Charlie's
Kyle and Kate try to explain. Georgia says it wasn't from where she's standing.

GEORGIA: (To Kyle) Gem made a pass at you and you didn't tell me.

Kyle is confused and Georgia explains that Gem told her everything. Gem didn't know whom Kyle was so she tried it on. Kyle agrees. Georgia says Gem genuinely made a mistake so she doesn't have a problem with her but Georgia has a problem with Kyle and Kate. Kate doesn't understand why this is and Georgia says it's because they didn't tell her. Kyle explains that Kate didn't have anything to do with it as she only just found out. Georgia wants to know why Kyle didn't tell her as they're supposed to share stuff. Kyle says he wanted to say something. Georgia says that Gem explained everything. Gem wanted to tell Georgia but Kyle didn't want to. Kyle can't believe what he's hearing. Gem checks if there's anything else she should know about. Kyle says there isn't. Georgia says she has to go and meet Gem and leaves.

No.26
Kyle is wondering if she should have done more to defend himself. Kate points out they know why they didn't. They made one mistake months ago and now Kyle feels like he deserves everything coming. Kate points out it doesn't explain what Gem did. They work out that Gem thought they were going to say something about what happened with Kyle and Gem. They were going to but Gem got in first and made herself look innocent. Kate realises it sounds so manipulative - maybe it's not as malicious as that. Kyle thinks it seems pretty calculating. They both thought for a moment that Georgia knew what happened between them. Kyle asks if Kate thinks about it very much. Georgia finding out is always in the back of Kate's mind. Kyle says he can't help thinking about it. It would hurt Georgia so much which is why she can't find out - she won't.

No.30
Callum is watching the TV. Susan has come over to find out how Gem to find out if she's all set for tomorrow. Gem can't wait. Susan asks if Gem has any questions about the syllabus but Gem has it sorted. Gem has read it cover to cover and it all makes sense - it's more or less the same as her last school. Susan has to get back as if she isn't there Karl will use every pot in the house. Susan hopes Callum's assignment is going well. He hurriedly assures her it's going great and returns to it. Georgia returns and Gem asks if everything's cool with Kate and Kyle. Georgia explains they're both really sorry. Georgia checks if they said anything else as she dropped them in it. Georgia says Gem did the right thing as they should have told her. Georgia can understand why they didn't and Gem comments they care about Georgia just as Gem does. Georgia's so happy that Gem's here. Gem suggests they hang out just the two of them tonight. Georgia thought Gem had reading to do but Gem doesn't. She checks if Georgia has plans. Georgia thought of going to see Kyle as she feels guilty about going off at him before. Gem says Gem hasn't done anything wrong and Georgia realises a girls night is just what she needs. They are going to kick Callum off the couch which Callum isn't too happy about.

Outside Harold's Store
It is the next morning. Brad, Imogen, Amber and Terese are sharing a table and Lauren brings their coffees. Lauren asks Imogen and Amber how they're feeling about their work experience. Imogen thinks it will be great with Toadie going to court, visiting clients and doing research. Lauren remarks Imogen is keen and Imogen is really looking forward to it. Amber agrees with forced enthusiasm. Lauren asks what she will be doing. Amber says she thinks she will be in reception, whatever Terese wants her to do. Terese says she'll go far with that attitude. Brad heads off as he has to meet the guys coming to fix the stepper. Brad asks Imogen if she'll do work experience with him and fill out all the paperwork for the insurance company. Imogen refuses and Brad leaves. Imogen leaves next and Terese wishes her good luck.

Lauren checks if Amber needs any money for lunch so Amber tries to stop her. Terese says her lid is broken so Amber offers to get her another one. Terese remarks that Amber is keen. They agree their girls are growing up so quickly. Lauren thanks Terese for clearing the air and backing her up with Amber. Terese remarks the Mums need to stick together. Amber comes back with a new lid. Terese says if Amber keeps it up Terese will have to keep Amber on the payroll and they all laugh. Amber and Terese head off.

Law Office
Toadie explains his assistant is away. Imogen will need to answer the phone. If she doesn't know anything, take a message and Toadie will get back to them. Toadie gives Imogen some archiving which should take the best part of a week. Imogen checks if there's anything else. Toadie says there will be a coffee run, data entry and the stationery cupboard if she feels up to it. Toadie has a client coming in today so he would appreciate it if Imogen would tidy up his office. Imogen was hoping she could help him out with some casework, maybe come to court and see him in action. Toadie explains he won't be heading to court this week. Imogen thought she'd get to see what it's like being a working lawyer.

TOADIE: That's easy. I can sum it up in two words - coffee and paperwork.

He has the paperwork sorted so he tells Imogen his coffee order is a latte. She does not look impressed.

