No 26
Rhys is ironing - which Kyle doesn't do - and Kyle thanks him for helping out at the barbie. Rhys says it's fine - it was for Patrick. Kyle says it must be weird seeing Vanessa at the hospital now they've split up. Rhys says they're not split up, they're just not engaged. She needs time and space to focus on Patrick, but after that, they'll get back together. Kyle is deep in thought as Chris comes in, asking for the cash they raised. Kyle fetches it, then tells Chris that Georgia has no chance with Rhys as he's still in love with Vanessa. Chris points out that Georgia has a boyfriend, and besides Rhys is not her type.

No 32
Lucas is packing a bag for Vanessa when Lou arrives, laden with shopping bags. Lucas asks if he got in touch with Lauren. Lou answers unconvincingly that everything's fine, and swiftly changes the subject, asking Lucas how things are with him and Vanessa. Lucas smiles, saying they're good. He gets a call from her, and Lou looks pleased as they are obviously getting along well. Lucas tells Lou that she has been amazing. Lou replies that Lucas appears to be doing a good job of supporting her, but Lucas says he has it easy. What Vanessa's doing takes guts.

Hospital
Sonya arrives, bringing a present for Patrick and tea for Vanessa. She offers to get anything Vanessa needs, but she says Lucas is sorting everything out. She doesn't know how she'd cope without him.

VANESSA: We're very lucky to have Daddy, aren't we?

Harold's
Karl comments to Susan that the coffee isn't the same since Vanessa left. He asks how things are at the office. She says there are 3 more special editions, and then she'll be unemployed, although she has got a meeting with the West Waratah Star later. He suggests they might keep her on as editor, but Susan says she'll take anything. He doesn't think she should take just anything and lists her accomplishments as a journalist. She smiles.

SUSAN: Maybe you should have written my CV.
KARL: It writes itself.

Lou comes in and they greet each other. Susan asks about his family, but he brushes off any questions, pays for his drink and leaves. Karl frowns: that was weird. Susan's not so sure.

Hospital
Vanessa is looking at Patrick when Lucas arrives. He picks up another load of washing and comments that she looks tired. She insists that she won't leave, and tells him she'd be better if he rested with her. They sit on the chairs and she leans on a pillow on his shoulder, while he puts his arm around her. Lou looks in and sees them, then leaves quietly.

Charlie's
Georgia is sitting looking despondently at her phone. Chris enters and asks her what's up. She tells him that when she called Scotty to tell him she was running late for his mum's party, he told her it was too late, and they had a huge fight. She then gets a text saying her absence spoilt the party. She tells him she doesn't know whether to bother sorting it out. It's been hard for a while. Rhys walks in, as Chris comments that he thought they were solid and she says things change. Rhys comes over and asks her if the hospital called her, because they are short staffed. She says it's her night off, but she could go in. He says she does enough already.

GEORGIA: I think that's about the nicest thing you've ever said to me.
RHYS: Yeah, well, don't get used to it.
GEORGIA: Oh, whatever - I know you love working with me.
RHYS: Yeah, you're all right, I guess.

Rhys turns away, and Georgia giggles, as Chris tries to work out what's going on.

Hospital
Lou is outside Patrick's room when Lucas comes out and asks if he's been there long.

LOU: Long enough to see you, Sleeping Beauty.

Lou says he's happy that Lucas and Vanessa are together. Lucas says they're just Patrick's parents. Lou points out that he still loves her, and she cares for him. Lucas replies that her focus is Patrick and he's there to help her. Lou suggests it would be easier if they were together and he urges Lucas to tell her how he feels.

Lassiters complex
A man approaches Lucas, and introduces himself as Bruce Letson. He tells Lucas that he recently bought a car from Rhys, and asks about its history, which Lucas reassures him about. Bruce says he was in a hurry to sell, so he was a bit worried. Lucas has a quick look under the bonnet, and says it looks fine. Bruce tells Lucas that Rhys asked him to transfer the money direct into a fund: it was $23k.

Charlie's
Susan is buying a bottle of wine when Lou comes in. She says that he needn't have cut his trip short for Lucas and Vanessa. He tells her that Lauren and her family are moving to Erinsborough. Susan thinks it's wonderful, but picks up that Lou's not sure. He says that Lauren thinks he still owns Carpenter's Cars and his own house. Susan asks if he was embarrassed.

LOU: I just don't know how to tell her.

Susan is sure she'll understand. Lou nods.
No 26
Sheila has just given Kyle a meal and Chris arrives, telling Kyle he was right about Georgia and Rhys. He looks round at Sheila, who leaves to give them some "boy time". Chris tells him how Georgia cheered up when Rhys came in, after being down about her row with Scotty. Kyle says again that Georgia has no chance, and they should tells her. Chris disagrees, but Kyle asks what if it were Tash. Chris sees his point... so Kyle says Chris should tell her.

KYLE: You're into guys, you know. Same, same.

Chris scoffs, but Kyle says he can't do it.

No 30
Georgia opens the door to Kyle. After an awkward start, he asks her about Scotty, adding that she should definitely sort it out. After all, they've been together for ages. She smiles uncertainly. He leaves and she looks upset.

Hospital
Lucas marches up to Rhys and states that he set up the fund for Patrick. Rhys denies it, but when Lucas says he's spoken to Bruce, Rhys has no choice but to admit it. Lucas accuses Rhys of trying to get Vanessa back. Rhys says if he were trying to get her back, he wouldn't have stayed anonymous. He just wanted to help, and this was the only way. He adds that he still wants to marry her. He asks Lucas not to tell Vanessa. Lucas looks pensive.

No 30
Georgia is sitting with a toy monkey. *Flashback to a smiling Kyle* She looks miserable. *Flashback to a topless Kyle* The monkey has the name Scotty on it. She picks up her phone and talks to Scotty, apologising for the party and the fighting, and promises to try harder.

Hospital
Lucas is watching Vanessa and Patrick through the window. Lou arrives with food, and he asks if Lucas has talked to her. He says he can't: Vanessa would be with Rhys if it weren't for Patrick. They were engaged! Lou reminds him that Rhys proposed just after Vanessa had given birth. Lucas says that it was Rhys who set up the fund, anonymously. He says Vanessa deserves support, not complications.

(later)
Lucas and Vanessa are eating the food. He tells her to sort things out with Rhys. She says she wants to focus on Patrick, but he says it doesn't mean she can't be with Rhys. He promises he'll be there for her, but she should be with Rhys.
