Previously on Neighbours
- Michael collapsing and not remembering what happened in the build up.
- Kate telling Noah she can get into a lot of trouble after kissing him.
- Lucas and Co being made an offer from Toadie for their businesses.
Emilia and Lucas discuss how Michael is going as they leave the hospital. She notices he's a bit quiet and he tells her about a decision that he has to make and turns down her suggestion of sharing it with her in preference to working it out by himself. They run into Paul who is on his way to visit Michael (delivering flowers on behalf of the school board) and after the intro's, he asks Lucas if he's told Toadie of his decision and when Lucas replies that he hasn't gets a mini- lecture from Paul on community!
EMILIA: I'm guessing that's the decision then?
LUCAS: Got it in one.
This time Emilia demands he tells her all over a drink!
Kate arrives home to find Sophie strumming away on her guitar. She asks her sister to practice in her room but Sophie says no because Noah is coming round so they can practice some more in advance of the Save PirateNet gig. Thinking quickly, Kate suddenly announces that they are going on an impromptu shopping trip so that Sophie can get some new clothes to match her new look. Sophie agrees to the shopping date on condition Kate doesn't veto what she wants and is told not to call Noah to let him know the session is cancelled but to text him instead.
Sonya wants to make best use of Toadie's sudden free time since the development is currently in limbo until Lucas makes up his mind. Callum puts an end to the smooch session though when he comes out of his room to play his online game – he gets a better signal in the livingroom apparently much to Toadie and Sonya's frustration!
The girls return from their shopping expedition and Kate isn't amused at Sophie “altering” one of the garments with a pair of scissors! However Sophie might not be amused to find out that Kate rejected a call from Noah on her phone - it was on vibrate mode so she didn't hear it ring when she nipped into her room!
Lou arrives home as the girls finish “altering” Sophie's new clothes but his arrival home also brings someone else too – Noah, whom he found on the doorstep. He is round to collect Sophie and her bass as she is going to be performing at the PirateNet gig. The lassie is over the moon at playing at her first gig although Kate tries to wriggle out of going citing too much Uni work but Lou refuses to go to any more gigs!
Kate helps Sophie into the bar with her gear and Noah immediately approaches them. He helps Sophie get set up on the stage while Kate excuses herself to get them drinks although he soon approaches her to talk. Noah begins by thanking her for accompanying Sophie to the gig then brings up what happened at the wall – he gets what she has been saying to him so there is no need for her to stress.
Sonya ropes in a co- conspirator to enable her to get some alone time with Toadie – Jade! She finally manages to drag Callum out with the lure of free wi- fi at #26!
JADE: You owe me big time!
Looks like Lou is off on his travels again – this time a cruise as he asks Lucas for advice on which clothes he should bring take him – the loud Hawaiian shirt or the plain blue safari one.
LUCAS: Are you trying to blind them or put them to sleep?
LOU: Ah, Hawaiian it is then!
Lou then changes subject totally – trying to persuade Lucas to accept Toadie's offer and sell up. Dane arrives and isn't impressed at Lou trying to persuade Lucas to sell up and the pair of them end up having a ding- dong until Lucas tells them both to shut up before walking out of the house!
Toadie is impressed by the spread Sonya has created for their alone time… which is interrupted by a knock at the door. Sonya thinks they'll go away but Lucas calls out if Toadie is home so he quickly runs to the door to let him in. Perhaps Toadie will regret letting him in when Lucas announces his decision – he isn't selling, he doesn't want the stress and risk ending up in hospital like Michael did. Toadie tries to persuade him by offering help with the money/to find a new site but Lucas isn't budging from his decision. Toad puts on a brave face but as soon as Lucas leaves you can see he's disappointed.
Chris and Andrew come by to pick Summer up for the gig and she surprises them by announcing she isn't going plus she's got to re- jig her study plan as they have to re- sit the English Lit exam after what happened to Michael. They eventually accept her decision and leave.
Sonya tries to quiz Toadie on what happens now following Lucas' decision but he tries to blank out what happened by watching another movie and rejects her suggestion of telling Peter now, he'll tell him tomorrow during work time. They decide to put movie watching on the backburner and continue with the baby making plan… until the sofa breaks!
She maybe didn't want to go to the gig but Kate is enjoying herself as Andrew and Chris enter the bar and join her table. Paul approves of the gig too (and how great Sophie is) a bit surprised that Summer isn't here and asks Chris to email him some of the photo's he is taking for the paper.
Kate's happy mood disappears though when Sophie joins them after the song finishes and can't shut up raving on about Noah!
Toadie is trying to repair the sofa much to Sonya's bemusement and she almost has to drag him to bed to try and cheer him up, so despondent he is about the mere thought of the sofa going!
Kate approaches Noah to thank him for helping Sophie with all the guitar stuff. After apologising to him, she asks if they can start afresh, which he is only too happy to agree to and that begins by roping her into helping him take his amp in from the van.
Paul shouts Sophie some sustenance during the break and she asks Andrew to mind it (and he promptly pinches a chip!) while she goes to help Noah and Kate. She passes Summer on the way out although Sum doesn't hang around long, disappearing out the other bar door before Andrew or Chris sees her!
Sophie heads out the bar and heads towards the carpark where Kate and Noah are struggling with his heavy and large amp. Noah chances his luck with the way Kate is leaning over the amp to kiss her and she recoils immediately and forcibly tells him “no”. He explains he mis- understood her leaning into the amp (she wanted to try and get a better grip of it) and it would appear he also mis- understood her request for them to start afresh by wiping the slate clean.
KATE: That's not what I meant. I meant start over in a professional way.
Unknown to them though, someone else is watching them – Sophie!