School Hallway
Susan tells Gem that Callum's class have their assignments due this morning. The Year Elevens start their Geology presentation at the end of the day. Gem checks what presentations they were again. Susan says they were outlined in the syllabus. Gem sounds as if she knows what Susan is talking about when she clearly doesn't! Susan says she is going to talk to Frank.

Kate arrives and asks Gem if she's ready for her first day. Gem says she can't wait to get stuck in. Gem apologises if last night was awkward - she just wanted to clear the air with Georgia. Kate admits it was awkward if she's honest. Gem apologises again - she thought Georgia already knew about Kyle and her so she just wanted to explain. Kate points out Gem told Kate to keep quiet because Georgia didn't know. Gem explains Georgia kept asking what was going on and Gem assumed she was across it. Kate - who is annoyed by now - checks what Gem told Georgia. Gem told Georgia it was all Gem's fault. Kate explains that Georgia thinks that Kyle told Gem to hush it up. Gem denies doing that. Apparently Georgia was so annoyed with Kyle she just heard what she wanted to hear. Gem tells Kate not to worry - she'll smooth it out. Susan arrives to escort Gem to her first class and Gem heads off.

Classroom
Callum tells Josie McKay he's going to so flunk this. She points out he was working with Bailey. That is Callum's point. Bailey comes in and Josie asks how he got on. Bailey reports he smashed it. Josie agrees he would - he's awesome at this stuff. Bailey says he finds it fun. Callum says it's pathetic. Susan introduces Gem as Miss Reeves - the new Science teacher. Miss Reeves will be marking their assignments so hopefully they'll all have them ready to hand in. they shouldn't forget e even though it was a team effort they will be marked individually for the work they did. Callum looks apprehensive. Susan tells Gem to tell her if there's anything she needs and leaves.

Gem tells the class she's looking forward to getting to know them. Some of them think Science is a drag and she's looking to change that perception. Callum wishes her luck and Josie laughs. Gem asks her name and Josie gives it. Gem has heard of her - she's Callum's friend. Callum explains she's hot Josie - he means a different Josie. Gem says as Josie is so enthusiastic she can collect all the assignments.

Office
Imogen brings in the drinks. Toadie asks Eric (the guy who fell at the gym) if he would mind if Imogen sat in - she's doing work experience this week and she's keen to observe. Eric agrees and Imogen thanks him. Toadie asks Eric to tell him what happened. Eric explains he was working at the Dingoes Gym. Imogen cottons on as Eric explains he was using the stepper and he hurt himself. Toadie asks Imogen to man the front desk as they might get a call. Imogen says she can hear the phone from here. They could get a walk- in so Toadie would prefer her to be at the front desk. Imogen leaves. Imogen listens in as Eric says the stepper was faulty and the manager hadn't put a sign up. He knew the cable was broken but he just left it there. Eric checks with Toadie that it's negligence. Before they go further Toadie needs to tell Eric he knows Brad. Eric asks if it's a problem and Toadie says it could be a conflict of interest. It doesn't bother Eric as long as Toadie does a good job. Eric shows his physio report. His back has been in agony. He can't sleep, he can't work - he wants compensation. He wants Toadie to let him know if he wants the case. Toadie will look at the file and be in touch. Eric leaves.

Toadie tells Imogen she's meant to be manning the front desk. Imogen says Eric is lying - her Dad would never be negligent. Toadie is sure she's right but either way he can't talk about this with her.

General Store
Toadie is sitting at a table. Susan comes over with her coffee and asks how Imogen is doing on work experience. Toadie says it's fine and Susan asks if something has happened. Toadie brushes it off saying it's work stuff. Susan sits down and waits for Toadie to elaborate. Toadie explains there is a potential new client but Toadie is friends with the person they want to sue. Susan checks if she should be scared and Toadie laughs. He's not at liberty to say! Susan realises Toadies reluctant to take it on as he would be up against his friend - Toadie agrees. Susan points out she can't treat a student or teacher differently as she knows them outside of school. Toadie checks that he should take it on. Susan can't tell him what to do. This person is going to sue whether or not he is the lawyer. This way he gets to see that it's done fairly. Toadie realises if Tim got hold of the case the friend would be a lot worse off.

Imogen has come in. Susan heads off, telling Toadie she knows he'll do the right thing. Imogen can't believe Toadie is seriously considering this. Toadie invites her to sit down. Toadie reminds her that everyone has the right to representation. Imogen points out that Brad is Toadie's friend. Toadie says he doesn't feel great about it. Eric would be suing the gym, not Brad. The gym is covered by public liability. Toadie reminds Imogen she's signed a confidentiality agreement so whatever Toadie decides to do she's not allowed to talk to anyone about this. Imogen agrees.

