Road in West Warratah
Aaron is jogging and sees Angus and Piper asleep in the car. He knocks on the window. Piper winds down the window and greets Aaron. Aaron asks what they're doing here. Piper explains they were here for the fireworks last night and they fell asleep. Aaron tells them to get in the back seat and he's driving them home. Piper tries to protest but Aaron tells her he's not letting her drive. He'll give them a few minutes to wake up! Aaron looks at them and then walks off.

Cue titles!

Ramsay Street
Aaron drives into the street. Piper requests that they pull up before the house and she and Angus get out. Aaron hints what would have happened if the cops had pulled Angus and Piper over. Piper promises she won't drive unsupervised again. Aaron heads off.

ANGUS: That was the most awkward car ride.

Piper agrees. She knows Aaron won't tell Terese and that's all that matters. Angus suggests the possibility of Aaron telling Tyler. Piper reminds Angus they're two people whom fell asleep in a car. Angus reminds Piper that Aaron knew that there was more than that. Piper doesn't care and checks that Angus is fine with it being a one off, Angus agrees. Piper agrees they're still friends and Angus won't go weird on her. Angus is fine with that and heads off. Piper texts Xanthe to tell her if Terese asks Piper stayed there the night before.

No.26
Jimmy, Xanthe, Gary, Sheila and Amy are sitting around the table. Sheila states that Brooke abandoned Xanthe and sent her here to fend for herself. Brooke has been off the grid for a few months without phoning. Thanks to a half-sister Jessie Sheila doesn't know anything about Brooke is now on her way here. Sheila is convinced disaster is written all over the situation. Amy wants to know why Xanthe hasn't told them about Jessie before. Xanthe explains that she was trying to convince herself that Jessie didn't exist. Jimmy asks if they have different fathers.

GARY: Xanthe was only little when Brooke met Jessie's old man. He was already married so they had to come to an arrangement. So they decided that Jessie would live with her father and his wife in Perth.

Jimmy wants to know why Xanthe hates Jessie so much. Xanthe explains that Jessie did something horrible by calling the TV station about Brooke. Amy asks why that happened. Xanthe explains that Jessie is jealous and doesn't like it that Xanthe and Brooke are really close. Sheila points out that Brooke's behaviour isn't Jessie's responsibility. Xanthe is aware that Brooke has done horrible things but she is still Xanthe's Mum. Sheila doesn't know what to do if Brooke doesn't have a decent explanation for what she's been up to. Xanthe asks Sheila to stop. Brooke's on her way and Xanthe wants to hear her side of the story.

Angus comes out of the bedroom and hopes he isn't too late for breakfast. Susan wondered if he was going to wake up! Angus comments he needed to sleep in as he nicks some of Ben's toast. Elly offers to put on more toast and eggs. Ben asks where Angus was last night. Angus says he was with friends, Ben doesn't know them. Angus tells Ben to drop it. Angus goes over to the kitchen for orange juice and Elly asks how he likes his eggs, he wants them scrambled. Angus wants to know why Elly's being so nice. Elly apologises for what she said at school, Piper gets on her nerves. Elly asks him to put it behind them, Angus nods.

No.22 Backyard
Terese comes out to where Piper is sitting at the table, staring into space. Terese has just spoken to the hospital, there is no improvement with Brad. Piper agrees to go to see him later. Terese asks what Piper and Xanthe did last night. Piper said it was the usual. Terese says she knows (Piper is surprised) that Brooke is coming. Piper suddenly starts nodding along! The family are hardly keeping it a secret.

TERESE: I know exactly what she's going to be like. Gold Coast glamour, big hair, fancy jewellery, perfect tan.

Piper jokes that Terese is stereotyping! Piper wants to know how Terese found out about this. Terese explains she was at the Cannings when Xanthe heard the news. Piper is surprised that Terese went there last night. Terese covers by saying it was work stuff with Gary. They didn't disturb anyone as they were out the back. Terese changes the subject by talking about the hush hush about Jessie. Piper agrees that it's huge.

