Kennedys' Storage Container
Susan is putting items in a box. Summer wishes Susan a Happy Birthday and wonders why she's spending her day unpacking. Susan explains she still has a few more things she's missing a few things for her new apartment. Summer asks if she'd spoken to Lyn about her birthday lunch, but Susan says she'd phoned and given her apologies. Susan can tell Summer has something to say, and asks why she's come all the way to find her.

SUSAN: I'm fine, Summer!
SUMMER: Really? I mean I know you're not together any more, but it must be hard seeing him with another woman.
SUSAN: Karl and I both knew this would happen eventually, it's just part of moving on.
SUMMER: You're not upset he's doing a tiny bit more moving on than you are?
SUSAN: What do you call this! I'm moving on too, and I'm happy for Karl. So help me get this stuff organised, and stop worrying, really. Smile, it's my birthday!

No 26
Karl scolds Rhys for being lazy and not putting away the dishes, and Rhys retaliates that he's become boring since hooking up with Jade. Jade says she's about to do the laundry and asks if anything needs washing. Rhys looks on as Jade and Kyle kiss and leave hugging.

Ramsay Street
Kyle gets in his truck as Rhys collects the newspaper. Kyle drives across the street and pulls up in the drive of No 30, to the amusement of Rhys. Kate appears about to go for a jog and stares at Kyle unloading the truck.

RHYS: And he calls me lazy! He just drove 5 meters across the street!
KATE: Kyle's a lot of things, but he's not lazy.

Kate states that Kyle is full of energy; Rhys asks if Kate's jealous of Jade for giving him the energy.

Rhys picks up a letter on the kitchen table addressed to him with a printed envelope of his mother's care home 'Rowanoaks, Special Care Facility'. Rhys asks if Jade has room for any more laundry and takes of his pink polo top insisting he can't wait his turn. Jade says she doesn't have time for him, but Rhys throws his top in the washer.

No 28
Summer's eating breakfast as Andrew is on his laptop. Karl asks if Summer and Andrew are cramming for an assessment, and is about to tell them both a story of his own time at university when his phone rings.

KARL: Hello? Oh Hi Leanne. Ah, yes Susan's not living here anymore. Yes we're separated. No, we've just started telling people.

Summer and Andrew overhear the conversation and look at each other awkwardly. Andrew asks Summer if she's ok, and she says that she can't understand how Susan is okay with Karl and Jessica dating. Andrew insists that she's alright. Summer tries to think of something she can do to help. Andrew advises that when you break up, you move on, you find someone else and get over it. Summer looks disgusted by this remark but appears to have an idea.

Jade is surprised to find Rhys cleaning up. Rhys asks if she's been checking out her clients at her Single's Gym Class, and she explains it's a perk of the job. Rhys spies an opportunity and asks Jade if she's doing anything in the afternoon, but before they can arrange anything Kyle walks in on his break.

KYLE: Dude, if you're asking her out, you're going to have to do better than that!
JADE: Yeah, come on Rhys, show us what you got!

Rhys suggests the two of them go for a coffee, but as he gets laughed at he decides he's not free after all. As he strops away, Kyle follows saying he'll join him for a coffee, leaving Jade looking very smug.

Harold's
Kyle asks Lou how the books are coming along and Lou dismisses the issue. Rhys teases Kate that the fallout of breaking Kyle and Jade up would be far too messy and he has no interest living with a broken up couple.

Outside Harold's
Rhys phones Rowanoaks Care Home and looks at his invoice, complaining about how high the fees are and wants to know how the extra money will benefit his mother. Jade storms up and empties a bin liner of clothes on Rhys's table, all dyed light pink. Jade complains that her and Kyle don't have the money to go out and just buy new clothes and insists that he foot the bill to get them professionally cleaned.

JADE: Anyone would think your mother never taught you to look after yourself.
RHYS: Ok, you've made your point Jade.
JADE: I can't believe I didn't pick it earlier you're a mummy's boy!
RHYS: You've got no idea what you're talking about Jade.
JADE: No actually I think I do, and that's the reason you go through women the way you do, treating them as entertainment because no one could ever live up to your precious mother.
RHYS: How about you just shut up.
JADE: What, you don't like it you're the one being psycho-analysed?
RHYS: SHUT UP.

