- Georgia updating Naomi about the cancer treatment options in Europe.
- Sonya talking to Mark about his feelings for Paige.
- Naomi unimpressed with the car mechanic course Mark booked them on.
- Naomi discovering Mark asking Paul for dating advice.
- Joey Dimato dropping off a lot of cash with Paige/Tyler.
Paige and Tyler are trying to decide what to do with the money Joey dropped off… all $50k of it when Michelle calls with details of what they need to do – simply drop the bag off at Lassiters that afternoon.
Naomi decides to reply back to Mark's text, telling him to buy her ‘white roses and milk chocolates' and she doesn't look amused when he texts back ‘thanks again'!
Paul returns with their coffees and wants them to start working on a proposal to the Quill Group to buy Lassiters back, hoping that after the Ezra scandal they'll quietly sell to him. She isn't so sure they'll sell and subtly changes the subject to the change in style of dates Mark has taken her on but Paul ignores the prompt and wants them to get back on the topic in hand.
Meanwhile at the other side of the bar, Georgia shows Karl the research she's done on a possible place for her mum to go to in Munich that will give her the best shot.
Having transferred the money into a less conspicuous bag, Paige/Tyler arrive to meet the person with only vague details of what he looks like (lots of tats!). And what a perfect day they've chose to do the drop… right when there is a police community sizzle happening at Lassiters! “Call Michelle,” Paige tells Tyler after Mark (who told them about the sizzle) heads off to set up with the other police officers newly arriving.
Mark interrupts Naomi/Paul's meeting to hand over the flowers and chocolates to make up for sending her on the mechanics course. While she love the flowers she's not so impressed with the milk chocolates (says she gives them a headache despite what she wrote in the text). She uses this ‘flaw' to get it out of Mark that he's been getting Paul's help to date her and she isn't impressed he's not thought of anything by himself. Mark explains why he asked for Paul's advice, he wanted her to do something she'd really enjoy.
NAOMI: And he'd no right giving it to you. I don't understand why either of you would do this, it is unbelievable.
While Mark is sighing to himself, Naomi has walked out of the bar and Paul orders him to go after her.
MARK: I think I'll let her cool off.
PAUL: You're pathetic.
Naomi isn't impressed to see Paul at her doorstep as she's peeved at him for dating her through Mark, “which makes no sense at all!”
PAUL: The truth is yes, I was interested, I do have feelings for you but whatever we might have had was doomed.
NAOMI: How do you even know that until you give it a go?
PAUL: Because I always mess up my personal life.
She then comments that there's obviously no room for exceptions while trying to get away from him, which fails as he follows her into the kitchen.
PAUL: I just want you to be happy and you deserve someone that will treat you the right way. Look, I don't want to mess up another relationship and in particular not one with you.
NAOMI: Why can't you just let me risk that?
PAUL: Because I need to focus on getting my life back on track now that I'm well again.
She reminds him that he wasn't terminal, which he gets but adds that it just made him realise how much he needs to make up.
PAUL: And I need to do that alone.
“I'm sorry,” he also quietly adds before walking out of the house.
The Rebecchi's collect their sizzle order from Mark and go off to enjoy it.
The smell is tempting Tyler to go get something until Paige warns him not to because she doesn't want to be left alone with the cash! The Rebecchi's pass them and Nell is drawn to the charms on the bag and Paige carefully moves the bag to her other side causing Nell to lose attention and go play in the trees instead… that is until a bee stings her and they decide to leave in case she is allergic to them like her mum is.
Michelle sends them a text saying the guy isn't coming so it's back to the question of where can they hide it. The garage and their respective places are ruled out and they can't think of an alternative because nowhere is safe. Tyler then has a brainwave – the well (now with a repaired ladder) where Daniel/Imogen were trapped and since it's the only place they can think of, they reluctantly drop the bag into the well.
Georgia tells Karl about the great news – her mum has been accepted to the treatment centre in Germany.
