Amber is moaning to Imogen about Josh going to Spain for three months prior to the Commonwealth Games. She stresses that Josh will be hooking up with Penélope Cruz, but Imogen thinks she's way too old for him! Nonetheless Amber is obsessed with the idea that girls will be throwing themselves at Josh while she's not around to stop them.
AMBER: Three months is a long time. We barely manage a week without breaking up.
Don't we know it, Amber. Anyhow, Imogen tells Amber to calm down - this is Josh's life dream, so she should let him enjoy it.

Jacob calls round to see Toadie, having put together some documentation for him for the mediation with Elliott's grandparents. Toadie's out at the moment, so Sonya grudgingly invites Jacob and Elliott in to wait. Going through his late wife Hannah's paperwork, especially today on their wedding anniversary, has brought back some memories for him, and he starts telling Sonya anecdotes about their life together. Realising things are getting a little too deep between them, Sonya cuts the conversation short, and Jacob decides to leave. She promises to pass on the documents to Toadie.

Back from her trip to the coast, Georgia sees Jacob putting Elliott in the back of the car in his carrier, and warns him it's not safe just to leave him on the seat like that. Realising his error, he goes about securing Jacob in the car properly. Sensing he's very distracted, Georgia invites him in for a cup of tea - but he says he's heading to Harold's instead. Georgia watches him worriedly.

Josh comes in, and Imogen congratulates him on his successful swimming trials.
IMOGEN: Now when do I get to make fun of you in your team tracksuit?
Amber stands close by, looking miffed. Terese comes in, and is suspicious that Imogen keeps getting texts from someone - she asks Amber who they might be from. But before Amber can answer, Josh comes off the phone from Mayor Paul, who apparently wanted to congratulate him on the trials - and arrange a photoshoot with him, of course! Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Imogen is secretly pleased to read Isaac's text, asking her to meet up with him later.
Josh goes to embrace Amber, but she backs away from him rather sadly. Despite Amber's denials, he senses something's wrong - but is interrupted by Terese before he can find out what it is.

Georgia fills Sonya in on her trip; she's had a nice break, but says she still couldn't stop thinking about Kyle while she was away.
SONYA: You look refreshed, you're glowing...
GEORGIA: ... Yeah. It's probably just the sea air.
Georgia quickly changes the subject, mentioning about seeing Jacob putting Elliott in the car without strapping him in. Sonya explains it's his wedding anniversary today, and that Hannah's parents are filing for full custody of Elliott - so Jacob's been distracted. Georgia asks if Sonya's going to see Jacob later; Sonya is going to the Australia Day barbecue, but says she's sure Jacob would appreciate Georgia's company instead. Georgia gets a hint that something's wrong there, but Sonya makes excuses and insists everything's fine. Georgia thinks she could use the distraction, so is keen to help Jacob.
Ramsay Street
The good folk of Ramsay Street are combining their Australia Day barbecue with a congratulatory party for Josh's Commonwealth Games qualification. Josh, Amber, Mason, Imogen, Lauren and Matt are among the attendees, and they watch as some aeroplanes belch out a big heart-shaped smoke trail overhead. Josh jokes to Amber that she shouldn't have. She's not in much of a joking mood.
Mason is trying to impress Imogen with the positioning of Josh's congratulations banner, but she's too busy texting to take any notice of him. She suddenly announces that she needs Hermione the car later.
MASON: What for? You can't drive.
IMOGEN: No, but my date can.
Mason looks gutted, just as Amber comes over and forces them to pose together for a photo. Neither of them look happy, and Imogen tells Mason not to even think about putting his arm around her. Once Amber's gone again, Imogen comments on how sad she seems about Josh going away. But Mason's more interested in Imogen's date, and asks if he knows him. She says he doesn't - and that she'll need the car by four.
Callum and Toadie arrive to join the party. It seems that even Callum's not immune to the trappings of Josh's newfound quasi-Messiah status, opining to Toadie that Amber will quickly be superseded in Josh's life by 'groupies and hot swimmers'.
CALLUM: How's he going to resist the temptation? And at the end of it all, it's just going to be Amber crying next door...
Naturally Amber overhears this exchange and sarcastically tells him she'll try to keep the crying down - at which point Toadie gives Callum a disapproving stare.

Matt asks Lou what he's going to do with himself now he's back in Erinsborough. Lou announces he intends to start working at Harold's Store with Lauren. Matt looks bemused, but Lou says he's observed how tired Lauren seems, and wants to do his bit to ease the strain. Lou plans to surprise Lauren with the news, and Matt feigns enthusiasm for this course of action.

