- Toadie thinking he's found a clue where Sonya could be from her past history.
- Finn tampering with Susan's multivitamins.
- Karl revealing that opiates were found in Susan's blood.
- Elly thinking that Finn is behind it.

- Ben worried about Xanthe's obsession with Finn.
- Xanthe calling Finn and asking if she can visit him in his motel room.
There is an update to the titles - the previous shot of Jack and Paige has been updated. Jack is no longer in his priestly clothes and he has a baby harness on the front (containing the baby but we don't see him). Paige stands next to him with her arm round his shoulders. Also the scene is a playground now and not the front of the church.
Robinsons motel, Finn's room
Finn quickly pulls on a t-shirt before letting a teary Xanthe into his room. "It's so unfair," she says and eventually finishes the sentence by adding that why can't the others see Finn like she does and why are they so against him. Finn asks her to start at the beginning.

Karl is going through all the meds they have in the house trying to identify if the one Susan took is amongst them but none are a match.
Ben and Elly come home with cake for Susan's return - she's coming home tomorrow and Karl laws down the law to the pair of them so that Susan isn't stressed. Both agree to behave to help Susan although Elly and Karl are at loggerheads over whether to tell her or not about the suspension (Elly yes, Karl no).
Robinsons motel, Finn's room
Xanthe moans about how Ben talked to her and that he wouldn't believe anything she told him (about Finn) and instead informs him that Ben and Elly are now a team. She also mentions that Ben's been asking questions at school too because he thinks Finn is after Susan and Elly.
FINN: Well they're his family, we can't blame him for wanting to protect them.
XANTHE: How do you stay so understanding, even when everyone is out to get you? Even when its Elly?
FINN: This is just what happens when you try to improve things. People panic, they believe lies, they cling onto the past.
XANTHE: And you're not put off by that?
FINN: To grow we have to be brave and weather the storms, which is easier said than done of course, but ultimately worth it for students like you.
Xanthe replies that she already feels a better student thanks to him, which he is happy to hear as "that's the whole point of it." He then changes tack by commenting that he likes seeing Xanthe wearing the locket that he gave her for her birthday and now with a smile on her face, says it's time for her to go home. "Thanks for listening," she tells him before leaving his unit.

Steph rushes over for an update on the hunt for Sonya. Toadie has got an address for Daz and plans on going there to bring Sonya home. "How?" Steph asks and he admits he's not thought about that but will work it out. Steph tries to say that she might not want to come home.
TOADIE: Well then I'll put her on my shoulder and drag her home, whatever it takes.
STEPH: But you do realise that you can't force someone to recover from an addiction, right?
TOADIE: Yes, but what do you want me to do? Just sit around here and wait while she's out there forever?
STEPH: I just want you to be prepared for the possibility that it might not work.
TOADIE: Steph, I have to do something.
She gets that and offers to go with him, but he'd rather do this on his own.

Gary comments to his mum that all this walking she is doing will be keeping her fit and in turn, she confesses to him that the only reason she goes out walking with Dipi is for the gossip!
SHEILA: Five minutes with that woman and I am totally up to date!
GARY: And here I was thinking you were on some sort of health kick!
SHEILA: I am killing two birds with one stone!
Xanthe returns home as she's forgotten some books for the library. Ben appears, so Sheila asks how Susan is. He replies that she is good and is getting home but rejects Sheila's suggestion that it was the MS, instead replying that they don't yet know what it was down to, they are awaiting more test results. Sheila (and Gary) ask that he passes on their love to his Grandma.
Ben finally get a chance to say why he's round, to walk Xanthe to school, but she rejects his offer as she needs to focus and get on with things!
Melbourne somewhere
Toadie appears at what is presumably Daz's abode (a caravan) and can immediately see that there are lots of empty bottles lying around the place. He gets out of his car and after getting no reply to knocking on the door, opens it and steps inside. In amongst the empties, he picks up a t-shirt that he recognises as belonging to Sonya.
Number 26
Gary is surprised to see Xanthe sitting at the table given she told Ben she was heading to the library. Xanthe quickly hides Finn's locket before Gary sits down beside her and opens up to him about her feelings for Ben - she isn't sure if she is still in love with him anymore and fells like she can't talk to him either. Gary reminds her that Ben is a top bloke but he wants her to be happy.
