Toadie and Callum are walking back to their house. Troy calls over to Callum, trying to speak to him, but Callum tells Troy he doesn't want him anywhere near him. Toadie instructs Callum to go inside. When Callum leaves, Toadie questions Troy on what he's playing at. Troy says he just wants to be near Callum and when he saw the house was on the market he bought it. Troy says he's Callum's father, Toadie shouts furiously that he's Callum's father, and if Troy comes anywhere near Callum he'll slap a restraining order on him so fast that his head will spin. Troy walks away.
Callum shouts out the window for Troy to go (I don't think he can hear you Callum.) Rani is with him and asks if they can hang out, but Callum yells at Rani to go, he wants to be left alone. Rani leaves, as Toadie enters. Toadie checks that Callum is okay, reminding him that he is safe here. Callum says Sonya will freak when she finds out, but Toadie says he will tell Sonya, they need to be careful so as to avoid giving Sonya more stress. Sonya arrives exhausted, she's got a big headache, and she needs to get some rest. Sonya says she doesn't want to talk about anything, she just wants to sleep. She goes to bed. Callum tells Toadie he should speak to Sonya in the morning, but Toadie might hold off on that. He says he'll let Sonya sleep in, and after that he will tell her. (You can tell all of this is just so Sonya can find out in the most dramatic way possible!)
Toadie visits Troy. Toadie offers to buy the house off of Troy, but he refuses. Troy knows Callum doesn't want a bar of him, but if he isn't nearby then he can't even begin to try to be a part of his life. Troy claims he has changed, he was out of control last year, he joined an anger management program, and it worked. He isn't the guy who frightened Callum last year, he's changed, he's no longer a danger, and he has the psych reports to prove it. Troy says he doesn't want to take Callum away from Toadie, he just wants to be a part of Callum's life. He wants a chance to change Callum's mind about him, and insists Toadie reads the psych reports. (So in summary: Troy has changed.)
It's the middle of the night, the creepy Troy music is playing. Toadie walks into his living room, switches the light on and has a look at Troy's reports.
Commence flashbacks to last year: Toadie tells Troy to stay away from his son; Sonya says she wouldn't have let Troy near Callum if she thought he hadn't changed; Troy tries to stop Sonya from walking out on him (I don't know why Toadie remembers this scene, he wasn't even there); Troy threatens and punches Toadie; Jade tells Toadie to do something about Troy.
Toadie looks at the reports and through the power of television we can hear what is written through Toadie's inner monologue. ‘Troy has been willing to confront the issues that led to his undertaking the program. He states as a motivating factor, a wish to earn the trust of the son who he fathered in his early 20s. His ability to manage his moods has much improved which should prove helpful in dealing with inter personal issues.'
To you and me this is not overpoweringly persuasive, but the vague and brief report seems to be all Toadie needs to change his mind. He texts Troy to meet him at 9am tomorrow in his office.
Paul offers Zoe a coffee as she sits down and gets straight to business. The woman's health week organisers have sent a certificate of appreciation for the charity auction. Paul has a cheque for Zoe's anonymous bid, but doesn't give it to her because he didn't think he got his money's worth.
ZOE: Do I need to remind you how much your profile has lifted since the auction?
PAUL: Yeah but effectively I paid $1500 for a date with myself.
ZOE: Yes you did. Problem?
PAUL: Well unlike everybody else who bid at the auction, I've got nothing to show for it.
ZOE: Well I disagree. Combined with the event itself, that auction has earned you some respect with the women in this community.
PAUL: Yep. But where's my date?
ZOE: I handle your public image, not your personal life.
PAUL: You see, you placed the anonymous bid, so technically, you owe me a date.
ZOE: I'm not interested.
Andrew walks in and overhears the conversation. Zoe does not like to mix business with pleasure, but Paul insists she needs to eat sometime and it may as well be with me, and he's already booked a table for brunch. Zoe says fine, but brunch is all he gets. Paul's happy with that.
Callum's surprised that Sonya is up, she needs to go to work. There's a knock at the door and Rani comes in, asking if Callum's going to yell at her again. Sonya is concerned and asks what happened, Rani explains that Callum came back from Tash's place all weird and kicked her out. Sonya asks if something happened with the new neighbours. Rani says it turns out Sonya already knows the owner, his name's Troy. Sonya's shocked!

Toadie sits down with Troy. Toadie has read Troy's psych reports, and acknowledges that it couldn't have been easy admitting he had a problem and seeking help for it. Troy asks about Sonya, and realises that Toadie hasn't told her about him.
TOADIE: I can understand you wanting to see Callum, but just turning up out of the blue, that's really confronting.
TROY: Look, the house suddenly came on the market, I could afford it and figured it was my chance to live in the area.
TOADIE: But you're not just living in the area, you're living right next door. And that's freaking Callum out, is that what you wanted?
TROY: No of course not. Like I keep saying Jarrod, I just want to be part of his life.
The creepy Troy music is playing again now. Toadie says he needs to move off the street, so that Callum can get used to Troy being a part of his life, without the pressure of having him living right next door. Sonya bursts in wanting to speak to Toadie and is shocked to see Troy sitting there. Sonya orders Troy to get out. Troy says he's changed and what he did to Sonya last time won't happen again (I think he calls Sonya Jidge or Didge or Smidge or some sort of pet name not to be confused with all other pet names they have on Neighbours.) Troy insists he's not a threat anymore and that he's got help. Troy hands over his psych reports for Sonya to read. Sonya reads through them and an Anger Management certificate.
