Toadie checks that Sonya really did ask Naomi to come back hes wondering if its some kind of a joke. Sonya just looks at him and he accepts it he didnt think she would be so forgiving. Sonya says its not about forgiveness its about his livelihood. Hes a brilliant lawyer but his admin skills are hopeless. He can't afford to be losing clients. As much as it pains Sonya to say it, the business was the most efficient when Naomi was working for him and she knows all his clients. Toadie asks tentatively if shes worried Naomi will cross the line again. Sonya doesnt trust Naomi not for a second but theyre going into this with their eyes open. Sonya trusts Toadie a hundred percent. Toadie asks if she thinks this is the best solution. Sonya thinks it is for now. Toadie asks if she thinks Naomi will say yes Naomis thinking about it and she thinks Toadie should too.
Naomi is telling Sheila its a good job and if the circumstances were different Sheila points out theyre not. Sheila thinks going back there would be a huge mistake. Naomi says of course she would say that. Its not that Sheila doesnt trust Naomi she believes Naomis learnt her lesson but it wont be easy. Its like a person with a drinking problem working in a bar. Naomi thinks thats a bit extreme. Sheila questions that. Naomi points out she needs the work and she can be professional. Sheila says nothing g is worth this Naomi needs to stay away.
Paul comes in. He is concentrating on his phone and bumps into Josh, causing Josh to drop his phone. Paul picks it up and asks whom Missy95 is. Josh says shes a random chick and Paul says shes sent Josh a kiss. Josh explains she wants to hook up but hes not really interested. Paul thinks its a bit harsh just to delete a kiss. Josh explains thats how a dating app works. Paul asks if Josh has had any luck with it Josh has had a few girls interested but hes decided its not really his thing. He thinks hes going to delete his profile. Paul starts to ask something. Josh guesses he wants him to send him the link and agrees to do so.
Kyle answers the door to Karl whom confirms he has the results. Karl has and its definitely not cancer Kyle checks and Karl confirms this. Georgia asks what it is and they sit down. The lump in Georgias throat is a large nodule on her vocal chords. Georgia guesses it will affect her singing. Karl says there are two options she could have ongoing voice therapy which even though it takes a long time will restore her singing voice. Georgia guesses its not guaranteed shell get better Karl agrees. Given the size of the nodule, surgery isnt out of the question. Kyle asks what happens if Georgia goes for the voice therapy option. Karl says theres a possibility it could turn cancerous given her family history so shed have to have regular checkups to stay on top of it. Kyle says she has to have it cut out as her Mum had throat cancer. Karl says hes going to let them talk about it and leaves. Georgia thanks Karl. Kyle repeats she has to have the surgery and Georgia wants to talk about this later. She wants to go out for dinner and have some fun.
Chris asks Georgia if shes not sure about the surgery. Georgia isnt so she doesnt want to talk about it tonight. Nate comes over and says hi. He didnt mean to interrupt them. Georgia invites him to join them but he just wanted to say he was looking forward to the picnic tomorrow. Chris agrees and Kyle and Georgia exchange a look. Chris invites Kyle and Georgia along and Nate agrees. They agree to come along.
Nate leaves and Chris says it was really awkward. Kyle says they didnt notice! Georgia hopes Nate isnt going to be Will all over again Chris is going to have to be alone with Nate eventually. Chris knows that and Georgia suggests he goes by himself tomorrow. Chris disagrees he feels a real spark with Nate and if he gets nervous hell scare him off. Chris says if they are there he can relax and get to know Nate better. Georgia agrees to do it this time and Chris thanks her. Chris wonders if inviting an engaged couple will put pressure on Nate to be more romantic. Georgia disagrees but Kyle thinks it might do. Mark arrives and Chris invites him. He agrees and asks to bring Paige. Chris thinks the more the merrier.
Paul asks Sheila what sounds better business leader or entrepreneur. Sheila thinks they are both hideously pretentious. She asks him what hes up to and he asks if she has a bar to run. Sheila points out he asked for advice she deserves to know what shes helping him with. It must be incredibly important because hes been tapping away on it for an hour.
PAUL: Just because we had a moment in the cool room doesnt mean were all caring and sharing now.
