Nursery
Sonya is telling Toadie that maybe not being allowed to return to Simmons and Colbert is a good thing and reassures him that he will find something else. She then suggests that with the settlement payout, maybe they could take a break together. Toadie receives the email about how much the settlement will be and he and Sonya are both stunned by the figure. The payout is so generous that Sonya worries that a mistake may have been made. At first it seems like a good thing but then Toadie tells Sonya that no other law firm will employ him if they find out he accepted a six figure payout and Simmons and Colbert will be able to dictate where he works for the next two years. In addition there is also a confidentiality clause which stipulates that Toadie can't talk to anyone about the details of the development. He has been bought off.

Charlie's
Emilia excitedly greets Lucas and tells him she bought him a present. It is a beautiful new magazine about photography. As Lucas looks through the book Emilia tells him that she is featured in it. Lucas is very bemused by the photo of Emilia and immediately puts the magazine down, but Emilia doesn't notice as she goes to get some food. Lucas who hasn't touched his food, is asking Emilia more about the photo and her modelling. She tells him that she does some nude modelling, mostly for life drawing classes. Emilia says that once she got past her initial concerns she found that it is a liberating experience.

Paul interrupts their conversation asking Lucas if he has seen Toadie which he hasn't. Paul then notices the book and has a look through, he is very impressed when he sees the photo of Emilia. Lucas tries to talk Paul out of buying a copy saying the newsagents will probably have sold out, so Paul says he better be quick and leaves.

LUCAS: Do you get recognised much?
EMILIA: Occasionally
LUCAS: That must make you feel uncomfortable
EMILIA: Not at all, but you clearly are.

Lucas tries to pretend that he is okay with it but Emilia can see that he isn't. Emilia tells Lucas that these women are portrayed in such a way that is empowering, but Lucas doesn't look convinced.

Number 30
Toadie is looking on a Job Seeker website when Callum comes up behind him and asks if he has found anything. Toadie hasn't found anything promising and comments that it is not a good time to be looking for a new job. Callum jokingly as suggests that Toadie could help him with his paper run. Toadie answers the door to Paul who accuses him of avoiding his calls. Paul wants Toadie to come in for an interview at the paper at five that afternoon. Toadie explains that the interview isn't going to happen. Paul asks if that's because of the redundancy package, which of course Toadie can't discuss. Paul asks if it is because of the confidentiality clause which prevents him from talking to journalists. Paul has put two and two together and knows that Toadie is being paid a fortune to keep quiet.

PAUL: You know what Toadie I've accused you of a lot of things over the years, but I never thought you'd be the type of guy to be bought off. You let me know if you become a free man again won't you.

Simmons and Colbert
Toadie arrives and tells Anna that he needs to see Charlotte. Toadie then interrupts the meeting Charlotte is in and informs her that he is not signing the contract, he won't be bought. Toadie tells Charlotte that he wants his job back and if it doesn't happen he is going to sue for wrongful termination and go to the press. He wants an answer from the partners by the end of the day.

Outside Harold's
Lucas runs into Michael who notices that something is amiss. Lucas shows him the photography magazine, explaining that Emilia is in it. Mike knows all about the modelling and says that Emilia has been doing it for years. He doesn't have a problem with it and thinks the photos are beautiful. Lucas says he doesn't like the idea of other men being able to check Emilia out and he doesn't understand why she would want to do the modelling.
MICHAEL: Look Emilia's a free spirit man, it's who she is.
LUCAS: Yeah well this is who I am and I don't like it.
MICHAEL: Well then maybe you've got to decide if she's the right person for you.

Lucas says that he and Emilia are great together and this is just a speed hump.

Nursery
Sonya reminds Toadie that when he first took the job he didn't even want it. Sonya does understand though and tells Toadie that the way he fights for what he believes in is why she loves him and he has nothing to be sorry for.

Number 30
Callum is playing his game as Toadie comes in to check his email. Callum is talking about upgrading his graphics card as Toadie anxiously waits for his email to connect. Unfortunately he has no new messages.

