Ramsay Street
Georgia runs into Kate, who's on her way to No 26. She claims she's come to pick up some clothes - but Georgia's sceptical, and starts walking off.
KATE: Georgia, I miss you.
GEORGIA: So?
KATE: Look, you have to know that I didn't do this on purpose.
GEORGIA: Do what exactly? Sleep with Kyle, or write that email?
KATE: The email. I wrote it, but I didn't print it. I had no idea - I would never do something like that.
GEORGIA: Just leave me alone.
KATE: Georgia!
GEORGIA: No - we're not friends anymore. And we never will be.
No 26
Kate relays what happened to Chris. He thinks Georgia will calm down eventually, but Kate doubts she'll ever speak to her again. She's decided to stay at Paul's for the time being, adding that she thinks Kyle blames her for what happened at the party. Chris asks if Kate is ever going to tell Kyle how she feels about him, but she says it would complicate things - and she claims she wants Kyle and Georgia to be together.
Kate asks Chris if he could keep an eye out for Georgia, since she's spending all her time with Gem; Kate thinks she needs a real friend. Chris is feeling guilty about not having told Georgia what he knew about Kate and Kyle, however. He's contemplating telling Georgia that he knew all along, but Kate things this would cause more harm.
Erinsborough High School
Kate arrives, and speaks to Bailey in the corridor - she was surprised to find his latest assignment wasn't in the pile.
BAILEY: I didn't do it.
KATE: Why not?
BAILEY: Because I didn't feel like it.
Kate asks if he's unwell, or if something's going on. But he insists not, and Kate gives him a detention as punishment. Imogen watches with concern.
In the office, Kate finds Susan struggling with a stapler and helps her; Susan explains she's not going to be in work this afternoon. Kate asks if anything's wrong, and Susan says not at first, but then decides to tell Kate why she'll be away. However, they're interrupted by Kate's mobile ringing - it's Paul, wanting him to help her with his electoral campaign. Susan decides not to say anything after all, and Kate leaves her to it.
Charlie's
Mason is getting an order for a guest when he runs into Georgia, and shouts her a coffee. Georgia says she's fed up of people asking her how she is after the whole Kyle/Kate debacle, but that she doesn't mind talking to Mason about it, since he's in the same boat.
However, Mason isn't as upset with Kate as Georgia is - he points out that they weren't together at the time she slept with Kyle, and that Kate feels terrible about it. Georgia doesn't buy his assertion that it didn't mean anything, saying they've both had feelings for one another in the past, and aren't the sort to have one- night stands. Nonetheless, Mason says he's trying to move past it, and that he's sure Georgia will too. Georgia stomps off, deciding against the coffee after all.
Erinsborough Hospital
Outside, Karl is plying extras with election literature when Susan comes out of the front entrance, with a paper bag which she hides from Karl when she sees him. He asks what she's doing here, and she lies, saying she was hoping they could go for a coffee together - but Karl has to get straight back to work. Once he's gone inside, Susan takes out the bag and looks worriedly at the prescription medication inside.
Harold's Store
Josh and Imogen come in; Josh offers to shout Imogen, in exchange for some advice. Josh tells Imogen that he's back together with Amber, but of course she's already aware of this, since it's all Amber's spoken about all day.
IMOGEN: I'm actually surprised she hasn't issued a press release yet.
Josh wants to buy a present for Amber, but isn't sure what to get her. Imogen suggests jewellery, a romantic dinner and a mix tape - but these are summarily dismissed as too predictable, easy and cheap, respectively. Imogen cryptically tells Josh that he should buy Amber something for the person she wants to be.
JOSH: Meaning?
IMOGEN: She's your girlfriend. Figure it out!
Mason walks past with a coffee, and Imogen tries to get his input on what Josh should buy for Amber, but Josh suddenly gets embarrassed and interrupts Imogen, flatly telling Mason he doesn't need his help. A bemused Mason walks off.
IMOGEN: You didn't have to be so rude.
JOSH: I'm not gonna ask that guy for advice!
IMOGEN: Why not?
JOSH: Cause he's a tool! I'll never understand what Kate or any other girl would ever see in him.
Imogen looks upset.
Erinsborough High School
Susan is having another mini- relapse in her office. Kate rushes in, and asks what's wrong.
A few minutes later, Kate fetches Susan a glass of water, as she recovers from her episode. Susan tells Kate not to worry; she's only having a mild MS relapse. She explains she's been to see the neurologist, who's given her some meds to control it.
