Previously on Neighbours
- Amber caught in two minds over Robbo being in hospital.
- Lucas discovering what happened to Robbo.
- Chris curious to know what happened to the money they gave Robbo.
- Lucas with a cash box full of money.
- Chris subtly quizzing Georgia on what was found in Robbo's possession when he was admitted to hospital.
- Josh trying to get out of swimming as he has bruised ribs.
Brad arrives home unaumsed at his son not turning up for the time trial. Josh apologises to his father for the no- show but that isn't doing it for Brad and makes his displeasure know to his son, who then quickly escapes as soon as he can after reassuring his dad that he does still want to swim.
Karl and Matt discuss some of the bruising that is starting to come out on Robbo as to where it was obtained but they won't be able to get a clear picture of what happened until he wakes up.
Josh quickly covers his pain (his right hand hurts) when Amber spots him in the store and asks how the time trial went. He replies that he didn't go but doesn't say why, instead asking her about how she's doing following what has happened to Robbo. Amber explains that she is having difficulty putting it all into words.
Paul tries to wind Lucas up about the forthcoming auction of #32 before tempting him again with buying the house for the same offer as before (he mentions he's freed up some capital). As the offer is less than what they owe on the house, Lucas rejects the offer and hopes to do better at the auction. Paul adds in that he will bid at the auction but his opening bid is going to be way less than what he's just offered.
Josh is in serious pain after doing some weight lifting and Brad wants to know what is wrong and after he sees the bruising wants to know how it was obtained. ‘I slipped coming out of the pool,' is Josh's excuse but Brad isn't buying it and Hudson (who is also in the changing room) pipes up to offer a cover story – they got into a fight and it got out of hand. Josh is stunned at what Hudson has said as Brad chases after him (Hudson) to quiz him more.
Karl spots Amber standing outside in the corridor watching Robbo and suggests she sits by his bedside to give him some company other than the police. Hesitantly she does that and seems to get a lot off of her chest about how she feels about him – he won't change and that she is angry at him for hurting her…
We then get a flashback to Amber seeking out Robbo trying to get the mobile phone off him and is told she can have it if she spends the night with him “for old times sake.”
AMBER: I didn't want you to get away with what you did to me but I didn't mean for it to happen like this.
Commercial break later and Brad has dragged Josh to the hospital to get checked out. Karl doesn't believe him that he was only hit once and sends the lad off for an X- Ray. Josh tries to dissuade is dad from waiting but he is and admits to Karl that he is going to get to the bottom of what happened.
On the way to X- Ray, Josh passes Robbo's room and is unaumsed to find Amber sitting there after everything Robbo has done to her and their conversation earlier.
JOSH: What's the point in trying to help you when you're just going to keep running back to this scumbag?
Amber protests that she hasn't run back to anyone but Josh has had enough and walks away so she can go tend to Robbo.
Amber is moaning to Chris about what happened with Josh. He tells her that Josh knows about the video and gets why Josh reacted like he does because he still has feelings for her and suggests that since she has feelings for him too they can fix it. Amber fears it's beyond fixing,
AMBER: I've ruined everything; he won't want to be with me now.
Kyle spots Lucas lurking around the station and startles him. Lucas' excuse for being there is seeing someone hanging around and wanted to make sure it was okay, which Kyle buys.
Vanessa and Lucas leave hospital again and she tries to reassure him about the auction, that they will get a decent price. Lucas has had other thoughts and suggests they move to the country instead. “It would be a big change!” she comments and Lucas tries to sell it to her – watching their growing kids from the veranda playing. “That would be the ultimate dream,” she replies and then reminds him of what is currently on their plates but gives him some hope that they may be able to do that in a couple of years.
Hudson appears at the gym reckoning he's given Brad enough time to cool down/sort things out with Josh but Brad is still highly strung and wants details. “I just snapped,” is Hudson's explanation but the lack of bruising on Hudson puzzles Brad but Josh interrupts to say he missed with the punch he threw and asks for everyone to move on. The boys (paraphrasing) kiss and make up enough that Brad buys it and he leaves after telling Josh he managed to get another date for him to swim and he'd better not let him down!
“I owe you one,” Josh tells Hudson when they are alone. He also confirms that it was Robbo who caused the damage and Hudson wants to know what he was thinking! “I had to make sure he deleted the file,” is Josh's explanation and is “complemented” on is ‘great plan'!
JOSH: I wanted to make sure Amber was in the clear but instead he gave me this.
HUDSON: If the cops find out about this.
JOSH: They can't! And neither can dad.
JOSH: Look, I know you don't own me anything but I didn't do it. I didn't run him down. You believe me right?
HUDSON: Yes. Yes, I believe you.
JOSH: So you're not going to say anything?
HUDSON: I promise.
Hudson has told Chris about Josh's injury and that they need to keep quiet. “You can't cover him for something like this,” is Chris' reply as well as adding that he needs to tell the police. Hudson reiterates that he believes what Josh told him and equally Chris doesn't think that is a good enough reason to keep quiet.
HUDSON: Look, I know you're worried but if Josh goes down, we all go down. The whole story will come out and we need to back each other up.
Number 32 back yard
Kyle is round to do some work on the house for the forthcoming sale. He offers Amber his sympathy for what happened to Robbo and she remarks that he's the only one because of what Robbo did. In her reply she also mentioned that Robbo was running dodgy card games from the old radio station, and coupled with Kyle remembering he saw Lucas hanging around there earlier, causes him to suddenly leave the property.
Vanessa is coming up with a way to save money – she has a home birth with Sonya as her doula! He doesn't quite picture it the way she does but their conversation is interrupted when Kyle arrives wanting a word with him.
The pair retreat to a quiet corner and Kyle wants to know exactly what he was doing at the radio station. “I told you,” is Lucas' reply but Kyle asks again after adding in that he knows about Robbo's dodgy card games.
