Back Lane Bar
Roxy is intent on getting Leo to agree to an outback/cattle station theme for the bar and Vance appears to be weighing in on her behalf, but Leo's not much inclined to this course of action. Roxy reminds him he was on her side when they spoke to Paul before.
LEO: That's because my dad has ego issues, alright? He's a control freak. I don't want him knowing we have any disagreements.
ROXY: And I thought *I* had daddy issues.
But Leo points out the bad business sense of sinking thousands of dollars into the décor right now - and to his and Roxy's surprise, Vance agrees, saying it's smart to get a handle on turnover before they start throwing cash around. Roxy's annoyed as she's already hired the mechanical bull for their grand launch, and the hire firm can't pick it up till Monday.
LEO: This is your mess, Roxy - so you clean it up.
Leo leaves, and Roxy gives Vance a clip around the ear!
ROXY: Thanks for the back-up before (!)
VANCE: Hey, we need him on-side, babe, if we're gonna make this place work. Eyes on the prize, Rox. This is for our future, hey?
Vance pulls Roxy in for a hug, and she grudgingly succumbs.

The following morning, Paul and Terese are looking forward to a leisurely breakfast on the patio - but are soon greeted by the sight of the mechanical bull and inflatable environs, in the back garden! Roxy emerges, explaining she had nowhere to put the bull after they asked her to get it out of the Lassiter's Complex.
PAUL: And now, you can get it out of here!

Roxy says it will be gone by Monday, but Paul isn't impressed, and tells her she's disrespecting the rules of the house. Roxy appeals to 'Auntie T' for clemency.
TERESE: Roxy, this is my home! It's not a three-ring circus. You have until the end of the day - no mucking around.
Roxy stomps off inside; Terese smiles as she looks at the mechanical bull...
No 30
Shane is looking after Hugo and Nell, while Toadie is on his laptop. He's received notification that the Sonya Foundation has received a second $50,000 donation, which again is anonymous. Toadie and Shane don't think it can be Finn, as he's already admitted to the last donation. But in any case...
TOADIE: It's about the good that the money can do, not where it comes from.
SHANE: So the disastrous launch wasn't so disastrous after all! (...) Good job, mate. Sonya would be proud.
Karl turns up, and enlists Toadie and Shane to come to Power Road, to help refurbish the vintage tram that his sister Jemima gave him. Shane and Toadie agree to come along once they've got the kids sorted for the day.
No 22
Terese is looking wistfully at the photo of her as a teenager, with a teenage Vance. She puts it away, as Paul comes in, and starts moaning about the mechanical bull still being in the yard.
PAUL: Do you think she's really gonna move that thing?
TERESE: Don't you mean 'moooooooooove'?
Paul is as unimpressed with the pun as he is with Roxy! He thinks they need to lay down some more ground rules for her, to keep her on the straight and narrow.
TERESE: Oh, you mean, like the ground rules that we've just agreed on for you?
PAUL: Blind Freddy can see that she's trouble. We need to let her know that we will not put up with any more of her funny business!
TERESE: Yeah, but coming down hard on her isn't gonna help (...) If we don't want her to act like a child, then we can't treat her like one.
Paul is unconvinced, but Terese insists Roxy will wise up - she's handling her in her own way.
Power Road
Karl, Toadie, Shane, David, Aaron and a crack team of extras are gathered at The Tram™ for the refurb operation. Karl instructs them to sand the exterior and remove the seats. David mentions he can only stay for a couple of hours, as he has to head to the hospital to continue his study with Finn. Aaron is annoyed, as he thought David was just working a shift; David says Aaron assumed that.
Karl wishes they had some electric sanders, and Shane thinks there may be some in storage at Sonya's Nursery - but when they ask Toadie, he pleads ignorance. Shane says he's sure there are some there, and suggests Toadie go to get them; at which moment, Toadie conveniently sprains a muscle in his back, and asks David and Aaron to go to the nursery instead. They agree, and leave.
SHANE: Pulled a muscle?
TOADIE: That's what I said.
SHANE: You sure that's all it is?
TOADIE: What else would it be?
Back Lane Bar
Vance comes into the office at the bar to talk to Leo. Vance tells Leo that whatever he wants to do with the place, he and Roxy are behind him.
LEO: That's good to know.
