Lassiters Complex
Steph and Nell are waiting outside the station when Mark comes out and checks whether Steph if she's ready for Toadie to ask her. Her reply is that she's glad he knows everything... "well, almost."

STEPH: Now we've just got to stick together and support her.

Nell spots her parents coming out of the station and can't run to her mum quick enough. Sonya asks Toadie to take Nell for a couple of hours so that she (accompanied by Steph) can go apologise in person to Piper and David. Mark thinks it's a good idea for Steph to accompany Sonya before he heads back into the station.

Sonya is relived that neither Mark and Steph have been implicated (she kept quiet during the police interview) and can't believe the risk they took.

STEPH: I've been there Sonn, been to jail, lost everything and I don't want to see that happen to you.
SONYA: Thank you, you're a good friend.
STEPH: I'm here for you, all the way.

Number 30/22
As we cut between the two houses, Amy, David, Leo (in #30) and Tyler and Piper (in #22) can't believe that it was Sonya who was responsible for what happened at the backpackers. She apologises to them both and Leo remarks that won't help his brother recover. Amy is furious too at the damage its cost her in lost business. Piper suggests that Sonya should also be in rehab because even when her mum was at her worst, she wasn't stupid enough to drink and drive. Leo isn't interested in sympathy, he wants her to pay as he has cost her money.

SONYA: I'm horrified by the choices that I have made.

Lassiters Complex/Sydney
Susan calls her niece to see if she's found anything out about Finn. The only thing Elly has found is glowing compliments from his old work colleagues however she's still got someone she wants to see although isn't looking forward to it.

From the other side of the complex, Finn watched on as Susan took a couple of pills from her multivitamin bottle, before going over to chat (now she's finished her call to Elly). He tries to persuade her to join him for a coffee so they can discuss a work related matter but she turns him down as she has other plans.

Number 24
Jack arrives at the house while Paige is doing some exercises to get bubs to turn around naturally. He's thrilled too when Paige then mentions that she wants him involved in the skin bonding after bubs is born. Jack however isn't too keen on accompanying her to the shack where bubs was conceived in case it stirs things up despite getting the need as to why Paige wants to go back there - she feels she needs to go back there one more time as the whole day was somewhat surreal.

Ramsay Street
"You can't let him get to you," Karl tells his wife as she comes home now in a bad mood after speaking to Finn. He suggests a trip to the National Gallery of Victoria when he gets back from work to see if viewing the Van Gough exhibition will sort her out.

Paige comes over looking for Elly as she is after a lift and looks disappointed to hear that Elly has she's gone away. Susan agrees to drive her, pleased at the welcome diversion, as she has time before meeting Karl later.

Sydney
Elly arrives at a venue and spots a woman called Miranda sitting by the window and as she goes over to talk to her, she's greeted with a slap round the face!

MIRANDA: That's for sleeping with my husband.

Commercial break later and Elly tries to explain she didn't know Finn was married when they got together and continued the relationship with him as he said he loved her and that his marriage was over.

MIRANDA: And you believed him?
ELLY: Until he tried to sabotage my career, yes, I did.

Elly does apologies but adds that Finn lied to them both. Miranda wants to know what Elly is after and she replies to stop Finn from hurting anyone else. "You have to hear me out," Elly pleads.

Number 32
Toadie has told the family, well Shane, Mishti and Yashvi, that Sonya was the one responsible. Mishti can't believe it's taken her so long to confess. "It's coming back to her in bits and pieces," Toadie tries to explain to them all because Sonya was so heavily intoxicated and rejects Mishti's thinking that she knew all along but just kept quiet. Shane asks what happens now and Toadie replies that she is out of bail and the hearing is in a month's time.

Sydney
Finn was "cagey about a lot of things," is Miranda's response to Elly asking if she knew about Finn's plan to sabotage a colleague. Miranda does say though that Finn changed about a year or so ago.

Number 32
"A mixed bag of reactions," is how Steph tells Toadie about how Sonya's apologies went after coming over to collect Nell because Sonya is feeling low at home.

STEPH: I'm not sure everyone has fully forgiven her.

Toadie manages to get Nell out of the room looking for a doll so he can speak openly to Steph. He wants to know how long she's suspected Sonya was involved in the accident. "Are we really doing this?!" she asks and Toadie replies yes, because he's owed answers.

TOADIE: You're meant to be my best friend. You knew about Sonya relapsing, you knew about her drinking and her gambling but yet you colluded with Mark of all people to keep me in the dark. Why didn't you tell me?!
STEPH: Because I just... I didn't want Sonya to be seen as an unfit mother and then risk losing Nelly, I... Fat lot of good that did!
TOADIE: I don't want to take Nell away from her! I want us to be a family more than anything.
STEPH: I know. I know.
TOADIE: When Sonya was getting charged in there, all I wanted to do was just hold her and just tell her that everything's going to be okay but I couldn't do that because this whole thing is my fault. I don't know what to do, 'cos I bring up the idea of getting back together again, she won't hear it of course.

