Queensland (but really Melbourne!)
Paige is very happy at the spontaneous visit from Mark to sunny Queensland. He explains the reason behind the holiday and his decision about making changes to his life:

MARK: I want to concentrate on being a better policeman, a better brother and a better friend.

That is his rationale for coming to Queensland, that and babies help put things in perspective! Paige is more than happy he is there and gives him a big hug.

Number 32
Okay, turns out that last scene was Paige reminiscing about herself and Mark being in Queensland rather than her actually being there now.

Terese wishes Paige a happy birthday and tells her that she likes them both being in the house because babies put things in perspective... and this particular baby helps remind her of Josh.

Robinsons motel
Steph spots Mannix leaving his room and asks if he's checking out since today is chucking out day for him. He ignores talk of leaving, since it's cool with Leo, as he's about to go for a training session. However, before he goes, he heads back inside to retrieve his bag after Steph mentioned she needed to go into the room for maintenance checks.

Number 26
"Don't give yourself a hard time," Terese tries to reassure Gary with after he's fretting about dropping the ball recently with Xanthe but he plans to rectify that by putting her at the centre of everything he does. Terese is happy to come second for the moment and would be doing the same if she were in his shoes. She asks if he can come with her for a walk, but Gary doesn't want to as Xanthe is due home from her counselling session, so she tells him that is okay, it's nothing that can't wait.

Number 22
Paige is amusing herself watching Tyler and Jack try to figure out how the baby sling works when Terese returns home. She suggests to Paige that they have a birthday party for her. Tyler wonders if the timing is good but Terese has enough enthusiasm that she railroads Paige into agreeing.

Robinsons hotel
Leo is very much surprised to hear from Steph that Mannix hasn't left. He wants to talk to him tonight, but she forces him to deal with it now as Mannix has got 'dodgy' written all over his forehead. Steph sets him a deadline of the end of the day to sort things otherwise she is calling the police.

Lassiters Complex
Both Elly and Mannix are surprised to run into each other in the complex. They catch up briefly with each other and arrange to meet for a drink later after his training session.

Number 22
Jack reassures Paige he is up for babysitting duties and takes the wee man off allowing Terese, Piper, Tyler and Paige to finalise the guest list for the party. They debate on which neighbours to invite (or not in case it offends anyone not being invited) and Paige says she will ask Mark personally when she goes out to get some wipes.

Police station
Mark wishes Paige a happy birthday when she enters the station. She tells him about the party... and when he gets his invite, he has to turn it down. Mark is puzzled by her request and she explains it as it's her birthday and she wants him to respect that.

Queensland
And we head back into dreamland to find out more of what Mark and Paige got up to in Queensland.

It would appear that when they were there, Paige and Gabe stayed with Mark in the house that he rented. He tells Paige that thinking about it, he really didn't have feelings for Sonya, he was simply trying "to recreate a time in my life when I was truly happy." "I get that," she tells him and he seems somewhat surprised, so replies "you do?" before pulling her in for a hug.

The Shed
Leo isn't amused to see Mannix still in town and especially posting his whereabouts online. He tells his friend about Steph seeing his bag full of money and thinks something is going on so wants him out by tonight or the police will be called. Mannix is refusing to leave town because he's got a date with Elly! "She's not a good enough reason to stay," Leo tells his mate but apparently the date is happening after a meeting... a meeting with people you don't postpone meetings with. Mannix isn't listening to Leo trying to warn him and reminds him that "you've got more to lose than me."

MANNIX: All it takes is one call to our mutual friends and your cactus.

Harold's café
Paul tells Terese that he can't manage to the party (he got a text) as he has to work but is then curious with the call she takes about making an appointment.

The Waterhole
Elly eventually listens to Leo when he tries to tell her that Mannix is bad news but it will cost him - a night out! She is curious to know why Mannix is meeting Leo and he replies that "the less you know about him the better."

Robinsons motel
Steph can hear someone heavily breathing in Mannix's room and goes to let herself in (there's no reply to her knocking and calling out). Just as she turns the key, Mannix stops her from opening the door fully. "Get me Leo," he says as he is the only person he will talk to, despite her protestations, and shuts the door in her face.

Number 22
Piper tells Paige that Lauren called to say that Mark left his iPod behind in Queensland and wants to know why she didn't say he visited her there. "Didn't I," Paige feigns as a reply and eventually gives her sister a bit more - Mark just fancied a visit. Piper isn't happy though at being kept out of the loop.

Queensland
And that's cue for us to go back into dreamland and a bit more of what happened in Queensland.

The pair are sitting quietly beside the water and Paige is happy that they are still in each other's lives. Both then declare to the other, "I love you," before Mark leans forward and kisses Paige!!! After a fair few seconds, Paige eventually pulls away and as she walks off, tells Mark that the kiss never happened.

Number 22
Paige is brought out of her daydream by Piper asking which balloon colour she prefers and I don't think the answer Piper wanted to hear was "it never happened," that she muttered. "It doesn't matter," Paige quickly says when Piper asks what she said, so she request Paige to stop vaguing out like she has baby brain.

(Later)

Terese sits on the sofa talking to Clementine.

TERESE: Sometimes I envy you Clementine, sleeping 16 hours a day, no stress. Do you think stress is what caused this? Is it just... long hours, bad genes or just... bad luck? Everything I see and touch and I feel just the thought of it just one day stopping it's hard to get my head around. I guess everybody's got to go one day. But still...

She's brought out of her reverie by Gary coming to drop off a pressie for Paige - Xanthe's counselling session didn't go well so he wants to stay with her rather than come to the party. Terese is happy for him to go home and look after Xanthe, but before he goes, he tells her that he's relieved she is going to be okay. "Yes, me too," Terese replies and Gary tenderly kisses her on the lips before leaving.

Robinsons motel
Leo hurriedly arrives at Mannix's room but it's only him who is getting into the room, not Steph. "Deal with this," is Steph's parting words before she leaves and Leo enters the room.

When he enters the room, Mannix tells him that he's been stabbed! "I think it has something to do with our old friends," is what Mannix thinks after telling Leo how it happened - he was meeting someone when an unknown person came up and stabbed him. He refuses to go to hospital as the police will be called and wants Leo to get David to come attend to him.

Unmissable Neighbours
- David reluctant to help as he knows it's dodgy.
- Steph not happy at Leo.
- Amy urging Jack to be honest with his feelings.
- Jack giving Paige some flowers than having a conversation with her.
