Erinsborough Hospital
Kyle helps Georgia out of the car, where Karl has her rushed indoors for an ultrasound. Karl promises he'll come and find Kyle as soon as they've determined the problem. Cue a musical montage of Kyle moping about in the car park. Karl eventually emerges again and approaches Kyle, putting a hand on his shoulder and shaking his head sadly.

Inside the hospital, a distraught-looking Georgia tells Kyle she isn't sure she wants to go home. He offers to take her wherever she needs to go.

GEORGIA: Maybe we can just walk.
KYLE: Yeah. Yeah, we can do that.
GEORGIA: I can't believe it.
KYLE: Yeah, me neither.
GEORGIA: The baby's gone.

They walk out of the hospital and down the road, arms around each other.

Charlie's
Terese is working at a table when Brad comes in. Since they've been stressed over Josh lately and he now seems to be improving, Brad suggests he and Terese spend some quality time together this afternoon. She hands him a leaflet she's picked up as an idea for what they can do together; we can't see what's on it, thus no doubt foreshadowing a Hilarious Coincidence. But Brad thinks whatever it is sounds great, and promises to see Terese there.

Callum and Toadie are playing with Nell when Kyle and Georgia come in, but seeing them so happy with her makes their own loss even more tangible, and Georgia disappears off to her room. Toadie realises something's wrong, and asks Kyle what's happened.

Harold's Store
In the kitchen, Lauren tells Matt that she's had a call from Mason, who is loving his new job in Darwin and has got himself a place to live. Lauren admits she's really missing him, but they're both happy that he's finding his feet in life. Matt asks Lauren if she's still up for their mystery date later. She says that of course she is. They agree to meet at the Community Centre later.

Meanwhile, Sonya is at the counter selecting a condolences card for Georgia. Lou is serving, and calls out Lauren to help her choose one. Sonya informs Lauren that it's for Georgia, since she's lost her baby.

No 26
Kyle gets a big hug from Sheila, who's tearful at the sad news. She tells him he'll be a great dad one day, and that maybe this time wasn't Meant To Be™. Chris also gives Kyle his condolences. Kyle says he and Georgia will be alright, as long as they get through it together.

No 30
Sonya is upset about Georgia's baby, and Toadie is comforting her. Georgia comes in and Sonya hugs her. Toadie explains Callum's taken Nell out for a walk, which Georgia immediately guesses was for her sake. Georgia hasn't managed to sleep much; Toadie says Kyle was pretty upset too, but she just looks uncomfortable at this. Sonya shows Georgia the flowers and card they've bought her, and says Lauren has sent her love.

GEORGIA: You know, I woke up, and it took me a moment before it hit me again. I just kept thinking, why? Why did this happen? What did I do wrong?

She becomes very tearful.

GEORGIA: I just - I really blame myself. Because I kept it a secret, and I made it all about Kyle, and I made it all about Kate. And I feel really selfish, because I only should have been thinking about the baby.
TOADIE: You can't think that way.
SONYA: No - no. You know. You know that this is nature's way of saying it wasn't Meant To Be™, sweetie. Yeah? There's nothing that you did or didn't do.
GEORGIA: Oh, god, I've said that to so many women at work. I never thought that I'd be in this position. It sounds really different when someone's saying it to you.

Toadie and Sonya continue to comfort her.

Lassiter's Lake
Lauren sits under the gazebo looking sad. Brad turns up and jokes that she's skiving off work.

BRAD: Thinking about your baby, hey?
LAUREN: ...
BRAD: Mason!
LAUREN: Oh! Yes.

Brad says that when his youngest daughter Piper went to Canada he was equally lost - it changed the whole family dynamic - but he says Piper will be back in a few months.

Brad sits down; he says he knows things have been awkward between the Turners and Willises lately. He's not proud of his recent behaviour but says their friendship means a lot to him, and he's glad they're getting it back on track. He nudges her jokingly. Lauren seems about to say something meaningful, but suddenly decides she needs to head back to work. Brad says she looks as if she could do with a chat, but Lauren insists she's fine, and says she'll see him later.

