Robinson's Motel
Mark knocks at the door of Dee's room and demands that Steph unlocks it. Steph is initially hesitant but eventually, agrees as she notes that the motel has had a few laptops go missing recently. Dee springs Steph in the process and is quick to insist that there's no one in her room. She invites them inside and proves that the room is empty. Dee thanks Steph and Mark for their concern, but the moment that they leave she heads to the bathroom door and speaks to someone inside.
DEE: I thought I told you to keep it down! Come on.
No. 30
Sonya explains to Toadie that Dee couldn't make it to lunch. He thanks Sonya for all of her support and promises that things will go back to normal soon. Sonya expresses her concern that the DNA results may come back negative, but Toadie asks that they avoid speaking about both Dee and the surrogacy.
Erinsborough High
Amy quizzes Jimmy about how his first day went, although his responses are fairly monosyllabic and he insists everything was fine. Xanthe is handing out leaflets for another dodgeball match, and she banters with Ben about who will win. Elly interrupts them and reminds Ben that he has to be somewhere. Xanthe and Ben give each their best cowboy standoff glares as they exchange final insults.
XANTHE: Hey! Ball. Face. Soon!
The Waterhole
Elly has now joined Susan for a glass of wine, and Susan expresses her concerns to Sheila that the dodgeball rivalry between Xanthe and Ben has gone too far. Sheila agrees to join Susan at the match in order to supervise the pair and says she'll bring oranges. Sheila spots Steph at the bar and returns Victoria's jacket that was left in the bar from the previous night. Mark receives a phone call and sounds incredulous at what he's been told.
No. 30
Mark arrives and delivers the news that Dee's DNA results confirm her identity. Sonya suggests that Toadie phones his parents, and he explains that he was holding off telling them until he knew for sure. Mark also explains that he's contacted Emily, who has confirmed all of Dee's story. Sonya seems overwhelmed by the news and announces that she needs to go for a walk alone. Toadie asks Mark to make sure that Sonya's okay.
Rec Centre
The dodgeball match is in full swing. Sheila shouts slurs at Ben and cheering on Xanthe from the sidelines. She starts screaming at Amy, who is refereeing the game, and Susan tells her to calm down. Sheila shoots back that Susan only pretends to be fair and impartial when it suits her. Amy calls half-time and Sheila dishes out the oranges.
Robinson's Motel
Dee announces the news to Steph that her DNA results came back positive. She begins to express her concerns that her return has upset Toadie and Sonya's marriage.
DEE: You know what it's like. When Toadie's happy, it's contagious. It makes everyone's life that little bit better. It's why I married him.
Dee suggests that she should leave, but Steph insists that she should stay and admits that Sonya and Toadie already had problems before she arrived.
Yarra River
Sonya and Mark take a stroll down the bank of the river, and Sonya opens up about her worries about Dee's return.
SONYA: I guess I wanted these results to be negative, and I know how selfish I am for that.
MARK: No, it isn't. Look, Toadie moved on from Dee years ago.
SONYA: Did he? How could he? He never had the chance to. Are you telling me that if Kate turned up now that you wouldn't have any feelings for her?
MARK: Toadie loves you.
SONYA: Yes, and he loved her too, Mark. It never stopped, it just got taken away.
Mark gives Sonya a big hug.
Back of Harold's
Steph confesses to Lauren about her kiss with Victoria, and Lauren despairs about how she can keep letting these things happen. Lauren suggests that Mark isn't giving Steph everything she needs. Steph insists that she loves Mark, but admits that sometimes she finds herself wanting Victoria as well.
LAUREN: Is it Victoria that you want? Really? Or is it something else.
STEPH: What do you mean?
LAUREN: Could this be your heart's way of getting out of the relationship, because you're having doubts about the surrogacy thing?
Steph doesn't deny Lauren's suggestion, and Lauren insists that she has to tell Mark how she's feeling.
Rec Centre
The match is back in action and it's down to just Xanthe against Ben. They throw a few balls but continue to miss one another.
SHEILA: Suck on that Ben!
AMY: SHEILA!
SHEILA: What?
