Number 22
As the family breakfast together in the sun room, Imogen drops Josh in it with their parents until he's forced to tell them about his new job as 'an entertainer' not an exotic dancer as Terese initially described him as. The parents aren't exactly jumping for joy at the news but then he gets his revenge on his sister by telling them about Imogen being on a date (with Casper)! They aren't jumping for joy at that news either and the family continue eating their breakfast in silence.

Number 32
Lauren tries a last ditch plea to stop Amber from going to see a lawyer about the trip to America but she'd rather get the ball rolling and be doing something (the confirmation of diagnosis won't come until next week). She then receives some good news on the funding front - Lauren is going to give her the money she got for designing the new Lassiters logo.

Number 22
Brad/ Terese discuss Josh's new job and while neither can believe the career choice they admit that they are proud of him. Terese brings Brad up to speed on the Daniel/Imogen kiss as it somewhat bypassed him. It then dawns on them that that they've lost touch with their kids and top of the plan for getting back on track is convincing Josh that they don't need to go to America. Terese wants to get Lauren on board (for strength in numbers) and Brad sends her a text asking her to meet at The Waterhole to discuss the kids.

Harold's Store
While he is in for a coffee, Lauren asks Mark about the patrols. He confirms that due to budget restraints, the best they can do is a night-time drive by. "Better than nothing I suppose," Lauren comments and when Mark asks how Paige is holding up, she replies he can ask her himself (she's just walked in the door) but he is suddenly rather busy and needs to keep going, passing her with a "hey" on the way out of the store.

Paige thinks Mark thought she was making the prowler up as an explanation for him almost blanking her as he left the store but Lauren replies that isn't the case and that their chat implied he cared about her and is fighting to keep the night patrols up. Paige's comeback is that they don't need him, they've got Brad and asks her mum if she finds it reassuring having him just across the road? After hearing that comment, Lauren suddenly decides she needs to leave the store.

Eden University
After witnessing Casper giving Imogen a quick peck on the cheek, Daniel suddenly decides to join them at their table. Imogen does the intros and accuses Daniel of freeloading when he explained he planned on popping into a few classes "to expand his mind". Casper invites Daniel to attend a public seminar he's holding much to Imogen's annoyance.

The Waterhole
Lauren, Brad and Terese meet to discuss persuading Josh/Amber not to go to America. Brad suggests it will get held up at the visa stage but Terese fears a lawyer will just bankrupt them by dragging out the visa application, however he urges them to wait until after the lawyer meeting to discuss their next move.

Number 32
Amber/Josh return from the lawyer meeting with a large bill and the advice that is she's good to get a visa but he shouldn't even bother applying for one. "I will go to America on my own," Amber declares if the baby's condition is serious enough to warrant going.

Eden University
Daniel likes what Casper is saying about off-grid living to the silently gathered that have turned up for his public seminar but then interrupts to say that in theory its good but in reality it won't work. After finding out he was involved with the Eden Project, Casper invites Daniel to talk about his experiences to the gathered and when time runs out, asks if they can continue to chat privately later.

The Waterhole
Josh tells his mum the result of the lawyer meeting and that Amber is still intent on going to America if the news is bad next week.

Number 32
Lauren has heard the news too and doesn't want her daughter to go to America alone and adds if Matt were here, he'd be saying the same thing too. Amber blurts out that she has to do it alone and can't be the cause of any more grief for the family. This outburst puzzles Lauren so Amber explains what she meant.

AMBER: Because I'm the one that got pregnant, I'm the one that has brought all of this additional stresses and it's just after we lost dad, and Bailey's gone. You've been through so much. What if this baby is really sick? What if it doesn't survive?
LAUREN: We will get through this as a family.

"No more America, okay?" Lauren adds and silently Amber nods her head.

After a long pause, Lauren can sense there is something else and Amber admits that she figured with everything going on with Brad that would be her priority. Lauren is shocked she'd make a statement like that and denies that there is anything going on with him.

LAUREN: There's nothing to worry about.
AMBER: So things aren't weird?
LAUREN: ...
AMBER: It's okay mum, if I'm allowed to be a confused mess you are too.

