On a country road
Mason is muttering about Robbo while trying to fix the car. Imogen asks if he's going to break his good behaviour bond, which won't help fix the car. He tells her to chill.
IMOGEN: If I were any more chilled, I'd freeze. Aren't you cold.
MASON: What, are you offering to keep me warm?
She scoffs, and he tells her he used his jacket to soak up the petrol. She gets a signal, and wants to call Roadside Assist. Mason is offended that she thinks he can't fix it, so she agrees not to, but sneakily decides to ask her mum to.
Terese and Brad are having a drink, and Brad points out that Terese has got a call.
On a country road
Imogen is desperate for her mum to pick up.
Brad asks if she is going to check who it is, but Terese says she won't break the rules of date night.
On a country road
Imogen is upset when the call goes to message bank.
Brad is impressed that she didn't take it. He gets a call, and sees that it's from the Dingoes. Terese tells him not to, but he insists it might be important. She tells him to trust his staff. He says she's right. Then he finishes his drink, and goes for another, taking his phone with him. Terese shakes her head in disbelief.
On a country road
It's dark now, and Imogen can't believe her mum didn't pick up. She gets through to Roadside Assist, and her phone dies. She wants to find a pay phone, but Mason says that someone will drive past soon. She says that only two cars have driven past since they've been there. She asks if he really thought Robbo was trying to blow him up.
IMOGEN: Isn't that a bit extreme?
MASON: Not for Robbo.
He says Robbo is trying to scare him so that he won't testify. She asks if it's working.
MASON: I just want him to go away.
Imogen says that Kate is an idiot for cancelling on him. Mason disagrees, saying Kate is too good for him. Imogen says he's not a total idiot and in the right light, he's not that bad looking. Mason laughs, and says he loves Kate, but he wishes he knew what was going on with her. He says Kate would freak if she knew they were talking about her. Imogen promises not to say anything (although maybe a tweet #mopeymason) Just then a car drives up, and stops at Imogen's signal.
Toadie has sung Nell to sleep. Sonya locks the door. Toadie thinks this is odd.
TOADIE: These deadlocks are getting a workout this week.
SONYA: I know that everybody in this street thinks it's perfectly normal not to lock their doors, but I like to go to bed knowing that my family is safe.
TOADIE: Robbo's not stupid. He's not going to come near us again.
SONYA: He wasn't supposed to come near us at all.
Toadie says that Robbo could claim coincidence once, but a second time. He understands why she's concerned, but the whole street are looking out for them.
TOADIE: I doubt that he'll mess with you after you went all Clint Eastwood on him.
Toadie says he'll do anything to protect her, Callum and Nell, and does a Clint Eastwood impression for good measure. Sonya looks reassured.
Mason marches in, and tells Lauren, Bailey and Amber that he'd been out with Imogen and the car broke down, because Robbo messed with it. Amber is dubious.
AMBER: Why would he do that?
BAILEY: Because he's a psycho, and that's totally the sort of thing a psycho would do.
Mason says that Robbo's trying to intimidate him and Sonya to stay out of jail. Lauren reminds him he's on a good behaviour bond, and calls Matt.
Brad is massaging Terese's feet, which he apparently owes her for calling work during their date.
TERESE: You break the rules, you have to pay.
He says it was one call, but she says if he breaks the rules, there will be no dates, and no more what comes after. He's going to throw his phone away. They kiss, and Imogen comes in and tells them to go somewhere private. Terese informs Imogen she was telling Brad off for making a work call. Unimpressed, Imogen asks if they got her messages, saying she and Mason were stranded for ages. Brad turns it around, asking why she'd gone out without permission. Terese apologises, and Brad promises they'll pick her up next time. For some reason, the both find this amusing and Imogen goes off, annoyed.
Kyle and Georgia are cuddled up on the sofa and Georgia wants to call Kate. Kyle says she's probably gone to bed. He adds that Kate's been talking to Sheila. If there's something wrong, she will talk to them when she's ready.
Kate and Bossy are lying on the couch when Mason comes in. He wants to check up on her. She says she's fine, just tired. He suggests that he might stay the night, and she says she wanted to be on her own. He wants to know why. She repeats that she's tired, but he says he feels like she doesn't want him around. She denies it, saying they don't have to be together all the time. He says he's hardly seen her.