Xanthe launches a ball, but Ben dives and manages to catch it. Amy announces that Ben's team has won, but Sheila marches in claiming that Ben dropped the ball. Amy sticks by her decision so Sheila begins to accuse Ben of cheating and starts hurling insults. Susan is outraged. Ben winks at Sheila which tips her over the edge, and she starts to hurl orange segments at him! Amy blows her whistle and escorts Sheila out of the building whilst she screams 'justice for Xanthe!'.
Yarra River
Sonya and Mark have settled on the riverbank. Mark expresses his concerns about Steph and Victoria, as she returns home the previous night in a strange mood. Sonya stops him in his tracks and insists that Victoria was simply counselling Steph, and praises Steph for trying to deal with any anxieties herself.
MARK: You really think so?
SONYA: I do. And this is coming from the queen of paranoia!
Robinson's Motel
Dee enters her room mid-phone call to someone saying that it's been a 'close call' and that the positive DNA test has helped. She calls out to the person in the bathroom to come out and looks at a photograph of herself and Toadie on their wedding day.
No. 30
Sonya returns home and Toadie says that Angie will need some time to come around to the idea of Dee being alive. Sonya seems subdued and comments that Dee will be happy that she can claim her inheritance. Toadie suggests that he should check in with Dee as he hasn't spoken with her since the results of the test. He kisses Sonya and reminds her that he loves her.
Rec Centre
Outside the centre, Amy invites Jimmy for a milkshake at Harold's, but he says that he has plans with some friends from school.
JIMMY: Um, I think you should do something for yourself. I mean, you've had to look after me, so you've had to miss out on a lot. Now I'm in High School, maybe you can do more of the things that you want?
AMY: Oh, I love looking after you.
JIMMY: I know, and you're an awesome mum, and I will always need you. It's just, maybe not as much.
Amy nods and looks sad as Jimmy leaves. Xanthe and Ben catch up about Piper, and Xanthe says that she thinks her and Tyler's escape to the backpackers is very romantic. She asks Ben if he really did catch the ball during the match, but he just smiles and doesn't say anything.
Ramsay Street
Susan is watering her plants with the garden hose when Sheila trots over and asks her to sign a petition allowing her to re-enter the Rec Centre after being banned.
SUSAN: You attacked Ben with oranges.
SHEILA: Well he was playing unfairly!
SUSAN: If you had been more mature about it Sheila, you mightn't be looking at this ban.
SHEILA: Oh, I get it. You're on their side!
SUSAN: I'm not on anyone's side!
SHEILA: I thought you social justice warriors stood up for anything that's right, but of course now that it's a Kennedy prince, the rules go out the window! He was a cheat and everybody saw it!
SUSAN: Sheila, you need to calm down.
SHEILA: You should be used to it by now, because from what I hear, all Kennedy men are cheats!
Susan's mouth drops and she squirts Sheila square in the face with the hose! Sheila grabs a fistful of mud and hurls it at Susan's white jacket, and a full fight ensues on the lawn!
No. 24 Pool
Mark asks Steph why she needs counselling and she admits that she's having issues with the surrogacy as it'll always come down to him and Sonya being the baby's parents.
MARK: This is our baby.
STEPH: Yeah, but it's not really, though, is it? And I've had trouble with this from the start, you know that.
MARK: Yeah, but you've been working through it.
STEPH: I've been trying really hard to but this whole situation is so fragile.
Steph eventually confesses that Victoria kissed her the previous night and insists that nothing happened on her behalf. Steph tries to defend herself, but Mark points out that a similar thing happened with Belinda.
MARK: So you didn't give her any idea that you might be up for it?
STEPH: ... I love you, Mark.
MARK: You did! You told me that you hadn't been attracted to any other woman since Belinda.
STEPH: That's true, that's true!
MARK: But you're attracted to Victoria? Answer me Steph.
STEPH: Yes, but you're the one I love Mark. You're the one that I want to be with!
Steph calls after Mark who gets up and heads inside.
Robinson's Motel
Toadie knocks at the door of Dee's room and lets himself in. He sees a young girl and apologises that he's entered the wrong room when Dee appears from the bathroom.
DEE: What are you doing here?
TOADIE: ...who's this?
DEE: Uh... this is Willow. This is your daughter.
Dee pulls Willow towards her and starts grooming her hair as Toadie's jaw hits the ground!