Terese has noticed a load of food missing from the fridge, and she and Brad immediately start worrying that Imogen may be bingeing again. They don't want to presume, but decide they need to establish whether she took the food.
Ramsay Street
A game of street cricket has kicked off, and Toadie bowls Josh out. Wicket-keeper Callum notices Amber looking sad across the way, and goes to talk to her, apologising for what he said earlier, but in the process, rather ham-fistedly digging a deeper hole for himself. Amber cuts the conversation short and makes an excuse to head inside. Meanwhile, Mason arrives on the scene, and walks straight into Josh.
MASON: Hey, Joshy. Congrats on getting in the team. It's pretty special.
JOSH: Yeah. Thanks , man.
MASON (leaning in): You hurt my sister when you're away, and I'll hurt you.
Mason gives Josh a friendly slap on the back.

Matt has told Lauren that Lou is planning on working at Harold's with her, and she isn't keen on the idea. She decides she'll have to find a way to let him down gently. Matt adds that Lou said Lauren looked tired, which she isn't flattered about.
Amber, who has been sulking at the table, offers to do some more shifts herself, but Lauren says she needs to focus on school. Amber has different ideas; she wants to save up money so she can go to the training camp in Spain with Josh. Matt and Lauren laugh in her face and trample on her dreams, telling her there's no way she's going to Spain for three months - she has to stay and finish Year 12. Once they're gone, however, she logs onto a website called My Stuff For Sale, looking for an alternative means of making cash.

Terese asks Imogen not to get angry, as she asks her if she had anything to do with the disappearing food from the fridge. Imogen looks guilty but insists she didn't take the food, and proves she's eating normally by grabbing a sausage from the barbecue. Terese is concerned that Imogen always seems to be distant and on her phone, but Imogen assures her she is fine - before getting another text and hurrying off.

Josh comes in to moan to Amber about Mason threatening him, but sees she's busy selling all her clothes on the internet. He asks her what's going on; Amber explains she wants to make money so she can come to Spain, claiming she could be the official team photographer, and complete her studies for Year 12 online. Josh is sceptical that it could work, saying he'll have to spend all his time with the team, and Amber looks glum. He quickly surmises that she doesn't trust him, and she admits she's worried he'll be tempted by the women's swim-team. Josh tells her she's being ridiculous, and she storms off.

Amber comes crawling back to Josh, saying she can only make enough money by selling her clothes to get to Wagga Wagga, never mind Spain. She apologises for freaking out, and Josh reassures her that she's insane if she thinks he'd ever look at anybody else. They agree it's not practical for her to come to Spain, but Josh does want to find a way for her to come to Glasgow with him for the Games. They kiss.
Harold's Store
Georgia catches up with Jacob and Elliott, and asks if she can join them. Soon, she's confiding in him about how she told Kyle he could move on with Kate if he wanted - but that she's not sure she's ready to move on herself. Avoiding telling Jacob about the pregnancy, she asks how things are with him. He admits it's his wedding anniversary; Georgia admits that she knows, and that Sonya sent her to keep an eye on him. Jacob smiles sadly.
Ramsay Street
Amber and Josh rejoin the party, as Imogen is busy texting her 'study partner'. Amber correctly surmises that Imogen's new study partner is a guy, and demands to know all the details.
Meanwhile, Toadie is telling Brad about how Jacob is in the process of setting up the new juice bar at the nursery. Brad needs some electrical work doing at the gym before he leaves for Spain with Josh, and Toadie promises to give him Jacob's number. Sonya is unusually quiet during the exchange, looking increasingly uncomfortable with every mention of Jacob.

Imogen is about to raid the fridge again to get more supplies for Isaac whom she texts to say she'll meet in five minutes. Terese comes in and catches her rummaging in the fridge. Imogen makes out that she was just getting a drink, and Terese insists she believes her. Terese proposes that the two of them watch a movie together, but is insistent despite Imogen's attempts to get out of it. In the end, Imogen's forced to agree to stay in with Terese, but doesn't look happy about letting Isaac down.
Ramsay Street
Jacob arrives with Elliott. Sonya makes excuses to go inside as he approaches, but doesn't get away in time. Toadie explains how they've just lined up some work for him at the gym with Brad. Jacob asks if he's looked at the paperwork for Elliott's custody case - Toadie says he hasn't yet, and goes to fetch Jacob a beer.
While he's gone, Jacob thanks Sonya for sending Georgia to look after him, saying it shows he hasn't totally ruined their friendship. But Sonya tells Jacob that as soon as the custody proceedings are over, he has to leave them alone. Toadie returns with the beer, and Jacob makes his excuses to leave. Toadie feels bad for not looking at the paperwork yet, and decides to go and do it.
SONYA: No - I need to tell you something.
TOADIE: What's wrong?
SONYA: Something happened with Jacob.
TOADIE: Did he say something to upset you?
SONYA: It happened a few days ago... Jacob kissed me.
Toadie does his angry-face.