MASON: Do you even want to be with me?
KATE: Yes, of course I do.
He points out that she cancels their dates, doesn't answer his calls, and asks if she's seeing someone else. She says no, but she needs him not to be here. Upset, he leaves.
Georgia comes over and finds Kate packing a bag. Kate explains that she's going over to Paul's to have a shower, as there's no hot water. Georgia says she can come to No 30, then says she knows something is wrong. She asks if Kate is relieved she's not pregnant, which she is. Kate starts by saying that she and Mason had a fight, but then admits that's not it.
Toadie is saying goodbye to Sonya and Nell before he goes to work, when Sonya sees Robbo. Sonya says she's fine, although not very convincingly. Robbo gets a text and walks off. Toadie offers to walk Sonya to work. Meanwhile Mason confronts Robbo and accuses him of tampering with the fuel line. They push each other around a bit, and Robbo denies it was him.
Kate has told Georgia about her diagnosis, saying that telling her earlier would have made it too real. Georgia asks about what Karl said about having kids: Kate says it would be nearly impossible. She says she feels like she's being punished for thing she's done that she's not proud of. Georgia assumes she's talking about Brennan, and says it was one night.
GEORGIA: It's not even like his girlfriend found out.
KATE: Yeah, but that's the problem. I keep feeling like I need to tell her.
KATE: Because it's the right thing to do.
GEORGIA: For who? For you? Him? Her? Like, it happened once. I think it's best if you just pretend it never happened.
Kate says it's not easy, and Georgia insists she's not being punished, she's just going through something really crappy. And she's going to be with her every step of the way. Kate nods tearfully.
Mason asks Lucas about the car. Lucas tells Mason he used a coolant hose instead of a fuel hose.
MASON: You're saying this was my fault.
Mason says he saw Robbo looking under the bonnet, but Lucas tells him to tell his dad he was responsible.
Georgia has brought round a "care package" for Kate, including chocolate and chick flicks. She has also brought some medical books / leaflets. She's read that for woman with premature ovarian failure, with the right hormone treatment, there is a 2.5% chance of pregnancy through natural conception and higher with IVF. Kate looks a bit freaked out and Georgia says she thought Kate would feel better with all the info. Kate says she has to stop pretending, and it's good. Georgia recommends a specialist and Kate says she doesn't deserve Georgia, who agrees.
Nell is playing on the floor while Sonya is working at the table. There's somebody at the door. It's Toadie, and Sonya picks up Nell and goes to take the chain off. Toadie's concerned that she's hiding at home, rather than working at the nursery. She claims that she was planning to work at home anyway and she was just going to post some letters. He says he'll stay at home while she goes out. She looks worried.
Bailey brings a coffee for Imogen, and then tells Amber it's her turn to serve. Amber asks Imogen what she and Mason talked about. She says they argued about the car and the cold. Amber asks if that's all that happened.
AMBER: I mean he used to run out of petrol all the time in Mt Isa, deliberately.
She says they have history, but Imogen says they never even kissed and points out that Mason has a girlfriend so the discussion is irrelevant. Amber says she's worried, but Imogen insists nothing happened. Brad comes in, and Amber goes off to start work. Brad sits down and says he and Terese feel terrible for missing her calls.
IMOGEN: Keep talking.
BRAD: Well, and we know you don't feel like you're a priority right now, but you and Josh are the biggest things in our life. Much more important than jobs or date night,
He passes her a present, a phone charger for Hermione, so that she won't get a flat battery. Imogen comments drily that she probably will, knowing Hermione. She thanks him.
Lucas and Mason come in and Amber asks if they've fixed the car. Lucas says they've got a bit to do because Mason made a rookie error. Amber's annoyed with Mason, who says that he had grounds to suspect Robbo.
AMBER: Maybe you should get your facts straight before you start blaming people for your own stupid mistakes.
Sonya pushes the pram cautiously through the complex, asking Nell if she's being silly. She spots that the postman has just emptied the boxes, and yep, now she's being really silly. She runs after him, leaving the pram (and Nell) behind. She asks him to take the post. At first he says no, then changes his mind, getting her to write the post code on one of the letters. Sonya turns to go back to Nell… except that the pram has disappeared. Sonya desperately calls for Nell.
