Number 22
Terese is very quick to put Gary right that she is not pregnant! She manages to get rid of him quickly too by saying she is simply under the weather and refuses a farewell kiss from him, in case she passes something onto him.

Number 24
Piper can't believe how much of her stuff has been posted. She is fearful that they will find out where she lives, but Tyler is quick to reassure her that he nor Mark will let that happen. He also reassures her that he won't look at any of her private stuff too after she really stresses out about him seeing things when she's simply been venting.

Number 26
Xanthe lets Piper into the house and tells her that she thinks she is happy (she looks it too!) and empathises with her friend when Piper tells her about her internet account being hacked.

PIPER: You might not be so sympathetic in a minute. They've posted up a bunch of these DMs I sent to Tyler about you.

Backpackers
Steph is round to talk motel business with Leo but he's more interested in getting the backpackers up and ready for its re-opening later on that day. Jack offers to assist, more to let them talk, but Steph realises she's not going to get anywhere so calls their meeting off. She does ask if he needs help and Leo asks to borrow lamps from The Flame Tree to provide mood lighting as a photographer is coming from a budget travel site to do a profile on the place.

Number 22
Gary tries to sneak into the house to drop off some soup for Terese but finds her asleep on the sofa. She explains that as wanting to sleep downstairs and rejects the soup offer too as she isn't hungry. While Gary re-fills her water bottle, he brings up whether she's thought about having another child and is politely informed no! She then just about takes his hand off when he tries to reach for her bag (her phone is ringing in it) but it rings off before she's a chance to get it and taking her bag with her, decides to head upstairs to her bed.

Number 26
"You think I am stupid?" Xanthe asks after reading what Piper wrote about her. It doesn't get any better either, next Xanthe is accused of being dumb for thinking that Finn thought she was special, "when it's so obvious he's just using her." Piper pleads that she was simply worried about her and the spell Finn seemed to have over her. She also pleads that Tyler is the only person that's seen it, "until now," Xanthe remarks.

PIPER: I am so, so, so sorry Xanthe. If I could take it all back I would. I think you're smart, you're so smart and you're one of the best people I know.
XANTHE: That's what Finn would say.
PIPER: No. No Xanthe, the difference is that I mean it. I mean it.
XANTHE: Everything you've been saying about me is right. Everything everyone's been saying about me is right.

A teary Xanthe asks Piper to leave as she wants to be alone.

Backpackers
Amy finishes rigging up the solar power for the lights when Paul and Steph (with the requested lamps) come by to see how things are going. Steph isn't amused at him splashing out for lights from the emergency fund and he rationalises it by saying he didn't think she'd come through with the lamps. Paul is more concerned about Terese than to be bothered about the use of the emergency fund.

Harold's Cafe
Aaron and David run into each other when they both come into the café for some refreshments. It's still very awkward between the pair of them and Aaron tries to persuade David to go to the reopening when he is hesitant about going because of family tension.

DAVID: It might be weird me going.
AARON: It might be weirder if you don't. I don't know what is going on but I do know that you are the most important person in Leo's life. Come on, look he's put everything on the line to get the backpackers reopened. You sure you want to miss it?

Meanwhile, Gary interrupts Sonya reading the paper to ask if Terese has said anything about what is going on at an AA meeting as he is concerned. Sonya explains that the meetings are confidential although reassures him that Terese is in a good place so doesn't think she's slipped.

GARY: I know there is something wrong with her and I can't figure out for the life of me what else it can be.

Sonya doesn't know what to say to him and he begs her to check up on Terese as she will recognise the signs better than him. "Okay," she quietly replies back to him.

Number 22
As she heads downstairs to open the door, Terese reassures Piper on the phone that she won't look online.

The caller is Paul, he's round because he was concerned she wasn't replying to the texts he's sent. She tells him about being worried about Piper and Gary knowing something is up thanks to Val. Paul tells her she's to prioritise herself and her recovery even if it might not come naturally to her.

PAUL: It's absolutely essential you start putting yourself first.