Sheila snatches the tablet off him and realises its Ziva a hook-up app. Paul says she clearly doesnt know what it is as you can select the arrangement youre looking for. Sheila guesses he selected casual hook-ups. Paul doesnt say anything.
Toadie tells Naomi he would really like her to come back and work for him on a trial basis. Naomi isnt sure. Sonya says they know its going to be complicated because of whats happened before but apart from anything else Naomi was a very valuable part of the business. Toadie says the practice ran very smoothly when Naomi was there no one can deny that. Sonya says theyre willing to put the past behind them and start over on a purely professional level if Naomi is willing to do the same. Naomi agrees. Toadie starts to clarify Naomi says it doesnt need to be said but Sonya says it does. Toadie says it wont be like last time. They are lawyer and assistant 9-5, they work together, have lunch separately, go home separately, they don't bring their personal lives to work. Naomi clarifies that she understands its purely professional.
Karl comes to get a glass of water in the middle of the night and realises Nate is over by the window. Karl is startled when he spots Nate. Nate apologises he was having trouble sleeping. Karl asks if hes tried drinking warm milk that always helps him. Nate says it wont help. Karl asks if its something new or if its troubled Nate in the past. Nate says its not new. Karl goes back to bed and Nate keeps looking out of the window.
It is now the next morning Susan tells Karl that plenty of people have trouble sleeping. Nates in an unfamiliar house maybe thats part of it. Karl thinks its more than that and Susan asks what he means. Karl doesnt know. He says it was the way he was standing staring it seemed strange. They greet Mark whom is coming down the steps of his house.
Paige is punching the punch bag. Mark is going to get a coffee and offers Paige one. Paige declines shes off caffeine, at least for today. Mark asks her to stop being so fit and healthy shes making him look bad. She offers to really make him look bad by him putting on the mitts and she whips his butt! Mark laughs disbelievingly and mentions the picnic. She checks he means a picnic with friends she asks if its his way of telling her needs to get out more. He thought with all the family dramas it might be a distraction. Paige agrees to come but if its lame shell make him pay.
Kyle is happy that he got the totem tennis (swing ball in England) for five bucks online. Paige says shes leaving. Mark tries to get her to stay she says that totem tennis doesnt get better with age. In fact it gets lamer by the hour. Mark says she either does this or goes home and does all the chores she loves!
Chris asks Nate if hes done a lot of travelling he says hes been to a few places. Chris says when asked that hes pretty much been here all his life. Chris thinks Nate will enjoy staying with Susan and Karl. Nate comments that they seem really nice. Chris thinks its a coincidence that Nates related to Susan and he runs into him twice. Nate points out that Chris lives next door so the chances of them meeting are pretty high. Chris agrees and Nate is glad they did meet.
Sheila tells Naomi she still thinks its a terrible idea and Naomi still has time to back out. Naomi wants Sheila to stop shes trying to stay positive about this. She could really use Sheilas support. Sheila agrees and Naomi checks she means that she does. Sheila thinks its time Naomi moved back home where she belongs. If Naomi wants a fresh start she should go all the way. Naomi asks if its so that Sheila can keep an eye on her. Sheila admits thats part of it but points out Naomi can come home and have a home cooked meal and a friendly ear. Sheila would like to see more of Naomi. Naomi admits the Mark and Paige show is getting a little bit much. Their Chinese feast Jane Austen marathon was really nice. Sheila asks if shell move back in and Naomi agrees they share a hug. They arrive at Rebecchi Law and Sheila tells Naomi to be brilliant.
Toadie welcomes Naomi back. They agree this isnt easy but theyll make a go of it. Toadie tells her the client list needs updating. He asks her to take the whole day to ease herself back into things. He offers for her to take it home to work from there. She agrees and offers to take some case files to get herself up to speed. Toadie agrees thats a really good idea.
Paul is looking at the dating app Sheila asks Paul if hes lost interest in their accounts already. Paul admits shes caught him out. He says Sheila should see some of the women on the site Sheila says the men are so hot theyre like movie stars. She says she saw one last night and stops herself she admits she hopped online for a look. Paul gives her a knowing look. Paul wonders if it was to distract her from raunchy dreams of Lou. Sheila says Lou isnt the problem anymore.