Susan insists she'll be fine, but asks Kate not to say anything to anyone else - especially Paul, because of the election. Kate promises, and asks what Karl thinks - but Susan is forced to admit she hasn't told him because he's so caught up with the mayoral election. Kate tells Susan she has to tell Karl, but she insists it can wait until after the election.
Harold's Store
Imogen is reading a low- brow magazine, and Mason calls her on it when he comes back in to collect some keys. Imogen explains she's thinking of getting a new haircut. She also says Josh is coming back, and apologises for the way he spoke to Mason before, explaining that all the chlorine has affected his brain.
Imogen asks after Bailey, telling Mason that she saw Kate giving him a detention. Mason's surprised, as Bailey's never in trouble - but wonders if it might have something to do with the older girl Bailey's into. Imogen says it's Gem, but Mason thought it was an older student - perhaps Imogen, as she was looking 'cute' at the dance. Imogen's flattered, but warns Mason that it's definitely Gem that Bailey's into - she saw them holding hands, and thinks there's something dodgy going on. Mason looks worried and promises to have a word with Bailey.
No 32
Mason confronts Bailey about Imogen's claims, but Bailey denies he has a crush on Gem. Mason's not buying it; he says Gem's hot, but bluntly suggests Bailey go for a girl his own age.
BAILEY: Look, Gem is not hot. In fact she's perhaps the ugliest person I know, and I hate her.
MASON: Relax, I'm trying to help.
BAILEY: Yeah, well no- one asked you to.
Ramsay Street
Chris is helping Georgia with her shopping, and notices a leaflet on nursing overseas; Georgia explains she's considering applying for it, as Gem's keen to go, and it's something Georgia's always wanted to do. Chris tells her to think carefully before she makes a commitment, and Georgia says she will. She thanks Chris for always looking out for her.
Chris takes the opportunity to tell Georgia that Kyle only came to her gig the other night because he loves her, and that he's hurting too. He suggests Georgia could talk to Kyle, but she's very against this idea - saying she's fed up of people defending him. She adds that for all she knows, Kyle and Kate could have secretly been seeing each other for weeks or months. Chris insists that they weren't - explaining that he knew about their night together straight after it happened. Georgia's gutted and furious, saying that Chris was supposed to be her friend and should have told her. She stomps off, saying she doesn't have any friends left on Ramsay Street. Chris looks guilty.
Harold's Store
Josh comes in and joins Imogen - he's bought Amber a top- of- the- range camera, to help her further her photography career. Imogen takes one look at the price tag, and says...
IMOGEN: You guys did it, didn't you?
JOSH: What? Why would you say that?
IMOGEN: You totally did!
Imogen thinks it's great that Josh is showing Amber he's serious about her, but then looks glum. Josh asks her what's up. She says she wishes a guy would do something so nice for her. She says she's happy being single, but doesn't want to be this way forever.
JOSH: You're my sister, so it's my job to tell you how annoying you are. But you're pretty cool, and you're smart. And when you don't screw your face up like an angry little sock- puppet, you're actually kind of pretty.
Josh insists there's a guy out there for Imogen right now.
JOSH: He's probably sitting in some café, memorising the Australian constitution, or something - just wondering when he's going to meet you.
Charlie's
Mason runs into Kate, who's trying to avoid going to one of Paul's campaign events. She asks if Mason wants to hang out sometime. He says he would, confirming they're doing the 'whole friends thing'. Kate mentions that Bailey hasn't been himself lately. Mason reveals he knows Bailey's got a crush on Gem, and Kate says Gem's bad news - Bailey had to be moved out of her class. Kate also confirms she had to give Bailey a detention today. Worried, Mason heads home.
Harold's Store
Karl and Susan come in - he wants to have dinner here, so that he can hand out leaflets at the same time! Susan's really not feeling up to it, but Karl's oblivious. In the end she has to tell him she's going home, and he kisses her goodnight, before going straight back to his electioneering.
No 32
Mason is questioning Bailey again. Bailey tells him to 'stop trying to be Dad', but Mason's determined to get to the bottom of Bailey's involvement with Gem.
MASON: Bailey, Gem is a teacher. She shouldn't be messing with your head like this.
BAILEY: Yeah, but it's my fault. I'm the one that stuffed up.
MASON: How?
BAILEY: I can't say!
MASON: Come on Bailey, this is me you're talking to. I practically wrote the book on stuffing up. I'm worried about you; if you don't tell someone, it's only going to get worse.
BAILEY: Look, I broke the law, okay? And now Gem's blackmailing me.
