Rhys mopes about in the kitchen looking pensive, when Harley comes in. He asks if they can have a party in the house after the school social, but Rhys is not in the mood for the conversation and tells Harley to drop it.

HARLEY: Don't take it out on me, just because your girlfriend married someone else.

Rhys goes mad and tells Harley he doesn't want to hear anything more from him.

No 32
Vanessa is feeling guilty about all the wedding presents from her family, many of whom are no longer speaking to her. Lucas tries to reassure her, telling her that they don't need her family to raise the baby - but she's sad that the child will grow up not knowing its grandparents. Lucas says he'll take care of returning all the presents, and tells Vanessa to get some rest.

Lassiter's Complex
Rani finds Harley outside Harold's - he's upset that Rhys has poured cold water on his party idea. Rani tells him not to worry as they still have the bush dance, but Harley's dismissive and suggests they go to his friend Jono's party, which is happening in Frankston after the social. They could get the train there, but they don't run all night, so they would have to stay over there, he explains. Rani tells him she can't stay out all night because of her parents, but he says they can concoct a cover story. He promises it will be fun, but Rani looks nervous and says she'll have to think about it. He tells her not to think for too long.

No 30
Toadie, Connor and Callum are playing video games, House of Trouser-style, when Rani calls round to see Cal. She tells him about the party in Frankston but he quickly learns he's not invited; Rani simply wants his advice about whether she should go. Cal reminds her what happened last time she went behind her parents' backs, and suggests it might not be worth the hassle; he suggests coming back to his and watching DVDs after the social instead. Rani thanks him for his advice and leaves.

Lassiter's Complex
Priya receives a text from Paul, asking her to come round to his. Looking shifty, she texts back, telling him she'll be 20 minutes. She then spots Ajay loading up the car with something, and goes over to say hello. He reveals a surprise he's arranged for Diwali - he wants to start a tradition whereby they and Rani celebrate the festival together, and has bought sweets for them to share with the neighbours. Priya realises Ajay wants to do it this afternoon, and makes an excuse that she has to go to the mall - but he begs her to go tomorrow instead, and she agrees to join in with his idea.

Ramsay Street
Ajay, Priya and Rani bring out trays of sweets to take to their neighbours - Rani suggests people will freak out as there aren't any chocolate ones. Embarrassed to be seen going round with her parents, Rani walks off in the other direction with her tray. Priya suggests she take her sweets to the Robinsons', while Ajay goes to Karl's. Priya offers Paul the tray, using it as an excuse to apologise for not being able to get away to meet him - but Kate turns up, interrupting their conversation and nabbing one of the sweets for herself. Once she's gone, Paul suggests Priya meet him at Lassiter's in an hour, and she agrees.

No 32/Ramsay Street
Lucas looks up all the addresses of the wedding guests so he can send the wedding presents back, but Vanessa comes out of her room and takes over, saying she doesn't want him to have to clean up her mess. He insists she relax, but Vanessa feels she needs to do something to help. Lucas suggests she try to get the wedding rings refunded while he returns the hire car. He leaves, telling her the rings are in his jacket pocket. However, when she goes to look for them, she also finds the piece of paper with the customised vows Lucas has written, and begins to read.

LUCAS (voiceover): Vanessa, you've always been out of my league. I'm amazed I got one night with you, let alone have you agree to marry me. I can't imagine life without you in it. I never want to be without you. I love you.

Shocked, she follows Lucas out of the door, and sees him in the street, forlornly taking the ribbons off the hire car. Looking at the note again, she stares at him, before returning inside and replacing the note in his jacket.

No 24
Rani gets a text from Harley, asking if she's decided about coming to Frankston. Before she can reply, Ajay comes in wearing traditional Hindu clothes for their Diwali celebration. He asks why she's not in her sari, but she rushes out of the front door, saying she'll be back in a minute. Priya comes out of the bedroom in her own sari, and Ajay is blown away by how beautiful she looks.

PRIYA: It's still me under the fancy clothes.
AJAY: You're beautiful with or without the fancy clothes. I should tell you that more often.
PRIYA: Thank you.
AJAY: Something else I don't say often - I love you, like crazy.