Before they can chat more they spot the Rebecchi's who are there with Nell – she took a funny turn in the car after the bee sting so headed to the hospital. Karl calms Toadie/Sonya down while Georgia takes Nell into a treatment room to run some tests, confident that she hasn't suffered a major reaction.
Tyler/Paige receive news that the drop is back on for 9pm and they hope that the police have cleared out by then.
Paige puts her foot down and tells Tyler that they can't join Kyle for post- work drinks tonight because they've got “a thing” on, and further pretend to be a couple since Kyle's heard they are one from Mark.
“I just wanted things to be right with us this time you know,” Mark explains after bringing round the flowers Naomi left and a box of dark chocolates having swapped them. He adds that Paul seemed to have all the answers but calls himself an idiot for listening to him. Naomi gets that he meant well but then says that stuff should just come naturally, he shouldn't have to try. “I get that,” Mark replies and Naomi starts on the break up speech with him.
MARK: You still have feelings for Paul?
Her silence says it all but eventually she tells him that she can't keep fooling herself any more by dating him while her heart isn't in it. “This is Paul we're talking about,” he reminds her and agrees that he infuriates her too but she can't turn her feelings off. Naomi admits that what they had was fun but didn't think it would last long term.
NAOMI: I want it know that you are one of the most caring, decent, honest guys I've ever been out with and I know there is a girl out there who is going to appreciate all of that. I'm just sorry that's not me.
MARK: Yes, so am I.
Paige/Tyler reach the well again and Paige heads down first followed by Tyler. Neither are chuffed to be down there and of course the contents of the bag have come out and so Paige orders Tyler to help her gather the stuff up.
“She's fine,” Sonya tells Mark after he rushes down to see how Nell is. Sonya then adds that Karl is keeping her in overnight for observation and doesn't want him to go visit as Toadie is getting her off to sleep. Instead, she asks about him doing on dates with Naomi and is forced to tell her that Naomi called things off.
Kyle wants to know why Naomi has called things off with Mark and she explains that she doesn't feel the same way about him as he does about her.
Mark is in agreement with that as he explains things to Sonya. “No point faking it,” Sonya laments.
And Naomi has just said the same thing to Kyle although he isn't too please at the prospect of her dating Paul given he's older. “What is age Kyle?!” she asks before adding that Paul keeps rejecting her.
KYLE: I don't know what you see in the guy but I do know what it's like to be pushed away… it sucks!
And Paige/Tyler's day just gets better – they can't leave the well as it appears someone is setting up for a picnic! “I guess we'll just have to wait it out,” he says.
It's dark now and they are still trapped down the well because the people haven't left. “Who has a picnic at this hour,” Paige bemoans and Tyler replies “teenagers!”
Paige isn't pleased at Tyler's choice of games while they wait, ‘I Spy' and '20 questions' but does answer one of them (why she hasn't got a boyfriend) and replies that she's no problem getting one, its keeping one that is her issue.
TYLER: That's true, you are annoying and a pain to be around but I like to disagree with you. You're definitely worth getting to know.
PAIGE: Wow, look at you Mr Sensitive!
TYLER: You're my little honey bear!
PAIGE: Shut up!
Ignoring her patient (Nell), Georgia has a quick chat with her dad about putting the plans in order for him to be with Rhonda when she is in Germany.
Georgia was so distracted with the call, that she almost gave Nell an accidental overdose of paracetamol but thankfully Sonya arrived back in the room to realise what was about to happen. Georgia is aghast at what almost happened and Sonya suggests that if she's preoccupied by things at home then she shouldn't be at work.
Paige is having difficulty accepting the compliments Tyler is dishing out about her including that Mark was stupid to let her go. “You're just messing with me,” she says but he is serious because she's “pretty awesome when you want to be.” Tyler denies that he'd get sick of her too.
PAIGE: You really mean that don't you?
TYLER: Yes. You're funny, you're smart, you know exactly what you want. What more could a guy ask for?
After that comment, Paige leans over and kisses him, which then turns into a full blown pash!
- Georgia wanting to know if Karl is going to report her.
- Nate being provoked as he does his duties.
