- Concern about Xanthe's marks.
- Xanthe trying to organise her life.
- Dakota taking the USB stick and doing a runner.
- Rafael wanting justice.
- Mishti telling Leo she is pregnant.
- Mishti curious about who Dakota is.
- Hearing that Paul is innocent of the fire.
There is a change to the titles – the shot of Paige, Jack and Gabe has been removed.
Over breakfast, David repeats to Elly that Rafael wants justice and isn't willing to settle for anything else.
Aaron watches them from afar, tossing up whether to hand the USB stick over or not.
Leo lies to Terese on why he didn't make the conference but she's okay as she sorted things out with the conference organisers. Paul wants them to move on too and next on Terese's list is getting the 5- star rating back and is told to write down her thoughts as he (and Leo) have other things to attend to!
Xanthe has flown north to spend some time with Ben… except he's flat out at work (Kirky has been off work ill so it's all down to him) and despite initially having the day off, he's now got to work it. Someone isn't very happy!!!
Aaron interrupts the family meeting (they are trying to decide how to spend the day) to hand over the USB stick. “That looks like the one I lost in London,” Leo says while taking it from Aaron, curious to know why she returned it. After he puts it in and loads it up, Paul immediately sees that their evidence is gone but of course sees the new file that is now sitting there.
The family read that Dakota and Carlos have taken responsibility but again are curious to know why? “Maybe what I told her played on her mind?” Leo suggests. Amy though has her doubts on the validity of the document. Eventually the penny drops, and Paul realises that he is in the clear. After making a copy of the file, David rushes out of the apartment with the USB stick to go and see Rafael.
Toadie finishes going over the court paperwork with Rafael when David arrives. “I've got something that you will want to see,” he greets Rafael with.
Ben has at least taken a break to sit outside with Xanthe but when she tries to talk to him about her concerns at home (Sheila and school) he's not paying any attention as his mind is focused on work. Thankfully the ringing phone comes to prevent them having an argument… well at least for the moment!
Mishti eventually decides she's had enough of what she feels like is Leo and his family censoring themselves when she is around and tells him so. Leo somewhat reassures her that these feelings aren't in her head and comes clean about the reason for his real trip to London and that they now have proof of what really did happened. “We wanted to get to the bottom of it,” he says before apologising to her and its admission time from Mishti now – she tells him that she knew about the fire because Rafael wanted her to investigate it. She too apologises for not telling him (that she knew) because she couldn't and in hindsight wonders if she had been able to help him, would Leo's accident still have happened?
LEO: You knew Rafael had a vendetta and you didn't mention it?!
MISHTI: Would you have told me the truth if you did discover that Paul was guilty?!
I think could be declared 1- 1!!
David is somewhat surprised that Rafael is not happy at what he has just read on the USB – he is frustrated that he has spent a year chasing the wrong person. Rafael then drops his bombshell that he needs to leave, he plans to return to the UK to hunt Dakota down.
Susan wants to pay her bill with her card, but Sheila suddenly asks if she can pay cash, nervously saying that she can't remember the code. Nothing is said about it and instead Susan wants to talk about Ross Wilson's visit, but Sheila is very much playing it down and seems somewhat relived when Xanthe calls her.
Xanthe is calling Sheila to moan about their plans having to change because Ben has to work. Getting somewhat worked up, Sheila tells her to tell Ben she expected more given she's gone all the way up there to see him!
Susan is struggling to keep a straight face the longer the conversation went on, as Sheila was getting quite het up!
SUSAN: Remind me never to cancel plans with you!
Rafael thanks the Robinson clan for meeting him so that he can thank them for finding out what happened to his mum. “Well we were glad to do that,” Paul replies on everyone's behalf. Rafael says that he has booked a flight to the UK but before he leaves, he sincerely apologises to them.
