Back Lane Bar
Aaron comes back inside and Rory asks if things are ok. Aaron tells him things aren't ok and looks annoyed. Rory tries to explain. Aaron interrupts to ask why Rory wore that particular shirt. Rory explains it was for branding purposes, he wanted Crystal to see them as international. Aaron reminds him that David didn't know they met up in Paris. Aaron asks if it was part of a plan, Rory looks blank. Aaron explains he means to win him back.

AARON: Everything's just blown up in my face.

Rory apologises that this has happened. He claims he wouldn't have known David would arrive and wonders why Aaron would think this! Aaron doesn't know what to think. Aaron is auditioning and rehearsing and pulling him and David apart. Rory admits he's glad they've been able to reconnect but claims he wants Aaron to be happy. Rory has always wanted that, even if Aaron wants to be with David. Rory claims he doesn't want to come between Aaron and David. Aaron says he needs to go. Rory asks if Aaron is happy leaving things as they are, Aaron needs to find David.

Back Lane
David turns out of the lane and head along past the shops.

No.22
Piper is sitting at her laptop thinking about something. Terese brings over a hot drink and out of curiosity wants to know why Piper made her decision about the course. Piper explains that Tyler didn't try to talk her out of the course, he encouraged her to go. Tyler promised they'd make things work and told her it's a big opportunity for her. Piper is deferring so she's able to be here for Tyler. Terese points out that these things aren't certain and that this course is a golden opportunity. Piper doesn't want Tyler to face the trial alone. Terese points out that Tyler will certainly be spending time in prison for a period of time so asks what Piper will do after the trial. Piper will visit Tyler as she will be close by. Piper has made this decision so she wants Terese to leave it. Terese doesn't look so impressed!

Penthouse Apartment
David arrives and distractedly asks Paul if Amy is home. Paul explains that Amy is out with Jimmy and he hasn't seen Leo. David doesn't respond when Paul asks how brunch went with Aaron, Paul asks what happened. David brushes it off but Paul encourages him to talk about it. They go out on the café.

Wellness Centre
Gary and Sheila come in through the door. Gary wants to talk about things. Sheila reminds him they agreed that Xanthe shouldn't be discouraged from coming to them if necessary. Gary thinks Karl and Susan will want to know what's going on. Sheila wonders why she has to be here instead of putting her feet up at home!

Gary tries to explain but is interrupted by Dipi and Elly coming into the room and laughing about something. Sheila is surprised to see them. Dipi explains when they went out they decided to treat themselves to the infinity package. Elly thinks Sheila should try it as it's wonderful. They're now heading off for facials but Dipi suggests she meets up with Sheila for a coffee later. Sheila claims to be very busy! Gary tries to remind Sheila what she said but Sheila cuts him short.

No.24
Piper and Tyler are relaxing on the sofa. Piper hopes that changing her mind wasn't the reason Tyler got her to come over. Tyler doesn't want her to defer her course for him and he's serious about this. Piper points out that both he and Terese are serious and she is as well. He agrees with this and goes off to get ready for Toadie.

Mark who has been sitting at the bench greets Ben as he arrives. Mark comments that there's a lot to do at the garage this afternoon and Ben's ready. Mark answers a call as he goes to get ready. Ben starts eating Mark's sandwich he has left on the side.

PIPER: Keep up that strength Ben, yeah now that you and Xanthe are good to go!

Ben wryly comments he's glad Xanthe has told her what happened! Piper is happy for them both. Karl and Susan being away must make things easier as well! Ben has got two uni offers to study music. Ben isn't sure if he wants it to do it as a full-time job though. Ben congratulates her on getting into her uni. Piper explains as a lot is going on she's going to take a gap year. She'll figure out what to do and keep blogging. Ben points out she wants to find out what happens to Tyler as well.

Penthouse Apartment
David and Paul are sitting on the balcony. David has cottoned onto the fact that for weeks Aaron has been pulling away. After what happened with Gabe and Tyler, Aaron didn't rush to tell David. The proposal was a mess as well. Paul agrees there is a breakdown in communication, David wants to know if they can move on. Paul asks if David actually wants to do that.

PAUL: Nobody lies just for the sake of it.

Aaron arrives to see David, Paul tries to deter him. Aaron tells Paul it's between him and David. Paul realises that but still politely asks Aaron to leave. Aaron calls to David that he wants to sort things out. David doesn't reply, Paul tells Aaron to go. Aaron leaves.