Erinsborough High
Susan asks Kate how she found Gem this morning. Kate reports that Gem seemed keen. Susan suggests Kate lends Gem some support this week and let Susan know if there are any problems. Kate agrees and asks if Susan's worried about Gem. Susan feels that Gem hasn't familiarised herself with the syllabus and she just agrees with everything. Susan tells Kate not to worry about it as it's just her - she's overreacting or maybe not. Susan checks if Kate needs to tell her something. Kate says Gem is a nice girl but isn't entirely upfront sometimes. Susan asks for an example but Kate explains it's personal stuff. There are other people involved so it's not really her place. Susan accepts that but will want to know if she needs to be worried. Kate is sure Gem will work it out.

No.22
Toadie tells Brad he has thought long and hard about this and decided to take it on. Toadie wanted to tell Brad face to face. Brad's boss will be getting the heads up so Toadie says Brad can give his boss the heads up. As it's going through the insurance company it could get awkward for Brad. Toadie apologises and Brad says it's not Toadie's fault - he's just doing his job. Toadie tells Brad that Imogen has naturally had a reaction to this so Toadie thinks she should do her work experience somewhere else. Brad understands Toadie's concern but he knows how excited Imogen was about working with Toadie. Brad asks if there is any chance she can stay. Toadie agrees and says he'll keep Imogen as far from it as possible. Brad thanks Toadie - he appreciates it. Toadie leaves. Brad rings someone about the incident report and tells them the guy is going to sue.

Hotel Reception
Terese asks Amber if the hospitality industry is something she wants to get into when she leaves school. Amber agrees - Terese asks what area she wants to work in. Amber hasn't really decided. Terese realises Amber doesn't know. Terese asks what subject Amber enjoys at school. Amber says she does really well at studio art. Terese tells Amber she should be focused when she thinks about her career. Amber says she doesn't have to decide now as she's only seventeen. Terese agrees but points out the sooner Amber sets some goals the sooner she can set about achieving them - that's what she tells her kids. Amber realises they talk about it a lot. Terese confirms they do a lot and says that Amber must have discussed her future with her parents. Amber has and Terese asks for the results. Amber she wants to be like Terese. Terese suggests if Amber wants to make management she needs to make her way up like Terese did. Otherwise Amber can explore some courses which will fast track her career.

Classroom
Gem arrives and gets the class to settle down. She has marked the assignments - not many of them did very well. They have a lot of work to do for the rest of the term. With her help she's sure they'll make it - even those whom are texting during class. Gem doesn't appreciate that. Josie asks for her phone back. Gem isn't going to return it till she sees what is so important. Gem reads a text Josie was sending to Darren about flunking Science. The class laugh as Josie isn't impressed. Gem congratulates those whom did well and tells those whom didn't to not get disheartened. She implies Josie would have done better if she did less texting. She tells Callum he did good work. Callum is in disbelief at his great score. Bailey got an A- .

No.32
Lauren is working at the table as Amber arrives home. Lauren asks how work experience went. Amber says it went ok. When asked to elaborate, Amber explains that she doesn't think Terese is very happy with her. Terese says Amber lacks focus. When Lauren checks this, Amber admits it wasn't in those exact words. Terese is surprised Amber doesn't have any goals. They talk about career goals all the time in the Willis household and wants to know why they don't do that in the Turner household. Lauren looks unsure how to answer this. Amber asks if Lauren doesn't think she's smart enough. It's not that - Lauren and Matt didn't want to put pressure on any of them. All of the children are capable of finding their own paths. They'll love and support them no matter what. Amber thinks she should have some direction by now. Imogen wants to be a lawyer and Josh has wanted to be a swimmer since he was five. Lauren points out Amber shouldn't compare herself to them. Lauren tells Amber that not everyone knows what they want by the time they leave school. Even though they didn't ask about all this it doesn't mean they're not interested. Amber agrees and thanks Lauren.

No.22 Backyard
Brad tells Imogen that Toadie did the right thing but Imogen is doubtful. Brad explains the insurance company will sort it. Terese tells Imogen she has to let Toadie do his job - it's not Imogen's job to get involved. Imogen says she'd better get back. As Imogen leaves Terese asks if it's true they have nothing to worry about. Imogen lingers as Brad explains he spoke to his boss. The insurance company may not cover it as Eric is claiming he didn't put a sign up so the insurance policy doesn't apply. Brad explains he put the sign up and it disappeared. The gym could get sued, they could sue Brad and he's personally liable. Eric is asking for £500,000 - Imogen looks shocked as she leaves.

Law Office
Imogen tells Toadie that Brad could be out of work. If Brad and Terese have to pay damages they could lose everything. Toadie understands that this is hard for Imogen but this is part of being a lawyer. They need to clearly divide the personal from the professional. Imogen can't believe that Toadie can't see Eric is a conman trying to make money. Toadie needs her to let him do her job. If Imogen wants to stay here, she needs to keep her distance from the case. He asks if she can and she agrees. He needs to get to a meeting and wants Imogen to start archiving the files. Toadie leaves. Imogen goes into Toadie's drawers and looks at the compensation file from the drawer. She photocopies the file.