Paul does feel responsible though and announces that he is going to pay Rafael's fine and promises to be in touch should he hear any further information about Dakota. Since they are all being honest – Rafael comes clean about the chess piece but has bought a new one to replace the one he stole, then broke.
Paul and Leo head back to work, despite it being a holiday and Amy leaves too as she has plans.
DAVID: Subtle, aren't they?!
Despite everything, Rafael is pleased to have had David in his life.
RAFAEL: You are the first person that I ever met that's made me feel comfortable about myself.
DAVID: You're something special.
RAFAEL: I'll never forget what we had. You made me feel wanted.
“Same,” David replies and Rafael says that David shouldn't forget about Aaron either – he went out of his way to find out the truth for them, something he didn't need to do.
RAFAEL: He still has feelings for you and if I'm going to live my life then you should live yours.
With ‘Don't wait' aptly being played in the background, the pair share one final hug before Rafael picks up his bag and walks out of the hotel.
Taking onboard what Sheila said to her, Xanthe confronts Ben and says that he is ignoring her! He thinks she is exaggerating and reminds her that the weekend isn't over and promises he will make it up to her tonight. She does get that being a mechanic is important to him, comparing it to her going back to school to finish Year 12, and agrees to go easy on him since she remembers them having to amend plans to allow her to study. It is a good thing she even brought her laptop, so while he goes back to work she will do some extra studying.
David thanks Aaron for passing on the info to help Rafael and then tells him that he has gone back to the UK for good. Aaron genuinely seems surprised at the news and listens to David unload on his new thoughts on relationships now he is no longer green like he was when he first got together with Aaron.
With the aptly named ‘On fire' playing in the background, Mishti is out for a run and when she pauses for a breather outside the hotel. She looks at her reflection and tries to imagine herself pregnant.
It's bubbles and a clear the air time for the Robinson family as they digest the news that Paul is in the clear over Rafael. Amy volunteers to help her brother get over Rafael leaving by suggesting they go out and they quickly head out of the apartment.
Paul though is still annoyed that what occurred happened “on his watch” and does not want it happening again, so plans to keep a better eye on things. Leo points out that was ill when it happened, and it won't be allowed to happen as he has an “impeccable support team around you.” Paul recognises that and then tells Leo that he has a proposition for him…
Terese is thinking about Gabe (she found one of his shoes left behind in the garden) when Mishti arrives back in the street after her run and does not look well at all. Putting 2 and 2 together, Terese asks Mishti if its morning sickness that is wrong with her (she recognised the symptoms!). Mishti confirms that she is pregnant, but its Leo that is bothering her.
MISHTI: I don't trust him. He doesn't tell me the truth.
Terese isn't sure what to say back and Mishti tells her the truth about the trip to London he took.
Elly is happy to be interrupted by a call from Xanthe, although she does wonder why the lass was phoning when she was supposed to be away for the weekend! Xanthe is after advice on her subjects, following the talk from Jack and Elly thinks she wanted to drop one but Xanthe is intent on doing 5 and wants to do extra hours of work experience or an internship. She explains the inspiration (to do more) came from Ben when he suggested that they could still love each other but concentrate on their respective careers.
Terese arrives and is very annoyed and barely lets Paul acknowledge her before unleashing her temper for him keeping quiet on what Leo was really up to in London. “It wasn't necessary,” he replies but she thinks it was – she would have taken care of the video presentation to allow him to concentrate on other matters. Paul then announces that he has a solution – and wants Terese to take some annual leave! “How's that going to help now?” she asks, and Paul explains that she dropped the ball over the presentation as she was caught up with Piper and can't afford for that to happen.
TERESE: Are you joking?!
PAUL: It wasn't meant to be a criticism. No, your attention should be with Piper right now, not with the hotel.
TERESE: I can manage both and the hotel can't run itself.
Paul has thought of that and has a replacement ready to step in – Leo!
PAUL: Its done Terese, you're on 3 months leave as of now and that's final!
Coming up on Neighbours