GARY: Change is part of life, it happens.
XANTHE: In order to grow we have to be brave and weather storms.
GARY: Right... I guess that's what I'm trying to say! I mean it might sound dumb but the best advice I can give you is to follow your heart. It usually knows what's what.
Melbourne somewhere
Toadie sits and waits and finally hears voices, including that of his wife. "What are you doing here?" she greets him with.
TOADIE: I've come to take you home.
DAZ: Who's this?
TOADIE: I'm her husband.
SONYA: It's my ex-husband.
Toadie tries to drag Sonya away to get her home but she makes it clear she isn't coming home and Daz intervenes to make sure Toadie gets the message.
SONYA: You just look after Nell alright and look after yourself and just don't even contact me again.
School
Finn spots Ben sitting on one of the benches in the playground and praises him for some good marks in a recent assessment. Ben isn't exactly welcoming the small talk from Finn especially when he tries to suggest a charity walk for the MS fundraiser.
Finn then spots Donald Cheung and informs him that the vertical integrated teaching programme is commencing today and is told to improvise when he protests that lesson plans need to be done.
Ben of course has overheard their conversation and is texting Elly an update when he spots Xanthe. He waves to her but she doesn't wave back and walks away in a different direction to avoid him.
Melbourne somewhere
Sonya is surprised to see Toadie outside the caravan when she exits it. "I want you to come home," he tells her but that's not what she wants.
TOADIE: I thought you wanted to get better? What about what you said, about going to rehab, about healing yourself. Was all that just a lie?
(Sonya shakes her head)
TOADIE: Right well then, I'm confused. Why didn't you go?
SONYA: I did go and then I was there and I saw the building and I just couldn't help thinking well look here I am again.
TOADIE: There's no shame in that.
SONYA: It wasn't the first time. I mean then honestly, I could just blame it on my situation and know I was a victim to it all but this time, I mean I had everything. I had Nell had Callum, I had an amazing job, I had a beautiful home, I had you and I just went and threw it all away.
TOADIE: We both played our part.
SONYA: No see I wanted a baby. I wanted one and I pushed you into it and I pushed you to Dee. Why did I do that? Why, that's because it's all I do, I destroy things.
TOADIE: No, no it's not that simple.
SONYA: And I almost killed two people.
TOADIE: Please, think of Nell. You can be there for her.
SONYA: I'm going to jail.
"Not necessarily," Toadie replies and reassures her that he will be working on her case but she informs him that she doesn't want him to represent her.
SONYA: I want to get what I deserve, I need to be punished and then they're going to lock me up. And that's why so I've done this to speed up the process for you and Nell so you can just, you can get used to life without me okay.
TOADIE: No! No, I can't, I won't.
SONYA: You don't have a choice Jarrod.
Sonya then turns and goes back inside the caravan.
School
Donald tries to tell Finn that his vertical integrated teaching plan didn't work as the staff weren't prepared but he isn't interested in listening, instead wanting it to be known that the staff need to work harder! Finn does have one fan of the new teaching method though - Xanthe and she thinks everyone will be on board like her soon enough.
Number 28
Susan is back from hospital and still hasn't any idea how the opiates got into her system. To ensure she rests, Karl bans her from thinking about work for at least the next 24 hours!
Number 30
Toadie gives Steph and Mark an update on his meeting with Sonya.
TOADIE: She feels that the whole baby idea was her fault, like she railroaded all of us into it.
"That's just not true," Mark replies and Steph agrees adding that everyone played a part. Toad explains that's how she is thinking and that she's given up on her defence, and letting him represent her too because she is convinced she is going to jail. Toad also wishes he hadn't gone alone to see her.
TOADIE: I'm a symbol of everything that went wrong. I have to do something but I don't know what to do though.
Toadie thinks Steph should go and while she is happy to do that, she fears that she won't get through to her either. He then suggests that both Mark and Steph go.
TOADIE: Please come on, we can't just give up on her.
STEPH: No, no, we're not going to do that.
