Daniel and Amber arrive to ask Imogen to the School Formal. Well, who fancies being a gooseberry? Imogen says no, as you would, but Daniel says Amber will be busy, and he'll be a loner. Imogen wants to spend the time with Doug before he leaves, so Amber suggests she come for a while. Imogen says no, and sends them off to get ready.
IMOGEN: I look forward to the endless amounts of selfies on Facebook.
Men's Shed
Kyle has finished Karl's bed and he (and Gary) are very impressed with how it looks.
KARL: It needs to be very strong though, because our last bed suffered from a lot of wear and tear.
Kyle assures him that it's top quality Australian hardwood.
KARL: I was sort of hoping there would be bedposts, you know, for tying the... for... for ties. For tying ties. You know, neckties.
SHEILA: Why would you want to tie a necktie on your bed?
KARL: I like to drape them, that's all. It's just a... it's a foible.
Karl sits on the bed and a spring creaks. Kyle promises to fix it.
Waterhole
Susan and Terese are talking about Ezra. Susan is surprised that Terese had a drink with him even after arguing with Brad. Terese says that she found it refreshing talking to someone from the corporate world. She points out she didn't have an affair with Ezra previously, and she's not going to have one now.
Doug arrives and tells Terese that Imogen won't go to the school formal. He suggests a Willis Family formal at No 22, but she needs to be there. She looks conflicted.
Harold's
Susan asks if Amber has her captain's speech prepared, which she does. Chris asks what she's wearing, and she says she's borrowing a dress from Rain.
CHRIS: OK, I know I had a head injury, but that just seems really bizarre.
He asks Nate to back him up, but Nate doesn't seem to be listening.

Doug announces the formal to Brad and Imogen. Imogen says she wants to watch TV, but Doug points out it's his farewell, which she concedes. Besides, he says that Terese is coming. Imogen is pleased and goes off to get ready. Brad is not so happy and asks Doug how he managed it.
DOUG: One of the few benefits of my conditions is that people find it hard to say no.
He continues, saying he and Terese are both worried about Imogen. And if Terese and Brad get back together as well, that's a win-win. Brad agrees.
Men's shed
Kyle is getting frustrated because he can't fix the bed. Gary tells him to take a break to clear his head.
GARY: Why don't you pick up a can of WD40? Maybe some extra TLC on the joints will fix the squeak.
Yes, my father-in-law always liked WD40. Kyle leaves, saying that no-one should touch the bed. Gary takes off his jacket and rolls up his sleeves, then picks up a screwdriver and starts unscrewing...

Susan asks Nate how he is, as she'd noticed he was distracted in Harold's. He says he can't talk about it to her, as he promised Karl. He says he has an appointment with a counsellor and he has to head off. Susan looks concerned.
Counsellor's Office
Nate tells the counsellor he can't see the point of talking.
COUNSELLOR: Will not talking help?
NATE: OK. Shall I start from the beginning? Or should we rehash all the horrific things that I've seen? Or maybe talk about the ups and downs of my relationships. None of it changes what I feel in my head.
She asks why he's there, and he says it's a good question.
Lassiter's Complex
Nate is walking around, while the voices around him are distorted. Someone bumps into him, and he breathes heavily.

Men's shed
Kyle returns with the WD40, but Gary says he's fixed the bed. Kyle is annoyed at first but Gary points out he used to be a good handyman. Gary decides to test the bed and takes his shoes off, inviting Kyle to do the same.
GARY: Mate, you know I couldn't stop you from jumping on the bed as a rugrat!
Kyle agrees. Then Sheila and Georgia arrive and Gary invites Sheila to join them.
GARY: Hey, come on! Jumping's good for the ticker.
SHEILA: No way.
GARY: Hey, you heard Karl. This bed's gonna be put through its pace.
SHEILA: I don't even want to think about THAT!
Sheila joins them, while Georgia watches in bemusement.

Terese says she has to go because she has an early start. Brad apologises to her for overreacting earlier. She assures him that nothing is going to happen, but that they did have a drink together.
BRAD: OK, so I was right to be suspicious after all?
She says it was a one-off thing and he is going back to Perth, so it shouldn't be an issue. Brad doesn't agree. Terese says she shouldn't have come. Imogen overhears.
(later)
Josh and Imogen talk about their parents and he comments how the night couldn't get worse. Then Amber and Daniel arrive. Amber says that people spending lots of money on dresses and limousines doesn't sit right with her any more. Doug asks Imogen to dance, and she asks him if he thinks her parents will be OK. He hopes so, but says there's a lot of damage.
Waterhole

GEORGIA: "Don't know" is way too long.
SHEILA: She's right. Newlyweds need a new bed.
Kyle and Georgia go off to order food, and Sheila comments to Gary that he looks pleased with himself and he did a good thing. He hopes he can do more, as he's got a lot of years to make up. Sheila tells that it sounds like he's ready to be Kyle's father. He says he is.

Daniel asks Imogen how she's feeling. At first she says she's fine, but he persists.
IMOGEN: All right, you got me. I'm sad. Mum and dad had a huge fight, and every time I look at Pop, I feel like it's the last time he's gonna recognise me.
Daniel says that Doug is a "sweet, solid dude" and she should stay loyal to who he really is. She asks if he knows who Amber is. He admits that she has picked him some stuff from Rain... Imogen says tearfully that everybody and everything is changing. Daniel hugs her and says he's her friend and that won't change.