VANCE: I mean, Rox got a bit carried away. But her heart's in the right place. You know, it's funny - I actually bumped into your old man when I first lobbed into town (...) Is that why you're so keen to make this place work? To sort of prove something to him?
LEO: ...
VANCE: I mean, I get it - a bit of history there. Roxy filled me in.
LEO: Right. Well, it's got nothing to do with you, so...
VANCE: Oh, really? I'm in the mood for a yarn.
LEO: (...) If Roxy filled you in, you'd know that I used to date Terese. But she chose my dad over me.
VANCE: So there's bad blood between you, Terese, and your old man? Did she, like, play you guys off against each other?
LEO: No, no, no - it wasn't like that.
VANCE: But she was the wedge that split you and your old man?
LEO: I guess.
VANCE: Wow. This Auntie T, she's a pretty interesting dish...
No 22
In the garden, Roxy tells Terese that she's managed to negotiate with one of the hire company employees to come and pick up the bull tomorrow morning. Terese tells her that's fine; and just to ask next time she wants to do something that affects the household - she's not the enemy. Terese asks how the bar is going; Roxy assures her there are no problems.
ROXY: Did you want to go for a spin?
Terese eyes the bull rather wistfully.
TERESE: No, thanks.
ROXY: Come on, Auntie T. Relive the glory days in the Territory. I reckon you could ride a bull and smash a beer at the same time.
TERESE: That was a very long time ago, Roxy.
Roxy continues to try to persuade Terese to ride the bull, until Terese eventually snaps at her - and, seeming agitated, storms off inside. Roxy looks perplexed.
Sonya's Nursery
David and Aaron are still tetchy with one another as they search for the power tools they've been sent to fetch - which aren't there. Aaron accuses David of always thinking he knows best.
DAVID: Aaron, if you want to talk about Finn, let's talk about Finn, and not have some stupid argument over something else.
AARON: Why bother? You won't even consider my point of view!
DAVID: How is that any different to you not considering what this study means for me? Finn wasn't behind any of those things you thought he was - he was cleared.
AARON: I don't care. He's still capable of it.
David reminds Aaron they're supposed to be helping Karl, and walks off. A frustrated Aaron follows.
No 22
Terese is trying to work on the patio, while Roxy attacks a punchbag nearby. Roxy apologises for pestering Terese about the bull; and Terese apologises for snapping.
ROXY: That thing really gets under your skin, doesn't it?
TERESE: Don't be silly.
Paul emerges, about to head to work, and Roxy tries to persuade him to ride the bull as well as Terese! Paul's not interested, and...
PAUL: ... I think Auntie T would rather poke her eyes out than go on that thing.
Terese silently simmers at being told what she thinks, and Paul heads to work.
ROXY: Admit it - you're a little tempted, aren't you?
TERESE: Why are you so obsessed with me and this bull?
ROXY: Because you keep looking at it! And I see the glint in your eye.
TERESE: It's hayfever.
ROXY: Auntie T, my bull detector is going off hardcore! You've handled wilder beasts than this one. Come on - take your handbrake off! Go for a ride - nobody has to know.
TERESE: I'm not a silly kid anymore.
But as Roxy returns to the punchbag, Terese looks wistfully over at the bull again.
Power Road
David and Aaron return without the power tools, explaining that there was one shed at the nursery they couldn't get into. On Karl's suggestion, Aaron is very keen that they go back to the nursery with another key - but it's clear that he's just trying to make David miss his session with Finn at the hospital, which he'll be late for if he doesn't leave now.
David attempts to leave; but it descends into a row, with Aaron accusing David of not wanting to discuss it publicly because he's ashamed of working with Finn, after everything he's done.
DAVID: No - because I don't want to make our friends feel uncomfortable, which obviously, you don't care about.
AARON: What, *I* don't care about?! I'm not the one who's treating Finn!
An annoyed Toadie interrupts.
TOADIE: Stop - just stop, okay? Everyone has uncomfortable feelings about Finn because... it's uncomfortable. But you two arguing like this is just bloody ridiculous! You both love each other, so don't waste your precious time arguing over crap that doesn't matter. You don't know how much time you've got left!
Everyone is taken aback, and a frustrated Toadie takes the nursery keys, to head there and find the power tools himself.
Sonya's Nursery
Toadie stands outside the nursery, but he's overcome with tears. Shane appears behind him, and asks him what's going on.
