Previously on Neighbours
- Robbo attempts to charm Amber, and goads Mason into punching him
- Tests suggest Kate isn't pregnant, but she's still experiencing some unusual symptoms
- Robbo turns up at No 30 to intimidate Sonya into retracting her statement
No 30
Toadie is keen to get down to the police station straight away, to report Robbo's behaviour from the night before; but Sonya is making excuses not to go, afraid that Robbo will take some sort of revenge. Toadie tells her that by approaching a witness he's broken his bail conditions, and could be locked up until his court day. Nonetheless, Sonya's worried about what he might do when he gets out, recalling the way he looked at Nell.
TOADIE: He wants you to be scared, so that you won't report him, so that he can continue doing what he does, and get away with it. Do you want another family to go through this?
SONYA: No.
TOADIE: I hate this too, believe me. I would do anything in my power and more to protect you guys. But right now we have to do this the right way.
Police Station
Sonya and Toadie have arrived with Nell, to explain what happened with Robbo to Matt. Sonya recalls how Robbo said "cute kid", referring to Nell, and said it was the way he said it, rather than what he said, that spooked her so much. Matt agrees that it sounds as if an implied threat was made, but that because it wasn't explicit it's difficult for him to do much. He can arrest and charge Robbo for breaching bail, but he might just plead ignorance, so doesn't want Toadie and Sonya to get their hopes up that he'll be locked away. He says there is a chance, however, and advises them to call him if Robbo comes anywhere near them again.
No 26
Kate tells Kyle she's going to the hospital with Georgia, for the results of some more blood tests she's had. She says Georgia dragged it out of her that she might be pregnant, adding that she's been a really good friend; they both feel guilty. Kate says Georgia thinks the hypothetical baby was either Mason's or Brennan's. At that point Georgia shows up and the girls leave together.
Erinsborough Hospital
Georgia sits in the waiting room while Kate waits for the specialist. Of course it's not a specialist, but Karl, who arrives with her results. He says that the blood tests would have picked up even trace amounts of HCG, the hormone which is a telltale sign of pregnancy; but that Kate's results show none at all, meaning she isn't pregnant. However, Karl thinks that if her cycle is normally regular, there might be something else at play, such as stress. Kate says she has been stressed, but that her body also feels different - as if it's telling her there's something wrong. Karl decides to run further blood tests, but says he's sure there's nothing to be concerned about.
No 30
Callum is going to hang out with Bailey at the Kennedys' while he babysits Holly, but Sonya is worried about Robbo and tries to persuade Cal not to leave the house. Cal refuses to lock himself away, and tells Sonya he can look after himself - he's almost sixteen. Sonya warns him to be careful.
No 28
While Holly is surreptitiously painting her nails on the couch, Cal moans to Bailey about how overprotective Sonya's being - but Bailey warns him that Robbo's bad news, and she's right to be cautious. Bailey adds that he wouldn't be surprised if Robbo threatens Sonya again, and Callum goes into macho mode - deciding someone needs to tell Robbo to back off. Bailey says Robbo's crazy, but Cal replies that his real dad Troy was crazy too, but he stood up to him. Bailey begs Cal to leave it to the police, but Cal has made up his mind. At this point, Holly spills the nail varnish all over the couch, much to the boys' annoyance.
Lassiter's Complex
Amber is sitting on a bench waiting for Clay to drop off her phone, when Josh turns up to say hello. He says he's been meaning to call her, and begins to apologise for how things turned out between them - but at that moment, Robbo emerges from the police station, and Amber hurriedly leaves, asking Josh to text her and leaving him looking disappointed.
Outside the station, Matt tells Robbo to stay away from the Rebecchis in future, saying he'll arrest him for intimidating a witness if he does it again. Robbo thinks it's all highly amusing, as the magistrate let him off, but Matt says next time he might get one that isn't so gullible. Amber watches them talk from a distance, and blanks Robbo as he walks past. She then speaks to Matt, asking if she can borrow his phone as Clay hasn't turned up. Matt explains that Robbo has been intimidating Sonya, and asks if he's harassed Amber too - but she assures him not.
Matt goes inside, and Robbo watches from the bushes as Amber rings Clay on her dad's mobile. Clay is just walking towards Lassiter's on his way to meet Amber, and Robbo intercepts him, hearing the phone ring. He takes it off Clay, and tells him he'll see that Amber gets it. There's a brief altercation, as Robbo makes himself out to be Amber's guardian angel after Clay left her to walk home alone; Robbo tells Clay to get lost, and he does.
A few seconds later, Josh texts Amber's phone, saying: "Hey Amber. I know it's been weird. Do I still have a chance?" But Robbo deletes the text, before pocketing the phone.
