Lassiters Complex
Piper approaches Brodie who is hiding behind a tree. She hugs him, surprised he got here so quickly. He explains the flights here were cheap and he's been thinking of coming here for work.

BRODIE: It gives me an excuse to be close to you.

Piper smiles uncomfortably. Brodie takes a step closer towards her and says he wants them to forget what happened and move on.

Cue Titles

Erinsborough Hospital
Terese enters Paul's room. She wants to make sure Paul understands that Lassiters accepts no responsibility for what happened even though it happened in their car park. Paul says it was an accident and he won't sue. Paul says anyone with half a brain would know Lassiters was not liable, why would he bother suing? Terese thinks he might do it to damage Lassiter's name, to create business for the motel.

TERESE: It doesn't matter. When Lassiter's reopens, we're taking Robinson's down.

Terese leaves.

Harold's
Steph and Lauren enter the kitchen. Lauren tells Steph about the awkward moment with Ned when he dropped his towel. Lauren is trying to keep her distance but they live in the same house, and things are strained between her and Brad at the moment. Lauren tells Steph that something is going on between Brad and Terese which he won't tell her about, and physically things are on hold between them. She's finding it harder to talk to Brad. Lauren has to get back to work but thanks Steph for listening.

Lauren heads back to work while Steph leaves, passing Sonya. Sonya is surprised to see Walter in Harold's. He assures her he's not trying to push, he thought he should just be around in case she changes her mind.

WALTER: You're not the only reason I'm still here. Terese and I have struck up a friendship and I'm thinking of asking her out actually, unless that would be weird. I know that you two are friends.
SONYA: Well we're neighbours as well.
WALTER: Well I'll back off, if you want me to.
SONYA: I can't tell you what you can and can't do, so.
WALTER: In this case I'm giving you that option. I don't want you to feel...
SONYA: You do whatever you want.
WALTER: Really? Really? Okay, well thank you. See you around.

Walter leaves while Sonya looks aggravated.

Lassiters Lake
Sitting on a bench by the lake, Brodie tells Piper he heard about Doug and Josh and can't imagine what that would have been like for her. He wanted to be there but thought he'd be the last person she wanted to see. She asks when he heard about the explosion. He said it came on his news feed when he was back in Perth, but she wants to know when he went to Perth. As they talk about it Tyler swans over and accuses Brodie of hassling Piper. Piper says everything is fine, but Tyler won't leave her alone with him. Piper decides to go get a coffee and she'll be back.

As Piper leaves, she drags Tyler away from Brodie. Tyler can't believe she's hanging out with someone who tried to kidnap her, but Piper says she can look after herself. Tyler wonders if she's following that hunch of hers. Piper just wants to talk to Brodie to see what he'll admit. Tyler says if it was Brodie he could be dangerous, and tells her to contact the police. Piper refuses, she wants to do this her way.

Harold's
Brad and Ned sit down for lunch, Brad tells Ned that Lauren's pancakes are amazing. Brad realised that he hasn't asked Ned if he's seeing anyone. Ned watches Lauren who is working at the back of the shop as he tells Brad he was seeing someone but it didn't work out. He says they wanted different things, just as he and Lauren make eye contact. Brad asks if someone else is on the horizon. He says it probably won't happen, as the women he's interested in is older. Brad doesn't think age should get in the way if there is something there. Ned thinks Brad is right, and turns to Lauren, who walks away.

Robinson's Motel
Steph returns to see Paul's whiteboard has been wiped clean.

Erinsborough Hospital
Paul picks up a photo of Amy and Jimmy and smiles. Steph arrives and Paul tells her he's about to be discharged. Steph tells him about the whiteboard. She guesses Aaron is responsible, but Paul thinks it must have been Mark. He thinks that the police don't want any evidence getting in the way of arresting him. Steph doesn't think Mark would do that, but she says she'll ask him anyway. Paul tells her to leave it, he's done for anyway. There's no way he can prove his innocence so they should let it go.

The Waterhole
Terese is staring at a wine-rack, before picking up a coffee from the bar. Sonya arrives to talk to Terese. Terese has heard that Walter is her uncle and wants to know if Sonya's okay. Sonya says it's a lot to take on, but she knows Walter wants to ask Terese out. Terese looks flattered.

TERESE: I won't if it will make you feel uncomfortable.
SONYA: No, you don't have to do that, it's not like he's a bad guy.
TERESE: No but our friendship comes first.
SONYA: Thank you. If you want to, please, just go for it. I just want you to be careful because really, he's not the most reliable guy in the world.
TERESE: Okay, well thanks for the heads up, if he even asks me.
SONYA: Terese you've been through so much lately, I really don't want him to let you down.
TERESE: Romance really isn't on my radar at the moment. I'll keep you updated.

Harold's
Brad insists on paying for the food, but he has to rush off and see Terese as he's worried how she's coping. Lauren says she was about to take a break, but Brad says he'll swing by later. Brad leaves. Lauren talks to Ned about this morning to clear the air. Ned says the towel thing was no big deal and nothing to be embarrassed about. Lauren isn't embarrassed.

