Erinsborough Hospital
Sonya comes in to see Vanessa, who's holding Patrick. Vanessa says he's getting stronger day by day - but she still can't believe the doctors want to operate on him. When Sonya remarks that everyone's there for Vanessa, especially Lucas, Vanessa admits that Lucas told her she should be with Rhys. Vanessa says she doesn't know how she feels about Rhys but that at least she knows where Lucas stands. Sonya tries to persuade her not to jump to conclusions, however, they're interrupted by Nell crying for a feed outside, and Sonya reluctantly cuts the conversation short.

No 28
Tash and Andrew are back from their romantic trip down the coast, and already Andrew's back into business mode, blowing off a day with Tash in order to have a meeting with Paul. When Tash complains, Andrew reminds her that they've just spent the last few days together - and promises he'll be back soon. As he leaves, Chris turns up to find out how their trip was.

CHRIS: So, candlelit dinners? Moonlit walks? Am I warm?
TASH: We didn't even leave the room.
CHRIS: What, not even once? Well, that can still be fun, right?

Tash says it was awesome, but her tone leaves Chris unconvinced.

No 32
Sonya comes in to see Lucas; she can't believe he told Vanessa to be with Rhys. Lucas asks Sonya what Vanessa told her and, correctly assuming she didn't declare her undying love for him, says this justifies his decision to take himself out of the equation. Sonya protests that he should still leave his options open, but Lucas says that Rhys loves Vanessa, whereas he isn't a contender - and he's fed up of it messing with his head.

Harold's
Kyle comes in and bumps into Georgia. He says he hopes he wasn't out of line asking about her relationship with Scotty last night - Georgia assures him otherwise, and says she spoke to Scotty after their chat, and that they're now back on track and better than ever. She rushes off to work.

Tash comes in and sits down with Andrew. Paul has asked Andrew to audit all the assets of the Erinsborough News before the new owners move in, and Andrew wants Tash to help. She doesn't appear thrilled at the idea, but Andrew says Paul will let them have the honeymoon suite at Lassiter's for the night if they get it done, so their romantic holiday doesn't have to end yet. Tash goes a bit quiet, and Andrew asks her what's up - but she eventually says she's fine and agrees to help.

No 30
Toadie gets home from work, and Sonya reminds him that they'd booked Lucas in to take some professional photographs of Nell today - but that was before all the worry about Patrick's condition. Toadie wonders if they should just do the photos themselves, but Sonya's more interested in talking about Lucas and Vanessa. She reminds Toadie that Lucas is in love with Vanessa, but doesn't want to tell her, etc, and Toadie asks why Sonya's getting involved.

SONYA: Because this is a classic case of two people who should be together, but they're not communicating.
TOADIE: Has Vanessa actually told you that she wants to be with Lucas?

Sonya admits that Vanessa hasn't said so in so many words, but that she's reasonably sure it's not just one- sided. She compares them to ships in the night, saying that if nobody guides them together the moment could be lost forever. Toadie warns Sonya that if she interferes, she could end up ruining everything - and that Vanessa getting back together with Rhys is just a risk Sonya will have to take.

Erinsborough Hospital
Vanessa watches Rhys working in his office, before entering. She gives him a cheque for the $23,000 that he donated to Patrick's fund. He tries to deny it was him, but she asks him not to make it harder - she doesn't want him hanging onto some kind of hope that they'll get back together. Rhys admits his timing was off, but says he'll wait until Vanessa is ready to resume their relationship. Vanessa, however, doesn't want him to wait.

VANESSA: Rhys, I don't love you.
RHYS: ... You don't mean that.
VANESSA: You were there for me when I needed someone. And you were amazing. And I'm sorry if I took advantage of that; I honestly didn't realise it at the time. But I don't love you. So you need to get on with your life. Because I need to get on with mine.

She leaves, and Rhys looks forlorn.

Erinsborough News
Andrew and Tash are doing the audit; Andrew has already identified a laptop and iPad that have gone missing, under Bradley Fox's name.

ANDREW: Such a jerk.
TASH: Summer knows how to pick them.
ANDREW: Hey, she picked me. And you picked me too.

Andrew kisses Tash, remarking that it's pretty funny how he and Tash have ended up together again. Tash doesn't respond - she's too busy reading a printout of an email that she's found in Summer's old desk. It's from Andrew.

ANDREW: Hey, Sum. Thanks for last night. I can't believe we spent a whole eight hours talking. I have never been able to do that with a girl before, so I know we're the real thing. I love you. Andrew.

Tash looks over at him sadly.

No 26
Rhys looks sorrowfully at the engagement ring he gave to Vanessa. Kyle comes in, telling some work anecdote, but notices Rhys is quieter than usual. Kyle begins to get the picture about what's gone on between Rhys and Vanessa, but gets a text about an emergency job and has to run off. Sheila comes in, and tells Rhys he's wasted enough time on Vanessa - there'll be lots of other girls lining up to date him, she says. Rhys isn't convinced, but Sheila quickly tells him that Georgia has a thing for him, echoing the conversation she overheard between Chris and Kyle. Rhys is mildly surprised, but still glum.

