Charlie's
Lou gets a call from Lucas with the good news about Patrick. He then starts chatting to Pete the new barman who is complaining about the uniform being too small for him and Lou's twigged why! He then has a minor accident (a cut in his forearm) and Lou volunteers to hold the fort (Sheila is on a break) while one of the groupies still in the bar volunteers to take him to hospital.

Hospital
Karl checks Pete's arm out and decides it need stitches so calls Georgia into the room to assist. Pete has gone all starry- eyed and begins chatting Georgia up, who is none the wiser until Karl points this out to her (they've gone outside the room as she forgot to re- stock the stitches kit). He then decides to send her home slightly early because it's her birthday and heads back in alone to sort Pete out.

Number 30 driveway
Georgia comes home to find Toadie packing up the car. The family are heading to Colac as Angie has had a fall and needs to be taken care of, so apologises for not being able to the birthday meal with her.

Lassiters Complex
Toadie asks Kyle if he can step into the breach and keep Georgia company on her birthday. He's more than happy to enlist the troops to help make that happen.

Lassiters gardens
Kyle has told Chris/Kate of his plans and with lots of persuasions gets them on board. He asks Kate if she can be the one to ask Georgia because the boys fear she won't go if they are the invitees.

Charlie's
Kate makes a reservation with Lou and runs into Mason on the way out. He tries and fails yet again to get her to go on a date with him!

Mason chats to his grandfather about the Kate situation - he isn't surprised at him failing to get a date because he's a boofhead! He does give him advice on how to achieve his mission - find out what is happening in Kate's life to show he cares.

Number 30
Kate comes over with flowers and to invite the birthday girl out but she seriously doesn't want to go (and is already in her PJ's). However Kate isn't taking no for an answer and eventually wears Georgia down so that she agrees to come to Charlie's.

Number 22
Kate is talking to one of the boys telling them that she's persuaded Georgia to come.

Mason drops by to give Kate a CD containing some of Sophie's music as he figured she'd be missing her little sister (part of the hint Lou told him). She's happy stunned at the gift and invites him to join Georgia's party.

Harold's Store
Vanessa has to point out the obvious to Georgia too when Pete comes in and mentions about seeing her at the bar some time. "He's not even hot!" she pleads but is told to go enjoy herself and have a cocktail or three for Vanessa to celebrate Patrick's good health.

Charlie's
Georgia stands by the door (Chris/Kyle haven't spotted her) ready to back out when Kate arrives. She pleads that she doesn't want to be here and despite Kate doing her best to persuade her to stay, she runs out of the bar. Kate goes over to where the boys and the birthday cake are waiting and lies to them about Georgia not being there because she was called into work.

Hospital
Karl has finished doing a check up on Lucas and has found a lump in his testicles, which Lucas hadn't previously noticed. He won't commit to an actual diagnosis until he gets the various test results back but urges Lucas to tell Vanessa. Lucas refuses to because he doesn't want to worry her unnecessarily at this stage.

Lucas then joins Vanessa in Patrick's room and the pair dream about the things they will do when they finally get him home. She then asks where he was and he replies sorting out some paperwork, and again she remarks that she will be glad to soon never to have to do any more paperwork/see the inside of a hospital/have hospital food.

VANESSA: I can't believe we finally get to take him home Lucas. We can finally say goodbye to all this. I've been carrying on like a lunatic today.
LUCAS: It's nice to see you happy.

She then asks where his smile is and he replies that he is smiling on the inside and pulls her to him for a hug.

Charlie's
The party is like a wake without the birthday girl being there. Kyle is packing up the cake and asks what they can do with it and Kate suggests giving it to her tomorrow but he's got another idea up his sleeve and quickly exits the bar with the cake.

Kate/Chris are getting ready to leave too when Mason comes in. They explain why they're just about leaving but he asks them to stay for one more but Chris has had enough and leaves them to it. He winds her up that it was just a ploy for her to have a drink with him! Mason is full of charm and you can't quite tell on her face when he Mason goes to get them drinks if she's bemused or amused with him!

Hospital
Karl is on duty when Kyle arrives looking for Georgia and discovers that she hasn't been called back in for another shift.

Harold's Store (next day)
Georgia apologises to Kate for bailing on the party, telling her that she was simply exhausted due to working lots. Kate still thinks its Scotty related but Georgia dismisses that, so she tells her to call Kyle because he was cut up about her cancelling. She then tells Georgia about Mason showing up and that they had a great time.

KATE: He's a really nice guy.
GEORGIA: He's not nice, the guy from the post office in nice, Mason's more like charming right? Smooth, the kind of guy who could sell ice- cream to the Eskimos.

Kate pleads again that he's too young, which Georgia refuses to accept, and gets it out of Kate that she does like Mason... just a little bit!

Number 26
Mason is dead to the world, sleeping in his room when some scantily dressed female climbs into his room through an open window. She then takes her shoes off and creeps onto the bed lying down beside him, spooning him! After a few seconds Mason suddenly comes to and literally falls out of bed!

MASON: Rhiannon!
RHIANNON: Hello lover!
MASON: What are you doing here?
RHIANNON: I'm here to pick up where we left off of course!

- Rhiannon getting reacquainted with Mason!
- Amber quizzing her brother.
- Kate being introduced to Mason's girlfriend!
- Kyle coming to the conclusion that Georgia is avoiding him.
- Chris pleading with Georgia to let him help her.