Xanthe receives a text from Piper about Brooke and Jessie, asking Xanthe to call Piper. There's a knock at the door and Gary offers for Xanthe to open it. Xanthe agrees but continues to sit there. Gary goes to answer the door to Brooke.

BROOKE: Look at you. You haven't changed a bit.

Gary agrees that Brooke hasn't either and invites her in. Brooke exclaims over Xanthe as Gary introduces Amy, and Jimmy. Amy heads off with Jimmy. Gary introduces Brooke to Sheila who frostily greets Brooke. Brooke says they've got a lot of catching up to do as Xanthe asks where she's been.

They're now sitting on the sofas. Brooke explains the story on the TV was unfair, Brooke couldn't have looked worse. Brooke wasn't even talking about the lighting! Sheila wryly says Brooke didn't scam the men out of their money, it was a beatup. Brooke claims the money was offered by the men, that was the way they pitched it at the time. Brooke reminds Xanthe she has horrible luck with men. Sheila reminds Brooke that Gary is sitting there! Xanthe reminds Brooke that she thought Brooke would be away for a few weeks, coming to Erinsborough for a holiday. Brooke never contacted Xanthe, it's been months instead of weeks. Brooke wanted to contact Xanthe but she couldn't. She thought the men would come after Xanthe as well. Gary realises the men were dangerous and Brooke explains it wasn't safe to phone or e-mail until she'd sorted out the mess. The sorting out took longer than Brooke had planned but everything is good now. Xanthe asks how Jessie became involved. Brooke explains that they've sorted out their differences. Xanthe looks horrified as she realises Brooke has been in Perth all this time. Xanthe has been missing Brooke as she's been with Jessie. Brooke tries to explain. Xanthe thought Brooke would make everything better but it's now worse! Xanthe heads off and Brooke tries to follow her. Sheila stops her and Brooke reminds Sheila she's the mother. Sheila reminds Brooke that a mother wouldn't behave in the same way as Brooke has. Gary says Sheila's name, reminding her to stop there.

Fitzgerald Motors
Aaron arrives and asks what Tyler is reading. Tyler is reading a card which reads:

Tyler claims it's nothing. Aaron points out Tyler's looking serious. Tyler admits it's a card for Piper. Aaron checks if they're just friends which Tyler agrees with. He still thinks about her though. Piper's going through a lot and is also feeling alone. Aaron isn't so sure! Tyler asks what he means and Aaron rambles about his smoothie! Tyler asks for the truth. Aaron claims it's a normal chat, sometimes it makes sense. Aaron admits he caught Angus and Piper in Hermione having been there together the whole night.

Brooke pleads with Gary that it has just been her and Xanthe for a long time now. Brooke says she had no choice but to get over her head. Brooke points out when it suited Gary he flitted in and out of Xanthe's life. He lied to them about where the money was coming from. If Brooke had known Gary was in jail she wouldn't have sent Xanthe here. Gary admits he misled Brooke. Brooke knows Gary loves Xanthe, that's why he did it. Gary didn't want Xanthe to know the strife he was under. Gary has been in the same boat. Brooke thought it was safer for Xanthe so she stayed away. Gary agrees the same thing happened with him and Kyle. Brooke reminds him he's sorted things out with Kyle and Sheila. Brooke asks for the same chance with Xanthe and wants Gary to speak to Xanthe, also explain Brooke's point of view.

Lassiter's Lake
Amy is on a chair fixing a part of the rotunda with a drill when Leo arrives. He comments that she would have found someone else to do this now she has newly found riches. Amy points out the money won't set her up for life!

AMY: It's called maintenance it's what us peasants are forced to do.

Leo wants her to tell him about it on their date tonight. Amy comments he never gives up! Leo points out it's a huge compliment that he hasn't given up. Amy agrees and asks what time she's being picked up. Leo agrees to seven and tells her to wear something fancy. It will be an amazing night. Amy agrees to put on a clean pair of jeans! Leo tells her that won't do for what's planned.

Harold's Café (Outside)
Ben comes out to a table he's sharing with Angus with two Cokes. Ben wants to get started on the set list. He arrives Angus that there shouldn't be keyboard heavy songs as Xanthe's just started. They agree on Angus's tragic love song.