SONYA: Am I supposed to be impressed by this?
TROY: It shows I got my life back on track.
SONYA: No, it shows that you conned a few psychs into thinking that you're sorry!
TROY: If you just keep reading.
SONYA: I don't need to, because I know you, I know that you're a bully and a liar, I know that you attacked my family, I know that you poisoned my life and I will never let you anywhere near my son!
TROY: The man that hurt you and Callum was the old me.
SONYA: I've heard all that before!
TROY: People can change, you taught me that
SONYA: It takes more than a couple of hours in therapy, it takes years!
TROY: Come on Jarrod, you read the reports.
SONYA: This is all talk. It's what you do that counts. And what have you done Troy, you forced your way back into our lives, you scared my son half to death. And what, you think we'll just hand him over to you?
SONYA: No, he is the same, arrogant monster that he always was. You're not going anywhere near Callum, not for five seconds, not ever, so you pack your bags and get out!
Troy is disappointed that they weren't able to work anything out, and he walks out.
Zoe and Paul are on their date, Zoe talks about some PR events she has lined up for Paul. Paul tells her business can wait and would rather just enjoy a nice meal with Zoe. Zoe then schedules another meeting for this afternoon, at 1.30. Just then Susan arrives, excited that a story of theirs has been picked up by some of the national papers. Paul tells Susan not to get ahead of herself, giving a subtle nod towards Zoe. A dejected Susan sarcastically thanks Paul and says bye to Zoe. (Poor Susan, only 1 line in the whole episode.) Paul asks Zoe where she usually eats. Zoe says that if they want to have conversation they can focus on the next PR move, but Paul wants to focus on where he'll take her to dinner next.
PAUL: No shop talk, we established that.
ZOE: We also agreed that this brunch was purely to sooth your slighted ego. So stop trying to chat me up. Enjoy your food, you are paying for it after all.

Sonya is upset that Toadie didn't tell her about Troy, they are a team and he shouldn't have kept something that important from her. Toadie says he's trying to help her avoid this kind of stress as it isn't good for her or the baby, and she needs to calm down. He hoped that he would be able to reason with Troy by himself, and get him to leave without her having to deal with it, and then he would tell her. He was negotiating something until she arrived and things got too heated. Sonya asks if the psych report holds any weight in court, Toadie says that the judge will always do what is in the best interest of the child. Toadie says in the meantime he'll call the real estate agent and see if there are any holes in the sale of Number 32. Sonya leaves to meet Callum who is at the nursery with Lucas. Toadie has another look at Troy's psych reports including a questionnaire Troy has completed which basically says Troy is rarely angry.
Andrew is looking at business plans for the Right Prescription, when Paul sits down beside him. Andrew asks how the date went with Zoe, Paul says it was only brunch but Andrew thinks he was trying to push it to being a date. Paul laughs at Andrew giving him dating advice, but Andrew says if he is interested in Zoe, and the feeling is mutual, then he shouldn't push it.
ANDREW: I just don't want to see you get hurt again.
PAUL: Thanks mate. Not everybody wants to push me off a building
Zoe and Paul are having their meeting, Zoe says he wants to see Paul on a few more boards, such as the hospital. Paul mentions all the savage attacks he's had with them over the years, Zoe says they'll need to go for an all out charm offensive, and she's sure Paul will enjoy sweet- talking the female board members. Andrew smiles while he listens, and leaves them to the meeting. Paul suggests giving a business studies award for the school, that way he could offer a mentorship as well (I'd be careful though, the last person you offered a school mentorship to chopped off your leg and threw you off a cliff!) Zoe approves, she's stunned that he's had a good idea though. Zoe's a little lost for words and ends the meeting. Zoe suggests they go out for brunch again, Paul asks if it would be a business lunch, Zoe says that like Paul said earlier, everyone has to eat.
Lucas is keeping an eye on Rani and Callum while they are working at the nursery. Sonya arrives and Lucas chats to her privately. Sonya tells him that Troy is back and he's bought Michael's old house. Toadie arrives and says there is nothing they can do about the sale of the house. Troy legally owns Number 32.
Toadie, Sonya and Callum arrive home. Callum goes in, while Toadie and Sonya see Ajay parking outside Number 32. Ajay approaches Toadie and says he's here as Troy's solicitor. Troy wants to begin legal proceedings to get access to Callum. Troy says they've forced his hand.
Sonya and Toadie angrily walk in with Ajay. Toadie is angry that Ajay's taking this case (we'd expect this of Tim Collins, but not you Ajay. Troy is evil, haven't you heard the creepy Troy music whenever he's onscreen!) Ajay says everyone is entitled to legal representation, and Ajay took the case because of Callum, he hopes that their personal relationship could make the whole process more amicable, and avoid going to court. Sonya says Troy is getting no access to Callum, but Ajay says this means that court is their only option. Troy is Callum's father and he has rights. Ajay says Troy's a reformed character, and his psych reports mean a great deal legally. Toadie says the judge might decide that it is in Callum's best interest to spend time with Troy. If they go to court, Troy may get access to Callum.
