Jane explains to Chloe why she is looking round and that Dipi said nobody would be home when she got the go ahead to look round her former house. “I'm a family friend,” Chloe says but before she barely gets the sentence out, Dipi appears asking who she is and why is she in her backyard!
CHLOE: (to Jane) A new family friend.
Chloe introduces herself to Dipi and says that Mishti gave her permission to use the spa and pleads for what happened to be kept among themselves as she doesn't want it to affect her new job. “I'll take that as a yes,” Chloe replies before she scarpers off, taking Dipi telling her to leave as confirmation she will keep what happened quiet.
Over a cuppa, Jane tells Dipi about life when she lived in the house and notices the changes that have been done to the place. She also confirms that she lives in England with her Nan, the infamous Mrs Mangel, and she has returned for nostalgic reasons. Much to Dipi's relief, Jane confirms that she was the one to contact the real estate agent but has no plans to buy the place.
As she chatted with Jane, Dipi got a text from Shane to say they've got a plumbing issue in the café, so bearing in mind what she discovered when she got home, she nips next door to do a deal with Chloe – in return for keeping quiet, Lassiters will pick the tab up for the plumber. Chloe is more than happy to accept that deal although Dipi warns her, the bill might not be cheap!

Jane is tempted to go inside #32 when she finds the door unlocked but she decides to stay outdoors. However, someone isn't amused at her presence – Clancy! Thankfully, she isn't in peril for too long (although I think Clancy is the one to be worried after she tries fending him off with a brush!) when Yashvi arrives home and calls Clancy off. The lass doesn't look too impressed at the visitor and Jane doesn't hang around too long before deciding to leave.
Aaron and David have an awkward meet when they run into each other in the café, thankfully Chloe's arrival and needing help from her brother allows for an easy parting.
Chloe wants Aaron's advice on who to ask to get the plumbing issue sorted and eventually he suggests hiding a work order in amongst other papers that Paul needs to sign.
Xanthe has barely got her bum on the seat and the laptop working when she receives a visitor – Ben! Its like role reversal from last week – this time it's her that is too busy with studying to warmly welcome him.
Aaron's plan for Chloe looks like it's about to work a treat… that is until Paul spots a visitor to the hotel…
PAUL: I don't believe it, plain Jane super brain!
JANE: Do you know how many years it's been since someone's called me that?!
Jane wondered how long it would be before she saw Paul, since she is staying in the hotel, and while Paul is distracted by his former PA appearing, Chloe manages to get his signature on the all- important document. Thankfully for Chloe, Jane doesn't drop her in it before Paul suggests they head to his penthouse suite to catch up.
As they head for the lift, Jane spots her Nan's portrait and seems happy at seeing it again.
“That's impressive,” Dipi compliments Chloe with when she comes in to show her the work order that Paul signed off. She even agrees to keep the secret quiet and Chloe asks if she can talk to Jane too as Chloe thinks she could blab at any moment.
Xanthe still doesn't look too chuffed at Ben being back even when he hands over a gift for her (a heart with their initials on it).
Chloe uses the fact that there is also a newbie in charge of the spa (Elaine) to get her to change David's spa package to a couples one!
Mark is rather suss when Chloe comes home to tell Aaron about the spa package he is booked into. She wasn't bargaining on Aaron turning her generosity down though (he's busy at The Shed) but eventually she manages to persuade him to go to the appointment.
Jane is somewhat rather evasive when Paul asks about Mrs Mangel, but we do hear though that Joe is in Port Douglas now with his family. Paul does admire Jane being Mrs Mangel's main carer since her husband died. He turns instead and asks about her and we hear she is divorced and has two kids that she doesn't see very often as they are off living their own lives. Paul suggests that her old flame Des is single… until Jane sets him straight by saying he's now in Perth and got married to Fiona 5 months ago! And to round off the update, Jane explains that her other ex (Mike) is teaching underprivileged kids in the Philippines.
PAUL: Do you keep tabs on all your ex's do you?
JANE: And yours! Gail says to say hi by the way.
Paul is still curious to know how she is so well- informed and she points out that they do now live “in the social media era.” “Yes, I guess we are,” it eventually dawns on him.
Elaine leads David through to the treatment room and tells him to lay down next to his boyfriend… this is of course news to David and to an alarmed Mark that is lying down on one of the tables!!! Eventually they manage to work out how the mishap has arisen
MARK: Don't listen to Chloe… ever, you'll learn that the hard way!
Chloe doesn't seem to understand that she did anything wrong as Mark and Aaron moan at her. “I don't need a push,” Aaron firmly tells his sister and he doesn't want her playing cupid as he is still feeling guilty at what he did to David.
“Yes, of course you do,” Paul comments after Jane confirms she knows about Clive being in Erinsborough too (turns out they ran into each other and had brunch). Eventually Paul wants to know why Jane is back, as it is a bit too far for “a stroll down memory lane.” “The timing felt right,” she replies and agrees with Paul's sentimental reasons as to why he wouldn't want to live anywhere else. She can't but help have a friendly dig at Paul over David and Leo coming into his life as well as him almost marrying Courtney!
PAUL: You know if I wanted conversation with your Gran, I would have flown over to England for the real deal. Its like sitting here with Mrs Mangel mark 2!
JANE: Well now you're just talking rubbish.
Paul points out to her that he isn't, she is a chip off the old block, which she immediately takes the hump with and goes to leave! “I'm just having a bit of fun,” he tries to say to persuade her to stay, but she grabs her handbag and heads to the lift.
Ben is trying to think of something that they can do but Xanthe turns them all down because she has loads of studying to do. The pair argue because Ben feels left out at Xanthe not telling him about her marks falling (and so why she has to study rather than spend the day with him) and eventually she walks off.
Aaron spots David and immediately apologises for what his sister did. David is okay with what happened, he enjoyed seeing the look on Mark's face!
David moves off and swaps places in the lift with Jane. She is talking to someone on the phone about #32 and the changes that have been done to the place.
JANE: And it might take a bit longer than we thought.

Xanthe isn't amused to see Ben appear, she is still busy doing schoolwork. Ben acknowledges that he shouldn't have sprung his visit on her but offers to do whatever it takes to get her back on track with the schoolwork.
XANTHE: I'm sorry too. The more I think about us, what we both need to do, and what we want to achieve, you know I keep coming to the same conclusion. This has to happen for both of us, it's… we have to break up.
