- Tyler being released from prison.
- Tyler asking Piper for time.
- The fact Piper was with Cassius is getting to Tyler.
- Rob nervous about the background check David undertook on him.
- Amy breaking up with Rob.
- Paul discovering that Amy is with Gary.
- Terese declaring that its Leo that she wants.
- Paul walking in on Terese and Leo.
- Paul throwing Leo out of the penthouse suite as well as sacking him.
- Leo moving into #22 after Piper asked him to.
As the titles begin, there is a small change to them – Mishti has been removed from the shot she was previously in with Bea and Elly.
Despite their current issues, Amy reassures her dad that she is there for him if he needs her. She also confirms that she hadn't a clue what was happening between Leo and Terese and breaks the news that he is now living at #22. “Cosy,” is Paul's attempt at a nonchalant reply and David points out that he didn't really give Leo much choice since he wrecked the backpackers. Paul tries to blame the plumbing woes as “bad maintenance” rather than through his actions!
PAUL: If only Leo would service his property as much as he does Terese.
Terese comes down for breakfast to find everyone waiting for her – Leo has made brekkie for them all but Terese doesn't seem too comfortable with Leo trying to earn his keep.
The Brennan siblings are looking through the photos of Aaron's wedding, filling in the gaps for Tyler, who still wishes he'd been there for the day. When they get a visitor (Piper escaping from #22) the siblings clear out to let her chat privately with Tyler.
Tyler thanks her for giving him the time, even though it has killed her being so near him. She gets straight to the point – has he thought about them (yes) but he still needs more time to get his head around things. He turns down her offer to spend the day with him as he's got an appointment (but refuses to give details other than he needs to do this so he can move on), however she seems thrilled when he instead suggests they meet up tonight instead.
Mark gets some useful (or not) help from Shane and Paul on how to help Tyler deal with readjusting to live outside prison. Dipi suggests inviting him to their Tinkle Facebook live video event (fighting the yuk factor) they are holding at The Pavilion. Paul enquires if Rob is going to be there (yes) so gets on his phone to invite David and Amy for lunch… at The Pavilion!
Number 26 backyard
Amy receives her invite to lunch and tells Gary about it. She changes tact and asks what he thinks of Terese and Leo living together, and his only surprise is that its Leo and not Paul. Amy wishes he could come to lunch but Gary thinks this isn't the day to push it.
And we now know what the appointment Tyler has – it's to go and see his half- brother in prison! Cassius looks like he is still in shock at hearing Tyler wanted to see him! He begins by telling Tyler how sorry he is for everything but not unexpectedly Tyler isn't in a forgiving mood!
TYLER: You deserve a lot more but that will come in time.
CASSIUS: If there's anything that you want to say to me.
TYLER: You know I thought I wanted to rip into you, tell you how much damage you've caused, but now, seeing you like this in here, now I can picture you when I need to remember who's to blame for what I went through.
“That's enough for me,” Tyler adds before standing up to walk out of the visiting room. Cassius calls on him to wait because he wants to tell Tyler “my side of things.”
Commercial break later and Tyler has sat back down at the table, ready for Cassius to tell his side of the story. He begins by saying that his mum was addicted to Hamish – she'd convince herself she was over him but then he'd come back into her life saying that he'd changed. Cassius is sure Tyler heard Hamish convince people and confirms that while he didn't hurt her physically, he did emotionally instead by turning his mum into a nervous wreck.
CASSIUS: I was all she had. We didn't have support like you did growing up.
TYLER: Support! You think I had support?!!!
Tyler is very angry at the use of the ‘support' but Cassius backs down by trying to say that his mum had nobody bar him, which is why he couldn't go to jail.
TYLER: (angrily) So you let me suffer instead?!! I bet you planned the whole thing?
CASSIUS: Of course not. But I watched for years as the only person I loved got destroyed by that man. What I did what I did to Hamish, I just snapped, and I know that you get how that feels.
Tyler wants to know why he confessed, and his honest reply is that he “couldn't live with it anymore.”
CASSIUS: I saw what I'd done to your family and I couldn't stand lying to Piper.
TYLER: You love her?
CASSIUS: (nodding) Yes, I do. She deserves everything. If you guys can work it out then I'll be happy for you. We were both manipulated by Hamish, we both loved the same girl. I'm your brother and if things had been different we could have grown up together, we could have been a real family.
TYLER: I have a family and you're never going to be a part of that.
Tyler stands up and menacingly looks down on Cassius before continuing.
TYLER: Enjoy the next 20 years.
As they make their way to the ‘Tinkle' event, the Brennan siblings wonder if Tyler will show up or not but also wonder how they can show him that he isn't in this alone. Chloe has a plan… or at least plans on coming up with a plan to show that but in the meantime, Mark decides to head home instead.
Amy is very surprised to see Rob chatting to Paul when she arrives for lunch. Paul explains Rob is there as part of a ‘Tinkle' event with the Rebecchi's.
AMY: The same place we were meant to have lunch. What a coincidence.
PAUL: Well Erinsborough's a small place isn't it.
AMY: Not that small.
Rob goes to get ready for the event but is persuaded to stay to say hello to David, who is due to arrive soon. However, Paul barely stays long enough to sit Amy down (so they can chat) while he instead goes to chat with Aaron who he has spotted arriving.
ROB: This is awkward.
AMY: Just slightly.
Wow, the hospital has had a makeover – it has gone very white and bright since we saw it last. David is persuaded by Nurse Kriptic to swap places on a course, so she can avoid Rob – apparently, they dated and he did not take the break up well.