Georgia is on the sofa when Lauren turns up with a trifle for her.

LAUREN: I lost a baby too.

Lauren explains that it was a long time ago, before Mason was born.

LAUREN: When I was pregnant I had this weird craving for trifle. I couldn't get enough of it. And so when I lost the baby, all I wanted to do was to go back to that happy place. And so I just kept making trifle. And for a moment I could forget. I could pretend like this - this terrible thing hadn't happened to me. Now I know that sounds completely dysfunctional, but it worked for me. Well, for a little while at least.
GEORGIA: I think that anything that helps take away the pain seems completely functional.

Lauren goes to dish up some trifle.

LAUREN: You never get over it, but you do learn to live with it. And after a while, the pain does fade.
GEORGIA: I just feel like there's this gaping hole in my heart. I've no idea what I'm gonna do.
LAUREN: Well, you can talk to me, any time. Or there's Kyle.

Georgia looks uncomfortable again.

LAUREN: You really need to let him in if you can. When I lost my baby, I was alone.
GEORGIA: Matt wasn't there?
LAUREN: Matt wasn't the father. And he still doesn't know about it. The father was out of the picture. I'd have given anything for him to have been there with me. It's just too hard to do it on your own.

They eat the trifle.

No 32
Lauren comes in and makes a phone call to her mum; she explains she's made a serious decision.

LAUREN: I think I'm gonna tell Matt about the baby. And Brad too... I know that, but I think the time's now... Yes, but I'm just not prepared to put it off any longer... Mum, okay, listen, I am not gonna argue about this with you, okay? ... Alright, I will call you when you get home. Bye.

Community Centre
Matt is waiting outside when Lauren pulls up. He reveals that their mystery date is a salsa class! Lauren is not very keen, suggesting they go for a drink instead. But Matt insists, and they go inside.

However, when they get in, they find Brad and Terese are already there. Brad mentions that it's good to see Lauren letting her hair down, since she seemed so down earlier, but she shrugs it off. The salsa teacher, Reno, tells them to take their places and get ready to begin.

BRAD: If only our kids could see us now, huh?
MATT: They'd be horrified.
BRAD: I reckon we should film it and put it online, just to mess with their heads.
TERESE: Sweetheart, no talking of children. That's our first rule of Date Night.
LAUREN: Yeah, it's a good one.

No 30
Kyle comes in with some food that Sheila's made for Georgia. She doesn't look thrilled to see him.

KYLE: This is gonna take time. I get that. But I know we can get through this together.
GEORGIA: We're not together anymore.
KYLE: Yeah, but we can still support each other, together or not.
GEORGIA: We're not a couple anymore. We were only spending so much time together because of the baby. I really appreciate everything that you've done for me, especially today. And I can see that you're hurting. But the baby - the baby's gone. So you shouldn't feel obligated to me anymore.
KYLE: I never felt obligated.
GEORGIA: Look, all I'm saying is that you should go back to your old life, without me.
KYLE: Wait - you don't want to see me?
GEORGIA: No, I'm just - things were complicated, and now they're not. So what I think would be best is if we just dealt with this on our own, with our own families.
KYLE: ... Yeah. Yeah, I get it.
GEORGIA: Take care.

Kyle leaves, upset, and Georgia is upset too.

Community Centre
The salsa class is well underway, but Lauren is clearly uncomfortable. Matt thinks it's just because she's missing Mason, but her face says there's more to it. Brad gets competitive, and he and Terese show off their dance moves, forcing the Turners to up the ante as well. But then Reno tells the class to swap partners, and Brad and Lauren end up dancing together.

BRAD: Here we are again.

Sensing something's wrong, Brad asks again if she's okay, and reiterates the fact that he's glad things are getting back to the way they were between them. He starts spinning her around, and Lauren gets all flustered. She says she needs some air, and rushes outside, before climbing into the car and looking frustrated.

Dial-A-Kyle
Kyle pulls up in his ute and gets out. He approaches the rocking horse he'd been lovingly preparing for the unborn baby, and takes a seat next to it, before breaking down in tears.