Rhys and Jade storm off in opposite directions as Kate looks on.

KATE: What was that about?
RHYS: You're on. The dare with Jade. You're on.

Jade fumes into the kitchen about how much of an idiot Rhys is, whilst Kyle defends him, that it was an easy mistake to make. Kyle sits Jade down and proposes that the two of them go to her Auntie's birthday in Franga to meet the Canning family for the weekend.

KYLE: It's a low key thing. Give you a chance to meet the family, not a big deal.
JADE: Well, it is a big deal.
KYLE: You've already met Dane?
JADE: Yeah but I didn't get a say in that.
KYLE: What if I just start you off with Gran you've already eaten her food, so how about you meet the cook?

Kyle explains that he's already told all of his family about Jade, and reluctantly she agrees to visit. Kyle leaves to invite his Gran to come up for the weekend.

Charlie's
Karl accuses Lou of working Kyle too hard on Toadie and Sonya's renovations. Susan enters and they all wish her Happy Birthday. Summer presents Susan with print-offs for dating sites 'The HeartCollection' and Jade's 'Singles Boot Camp'.Susan appreciates the offer but insists that she's fine on her own.

SUSAN: Just because I'm alone, it doesn't mean I'm lonely! Karl and I separated so that I could explore who I am without other people, so right now I need to be on my own.

Harold's
Lou interrogates Kyle for ordering lunch and insists he gets back to work. Kyle stands his ground and says he needs to eat. Lou says that Dial-a-Kyle is losing money and there isn't enough time so needs to work the weekend.

KYLE: Listen Lou, I'm not a machine. I need to eat, and sleep, and take the weekend off. If you want extra work done, bring in someone else. But that means extra wages to pay, and it will be coming out of your pocket!

No. 28
Andrew says that Summer made a mistake advising Susan to go on Dating Websites. Summer insists that she just wanted to do something to stop Susan feeling alone. Karl scolds Andrew for watching TV during the day.

ANDREW: Susan is better off living by herself. Imagine putting up with Karl for that long.

Summer has an idea.

Bric-A-Brac Shop
Summer leads Susan up to the window of the shop and presents a German film poster of Cary Grant for her new flat to help make the place more her own. Susan loves it and says the poster will help her practice her German. Summer apologises about the Dating Sites but says she should be making the most of anew place and start afresh. Susan says she doesn't have a lot of spare money but Summer insists that's what the Bric-A-Brac store is for. They both go on a shopping spree.

Charlie's
Susan places her shopping and Cary Grant poster at her birthday table set up at Charlie's. Karl appears with a pile of presents for Susan from himself and the family. He's brought her a very generous gift voucher for a Home Store.

No. 26
Rhys apologises for the washing. Kyle asks is his Gran staying the weekend is alright and Rhys is fine with it and says she's welcome for as long as she likes. He has a plan! Rhys apologises to Jade.

RHYS: Meeting the family hey? Things must be getting serious between you two.
JADE: It's just his Gran Rhys...
RHYS: Yeah, for now. Got to admit, I'm surprised you said yes.
JADE: Well it's important to Kyle.
RHYS: But you don't want to do it do you?
JADE: It's really not that big a deal...
RHYS: For most people. But you and I aren't really like that. Family barbecues. Reunions. Birthdays, Christenings, Weddings. They expect you to go to every single one of them. Pretty soon every weekend is mapped out for you. Personally I'd rather have my own life. This sort of commitment is really hard, which means Kyle must really be worth it. I'm happy for you... good for you.

Jade looks shaken up by Rhys' words - the plan has worked.

(Later)

JADE: Kyle, I was thinking about your Gran. Does she have to come up? I don't mean never, it's just this weekend, it all feels a bit... soon.
KYLE: I thought we talked about this?
JADE: Yeah I know, but I'm just not ready.

Kyle accepts that Jade's made her decision and Kyle calls his Gran to tell her not to come clearly he's quite upset, he cancels his evening plans with Jade and decides to go to Honger's. Rhys brings in the dry cleaning, and has bought Jade a new top that was ruined, and she accepts his apology. Kate comes in and sees Rhys and Jade together and looks worried that his plan has worked. Rhys gives Kate an evil wink.

Jade tells Kate she's not ready to meet Kyle's Gran, and that Rhys is right