Piper is in a pickle over Tyler going to see Cassius and why he has done that. “Maybe he just wants to meet his brother?” Leo suggests and brings back his similar feelings on whether to meet Paul or not. “I just wish that he'd let me help him,” she laments.
After sending Piper inside to get a table (no room outside), Terese suggests to Leo that it would be better for her to have lunch with Piper alone. He is cool with that and heads off after kissing her goodbye.
Leo makes his way to the park to have a word with Gary (he's there with his coffee cart). Gary makes it clear he is happy that he is now dating Terese and likewise, Leo is cool with him dating Amy although remarks that he thought they'd be joined at the hip. Leo tries to put a brave face on when Gary tells him that she's having lunch with David and Paul although perhaps he should take a dose of his own medicine when he tells Gary that he needs to stand up to Paul, so he doesn't think “he's got the better of you.”
We hear Dipi's voice gathering everyone's attention to the event and Rob makes a move to join them but not before letting Amy know he is joining her later for lunch… courtesy of Paul's invite!
Amy makes her displeasure known to Paul when she joins up with him (after he finishes chatting to Aaron) and they make their way forward to watch the event. In turn Paul thinks Amy has doubts about her relationship with Gary (along with a few nasty phrases to describe Gary) because she didn't talk to Rob about it. “It didn't come up,” she informs him.
David turns up just as the presentation starts and tells Aaron what Nurse Kriptic told him.
AARON: Amy definitely dodged a bullet!
Gary appears having taken Leo's advice to heart and Amy is thrilled… Paul not so thrilled and it even seems to have put Rob off his stride too. “We're together,” she tells her dad, and Gary adds in that he needs to get used to it. The pair start to kiss, just a peck to start with before starting to pash long enough to put Rob off his stride. Shane is trying to keep him on focus, but Rob takes the lead out of the generator and turns it on the gathered instead, aiming particularly at Amy and Gary!!!
SHANE: Wait, that's unfiltered urine.
ROB: (to Amy and Gary) That's how you're treated.
Terese is getting an update from work about the incident as she arrives home to a spotlessly clean house courtesy of Leo. In confidence, Terese confides in Ned that only a few days ago she was seeing Leo in secret, now all of a sudden, he's her “house husband.”
NED: You having second thoughts?
TERESE: No, I was just hoping for a more gradual progression.
NED: Okay, so why don't you tell him that?
TERESE: Because he's been fired, and he's been kicked out of home and his fathers disowned him. I'm the only thing he's got going.
Ned reminds her that while Leo is younger than her, he isn't a child and urges her to talk to him. “He'll understand,” Ned says but from the humph she gives him before walking into the kitchen I don't thinks she quite agrees!
Leo comes in with the laundry and Terese quickly explains why she is home (forgotten her diary) however turns down his offer to walk her back to the office. Turning to Piper, he asks if she's heard from Tyler but since she hasn't, guesses that it has gone badly.
LEO: Just be patient ay. He's been to hell, he's probably just trying to find his way back.
As Leo was saying those words to Piper, we saw Tyler walk into the garage forecourt replaying a memory in his head.
“I think we can both agree that this has officially gone too far,” Amy declares as she comes out of the shower to talk to her dad who is also in his dressing gown but sitting on the sofa (false leg on the table). “I do agree,” Paul concurs but is taking Rob's side in that Amy and Gary drove him to do what he did. Amy looks like she wants to argue back but decides to take the moral high ground instead by saying “there's no point throwing blame around,” however things need to change, and she is worried about her old man.
PAUL: Why? I'm not the one kissing Gary.
“You're hurting,” she declares but he is wrong to take it out on Gary and herself. Paul thinks he is doing the right thing by stopping her from picking dud men.
PAUL: Liam, Kyle, Nick and now Gary.
AMY: This isn't about me.
PAUL: It is absolutely about you. It's how you cannot be trusted to choose a guy who won't let you down or leave you in the lurch or get locked up! Come on, face it Amy, you're attracted to losers.
AMY: I'm sorry but when did you become an expert on relationships? The fourth or fifth divorce?! And I'm sorry but you were the one that tried to matchmake me with a guy that's just sprayed us in urine. See a therapist dad, buy another sports car, I dunno date another bimbo, anything, just stop taking your anger out on me.
Aaron drops round some clean clothes for David and to check if he is still okay with attending whatever it is Chloe has planned for Tyler the next day (he can attend). They wonder what will happen to Rob and just at that, David spots a security guy and wonders if he's there for Rob but before we get an answer, we see an unconscious and bashed up Cassius being wheeled into the hospital.
Dipi and Shane report to Terese that The Pavilion is all cleaned up after what happened earlier and Shane jokes that the publicity is good (lots of videos being shared online). “It wasn't a total disaster afterall,” Terese remarks on hearing that Paul copped a lot of the urine!
Leo spots Terese as he walks through the complex and wonders if she fancies going for a drink. When she doesn't give an immediate reply (and looks like she'd rather be elsewhere than talking to him), he asks if they are okay? She then begins to say he's doing too much around the house and Leo twigs but explains that all that's happened lately has freaked him out and he's overcompensated. Terese looks relieved to hear him admit that, she thought it was just her and he promises to slow things right down again (and go back to the backpackers once its repaired).
Piper is on the phone when Tyler arrives home and he spots that she is upset, so asks what's wrong. She explains that it was Aaron who called and explains about seeing a patient being brought in with prison guards.
PIPER: It was Cassius.
TYLER: What happened?
PIPER: He was attacked by another prisoner and its really bad. He needs surgery.
Tyler then notices the way that Piper is looking at her and eventually works out why but wants her to say it.
PIPER: Did you arrange to have Cassius attacked?