Steph thinks he should try again because this whole thing has been a wake-up call for Sonya.

STEPH: She might be finally ready to consider it Toad, just... You've got nothing to lose

Sydney
Miranda explains that almost overnight, Finn went from being affectionate to not. Elly mentions the health scare Finn was supposed to have got, which surprises Miranda as she explains that should mean someone taking care of themselves whereas Finn did the exact opposite - he didn't eat or sleep, was out all the time and also that his personality changed by becoming withdrawn and nasty. Elly wonders if he was having another affair and Miranda admits, that was the first thing she thought of but other things led her to dismiss that thought.

MIRANDA: This was like he was on something, and whatever it was, it made him go completely inside of himself. By the time I kicked him out, we barely spoke a word to one another.

Elly wonders if it was drugs but Miranda isn't sure although thinks whatever it was, was big.

MIRANDA: Because even him falling in love with you wasn't enough to break us.
ELLY: I wouldn't call what we had love.
MIRANDA: You don't need to do that for my benefit, it doesn't matter to me anymore.

Miranda leaves as she has to head back to work and Elly thanks her for her time, before calling Susan to say she may have something they can fight Finn back with.

Number 26
Leo, David, Amy and Jack are having a mini-summit to discuss Sonya's admission. Jack suggests reaching out to her with information on the church's substance abuse programme until Amy points out she already goes to AA and GA. David questions if Leo is serious about taking out a civil case and he will unless they can come to an arrangement about damages. Their chat is interrupted when Mark arrives to tell them that Sonya has been charged, but Leo says she told them herself.

MARK: I just hope you can find it in your hearts to forgive Sonya. I know you were hurt, but it was an accident.
LEO: Yeah, a pretty big one!
MARK: Yes, I know, but she was honest and courageous enough to admit it and I think it would really help her if she didn't feel like the world was against her.

Number 30
Toadie is round to see Sonya and begins by saying that he wants her to come back to him.

TOADIE: I love you. I love you so much and I want to spend the rest of my life proving that to you. And if you're not sure if you can love me back, that's fine, I'll take whatever I can get, I've got enough love for the both of us. Can we just please put the last six months behind us? You can work on forgiving me, forgiving yourself.
SONYA: I've destroyed lives Jarrod.
TOADIE: Only because your own is in freefall and that's because of what I've done with Andrea.
SONYA: I never said this to you before but I've been thinking about it a lot and um, I'm sorry that I railroaded you into the surrogacy. I wanted a baby. And I wasn't honest with you, or myself, or anyone. It drove you away.

With tears in his eyes, Toadie thanks her but adds that it doesn't excuse what he's done.

SONYA: No it doesn't, but I just wanted to take responsibility for my part in it. I thought you should know that.
TOADIE: Does this mean that you think that we can give it another go?
SONYA: I don't know. Umm, so much has changed, not just with you and me, but with our friends and our neighbours and I just don't know if we can go back.

Toadie moves from where he's been sitting to the sofa to be with Sonya.

TOADIE: Well then, we don't go back, we just go forward. We'll move away from here, we'll get new jobs.
SONYA: What, we're just going to leave Erinsborough? Our lives are here.
TOADIE: No, my life's with you.
SONYA: My life is Nell. That's why I need you to look after her okay, while I go to rehab. Until you can agree to that, then we can't even think about moving forward okay.

Toadie tells her he is proud of her making this decision.

SONYA: Just look after our little girl okay.
TOADIE: I will.

With a smile on his face, Toadie hugs his wife and its warmly returned.

Bush
Susan drives Piper and Paige towards where the balloon crash occurred. Piper is going on about Sonya and how the accident has affected her and Susan asks that she finds some empathy because "we all make mistakes,"

SUSAN: Remember the school fire?
PIPER: Yes, the ghost of delinquent past coming back to haunt me.

Paige gets out of the car, ready for the 10 minute walk to where the shack should be. She would rather go alone, so tells them that she'll be 30 minutes max.

Ramsay Street/Number 30/Number 26
Music montage time and as 'Call back home' plays, Mark and Tyler watch on from the balcony of #24, Steph from inside #30, and Amy, David and Leo from #26 as Toadie accompanies his wife to the waiting taxi for her to go away to rehab.

Bush
And the music continues as Paige makes the walk to where the shack is. She eventually reaches it and enters the building and slowly sits down and touches the blanket that is surprisingly still there, while stroking the growing baby inside of her.

Back at the car, Piper brings up the operation Karl did and that Ben still talks about it. However, she stops talking when she notices that Susan looks a bit unsteady on her feet. "I just feel really woozy," Susan admits and Piper suggests she has some water before jokingly asking if she knows what is going on!

SUSAN: I don't know. If it gets any worse, I might not be able to drive.
PIPER: That's okay, Paige can drive.

Or maybe not because back in the shack when Paige stands up, her waters break and she starts having contractions!
