Summer and Tash are a bit worse for wear after last night. Summer asks if Tash is okay about ending things with Ed. She misses him but they just didn't work. Chris walks in with a huge grin on his face.
TASH: Someone is happy to be alive
CHRIS: Hey thanks for letting me crash last night guys
SUMMER: You should have taken us up on our offer to let Aidan stay too
TASH: Yes, because right now he could be cooking us breakfast
Chris says its official that he and Aidan are back together, and the girls are thrilled. Tash tells him not to stuff it up this time, and he won't, things will be different starting from this morning.
Aidan sneaks up on Chris, giving him a welcoming hug from behind. They get a table, and Chris tells him last night was great, but he wants to be more open with him than he was before. At that moment, Chris's dad walks in and hugs Chris. Aidan's a bit nervous at first, as George is ready to hug Aidan, Aidan goes for a handshake, so they shake hands. George offers to get coffees for them.
Priya walks up the driveway, carrying breakfast and a bouquet of roses when Ajay greets her. She was hoping for them to have breakfast in bed, but he's heading into the city to get Rani a Science book, then going to the dry cleaners and insists on going now. He suggests they meet up for lunch at Harold's and then leaves a not to happy Priya.
Lassiters Complex/Erinsborough News
Summer asks Bradley if she can pitch a story for the paper. Bradley agrees she should. They walk into the office and he asks the staff for news pitches. Everyone stands in silence, so he hands over to Summer who suggests they write an article in the local hero's section about Teresa Chan, a Paralympian who has won the gold in sailing. Bradley loves the idea.
At breakfast, George and Aidan have a very awkward conversation. They talk about travelling, Aidan has been travelling to Asia, George encourages him to go to Greece to visit the beaches, but it's not Aidan's thing. While talking about camping and visiting Bali, they can't seem to find any common ground at all. George decides to make a move, and despite Aidan offering to pay, George insists breakfast is on him. As they say goodbye, Aidan moves to hug George, but George goes for a handshak. They shake hands and George leaves. Chris tells Aidan he is so sorry about that.
Priya asks Susan to join her for coffee.
SUSAN: Well I'm technically at work, but since you and I are obviously having a meeting...
Priya says that Ajay would rather run the family errands than spend the morning with her, and so she's at a loose end this morning. Susan suggests she take on a hobby, so Priya enquires about Susan's new dance class. Susan evades Priya's questions about what type of dance it was, so Susan admits the truth. (Susan gives a lot of great looks throughout this conversation which are a lot of fun and not easy to summarise.)
SUSAN: (whispering) It's not jazz, it's pole dancing.
PRIYA: Susan Kennedy, I am shocked and appalled!
SUSAN: Hey, it's a very good workout.
PRIYA: So you wear the high heels and...
SUSAN: High heels... and trackie dacks, and the high heels are just a way to make the exercise a bit more fun.
PRIYA: So when's the next class?
Summer is doing research when Tash enters, elated about how right Chris and Aidan are for each other. Tash starts looking through Summer's stuff. Summer says she's doing lots of ground work to increase her chances of being able to write the article that she pitched earlier.
TASH: When you say they liked it, you mean Bradley, right?
TASH: Bradley who told you to loosen up and stop being such a nerdy overachiever.
SUMMER: That doesn't mean he wants me to slack off Tash, and I think this will really impress him.
TASH: Either that or you'll just annoy him. If I were you I'd just back off.
SUMMER: Well you're not me, and I know what Bradley meant. And I'm on the right track.
Bradley and Howard are chatting about football when Summer interrupts. She tells him about the ideas she has for the story, showing him all the research she's done. Bradley thinks it's great work, and it will really help Howard, who will be writing the story.
Howard organises an interview with Teresa on the phone, while Summer overhears. Bradley stops them all working to give them a pop quiz for sweeties. Summer doesn't join in and gets on with her work.
Priya looks at a flier for the pole dancing class. Ajay enters and laughs at it. She says its good exercise, but he treats it like a joke. Priya tells him that she was thinking about signing up, causing him to drop his trademark grin. She asks what Ajay's problem is with it, he says she's a school principal now and tells her to consider how Rani would feel, she's already embarrassed enough by her. Priya, disappointed, says he's right.
Chris and Aidan are happily playing pool, while Andrew takes another pill behind the bar. Aidan heads over to pay for drinks, and tells Andrew that he and Chris are back together. Andrew's pleased saying it's about time he saw sense. Aidan doesn't want to keep any secrets from Chris, and tells Andrew that his friends and family need to know he has epilepsy. Andrew threatens Aidan's job again, and tells him that the test results show the medication is working, so what was going on between the two of them is now done, and tells Aidan to pay for his drinks. A disheartened Aidan pays and leaves, telling Chris he has to go to work. Chris agrees to walk with him.
Chris and Aidan arrive at the hospital. Chris apologises for freaking out the other week about Andrew, and thanks him for putting up with his dad this morning. Aidan likes that Chris is trying to be up front with his dad. As Aidan heads back to work, one of the nurses asks him about Ben Anderson, and why he doesn't have contact details or a medicare number. Aidan says he forgot to put him in the system. She gives him a telling off. Chris checks on Aidan, who says he's fine, but doesn't look it. Chris lets him get back to work.
Ajay and Priya have a tense lunch. Ajay leaves to go to work when Susan enters. Priya tells her that she's not doing the class. Susan tries to encourage her, but Priya says she can't.
Summer joins Susan and complains about going to a lot of effort for the Teresa Chan story, but then Bradley gave it to someone else. Susan says it was Bradley's decision who wrote the article. Summer tells Susan that Bradley made up the quotes for the VET article on Lucas. He just chats to people and gets the gist, he doesn't care. Susan is shocked.
Bradley gets Summer a coffee, and asks if she's cool with him giving the story to Howard. He tells her that Howard has covered Paralympics before, and his brother has been a wheelchair all his life, so Howard would have good insights for the article. Bradley appreciates all the work she's done and asks her out for drinks after work. Summer realises the mistake she's made, just as Susan calls Bradley into her office. Summer tries to speak to Susan before Bradley heads in, but fails. Summer beats herself up over what she's done, (we can tell because she mouths the ‘f' word.)
Summer apologises to Bradley for what she said to Susan. Bradley says he's okay with what he does and how he does it, and he's disappointed in what she did. Running to Susan was childish, and she should have talked to him before running to the boss. She says she's sorry, and so is he, he thought she wanted his help to be a better journalist. He heads back to the group from work, Summer thinks about what she did for a moment before leaving.
