- Matt informing Naomi that the others have withdrawn their statements against Dimato.
- Dimato subtly warning Naomi.
- Terese telling Paul to get the rubbish situation sorted pronto.
- Naomi and Mark TITTNL™.
- Paige arranging to meet Bryson.
Brad/Imogen put the heavy on Bailey to tell them where Paige is meeting Bryce but he doesn't know where the meet will take place but quickly goes to his computer to check out social media to search for a clue.
Dimato (and his heavies) watch Mark/Tyler caper around from his car that is parked outside Grease Monkey's.
Terese and Chris are stunned that Paul has somehow got the piled up rubbish removed and when she spots him walking with Naomi decides to go ask how he got it done. Paul refuses to say how just that something has been arranged and also refuses to elaborate where the contingency money for the festival has gone to too. “All will be revealed in good time,” he tells them before leaving.
NAOMI: What's he doing? Is he planning something?
TERESE: Without a shadow of doubt!
Terese departs and Mark arrives to invite Naomi to join him for lunch.
Brad, Imogen and Bailey arrive at the place where Paige was meeting Bryson but their is no sign of her… except the flower Paige was wearing in her hair.
Brad is on the hunt for Paige and finds her in the bar and makes is displeasure of what she did known and that she should have left it to the police.
PAIGE: Yes but the police wouldn't have been able to give him the punch in the face that I've been fantasising about!
She then admits that she didn't think things through when Brad points out that he could have done a permanent runner and something could have happened to her too.
Grease Monkey's exterior
On exiting Grease Monkey's, Tyler spots Dimato's car and the pair of them engage in conversation about it before saying goodbye.
Despite having lunch, Naomi's still got “an appetite” and makes a date with Mark to hook up later after both make it clear that they are on the same wavelength over how things stand.
Just before they were heading off, Matt calls to give Naomi the news that the DPP have dropped the case against Dimato.
Paige has got a message from Bryson apologising for chickening out and in return she sends him one back saying he could have at least said ‘hello'. Moments later, a guy comes up to the counter and says to her “hello” – its Bryson, who looks about the total polar opposite of the images he was using online.
Mark/Naomi are making their displeasure at the news the DPP has dropped the case to Matt. He explains to them that the case was dropped after the DPP checked into Naomi's background and fear that she'll be crucified on the stand if it goes to trial. Matt looks about as dejected as they are at the news too.
Paige quickly sends a text to Matt informing him that Bryson is at Harold's. She then re- joins him at his table and raises the obvious question that he looks totally different to the pictures used online.
BRYSON: Would you have given me the time of day if you knew what I really looked like?
PAIGE: I'm not that superficial; I thought you would know that about me by now.
She reassures him that it doesn't matter and he confesses that he'd hoped she'd used a fake photo too, and this was the reason he bailed from meeting her earlier and felt guilty enough to come and explain things to her.
PAIGE: So what else have you lied about?
BRYSON: I only lied about the way I look, but now I get it, if you don't want to see me again that's fair enough.
Paige can't resist bringing up the money any longer and asks how he could steal her identity and do what he did to her family?! “I don't get it,” he says and when she accuses him of taking the money, he denies this because he's no idea what she is talking about!
PAIGE: Just admit it!
BRYSON: I'm not admitting to something I didn't do.
PAIGE: Where is the money?! Just tell me!
Bryson has heard enough and goes to leave but before he has a chance to, Matt (and a silent colleague) arrive and ask Bryson to come to the station to clear things up.
Nate spots Naomi entering the bar but she seems in a world of her own judging by the one- worded replies she is giving to his questions. She explains that while one person was attacking her, another was defending her, which surprised her as that person is normally her mum. In turn, he explains that he's come round to Chris being nice/supportive as he's never had that in the past and admits that he actually finds it “awesome.”
Just as she was about to exit the bar, Terese spots Josh and his fellow community service colleagues taking away the rubbish from the complex – their new orders apparently.
JOSH: Not happy?
(Terese walks out of the bar)
JOSH: Not happy!
Grease Monkey's exterior
Mark pulls up at the garage as Dimato and his heavies are eating some food. Dimato points out to his heavies that it looks like their friendly mechanic has something to say as he makes his way over to their table.
MARK: You got away it this time but you can't stay lucky forever.
DIMATO: You got a crystal ball do you?
MARK: No, no I'm on a personal mission.
DIMATO: Oh well on you Superman! Looking forward to seeing you try.
Dimato then dismisses Mark away from his table.
Paige and Bailey wait impatiently for news but when Bryson comes out, he's declared innocent and is free to go. “I didn't do anything,” Bryson pleads again when Paige tries to get him to confess and Matt signals for him to leave the station much to Paige's frustration! Matt explains that there is no evidence to prove it was Bryson and just as she asks “who did it?” Bailey pipes up that it's his fault!
BAILEY: I'm the reason the money's gone.
PAIGE: What are you talking about?
BAILEY: Well I think I know what happened.
Tyler asks Imogen if she knows anyone who is after his bike when she comes over to chat – he's only got $20.50 in his account and Mark has already reminded him that the rent money is due at the end of the week. She agrees to keep the news he's skint quiet from Mark as she leaves.
Dimato changes places with her and is impressed at Tyler's bike but not enough to buy it from him! Instead, he offers Tyler a cash- in- hand job, which he turns down, but Dimato leaves him his card in case he changes his mind.
Terese makes her displeasure known at the deal Paul did to get the rubbish shifted from Lassiters. She also mentions her chat with Sue Parker and we see what Paul has used the money that should have been used to pay the cleansing workers – an advert (staring himself and shamelessly plugging Lassiters/The Complex businesses) for the forthcoming festival.
PAUL: It's pretty good don't you think?!
He's chuffed to tell her that he's secured an advertising slot tonight during the late news. Terese isn't chuffed and warns him that she won't be silenced and he needs to fix it immediately.
TERESE: Get the union back onside or I'll get the media involved.
PAUL: Alright, alright!
It would appear that Bailey took a leaf out of his big sisters book and found himself an online friend – Svetlana (or at least that's the name she used with him) from Russia and the key logging programme must have been included with the photos that she sent him that Bailey downloaded on Paige's computer. Matt asks why he didn't say anything and Bailey explains that since Paige was so convinced it was Bryson that he just did too. Bailey sincerely apologises to his dad.
Tyler tells Imogen about the job offer from Dimato and it would just be temporary until he got back on his feet. Imogen's tuppenceworth is he should come clean about his finances to Mark and is sure he'd help him out. Tyler doesn't want that and instead after leaving Imogen to her studies, gets out the card Dimato gave him to call and says that he's in for the job offer.
Matt doesn't look too chuffed to see Mark enter the bar as he's having a quiet beer and when he approaches, reaffirms that there is nothing he can do about Dimato. “We need to bring him down,” is Mark's reply and Matt asks what he means by “we.”
MARK: Yes, I want to get involved.
MATT: Nice idea Mark but last time I checked you were not a cop anymore.
MARK: Yes well that's why I'm here; I want to get back on the force.
MARK: I want to be a cop again.
- Harold is back but what is he hiding?