BEN: What's it called? 'The Ballad of Mrs Conway'?

Angus doesn't respond and Ben asks what really happened last night. Angus admits he did something he shouldn't have done and he's ruined any chance with Elly. Angus admits he slept with someone but doesn't reveal it was Piper. Angus admits it was wrong, it was messed up and a huge, huge mistake.

Piper is looking at pictures of Tyler on her phone.

Fitzgerald Motors
Tyler looks at the card then crumples it into a ball.

Elly is sitting on the sofa as Angus arrives home. She heads into her bedroom. Elly's book is on the table, 'Tiger Men' by Judy Nunn. Angus takes the bookmark out and looks at it.

No.26 Backyard
Gary is telling Xanthe that is the reason why Xanthe should give Brooke another chance. Sheila disagrees. Gary reminds Sheila that this is Xanthe's decision and wants to know what Xanthe thinks.

Xanthe comes in to talk to Brooke whilst Sheila and Gary wait in the kitchen. Xanthe tells Brooke Gary has told her what Brooke said to him. That hasn't made up for Brooke missing out on a year of Xanthe's life. Xanthe needed Brooke many times. Brooke says it killed her that she couldn't be there for Xanthe but she knew Xanthe was ok here. Brooke explains she's glittergirl43. Xanthe is surprised that Brooke follows her on Instagram and points out that glittergirl always stuck up for her. Brooke agrees that a mother should do that. Brooke wanted to reach through the screen and smash a few heads in when Xanthe was getting trolled. Xanthe agrees that Brooke did it instead with words.

XANTHE: That flame war you had with jaybuzz21 was pretty epic.

Brooke explains she couldn't do much. Brooke flew over to see Xanthe when she was posting photos from the Gold Coast which surprises Xanthe. Brooke thought she had the courage to reach out to her so Xanthe asks why she didn't. Brooke explains that Xanthe looked so happy with Ben and she didn't want to ruin that. Brooke agrees she's made terrible mistakes but now she really wants to be here for Xanthe. Brooke asks Xanthe to let her be there for her. They stand up and embrace each other. Gary smiles but Sheila doesn't look so happy!

Xanthe, Brooke, Sheila and Gary are sitting at the table. Xanthe is admiring Brooke's bracelet. Brooke says it's 14 carat. Sheila wryly asks whom Brooke scammed it from! Brooke is trying to turn things around and has started a party plan business selling jewellery.

BROOKE: It's sort of like tupperware but (goes in her bag for the item) a lot more sparkly.

Xanthe comments that Jessie's Dad allows Brooke to have parties. Brooke says she's in the servants quarters there. She travels around and goes to people's houses. What Brooke wants is for Xanthe to find it in her heart to forgive Jessie. Gary reminds Xanthe that Jessie is her sister, Xanthe reminds them that Jessie is her half-sister. Xanthe vaguely agrees she might forgive Jessie one day. Gary tells Brooke they were on Family Feud and Brooke is (probably acts) surprised. Xanthe tells her they won 10 grand and they were on last night. Gary reports that Grant is a top bloke. Sheila reminds Brooke that she follows Xanthe on Instagram. Xanthe reminds them about the social media ban until the episode airs. Xanthe invites Brooke to watch the episode online and they leave the room. Sheila doubts Brooke turned up by accident. Gary points out the reason Brooke's here is because Xanthe called Jessie. Sheila isn't buying the fact that Brooke is suddenly interested! Sheila thinks Brooke is after something.

Harold's Café
Elly can't believe Amy has agreed to a date with Leo. Leo claims when he makes a bet he always wins. Elly asks if Leo begged or bribed Amy?! Elly says that Amy is out of Leo's league so wonders what reason Amy would agree to a date. Leo is smug and Elly heads off.