LAUREN: We need to set a few things straight, like the way you look at me sometimes.
NED: How do I look at you?
LAUREN: You know what, forget it?
NED: No it was a genuine question, I don't want you to feel uncomfortable.
LAUREN: Then stop looking at me like I'm a woman.
NED: You're not a woman? Does Brad know?
LAUREN: I mean, an available woman. I'm your dad's partner for goodness sake, it's inappropriate and you know it.
NED: Then I'll make sure it doesn't happen again.
LAUREN: And no more walking around in towels.
NED: Okay. I know you're with Brad. I respect that.
LAUREN: Good.
NED: But I wouldn't take a woman like you for granted like he does. Not for a second.

After a few long lingering looks, Ned leaves, and Lauren gets back to work.

Lassiter's Complex
Terese and Brad leave the Lassiter's building which is being renovated. Terese thanks Brad for checking up on her.

BRAD: You still not sleeping?
TERESE: Yeah like a baby. I'm waking up every three hours, crying.

Brad sees Walter approaching and guesses he's the guy Terese was talking about earlier. Brad leaves them to it. Walter says hi to Terese, saying she's a hard woman to track down. Terese tells him about her chat with Sonya. Walter says this visit was supposed to be about him putting things right with Sonya but he's buggered it up by not coming clean with her from the start. Terese checks he isn't planning on drowning his sorrows, and offers to go for coffee with him.

Lassiter's Lake
Brodie and Piper are sitting.

BRODIE: That Tyler's not the sharpest crown in the box is he?
PIPER: Hey! He's a good friend alright, he's just a bit over protective.
BRODIE: I saw his interview on your blog, all that stuff he was saying about being responsible for the explosion, it takes more than five minutes mucking around with a boiler for it to blow up.
PIPER: How long does it take?
BRODIE: How would I know, I'm just saying what Tyler said doesn't make any sense.

Piper knows she didn't mention a time frame in the interview with Tyler. Brodie says he must have read it in a newspaper. Brodie assures Piper he wasn't stalking when he watched the interview, he just wanted to make sure she was okay. Piper asks Brodie if he has any ideas on who might be responsible for the explosion. Brodie though they had caught the guy, but Piper and others think that Paul is innocent. Piper questions how Brodie knows how long Tyler was in the boiler room. She suggests Brodie was there.

BRODIE: Are you seriously accusing me of having something to do with the explosion?
PIPER: No not something, everything.
BRODIE: Are you crazy? Why would I do something like that Piper?
PIPER: I don't know, to get back at me.
BRODIE: By blowing up a hotel?
PIPER: Maybe you didn't mean to. Maybe things just got out of control.
BRODIE: Is that why you texted me, why you're asking me all these questions?
PIPER: Why else would I want to talk to you after the way you treated me?

Brodie takes his bag and leaves.

The Waterhole
Terese and Walter are having coffee.

TERESE: What's the longest you've stayed in one place?
WALTER: Is that including prison terms?
TERESE: Are you serious?
(Walter bursts out laughing).
TERESE (laughing): Don't do that to me!

He tells Terese about spending a couple of years in Papua New Guinea and New Zealand. Terese asks how many countries he's been in and he says about ten. Terese says her life has been very different, she met Brad when she was very young, got married and had kids. Walter says they've ended up in the same place. Terese suggests they get out of here and get some fresh air. Walter checks she's okay with this after Sonya's warning. Terese says it's just a friendly walk and she'd rather not be alone.

Number 32 Back Yard
Lauren asks Brad if they are alright, as their relationship feels different. Lauren knows Brad is grieving and she knows how that feels, but she doesn't want them to stop communicating. Lauren says they are not as close as they used to be. Brad says he isn't in the mood for that right now. Lauren says she's here and she can comfort him too.

Ned arrives wearing a nice shirt, he's off on a date with a girl he met on Tinder. He asks to see the paper to see what movies are on, but Brad says Ned went overboard with the cologne. Ned leans over Lauren and asks for a woman's opinion. Lauren, looking very uncomfortable, says it is fine, it's a nice aftershave and she's sure she'll love it. Ned leaves.

Lassiter's Complex
Steph checks if Paul is okay with this. Paul summarises that he's been in hospital for two days and in that time his investigation has been sabotaged and the woman that he loves hates him, so he thinks he deserves a decent coffee.

Meanwhile Walter and Terese walk across the bridge over Lassiters Lake, holding hands. She suggests they go for dinner. Terese says this is the distraction she needs right now. She's worried if it isn't him, it'll be a bottle of wine. We cut to Paul who looks over to see Walter and Terese talking. We then cut back to Terese as she says 'I bet that is the sexiest thing you've heard in a long time.' We then cut back to Paul who looks heartbroken as he sees Walter and Terese having a full on pash.

Number 22 Back Yard/Ramsay Street
Piper is on the phone to Tyler as she hangs up the washing. Tyler meanwhile is walking up Ramsay Street, asking Piper if she's forgotten what Brodie did to her. He wants her to make sure someone is with her if she meets Brodie again.

TYLER: You can't go around accusing people of blowing things up!
PIPER: You never know, if I keep doing it I might actually get an answer.
TYLER: Yeah that's what I'm afraid of.
PIPER: You know you can be really patronising when you want to be.
TYLER: It's called caring.
PIPER: Well whatever it's called, I've had enough of it.
TYLER: Okay, you're on your own. Don't expect me to come to your rescue anymore.

Tyler hangs up. Piper finishes hanging up the washing, as Brodie appears behind her.