Paul forces her to put theory into practice by getting rid of the caller who has just knocked on the door. Its Sonya, round to check up on her at Gary's request, but Terese confidently reassures her she is fine although she certainly doesn't look it!

Number 24
Tyler gets a text from Evan alerting him to the stuff Piper has said about him. Despite his earlier promise that he wouldn't look, he goes onto her laptop and starts looking. Tyler opens a file where she is ranting off about his behaviour (in the aftermath of what happened with T-Bone) and she fears that they will grow so far apart (causing them to split) because he's been left behind.

Backpackers
Leo puts out the 'open' sign for the hostel and tells Steph to stay away when she asks if she can help! "You're welcome," she sarcastically replies as he walks off and when Jack comes over to talk, asks if Leo "can get any more annoying?!" Jack puts Leo's behaviour down to him being stressed and is sure he will have appreciated her being there. Steph doesn't think so and gets it off her chest about what she perceives is Paul letting Leo off with things he'd never let her do. Again, Jack thinks it's just Leo adjusting to being in a new situation - a partnership with the 3 of them as well as being Paul's son.

STEPH: You know for a former priest you're a pretty good devil's advocate aren't you!
JACK: Mmm, guilty!

Number 24
Tyler is still sulking after watching the video and is refusing to go to the reopening. Aaron reminds him that he was being an idiot when Piper recorded that video! Tyler is more fearful that Piper thinks he isn't good enough for her and wants to tell her. Aaron doesn't think that is a good idea and points out that if Piper thought that, she wouldn't have put so much of an effort into being with him, risking her relationship with her parents and living on lentils!

AARON: I think what she said, she said in the heat of the moment.

He reminds Tyler that she loves him and thinks it would be best if he simply lets it go, otherwise "the online jerks win."

Number 26
Gary isn't getting much company at home as Xanthe is still upset after reading what Piper wrote about her.

He is happy to see Sonya though, even though she didn't manage to get anything. She does agree with him that Terese is acting strange including not letting her into the house. "It doesn't mean that she's drinking," Sonya is quick to add and thinks he needs to find out more information before he approaches her.

Number 24
As they sit on the couch watching television, Piper is worried if her mum has read anything (she's fearful of the same reaction Xanthe gave). Tyler is about to confess to having looked when Gary comes into the house. Initially she thinks he is there to have a go, but he's actually there to see if she suspects Terese is drinking again. Piper doesn't think she's seen anything but wants them to confront Terese now, remembering the last time things had progressed so far before anyone realised there was an issue. She agrees to be with Gary as they confront her, as Terese will need support.

Backpackers
Everyone is having a ball at the party to celebrate the reopening and there is even a thaw in the frosty relationship between Steph and Leo! Leo is also happy to see that his brother has come and they shake hands before going inside to get some drinks.

JACK: (to Aaron) I'm going to go out on a limb and say that tonight has been a success.

Number 22
Terese is somewhat surprised to see a reception committee of Piper, Gary and Sonya waiting for her as she makes her way down from her bedroom. "Is everything okay?" she asks, fearful that the hackers have done something else to her daughter.

"We're here for you mum," Piper begins with and Sonya follows up by saying they aren't trying to corner or accuse her of anything, they simply care about her and so are worried. Terese isn't amused at Gary's over-reaction and he thinks she is covering things up and wants her to be honest, especially to herself.

TERESE: (confused) Honest about what?!
GARY: You're drinking.

Terese looks gobsmacked at what he said to her and he follows that up by asking if she is drinking again.

TERESE: You've got to be kidding me!
GARY: You're showing all the signs. You're defensive, quick to anger, unsteady on your feet.
TERESE: Well you've got it wrong... again!

He can sense there is something she isn't telling them, and Piper interjects to ask what it is. Before she does that, Terese asks Sonya to leave as she wants to talk to her family in private. "Of course," Sonya replies and heads out of the house.

PIPER: Mum, you're scaring me.
TERESE: I know, I'm scared too. Look, what you've been noticing, it hasn't been that the effects of alcohol, its chemo. The doctors got it wrong, I have cancer.
