Number 26 Back Yard
Amy checks scrapes on Gary's leg and hand. Amy tells Gary to give Dipi some space just now.

Number 32
Shane doesn't want Gary anywhere near Dipi, but she says it is her choice who she speaks to. Dipi gets a headache, so Shane helps her to the sofa. Dipi says when she punched that guy at Yashvi's football game, Shane made her see that was wrong. Shane doesn't think it was the same, he's not proud of what he did but they almost lost her. He wonders why she's defending Gary, he thinks Gary is getting off lightly. Dipi has a sore head, so Shane gets her some painkillers.

Number 22
Piper brings some clothes for Xanthe. Xanthe says she is only taking the essentials. Piper asks if she's taking her euphonium, she and Ben could get the band back together. Xanthe says she won't have time for that, but she's sure Sheila will look after it for her. Xanthe says it hasn't sunk in yet that she's leaving Ramsay Street and all the people she loves. Piper tells her not to have second thoughts. Xanthe says she's going to miss her, and they hug.

PIPER: I'm going to miss you too. It's going to be so weird without you.
XANTHE: It's going to be quieter at least.
PIPER: Thank you for everything. For keeping me together after Tyler, and for keeping me sane after Cassius.
XANTHE: You did the same thing for me.
PIPER: Yeah but you taught me how. Especially after we lost Josh.
XANTHE: Well you're stuck with me forever now. I love you.
PIPER: I love you too.

Number 28
Bea watches a clip on her phone of her performing at Christmas. Ned walks in, Bea assures him she wasn't googling herself. Ned thinks she should, there has been a stack of posts about her performance. She's nervous about her gig today, she just hopes people turn up. She keeps hearing her mum's voice in her head telling her she'll screw up or something will go wrong. Ned says there are more of them who believe she can do this.

Number 28 Back Yard
Xanthe visits Elly, greeting her with a hug. Elly is thrilled for Xanthe. Xanthe tells her she's the best teacher she's ever had. Elly says Xanthe has been a true inspiration and a really good friend. Xanthe admits she contemplated visiting Finn in the hospital, to prove to him that he didn't stop her achieving her dream. Then she realised she didn't need his validation because he means nothing to her. They hug, Xanthe tells Elly she'll miss her so much.

Number 26 Back Yard
Amy finishes putting a plaster on Gary's hand. Gary stares lovingly at Amy. He understands why Shane reacted the way he did, if someone did anything to Amy, he wouldn't know what he'd do. He leans in to kiss Amy, when a guy appears behind them and interrupts them. He says he's a friend of Gary's and wants a chat. The guy, Joseph, wants to know what happened to the stolen inverters which was put in the coffee hut. Amy tells Joseph that the inverters are gone.

AMY: Do you have any idea who you're dealing with?
GARY: Just drop it.
AMY: I am Paul Robinson's daughter, and he knows people much scarier than you and he will call them in a second if I ask him to. Now get the hell off this property! Go!

Joseph leaves. Gary smiles. After a quick ad break, Gary and Amy laugh about what just happened. Gary asks if they were having a moment before that guy turned up. Xanthe arrives asking if they've seen Sheila, but she's at work. Amy congratulates Xanthe. Amy heads to work, while Xanthe goes to pack.

The Waterhole
Sheila looks at the messages she's gotten from Xanthe. She looks upset. Meanwhile Bea and Ned comment on the big crowd. Ned wants everyone to see how amazing she is. Sheila asks if Bea is the entertainment, and rudely tells Bea that the hotel staff just dumped all this stuff here but didn't bother to hell her Bea was booked to play. Ned says Terese was probably distracted. Sheila rudely vents at Bea about the event and not being consulted and makes Bea feel unwelcome. After walking away, Ned tells Bea that Sheila's just on edge because Xanthe's leaving.

Number 32
Dipi wakes up from a nap, while Shane looks at the number of Erinsborough Police Station on his phone. He tells her he's thinking of phoning the police on Gary. He thinks they should show that actions have consequences. Dipi says that Gary has priors, and if he reports Gary to the police, he'll go to prison for a very long time. Gary says Dipi is too soft. Dipi nearly died, but it made her realise what matters most, family and friendships. She asks him to let this go for her and the girls.

The Waterhole
Piper tells Ned that she's getting something for Xanthe's send off, so they can party while she packs. Piper invites them to join them after the gig. Sheila angrily tells Bea off over some audio feedback from the microphone. Ned tells Bea that Sheila is just having a bad day.