The Waterhole
Aaron is sitting at a table looking downcast and Elly joins him. Aaron agrees he didn't listen when Elly told him Rory would be a problem. Elly reminds him he tried to help a mate and doesn't think it's as bad as it seems. Aaron thinks it's worse, David won't look at him. Elly points out that David will calm down in the future. Aaron has doubts as Rory was in his hotel room but it was all innocent. Elly reminds him he's made a mistake but they do love each other. This relationship means everything to both of them and it's David's first relationship. Elly tells Aaron to make David see this.

Dipi comes in and asks Sheila for a coffee. Sheila tells her one of the staff will be able to serve her. Dipi wants to know what the problem is and has noticed Sheila was giving her the cold shoulder at the retreat. Sheila denies it and says Dipi has all the company she needs! Sheila admits she might have felt a pang of jealousy over Dipi and Elly spending time together and Dipi wants to know why.

SHEILA: Because I thought we were the 'infinity package friends'.

Dipi agrees they are but points out she should be allowed to have other friends as well. Sheila agrees that Amy and Elly are the friends to have fun with, Sheila will soon be the mother figure friend! Dipi wants to know what is wrong with that. Sheila tells Dipi to order her coffee with another staff member and walks off.

No.24
Toadie asks how Tyler was feeling when he went to see Hamish. Tyler admits to feeling fired up. Aaron in Paris had told him over the phone that Hamish had ripped Elissa Gallow off. They found Hamish's briefcase and Tyler took everything he knew to Hamish. Tyler confirms that Hamish admitted to it all. Hamish hid the new will that had been made and arranged things so that Tyler would be sacked. Hamish got Tyler to break up with Piper by faking the messages from T-Bone. This made Tyler feel angry about everything Hamish did and the lies. It was all down to a tax bill! That was the original reason but it then switched to all being about Tyler. Tyler didn't believe Hamish and wanted to leave. Tyler intended to leave and started to walk away. He stopped when Hamish told him he loved him.

TYLER: I grabbed the gnome that Hamish gave to Sheila.

Toadie asks what his intention was. Tyler just wanted to hurt Hamish as Hamish hurt Tyler and everyone else. Tyler's intention was to make Hamish suffer. Tyler wasn't proud of what he did but he didn't want Hamish to die.

Wellness Centre
Gary and Terese come in and sit down. Terese wonders if Tyler gets convicted of manslaughter and the sentence is shorter, Piper's gap year will help her choose what to do next. Gary asks what happens if the worst happens. Terese points out the year will give them a chance to adapt to their new lives. Terese thinks as prison was good for Gary and Nick it could work out for Tyler and give him a chance to rethink things. Gary isn't so sure! Terese says that Tyler will be a better person after prison for Piper. Gary tells Terese that prison isn't like boarding school where there are many bad people. Some manage to turn their lives around but not everyone does. People get involved with the wrong crowd. Terese agrees it won't be easy. Gary reminds her about his past, the problems Tyler had with Russell. Gary isn't sure that Tyler will stay on the right path if he goes down.

GARY: I'd hate to see her (Piper) get tangled up with someone who might come out different man than when he went in.

The Waterhole
Dipi who has got changed has been waiting for Sheila who has come out of the back room. Dipi tells Sheila they're going out so she needs to get changed. Sheila isn't so sure. Dipi is determined to do this unless Sheila wants to hold a grudge! Sheila states she's not a charity case and isn't holding a grudge. Dipi also reassures Sheila she's not the same as her Mum.

DIPI: What we have is special. Don't let my mistake ruin it.

Dipi tells Sheila they're going to have a great night. Sheila tries saying there are things waiting for her at home to be done. Dipi tells her that cocktails and dancing are more important. Sheila agrees and they head out.

Rory comes in and heads over to where Aaron is sitting on the same bench. Rory wants to know if Aaron is doing ok as he hasn't replied to his texts. Aaron wonders what ok is! Rory apologises as he didn't plan to cause trouble. Aaron doesn't think Rory is to blame and there was a reason for Rory to wear the shirt. Rory apologises again and Aaron thinks he should apologise as he doesn't think it was ok to suggest Rory was trying to win him back. Aaron looks at a message he has received on his phone, he needs to go as the message is from his brother. Rory offers to help if Aaron needs anything, Aaron thanks him and leaves. Rory rings someone and tells them he owes them. Moving the time of the audition was brilliant.

No.24
Toadie tells Aaron, Mark and Tyler that he has talked to the barrister and gone over the brief. The barrister and Tyler don't recommend that Tyler takes the stand. Aaron wants to know how the jury are meant to hear what Tyler has to say.

TOADIE: I don't know how he (Tyler) can possibly tell his story without adversely affecting his case.