Sheila calls Josh over. She thanks Josh for putting them onto Ziva. Josh is surprised shes on there. She worries shes a bit old but Josh says its for all ages. Sheila asks for special techniques in picking flames is she meant to be strict with her criteria or sample as many compatibles as possible. Josh says he didnt use the app for that long. Hes going because this is getting weird and laughs.
Sheila says shell pull up her shortlist Paul isnt very enthusiastic. Sheila shows Paul a photo and Paul thinks ones a nerd, one belongs in jail if hes not already there. Sheila asks how Paul got on with his profile. Paul doesnt answer and Sheila asks if he even contacted anyone or if he put up a profile at all. Paul says hes working on perfecting it and asks how Sheilas doing. He asks if shes contacted anyone on her shortlist. Sheila explains she hasnt as she was on the site briefly last night. Shes waiting for the right time.
PAUL: When will that be? 2080?
Sheila thinks theyre both a bit hopeless at this and Paul murmurs in agreement.
Georgia is flipping burgers. Chris and Nate are discussing the Outback. Chris thinks it sounds exciting but Nate says its dusty. Chris has always wanted to visit the outback hiking through the rainforest, sleeping in tree branches hes jealous. Nate wryly says its mission accomplished. Chris asks him to make him more jealous by telling him the best place hes been to. Nate says its hard to pick. He asks Chris if he could go anywhere in the world where would he choose? Chris doesnt know growing up he couldnt imagine living anywhere but the burbs. He met a new friend recently whom lives in New York, Dads family is in Greece. Nate comments hes got a lot of options. Chris guesses he does.
Paige and Mark are playing totem tennis. Paige says the score is three-zip but Mark doesnt remember it like that he got just as many shots as her. She doesnt remember it like that. She appoints herself as umpire so whatever she says goes! Mark thinks its ridiculous. Paige says this is why shes making up her own rules. She sends the ball around once and says thats ten points. She thinks Mark is losing. He tells her to shut up and serve.
Kyle says hes going to play the winner. He offers for Georgia to play the winner. She tells him she wants to have the surgery. Kyle confirms this. She does she gets why he feels so strongly about this and she agrees. Its better to be safe than sorry. Kyle says they can't take the risks. Georgia doesnt want to she just needed some time to process it all. Kyle figured that hes not completely clueless. Sometimes he knows exactly what she needs. She tells him hes the best. Shes glad theyre in this together.
Karl checks that Paul is going to put his profile online. Paul starts to talk about how it sounds Karl points out it sounds like a step forward. Paul is surprised. Karl says a lot of people are worried about putting themselves out there he was but overall it was very positive. Paul might meet a lovely lady stranger things have happened. Karl points out that starting a new relationship can be very stressful. Paul says thats why hes not looking for that. Karl asks what he is looking for. Paul isnt looking for something serious just a friend. Karl thinks friends are good. Paul agrees this as he admires another lady.
Naomi is carrying her boxes into Number 26. She watches Toadie and Sonya get out of the car. Toadie and Sonya chat and laugh with Nell. Naomi texts someone.
Outside Ramsay Street
The someone was Josh. Naomi asks him what took him so long and Josh got here as quick as he could. They go to go inside and Naomi tells him no one can know about this. Josh agrees. Naomi reiterates that shes serious and they share a kiss.
Kyle and Georgia leave. Kyle tells Paige and Mark to bring the totem tennis home theyve been hogging it all day and he didnt get a go. Georgia comments on the flirting and Kyle thinks Chris and Nate are really hitting it off. Georgia says shes talking about Paige and Mark and Kyle did spot it.
Nate thanks Chris for a fun morning and Chris agrees it was fun. Chris suggests they do it again and Nate would like that. A man comes up and asks to have a shot at totem tennis. Paige says theyre in the middle of a game. The man asks for one go and Mark asks him to move along. The man says if they give him shot hell leave them alone. They still refuse and the man tries to get the bat off Paige they fight over it. Nate wrestles the man to the ground. Nate holds him down until Chris and Mark pull him off. The man leaves. Everyone looks at Nate and he says he has to go.