No 32 (back garden)
Amber tries to call her mobile again from the house phone, and leaves a message for Clay, asking him to call her. She turns around to see her mobile phone on the table, and it starts ringing. She goes to answer it, and it's Robbo on the other end - but he suddenly appears in the garden! Amber's freaked out, so Robbo explains he offered to deliver her phone on Clay's behalf. He tells her she looks good, but Amber's keen for him to leave, saying Lauren will be back soon. Robbo says he wants to hang out with her, but Amber says he just used her - and demands to know why he's been intimidating Sonya. Robbo claims he was looking for Toadie as a lawyer, and had no idea Sonya lived there. Robbo adds that if he had it in for the Turners, he would have reported Mason to the police for punching him.
ROBBO: I'm not here to make trouble. I never stopped caring about you. I love you.
But Amber tells him to leave, and pushes him back down the path.
Harold's Store
Kate and Georgia raise a latte toast to Kate not being pregnant, but Kate's concerned at what else the blood tests might indicate. Georgia reassures her it's probably just stress, and goes to order mud cake. Kyle comes in, and Kate tells him she's not pregnant, but she admits there's other 'girl stuff' still going on.
No 28
Susan is admonishing Holly for ruining the sofa.
SUSAN: You went into my room without asking, you took my nail polish without asking...
HOLLY: How could I ask you when you weren't here?
Susan asks Holly to help clean up the mess, just as Sonya arrives with Nell, looking for Callum. Sonya tells her that Bailey and Cal rushed off as soon as she got home, but doesn't know where they went. Worriedly, Sonya explains about Robbo, but Susan says they can't have gone far. However, Holly tells Sonya that she overheard Bailey and Cal saying they were going to find Robbo. Sonya panics and rushes off, leaving Nell with Susan.
Lassiter's Complex
Callum is stamping around looking for Robbo, with Bailey still trying to talk him out of it. But Cal has spotted Robbo, and marches over to confront him.
CALLUM: Hey! You!
ROBBO: Well who's your little friend, Bailey?
CALLUM: Look, you stay away from my mum. You got that? You're going to jail for what you did, and there is nothing you can do about it. So leave her alone.
Robbo pleads ignorance, but Cal persists, calling him a loser. Robbo stands up, telling him that's not very nice, and suggests he run along before he makes him really upset. Cal says he's not scared of him, at which point Sonya turns up and rushes towards them, telling the boys to get away from Robbo, and shouting at him to stay away from her family. Taken aback by her fervour, Robbo walks away.
No 30
Toadie has a word with Callum, saying he knows he was trying to protect Sonya but that he shouldn't have gone after Robbo, and that from now on he must stay away from him. Cal agrees, and apologises for making things worse. Toadie tells him Robbo will be locked away soon, and Cal wishes the police would hurry up about it.
Harold's Store
Clay is talking to Amber, and mentions that Robbo was 'going all psycho' over Amber earlier when he took her phone off him. Clay admits that what Robbo said about leaving Amber in the middle of nowhere got him thinking, and is oddly insistent that she apologise to Robbo on his behalf, before leaving (without thinking to apologise to Amber). Matt comes in for a coffee, but while he's waiting, Robbo texts Amber a picture of himself. Matt asks who texted her, and she lies and says it was a friend from school.
Lassiter's Complex
Outside, Robbo spots Josh walking past, and tells him he has a message for him from Amber.
JOSH: Who are you?
ROBBO: Her boyfriend.
JOSH: Right. Well she didn't tell me she had a boyfriend.
ROBBO: Well she does. And she wanted me to tell you that she's not interested in you.
Quoting Josh's own text message back at him, Robbo says Amber agrees "it's been weird", and to give it up, as he doesn't have a chance with her. Robbo takes another creepy selfie outside Harold's, and sends it to Amber.
Harold's Store
Amber looks pleased to receive another picture of Robbo, then quickly hides her phone before serving Matt.
No 26
Georgia is playing her quitar on the sofa, and Kyle asks her what the song's about. She implies it's about him, and Kyle starts singing his own version!
KYLE: When I met a guy named Kyle, I knew it would take a while, To meet a guy as mega- hot as him.
Kate comes in and jokes about Kyle's singing; Georgia replies that if they formed a band, he could learn to play the triangle instead. Georgia asks how Kate's doing, and she says she's fine - she's just going to do some schoolwork. She goes into the other room, and Kyle asks if she's okay. Georgia says she is. However, in the kitchen, Kate gets a text from Karl, asking her to come and get her test results as soon as possible.
Erinsborough Hospital
Karl is doing his 'grim reaper' face, which means he's about to deliver terrible news - and sure enough, when Kate comes in, he tells her that her symptoms aren't stress- related.
KATE: Well, what is it?
KARL: It's not good news, I'm afraid.
Such bad news, indeed, that Karl can't bring himself to deliver it before the credits roll.
