- Josh breaking the news to his dad that he's joining up with Don Cotter.
- Rani telling Callum about the kiss with Bailey.
- Callum fighting with Bailey.
- Callum telling Rani if she wants to be with him then she can't talk to Bailey ever.
Number 22
While Josh is at the pool, Brad moans to Terese about Josh dumping him in favour of Don Cotter. She seems happy enough with their son's decision, which doesn't go down well with Brad. "I just get a bad feeling from the guy," he tells Terese and she reminds him that no decisions will be confirmed until they meet to chat with him.
Harold's
Don explains to Brad/Terese what his plans for Josh (who is also there) that will take him to the next level. He suggests to them a possible sponsor for Josh to help with the costs and before leaving hands them a contract to look over.
Number 30
Toadie comes home to find Sonya a bit down after a call telling her about the death of an old friend. Their attention is then drawn to Callum who is intent on returning anything borrowed from Bailey because he can no longer be friends with him after what happened with Rani.
Number 22
Despite what she said to Brad earlier, Terese is now trying to persuade Josh to keep his father on as his coach. Josh pleads with his mum to let him change to Don so that he can make the Australian team.
(Later)
Terese does as requested and tries to get Brad to agree to Don being the coach.
TERESE: Just don't let your ego get in the way of your judgement, that's all I'm saying. And no matter what Josh has said, he'll never do this without your blessing.
She urges him to sign if the contract looks fine.
Number 30
Brad heads over to Toadie's to see if he can look at the contract to make sure there is nothing iffy in it. He admits to Toadie that he's worried if it doesn't turn out as Josh hoped.
Harold's Store
And new look store again - the blue paint of last week has gone and instead the walls are now painted a cream colour.
Rani unloads to her dad about the situation she's found herself in but his advice (after she seems to be talking a lot about Bailey) is to tell Callum she has feelings for Bailey. She is quick to deny that but Ajay doesn't exactly believe her! He does warn her though in case it blows up in a big way.
Sonya's nursery
Sonya is telling Lucas about this friend's death (Catherine from her bad past) and is feeling guilty about not going to the funeral. He thinks if someone was to accompany her to the funeral, that might change her mind, and when he volunteers, right enough she does change her mind about going.
Number 22
Toadie comes over with a verdict on the contract - its okay but does suggest that Josh has a get out clause inserted (if Don isn't up to scratch) like he has with Josh.
Harold's Store
Brad has dropped in for a coffee and unloads his woes to Lauren while he waits for it. She asks how he got into coaching and he explains that when the kids came along he couldn't take off for a surf, but Josh loved being in the water and the coaching developed when he saw how good his son was. Lauren's words of wisdom to him (reminding him that he's a good dad/her woes with her kids) seem to have worked and he leaves in a positive frame of mind.
Number 22
After a trip down memory lane (looking at his own trophies/medals) Brad signs the contract.
(Later)
Josh is chuffed when his dad shows him the signed contract. They also agree that it's up to him whether he wants the escape clause inserted or not and Terese reminds him also that if his marks suffer that signals the end too. The lad then sincerely thanks his dad for all his help (to date) and the pair embrace each other warmly.
"When will you ever learn that women are right about everything!" Terese tells her hubby after he explains who helped him change his mind.
Charlie's
Sheila offers her assistance to some older guy who is looking for someone that may live locally but he wants to search first then come back to see if she can help.
Sonya's nursery
Cal isn't amused to see Rani looking at a photo of the 3 of them and wants her to delete it. Sonya calls her over and tells her to not to do what Callum says, he's got to get over what happened himself, and for her not to let what happened rule her life.
Sonya then gets a text from Lucas to say he'll be round in 10 minutes to pick her up for the funeral and it now looks like she doesn't want to go.
Harold's Store
Josh takes a sharp intake of breath when Don hands over his training schedule - he's going to be hitting the ground running. They then start talking about the contract and Don doesn't seem too chuffed when Josh raises the issue of an escape clause and thinks it means Josh doesn't have the confidence in him. Josh quickly backtracks and reassures Don that he's committed and signs on the dotted line.
(Later)
Sonya meets Lucas in the store to tell him that she isn't going to the funeral now, she's changed her mind - she doesn't need to go to the funeral to pay her respects. "The past is the past and that's where it belongs. I've moved on," she tells him before wishing him well for his treatment and leaving the store.
When she exits the store, the older guy who was talking to Sheila in Charlie's, suddenly puts down the paper and leaves the store.
Tomorrow on Neighbours
- Bailey/Mason talking about girls and how they work.
- Mason wanting a straight answer from Kate.
- Kate doing (another) runner after spotting Kyle/Georgia pashing.
- Callum catching Rani chatting to Bailey.