He kisses her; and Priya goes to set the table, bemused and seemingly pleased at the sudden attention from Ajay.

No 26
Rani arrives to see Harley. She tells him she can't really be bothered going to the party in Frankston, as it'll be a huge hassle and she's not confident about the cover story. Harley guilt-trips her, saying he thought she wanted to do more boyfriend/girlfriend stuff. She assures him she does, but doesn't want to lie to her parents. Harley tells her it's fine, but goes into a sulk - so that when she asks if she can come round later, he avoids the question, showing her the door and telling her to go back to her parents.

Ramsay Street
Lucas returns from dropping off the hire car to find Vanessa loading bags into her own car. She tells him she's going away for a few days to get some space; Lucas tells her running away won't make things better and says she can't just run off when she's so heavily pregnant. Apart from anything, he wants to be there if she goes into labour. He tells her he'll make sure she has everything she wants right here, and starts wheeling her cases back inside. Looking worried, Vanessa follows him back in.

No 24
Rani has changed into her sari and joins Ajay and Priya for their Diwali meal - but it's obvious something is wrong. They ask if something's happened with Harley. Rani asks her parents whether they fought a lot when they first got together. Ajay and Priya each accuse one another of playing hard-to-get at the outset of their relationship, and Rani laughs along - but Priya tells Ajay she was just shocked, as up until he asked her out she had no idea he even knew she existed. They go on to tell Rani that they fought all the time, and Ajay jokingly advises Rani to break up with Harley and save herself some trouble! They all laugh, and Priya and Ajay hold hands, their attachment reignited somewhat by memories of the past.

No 32
Vanessa is still concerned about Lucas, as he brings her a cup of tea. She tells him she can look after herself, and doesn't need him waiting on her. She runs off for a lie-down, claiming she has a headache; he offers to fetch her something for it, but she rather tetchily refuses, and heads to her room.

No 24
Priya's about to go and get changed when one of Ajay's favourite songs comes on. He starts dancing, and convinces her to join him.

Lassiter's
In the week's oddest scene so far, Georgia suddenly bounds into the hotel reception to talk to Paul. She asks after Andrew and tells Paul what a 'funny patient' he was, before disappearing as quickly as she arrived! Paul retrieves an envelope containing a key card from behind the desk.

No 24
Priya and Ajay continue to dance intimately, while reminiscing about their university days. Ajay tells Priya she's the essential ingredient in all his best memories. Intrigued, she asks what's gotten into him - and he tells her he listened when she said she wasn't happy, and wanted to do more to make her happy.

AJAY: That's all I want in this whole world. To make you happy.
PRIYA: ...
AJAY: Nothing to say?
PRIYA: Not unless you want me to cry!
AJAY: No, no, no! I don't want you to cry.
PRIYA: Sorry, I'm just not used to this.
AJAY: Oh, you're gonna be. Alright, because we're going to be dancing more in the kitchen... and in the bathroom... in the bedroom... outside in the street...

Priya laughs delightedly.

Lassiter's
A frustrated Paul waits for Priya, and decides to call her.

No 24
Ajay tells Priya he knows he's hard to live with, but that he loves her so much and never to doubt it. Priya tells him he's not hard to live with, and they carry on dancing. Priya suddenly kisses Ajay and tells him she loves him too. Her phone rings in the background as they continue to kiss.

Lassiter's Complex
Paul is still trying to call Priya when she finally arrives outside the hotel, telling him she couldn't get away. Priya has something else to tell Paul: she explains Ajay wants to try and fix their relationship, and that she wants to save her marriage.

PAUL: Except your marriage doesn't give you what you need. I do.
PRIYA: What I need is for this to stop. I don't want to be this person anymore.
PAUL: Alright, come on, let's go to the room and talk about it.
PRIYA: No, I've made my decision.
PAUL: Oh come on, Priya. What you and I have got is too good to walk away from. You know that.
PRIYA: You and I were a mistake, Paul, and it's over. Goodbye.

She touches his face and walks away, leaving Paul looking annoyed.

- Paul tries to lure Priya back into his arms, but she's resisting