BEA: I thought I'd got rid of mum for a hot second, but it's like she's morphed into another person to tell me how crap I am.

Ned reassures Bea, and kisses her. Meanwhile Piper asks Sheila what she's doing here, Xanthe's been looking for her. This is Xanthe's last day, isn't that more important than a shift? Sheila agrees and says she'll be there soon.

Number 26 Back Yard
Gary opens a bottle of champagne, pouring glasses for Xanthe and Piper, while Yashvi pours herself some juice.

The Waterhole
Ned tells Bea she's got this. Bea fist bumps the keyboard player, before she starts singing 'I'll Be There' by Jess Glynne to the audience.

Number 26 Back Yard
We see more celebrating from Xanthe, Piper, Gary and Yashvi. Piper encourages Xanthe to see Ben. Sheila arrives, Xanthe asks if she was avoiding her. Sheila didn't want to ruin her last day. Xanthe says when she first came to Erinsborough that Sheila gave her such a hard time. Xanthe was nervous and scared, but Sheila took her right in.

XANTHE: You've been more than a gran to me, you've been like the mum that I never had. And you've been there to support me and guide me and give me advice, even when I didn't want it. My home will be wherever you are. I love you.

Xanthe and Sheila hug.

(Later)
Bea and Ned join the celebration, telling them how well the gig went. Sheila is about to lead everyone to clean up the mess, when Bea stops Sheila and tells her off for the way she treated her before the gig. Bea says she was rude. Sheila says she was unfair, she was upset about Xanthe leaving and went to work to bury her head in the sand. Sheila says she will support every one of Bea's gigs in the future. Xanthe asks Sheila if she's ready to go, while Ned and Bea say goodbye to Xanthe.

Number 32 Back Yard
Amy visits Shane, asking if he's calmed down. Shane says if he had his way the cops would be dealing with Gary, but Dipi's talked him out of making that call.

SHANE: I've been where Gary is.
AMY: He made a bad choice.
SHANE: He gave himself permission to make that choice and its other people who get hurt every time. You know, I'm surprised that you're standing by him. He basically stole from you and covered it up. What would you say to someone else in your position?
AMY: I guess I'd tell them to look at their values.
SHANE: Yeah, and if they had a kid? Jimmy's bound to be home at some point, do you really want Gary to be a role model to him? I've heard you say yourself that you've been with some losers before. Personally I reckon its about time that you break the pattern.

Ramsay Street
As they load the car, Yashvi promises to visit Xanthe once she has a job and she's rolling in cash. Xanthe suggests Yashvi repeat her VCE, but Yashvi says she isn't going back to school. Amy joins them. Xanthe asks Amy to look after her dad for her.

SHEILA: Remember you're a Canning. Keep your head high and fight for what's yours, and know that your dad and I will always have your back.

Sheila tearfully hugs Xanthe. Gary promises they'll visit her soon and hugs her goodbye. Piper runs out with Xanthe's euphonium. Piper tells her she can't work and study the entire time, Piper will pay for the excess baggage. Xanthe tells everyone that she loves them, asking them to visit her soon.

As she walks away in slow motion, we see flashbacks: Xanthe drops the dishes at Harold's café when she sees Ben for the first time; Xanthe and Ben at the school formal; the Cannings on Family Feud; Xanthe finding a bundle of cash; Sheila soaking Xanthe with the hose when she first met her; Xanthe kissing Ben goodbye when he left Ramsay Street; Xanthe first arriving on Ramsay Street.

Piper prepares to drive Xanthe to the airport. She waves goodbye to them all as they drive off. Sheila looks tearful, while Amy looks uneasily at Gary.

Number 28
Bea and Ned arrive home, kissing. Bea signs her autograph on Ned's hand. Bea says she won't let people's negativity get in her head again. She says there is no one at home, and leads Ned to her bedroom.

Number 26 Back Yard
Gary gets a text from Xanthe: 'On the plane. Love you XXXXX.' Amy joins Gary, passing him a beer. She says she struggled when Jimmy left, she might not have got back on her feet if it wasn't for him. Gary promises to pay back every cent he owes, and says he can be the man she needs him to be. He asks how she feels about him.

AMY: I love you, but you broke my trust and I can't get past that.
GARY: So there's nothing I can do?
AMY: I'm sorry but I can't forgive you. It's over.