The prosecutor will ask why Tyler picked up the gnome and went back to Hamish. Tyler says he won't state that he wanted to hurt Hamish. Toadie wonders what the alternative is, Tyler wants to say he didn't intend to kill Hamish. The jury are expecting Tyler to give that answer and the prosecution will hammer Tyler on that very point. It will help them with what they are already trying to prove. Tyler had the opportunity, means, motive and intended to kill. Mark realises that the jury will be convinced Tyler intended to kill Hamish. Aaron thinks that means the jury are going to win. Toadie promises they plan to fight and see who will have the most persuasive case without Tyler's testimony. Mark wants to know how much time Tyler could get.

No.22
Ben is astounded that Tyler might get 10 years. If they can't beat the murder charge Toadie thinks that's the best case scenario. Ben tries to apologise but Tyler doesn't want him to. Piper is determined for Toadie to beat the murder charge. Tyler doesn't think it will be possible from what Toadie was saying. Tyler doesn't want to go down for 10 years, Piper tells him he won't do that, Tyler wants her to be real, Piper says they are real. Tyler wonders how they will carry on if he's locked up for all that time. Piper promises not to go anywhere and will be here all this time. Terese listens to their conversation out of sight. Tyler tells her she can't. Piper tells him she loves him and they'll get through this if they stay together. Tyler tells her she's amazing.

Penthouse Apartment
David tells Paul on the balcony he found everything he'd always wanted when he found Paul, Amy, Jimmy plus Aaron. Paul points out they'll be there for David if things don't work out with Aaron. Paul also thinks David has good business prospects. Paul has invested $200,000 in the hospital wing and wants David to be involved. Paul realises how special David is to him and he's missed out on so much of David's life. David thanks Paul. David goes to ring Aaron.

Back Lane Bar
Dipi wants to talk about men even on a girls' night out but Sheila doesn't want to talk about them. Sheila describes her love life as a broken highway and there's been too much heavy traffic and then a dead end! Dipi thinks that prioritising Russell over Clive wasn't the best idea. Then Sheila got involved with Hamish and vows never to be ruled by lust again. Dipi thinks that it's important to have a spark and asks if there was heat with Clive. Sheila admits there was some and Clive is a sweetheart. Dipi wants to plan for Sheila and Clive to get back together. Sheila points out that Clive wasn't keen on the idea at the end of the last year. Dipi points out that thinking and feeling are different things. Sheila thinks Dipi is very confident! Dipi is convinced Sheila needs to include herself in Clive's life.

Piper comes down in the dark to find Terese curled up crying in the armchair. Piper wants to know what the matter is. Terese denies that anything is the matter. Piper presses Terese to reveal what is going on. Terese tells Piper that she wants Tyler to get through this. She doesn't want Piper to put her whole life on hold for Tyler. Piper and Tyler love each other but if Tyler is lucky it could be at least 10 years. Piper reminds Terese that Tyler needs her. Terese asks Piper what she needs. Piper starts crying and Terese apologises for doing this but she can't just let Piper throw her life away for Tyler. She wants Piper to think things over again, even if it's just for Terese.

Penthouse Apartment
Aaron arrives and David thanks him for coming over. Aaron apologises for being such an idiot and kisses David on the forehead. Aaron wants to focus on what really matters so they need to sort this out. David wants to know how Tyler is. Aaron admits things don't look good for Tyler but Aaron thinks it makes what Aaron said himself more important. Aaron promises not to see Rory again. Aaron doesn't want David to have to feel this way again.

AARON: You're everything to me. I need you to know that.

David tells Aaron it hurt too much to do this at the time but he can't do this. David tells Aaron he's not really what Aaron wants and thinks they're too different. Aaron admits for the right reasons he did the wrong thing. Aaron wonders if it counts. David tells Aaron if he can't trust him he's not able to be with him. Aaron tries convincing David but David tells him that's the way things are. Aaron leaves as David tears up.

Fitzgerald Motors
Piper arrives as Ben is sweeping the floor. Ben asks how Tyler is. Piper doesn't reply and Ben repeats he can't believe that Tyler could get 10 years. Piper comments that Hamish abused Tyler's trust and manipulated him. Ben points out that he went and admitted what happened to the police. Ben offers to help if Piper needs anything. Piper needs something and Ben is eager to know what it is.

PIPER: I need you to change your statement.

Piper doesn't think they need to make a big deal of it, Ben thinks it is as it's an official statement. Piper wants Ben to tell them that he's remembered something else. Piper thinks it will look like self defence if Ben tells the police that he overheard Hamish threatening Tyler. Piper thinks it will help Tyler but Ben points out he would be lying. Piper thinks it's worth it but Ben reminds her they lied about the school fire. Things got out of control and the same thing will happen again now. Piper wants to know if Ben has any other ideas. Piper wants to know if it's fair that Hamish has wrecked Tyler's life. Piper thinks that Ben is the only one who can do something about it.
