beach.
TOADIE: Yes!
SHANE: With Harold.
TOADIE: Yeah! There's nothing wrong with that. You know, we're both very comfortable in our own bodies. But when I applied sunscreen, there is one part of my body that I neglected to apply it to.
SHANE: Ah. Right. Hence the aloe vera!
TOADIE: It is burnt. Badly! It's starting to peel.
SHANE: Like a snake shedding its skin.
They both laugh, and Toadie remarks that it's good to see Shane crack a smile for the first time since he got back. Shane apologises, admitting he's been stressed with uni work. Toadie says he can always lend an ear if Shane needs it, then heads back to the bathroom to finish his aloe vera treatment!
No 32 / Lassiter's
In the garden, Aaron reports to David that Fay's having another sleep, and tells him what happened with the aspirin.
AARON: It's pretty hard to see a woman who's always been so strong just...
DAVID: I know, Boo.
AARON: Yeah, but, you know, I'm happy she's here.
David gets a phone call from Paul, who's in the office at the hotel.
PAUL: Don't happen to know any cleaners, do you? We lost one today (...) Mother of the Year decided to help herself to a minibar, didn't she?
DAVID: Really?
PAUL: Yep. She was caught red-handed. Of course, you know, we had to let her go.
At this point, Emmett storms into the back yard - he's just had a message from Jenna saying she's been fired, and furiously rips into David and Aaron, assuming they told Paul what she did. David puts his phone down, and assures Emmett they didn't tell anyone.
EMMETT (shouting): You're a liar! I know you hate Mum. You wanted this to happen, so you could keep her away from me! (...) I hate you! I'm never gonna trust you again.
He storms back indoors again, leaving David and Aaron shellshocked.