Gary and Brooke arrive and Elly says she was heading to No.26. Gary introduces Elly and Brooke, explaining that Elly is Xanthe's tutor. Elly heads off and Terese comes over to introduce herself. Terese explains that her daughter Piper is good friends with Xanthe. Terese thanks Gary for having Piper to stay the night before but Gary says that Piper didn't stay over. Terese is confused as Piper didn't return till the morning. There is an awkward silence until Terese heads off.

Brooke and Gary sit down at a table. Brooke asks what's going on and Gary says Piper must have pulled a swifty. Brooke actually meant between him and Terese and Gary claims they're just neighbours. To change the subject Gary says he knows they talked at the house but he needs to ask her something. Brooke knew he had another reason to bring her out for coffee! Gary wants to check she meant what she said. Brooke tells him to relax, she meant every word she said. She's not going to stuff up this second chance she has with Xanthe.

Ramsay Street
Piper gets her stuff out of Hermione as Tyler jogs past. Piper calls after him wondering why he didn't greet her. Tyler claims there's nothing to say at this point. Piper realises that Aaron told him and Tyler agrees as brothers they don't keep secrets. Piper confirms he should hear from her she spent the night with Angus. Tyler tells her it's her life and she can do what she wants to with it. She doesn't need to explain it to him. Tyler jogs off. Terese pulls up and asks where Piper was last night. Terese tells her not to make up a story.

Elly and Xanthe are sitting at the table. Elly tells Xanthe she thought Xanthe would cancel on her. Xanthe points out that if she had cancelled Sheila would kill her. Xanthe adds that the guy (Auden?) is pretty cool in this. Amy arrives and wants to know what happened with Brooke. Xanthe says it was fine and Amy checks that is all that happened and if Xanthe wants to talk about it. Amy offers to stay home and ditch Leo. Xanthe tells her it's fine and then realises that Amy is going on a date with Leo. Xanthe wants to know what Amy's wearing, Amy doesn't know yet. Leo recommended something fancy and Xanthe's face falls. Amy questions whether Leo has met her! Paul arrives and explains he intercepted a courier dropping off a ribbon covered black box. Amy's surprised it's for her as she didn't buy anything. Xanthe opens it to find a dress in the box. The note is from Leo hoping that Amy likes the opera! Paul wants to know what's happening so Elly explains that tonight Amy and Leo are going on a date. Paul asks when they started dating. Amy explains it's a one off and she's thinking about backing out. Xanthe reminds Amy she can't do that after receiving the dress. Paul recommends Amy should go with her original gut feeling. Xanthe points out it's a fairytale so Amy can't say no. It would be a crime to fashion!

No.22 Backyard
Terese asks if it was Tyler and Piper confirms it wasn't. Piper won't tell Terese whom it was but the guy is Piper's age. Terese wants to know how well Piper knows him. Piper confirms she knows him pretty well. Terese doesn't need to worry about him being a stranger. Piper wasn't pressured and she was safe. Piper comments that Terese is being very calm about it which is freaking Piper out. Terese doesn't think it's a yelling situation. Terese is concerned that her objection towards Tyler pushed Piper to do this. Terese asks if that's what happened. Piper agrees maybe it is, she was trying to distract herself. It was a conscious decision though and she knew what she was doing.

PIPER: I didn't know I would regret it this much. Thank you for not being all judgey and not being all awkward with me. Thanks for just being awesome about all this.

Brooke and Xanthe are sitting opposite each other on the sofas. Xanthe asks if Brooke is heading off soon. Brooke says she won't if Xanthe wants her to stay. Brooke's here for Xanthe but she also doesn't want to crowd her. Xanthe is pleased and wants them to hang out tomorrow. Brooke mentions Gary asking Sheila if she can stay here if it's ok with Xanthe. Xanthe is happy with the idea, she wanted Brooke to stay here but she didn't want Brooke to feel pressured.

AMY: Xanthe! How long am I meant to heat these stupid curling tongs up for?
XANTHE: Oh my God! She's actually going to burn our house down!

Xanthe heads off to Amy's rescue and Brooke goes to the kitchen to make a phonecall.

BROOKE: Hey it's me. Yeah I'm on to it. Yes I just need to find the right angle and win their trust. I won't let you down.