Steph thinks that they will only have one shot so have to prepare for it. Mark thinks they start slow to earn her trust but Toadie replies that there is no time for that.
STEPH: I hear you but it's about helping Sonya decide to help herself.
TOADIE: No, no once you see how she's living, you will realise that it's much bigger than that. This is about saving her.
School
Xanthe catches up with Ben as he is about to head home to say that she thinks they need to break up. Ben isn't sure if she is serious or not.
XANTHE: Ben, it hasn't been the same between us for ages.
He is totally oblivious as to what she is referring to and she replies, "you can feel it, I know you can." Ben asks if there is someone else (no) and then if it's got anything to do with him asking questions about Finn. While it isn't directly that, according to her it's just one of the things they don't see eye to eye on and doesn't think they could meet in the middle either because they are both taking separate paths.
XANTHE: I'm becoming this whole other person Ben, I'm growing up and you're just... you're so different from me.
With tears in his eyes, Ben listens as Xanthe confirms that she doesn't love him and then she returns to him the gift that she got for her birthday.
Melbourne somewhere
Sonya tries to tell Mark and Steph that she is "toxic" and that they shouldn't have come. "We want to help you," Steph pleads and Mark adds in that they want to take her home.
SONYA: I mean look what I've done to the two of you, you hid evidence because of me, evidence that shows how dangerous I am. That... Well its fine because the court will soon make sure that I can't hurt anyone anymore.
Mark tries to tell her she might not be sent down if she lets Toadie help her. "Don't you get it, I don't want any help," she informs them.
SONYA: I want to suffer for what I did. I mean I made you guys have a baby that you didn't even want because deep down that's what I wanted. I wanted that baby, I didn't care who got hurt in the process.
STEPH: No, no Sonn, we were all in that together.
MARK: You've got to stop re-writing the past. Caitlin was created out of love, you know that.
SONYA: And yet she died and... because I had an amnio. And now I will have to live with what I did to that little baby and what I've done to all you guys.
STEPH: No Sonn, you wanted to help us.
Sonya then tries to tell them that they've got a chance to be happy and wants them to look after Nell and Toadie.
SONYA: Look after each other, I just can't be part of your lives anymore.
Sonya then goes back into the caravan and closes the door on them.
Number 32
Steph comes over to the house to update Toadie.
STEPH: She is just so much worse than I ever imagined, she's just so full of self-hate.
TOADIE: I'll go back, I'll make her listen.
STEPH: Toad you can't, you just have to accept that you can't force her.
TOADIE: So what I do nothing? Really?!
STEPH: At least you know where she is and now she knows that you're here. Toad, maybe that just has to be enough for now. Maybe once she hits rock bottom then she'll be ready to listen to you.
TOADIE: This isn't rock bottom.
Toadie gets out his phone and calls someone and explains that he didn't really want to make the call but he really needs their help.
Number 28
Elly is sorry to hear about Xanthe breaking things off and asks if there is a reason. Ben replies it's because she thought they were "different people," but doesn't know what it's in reference to. Elly wonders if it's anything to do with the fight they had about Finn and he explains that she dodged any questions about him.
ELLY: Finn always had this way of making me feel like he was the only one who understood me. As a result, I pushed all my friends away. I'm scared that's what Xanthe is doing.
BEN: She can do what she likes, I don't care.
Elly wants to tell him something on condition he keeps it quiet from his grandparents, which he agrees to.
ELLY: I didn't want to tell you this but if he's isolating her, she is in real danger.
BEN: What do you mean?
ELLY: I don't believe it was MS that make your grandmother sick, I believe she was poisoned by Finn.
Harold's Cafe
Xanthe isn't happy to see Ben when he enters the café, she thought he'd already have got the message.
BEN: This is not about us, it's about Mr Kelly.
That name gets her attention! He continues by saying he wants her to have all the facts and tells her that Finn might have drugged Susan.
XANTHE: No! No, you're being crazy. Is this Elly again?
BEN: Xanthe, her blood test came back with some pretty serious painkillers in them which she doesn't remember taking, so how else could they have gotten in there?
(Xanthe shrugs her shoulders)
BEN: I just want you to have all the information, so you know, what you do with it is up to you.
