Number 32
Francesca starts planning Lucas and Vanessa's wedding, when Vanessa stops her. Vanessa doesn't want to get married, but Francesca is worried what other people will say if she doesn't. Francesca encourages her to do the right thing in front of God, and it shouldn't be a problem because she loves Lucas. She tells Vanessa that if she doesn't marry Lucas, then they will cut Vanessa off.

(Later)

Francesca has left to find the local priest. Vanessa apologises to Lucas for dragging him into all of this. There's no negotiating with her parents, and while she doesn't see her parents often, she doesn't want to be cut off from them. Lucas says he would marry Vanessa if he needs to, they'll be living together anyway, what does 'a bit of paper' matter? Lucas has to go to work, but tells her to think about it, and whatever she decides he'll stand by her.

Lassiter's
Paul and Priya wait for the lift, putting on the pretence of talking about the VET program. They enter the lift, and once the doors are closed Paul leans in closely, Priya seems to love it as they flirt. The doors open and Priya walks off, again putting on the pretence that they were discussing work.

Fitzgerald Motors
Lucas and Kyle are outside working (listening to 'Don't Look Back' - this is the highlight of the episode.) Kyle asks how things went with Vanessa's mum. Lucas tells him that he and Vanessa might be getting married. Kyle's surprised and encourages him to tell Vanessa's mum the truth. Being married isn't just a piece of paper, it's about being with someone for life. He has to consider how messy it will be when he falls in love for real.

Harold's
Francesca tells Vanessa she's spoken to her local priest, Father Corrigan, and he could fit in their wedding in the next few weeks. Vanessa says she didn't agree to anything, but Francesca doesn't see why this is a problem if she loves Lucas and they've already made a commitment together. Vanessa sends her mother off while she serves Rhys. Vanessa points out her mother to Rhys, and enquires how Rhys' mum is doing. Rhys doesn't answer, telling her he's in a hurry.

Lassiter's Complex
Ajay tells Priya that he's got a lot of work to do over the next few weeks, so there won't be much time for family. They see Paul outside Harold's, so Priya suggests they go to Charlie's instead. As they head off, Ajay realises he has to speak to Paul about something. He asks Paul for a conference room for later in the week. Paul says Ajay must have him confused with the hotel manager, he doesn't do the bookings. As Ajay's about to check with the staff, Paul tells him that there are a couple of conferences booked this week.

PAUL: Lassiter's is a classy establishment. We wouldn't want a bunch of sleazy lawyers lowering the tone.
AJAY: You are such a petty man.
PAUL: Whatever.

As Ajay leaves, Paul winks at Priya.

Number 22
Paul opens the door to a sour-faced Priya, who marches in and asks if Paul is using her in a game he's playing with Ajay. She accuses him of getting one over on Ajay by stealing his wife. Paul says he and Priya have been playing a game since they first met, when she 'forgot' to mention she had a husband. This isn't a game to Priya, she has a lot to lose. Paul promises to lay off Ajay if it makes her feel better. Priya says if this is a game to him, she's out.

Charlie's
Kyle joins Lucas, and tells him he's making a mistake marrying Vanessa. Kyle thinks they should ask an expert on marriage.

LUCAS: G'day Paul.
KYLE: We were just talking about getting married.
PAUL: Really? And I thought Chris and Aidan were the only ones in the village.

Kyle asks Paul if marriage should be for convenience or love. Paul says marrying for love is the worst reason. He says marriage is only good for tax purposes or setting up a family trust. Men are hunters, and they're in it for the thrill of the chase and nothing else. Paul leaves.

KYLE: He's so messed up I don't even know where to start.
LUCAS: Don't over analyse it mate, just thank god we're not him.

Lassiter's
Random character Caroline is serving some customers at Lassiter's. Paul asks her how she's settling in, and then propositions her with a night in the penthouse (to watch the sunset, but he makes it very clear what his intentions are, the lecherous creep.) She's all for it and agrees to join him tonight. Paul is surprised by how easy it was to convince her, so he changes his mind and calls it off.

Charlie's
Kyle is chatting on the phone to Jade, saying how much he misses her. Rhys walks over, and Kyle thinks he's going to give him a cynical rant about being in love. Rhys says he won't, he doesn't believe in having 'the one' or 'the love of your life', but he does believe love exists. Kyle is pleased that guys can be in love without being soppy. Rhys says if you find the right one it's worth holding on to. Kyle asks if Rhys has seen Lucas or Vanessa, Rhys doesn't answer the question and leaves.

Harold's
Rhys apologises to Vanessa for earlier. Francesca arrives with good news from Father Corrigan, telling Vanessa he can do the wedding at the end of the month, while Rhys overhears.

Lassiter's Complex
Vanessa follows Rhys out of Harold's and explains the situation. Rhys asks if Vanessa will set her mum straight about her and Lucas, but Vanessa doesn't want to be cut off from her family. Rhys says she doesn't have to explain, it has nothing to do with him anymore.

Number 32
Francesca says they should phone Vanessa's father tonight and explain what they've decided. Vanessa asks for a moment with Lucas, so Francesca leaves to start dinner.

Charlie's
Rhys brings over some beers, ready to play some pool with Kyle. Kyle wants to talk about Lucas and Vanessa but Rhys doesn't.

Number 32
Vanessa is upset that Francesca would cut her off if she doesn't get married. She asks if Lucas is really okay with it. Lucas says he wouldn't offer if he wasn't. Vanessa thanks Lucas, no one has ever been this good to her, he's really special. Lucas admits he's happy about the whole thing. After a moment where it seems like he might tell Vanessa how he really feels about her, he covers by saying it means he can put her name on the mortgage too, it means if something happens they're both liable. Vanessa laughs about their being one upside to this whole thing.

Erinsborough High
Paul walks into Priya's office at night time. He tells her he's not ready to let this go. She's not interested any more.

Meanwhile Kate enters the school, while on the phone to Sophie explaining that she needs to pick up paperwork then see Priya.

Paul and Priya are getting ever closer and almost kiss before they hear Kate at her locker. Priya switches off the lights and locks her office door. Kate tries the door but leaves after thinking Priya isn't there. Priya has been enticed by the thrill of almost being caught, and kisses Paul, their hands all over each other.