Nursery
Sonya looks worried as she looks through various bills wondering how they will get paid if Toadie doesn't get his job back.

Number 32
Toadie and Callum are sitting together on the floor and Callum is telling Toadie about how he is going to make his own games one day. He then says that he wants to do gaming development at university because of all the money he will make. Toadie tells him that not everything is about money as Sonya packs up her takings for the day.

Charlie's
Emilia has bought her and Lucas drinks while two men watch her from another table. Emilia isn't troubled by them but Lucas clearly is. Lucas then decides to leave rather abruptly leaving Emilia looking disappointed at his attitude.

Harold's
Tash and Mike are eating some pie together when Emilia comes in. Tash tells Emilia that her Dad is acting weird and doing reverse psychology on her. Mike tells Tash that it is important that she is being herself and expressing who she is. Tash takes this as confirmation of Mike being weird and tells Emilia that he sounds like her. Tash was certain that she was going to get a lecture about her decision to study arts. Mike tells her that uni is about finding yourself, meeting new people and thinking of ways to change the world. He tells his daughter to trust her instincts. Tash goes to get a drink as Mike tells Emilia that she looked great in the photos. Emilia looks thrilled to hear this and Mike is smiling happily as well.

Number 30
Toadie and Sonya hope that no news is good news as they continue to wait. Toadie reminds Sonya that if he hasn't heard from the partners by the next morning he will start legal proceedings against the firm. Toadie answers the door to Charlotte who has come to give him the decision in person.

CHARLOTTE: In light of the reasons you gave they decided they would rather have you working for the firm than against.
TOADIE: They want me back?
CHARLOTTE: They want you to start as soon as you can.

Charlotte says that the fact that Toadie is a straight shooter and didn't back down has worked strongly in his favour. Charlotte has even created a place for him on her team. Toadie says that he wants flexible hours, to be allowed to work from home sometimes and have weekends off. Charlotte is sure that will be fine so Toadie happily accepts. They all leave to celebrate.

Charlie's
Paul comes over to the table where Charlotte, Toadie and Sonya are celebrating and makes his annoyance plain at not getting his interview. Charlotte is impressed by the way Toadie handles him. Sonya notes that Charlotte isn't married just before she leaves. Toadie promises Sonya that they will always talk about major decisions in future and says that now they can get on with making babies. They decide to get started straight away.

Harold's
Emilia tells Mike that she thinks Lucas has a problem with her modelling. Mike thinks he is just being protective but Emilia thinks it is more controlling behaviour. Emilia is trying to understand where Lucas is coming from but is struggling. She is not able to give up who she is for anyone. Mike thinks she is right and she kisses him on the cheek and thanks him.

Lassiters Park
Emilia is walking along the bridge thinking about her relationship with Mike when her phone rings. It is Lucas, but Emilia doesn't look like she wants to answer it.

Number 24
Lucas has asked Emilia over to explain and apologise. Emilia doesn't want to go to Sydney anymore saying that they don't really know each other very well and it is too soon. She thinks they should slow things down as their relationship has started to move a bit fast. Lucas is surprised that his reaction to the photos has brought this on. He explains that he doesn't like the idea of Emilia's body being on display for everyone to see and he doesn't understand why she wants that.

EMILIA: You don't get it and you don't get me.
LUCAS: I do!
EMILIA: No you want me to be someone that I'm not. I can't do that Lucas. I don't want to.

She kisses him on the cheek and apologises before leaving.

- Lucas saying that he might have stuffed things up with Emilia.
- Kate reminds Lucas that they are not living in the nineteen fifties and Emilia can do what she wants.
- Emilia finds Lucas in the garage without his clothes on and want to know what he is doing.
- Priya asking Susan if she wrote the article and Susan introducing herself to her.
- Susan refusing Karl's help.
- Rhys asking Aidan how well he knows Erin and Aidan commenting that Erin is not his type.
- Rhys introducing Kate to Erin.
- Rhys telling Kate to stay out of his relationship with Erin.