"You should really sort it out," Amber adds and this time it's Lauren silently nodding her head.

Harold's Store
Things are somewhat awkward when Brad comes in to get a carton of milk at the store. Even the news that Lauren hopes she's persuaded Amber to stay in Australia for treatment doesn't break the awkwardness between them until she decides to confront him about it.

LAUREN: This is ridiculous, we keep pretending nothing's going on.
BRAD: Nothing is going on.
LAUREN: (shaking her head) You know that's not true. Can we please sort this out?

The pair then head to the privacy of the kitchen and both admit that they felt something the other night and Lauren asks what are they going to do now? Nothing is Brad's reply and reminds her that he's married and committed to Terese. "Of course, exactly," Lauren mutters in response.

BRAD: I'm glad we agree.

After a moment of silence, it dawns on Brad that Lauren has told someone and she confirms she's said something to Amber because she saw them.

LAUREN: She's not blind, she asked me directly so I had to say something.
BRAD: I understand.
LAUREN: You've got nothing to worry about, she's not going to tell Terese.

"I'm glad we sorted it out," Brad adds and Lauren is in agreement with that before going on to explain that Amber felt she couldn't come to her and confide in her and she doesn't want her kids to feel like that.

BRAD: It's behind us now.

Number 32 backyard
Paige works out to 'March into the ocean' and just as she collapses from exhaustion, hears someone come into the backyard. Immediately, she grabs something to defend herself with (the sweeping brush) and as the person approaches, she swings it so that it connects with the person... that person was Mark! She is immediately apologetic while he tries to get his breath back and when he does, explains that he wasn't prowling, simply out patrolling.

PAIGE: I thought the cops were only patrolling at night.
MARK: They are.
PAIGE: So what are you doing here Mark?
MARK: ...

Eden University
Casper thanks Daniel for what he said to the audience and describes him as a legend!

CASPER: You really blew my mind.
IMOGEN: (sarcastically) He took over the whole thing.

Casper then declares that he and Daniel should hang out more, something Daniel readily agrees to.

Number 32
Now safely inside, Mark explains he's doing the patrols in his own time and agrees that perhaps yes he should have let them know what he was intending to do.

MARK: Don't know why I bothered, you can obviously take care of yourself!
PAIGE: Hang on, you came over here in your own time?!

(Mark nods that is what he's done)

PAIGE: And that's not telling you anything?!
MARK: Yes...that I'm a dedicated officer doing his job!

After reminding him that he's off duty, Mark puts the dedication down to having a civil responsibility. "Give me a break," Paige replies and Mark can't get out the house quick enough... after reminding her about safety precautions! "Thanks for the tip officer," she sarcastically replies.

The Waterhole
Amber tells Josh about her turnaround from earlier and that she won't be going to America. He's glad of the mind change and reassures her he'll be by her side as she goes through it. "I want you there too," she replies and goes to tell her online friend Phoebe the news as Josh departs for TAFE, passing his dad quickly on the way out to give him the news that they both aren't going to America.

Brad goes over to the table his son was at to re-confirm to Amber that nothing happened with Lauren, simply emotions running high after they thought Paige's stalker was there. "I get it," she replies and agrees to his request not to say anything to Paige (or anyone) so it's not blown out of proportion.

Number 24
"Why won't you talk to me," Paige greets Mark with on barging into his house. He reminds her that he has been talking to her.

PAIGE: Your mouth has been open, words coming out but they are meaningless.

He's stung by this 'meaningless' claim but Paige tells him to stop, she's not finished.

PAIGE: I am sick of all this pretending, me pretending that I'm okay with thinks and you pretending to watch over me because you're a cop.
MARK: I am watching over you because I'm a cop.
PAIGE: Mark, this is killing me. The fact is I'm into you and I am pretty sure that you're into me but if you're not, can you please tell me and put me out of my misery.
MARK: ...
PAIGE: (frustrated) Okay, so what are we going to do about it?

Mark is still staying silent, so Paige takes matters into her own hands, she moves towards him and puts her hands round his neck prior to kissing him once before pulling back. He decides he wants more and starts pashing her.