TOADIE: I can't do it... I can't go in there.
SHANE: That's alright - that's alright. Give me the keys; I'll get the sander.
TOADIE: I've... I've packed her stuff. I've buried her ashes. I started the foundation. But this is her place... If I walk in there, and she's not behind the counter, I've got nothing left! She's gone - she's never coming back!
Toadie collapses into sobs, and Shane hugs him.
SHANE: I know it hurts, mate. I know every day's a challenge. But it's gonna get better, I promise.
Shane encourages Toadie to come back to the nursery another time; it doesn't need to be right now.
Harold's Café
Leo is having a coffee, when David comes in. David says he's just had a session with Finn, but it ran short - he didn't open up nearly as much as the previous week. David thinks Finn's been rattled by what happened at the community centre.
David asks Leo how the Back Lane Bar is going; Leo explains that Roxy has sprung another investor on him, in the form of Vance. He remarks that Vance seems pretty nosy, explaining how he was asking lots of questions about Terese and Paul. David wonders if Vance is jealous of Roxy spending so much time with Leo; Leo's sure that isn't it, as he's 'too cocky for that'.
Leo asks how work on the tram has been going with Aaron. David is evasive, and leaves.
The Waterhole
Karl buys Aaron and Shane a pint to thank them for all their hard work on the tram. Aaron apologises about him and David arguing in front of everyone; Karl assures him that Toadie wasn't really upset with them, but about Sonya.
KARL: Grief is not predictable. Or tidy.
The three get down to talking about how they can help Toadie; Shane explains how he found Toadie paralysed with grief at the entrance to Sonya's Nursery, unable to go in.
KARL: It's gonna keep happening. Anniversaries, birthday, Christmas.
Shane says that Toadie will have to make a decision about the nursery's future at some point. But for now, he just needs to be able to 'go there without having his guts ripped out'.
SHANE: I was thinking, maybe we could all go there with him? As a group - so that he knows he's not alone.
KARL: Of course.
AARON: Yeah, I think that's a great idea. And I'm sure that David will agree.
Aaron goes to call David.
Back Lane Bar
Roxy tells Vance that she's decided he's going to meet Auntie T today. Vance looks concerned, saying they only have one shot at this. But Roxy tells him not to stress - Auntie T will 'love your guts'.
ROXY: I know that you're worried she's gonna freak out about the age gap, right? But she totally won't. She was with Leo.
VANCE: Yeah... Rox, I think we should just wait a couple of days.
ROXY: No, it's not gonna make a difference. Trust me; we are good to go... Why the chicken-dance, babe? There's really nothing to be afraid of.
VANCE: I just don't want to stuff things up, that's all.
ROXY: Yeah, you won't. Vance, I want to start our new life together - properly. And we can't do that until we've done this. Please? It's really, really important to me.
VANCE: Alright. You've twisted my arm (...) Take me to see your aunt.
Sonya's Nursery
Karl, Shane, David and Aaron have assembled at the nursery to help Toadie face his fears. The blokes have prepared fresh juices and pizzas, for a small private gathering.
KARL: These are pizzas which have been conceived in a way I think Sonya would've liked. All vegetarian - vegan in fact. Cauliflower bases in some cases.
Toadie looks a bit overwhelmed by it all at first, but he's also moved by the gesture. He smiles, and raises a juice toast.
TOADIE: Sonya would've loved this... To my beautiful wife.
ALL: To Sonya.
No 22
Terese is home alone, doing some paperwork in the kitchen, and looks out of the window at the mechanical bull. Jaunty music begins as she slips off her shoes and heads into the garden. Without further ado, she grabs the bull by the horns... just as Vance and Roxy arrive at the front of the house.
ROXY: Her car's here, so she must be home.
Roxy goes to check upstairs, while Vance admires the house. He picks up a Lassiter's publicity photo of Terese and admires it. He then hears whooping and cheering from the back garden, and goes to investigate - Roxy follows shortly afterwards...
Roxy and Vance are greeted by the sight of Terese astride the bucking mechanical bull, having a whale of a time! She gets off the bull and falls flat on her face in the surrounding hay, still laughing her head off. When she looks up, she sees Vance and Roxy staring down at her!
VANCE: Need a hand there?
Terese looks at him, and it begins to dawn on her who he is...