No 30
Lucas turns up with his camera to take the baby photos. Toadie says he doesn't have to, aware of the circumstances, but Lucas says he'll be fine as long as they drop the kid gloves.

Erinsborough Hospital
An innocent observation from Georgia, about one of Rhys's patients saying he was handsome, confirms in Rhys's mind that Georgia has a crush on him. In a spontaneous bid to get over Vanessa, he asks if Georgia wants to go out for dinner with him this evening, then maybe go on somewhere afterwards. Taken aback, Georgia reminds him she has a boyfriend, and Rhys walks off, telling her to forget it. She follows him, angrily telling him that he can't just assume she would have cheated on Scotty. Rhys admits that Sheila has been telling him Georgia likes him, and asks if they can forget it happened. But Georgia is furious, and demands to know what gave Sheila that impression.

Lucas takes pictures of Nell, while Sonya and Toadie continue to discuss the situation with Vanessa. Sonya asks if Toadie could talk to Lucas, and encourage him not to give up on Vanessa. Toadie doesn't want to get his hopes up unnecessarily, and again tells Sonya to leave well alone. At this point, Lucas tells Sonya and Toadie to join Nell so he can take some snaps of them as a family. However, as Lucas watches them fussing over Nell, he starts getting emotional, thinking of what he can't have with Vanessa and Patrick. Noticing, Toadie and Sonya tell him they have enough photos, but he insists on finishing the job.

No 26
Kyle's fresh out of the shower when Georgia bangs at the door. She demands to know whether he's been spreading it about that she's into Rhys, telling Kyle that Rhys just hit on her. Kyle concedes Sheila might have overheard him talking to Chris, and that he thought there was a vibe between Georgia and Rhys. This is why he tried to talk her into patching things up with Scotty, he says - he didn't want her to get involved with Rhys, given the whole situation with Vanessa. Georgia's furious that Kyle interfered - and despite his apologies, she tells him to stay out of her life, before leaving the house. Kyle looks despondent.

Lassiter's Complex
Tash tells Chris about the email printout that she found in Summer's desk, and he realises she's upset about something. Tash explains that although she really liked being whisked off for a hotel break by Andrew, she's realised along the way that she wants something more. Tash says Andrew and Summer had a very deep and meaningful relationship, but that with Andrew and Tash, the physical side of their relationship seems to be more important - hence her annoyance that they never left the hotel. Chris says Tash needs to be honest with Andrew, and that she might even be surprised by his reaction.

Georgia walks past, and lays into Chris for his part in the conversation about her liking Rhys. For his information, she doesn't find Rhys remotely attractive, she says, before walking off in a huff.

No 26
Kyle tells Sheila off for telling Rhys about Georgia supposedly liking him. Sheila says she was just trying to boost Rhys's ego, and wants to know why Kyle got it so wrong. Kyle explains that Georgia was putting off spending time with Scotty and that she told Chris they'd been having problems. Kyle admits he got it wrong but says Sheila shouldn't have interfered. Sheila comments that he seems to be spending a lot of time worrying about Georgia. He says he doesn't want her to get hurt, but Sheila asks if that's all it is. Kyle is incredulous when Sheila suggests he might have a thing for Georgia, and assures Sheila they're just mates - he doesn't even like Georgia in that way. But his expression and the musical score suggest there may be more to it...

Erinsborough Hospital
Sonya is back to stick her beak in yet again, telling Vanessa they need to finish their chat from earlier. Vanessa says she's told Rhys it's definitely over, and Sonya asks if the timing of her decision might have anything to do with Lucas. Vanessa denies it, but Sonya presses the issue and asks her how she feels about Lucas.

VANESSA: Lucas is Patrick's father.
SONYA: That's not what I asked. Look, I've tried not to get involved - to a certain extent - and I've been debating whether or not to say something. I just don't want Lucas to get hurt.
VANESSA: Neither do I!
SONYA: Yeah, but you need to know that the only reason he's backing away is because he thinks you want him to. He's in love with you, Vanessa. He always has been.
VANESSA: Well why can't he just tell me?
SONYA: Because he's scared that you'll reject him.

Sonya says that if there's any chance Vanessa feels the same, she needs to let Lucas know before he gives up on the whole situation.

Later, Lucas turns up to see Patrick and Vanessa. She sits down next to him, and eventually asks Lucas if he's in love with her.

LUCAS: What?
VANESSA: Are you? Lucas, I need to know.
LUCAS: ... Yes.
VANESSA: Why didn't you ever say anything?
LUCAS: Because I figured you didn't feel the same way. You were with Rhys, you'd said yes to his proposal... How do you feel about me?

Before Vanessa can answer, fate intervenes, and Patrick's heart monitor begins bleeping dramatically. Georgia rushes in to examine him and realises his oxygen levels are dropping. The situation's serious, so she presses a buzzer and asks for immediate backup.

Monday on Neighbours
- Lucas tries to keep Vanessa outside as the nurses try to help Patrick; Rhys turns up and says he needs to go to the operating room
- Paul tells Susan she may get to keep her job if she plays her cards right with the new owners of the newspaper
- Callum sees a mysterious woman at Lassiter's, and recognises her from the Ramsay Street reunion video
- Karl tells Toadie he's made some decisions...
