Hospital
Summer, Chris, Andrew and Tash wait at the hospital, Tash is desperate to see Michael. Chris mentions his Uncle Gene, who was the fittest guy he ever met and died from a sudden heart attack. Andrew says Michael's way too young for that to happen to him, then Chris puts his foot in it again by saying 'that's what they said about Uncle Gene.' Andrew slaps Chris on the leg and tells him to help him get some drinks. As they leave, Andrew pushes Chris on the head out of the room.
Tash blames herself for not seeing the signs that Michael was stressed, and all the business with her mum must have added to Michael's stress. She says she's glad Summer was there, and she saved his life. Summer says she didn't and storms off.
Number 30
Sonya's doing some cleaning as Callum comes in and sits down, immediately switching on his laptop. Sonya tells him to do his paper round before he plays games. Callum complains that he promised some kid, Gandreal, in Canada that he'd play with him. Sonya tells him he should pedal fast if he wants to play the game. Callum complains but gets moving.
Ramsay Street
Callum calls Sonya outside, showing her the flat tyres on his bike. Sonya tells him he should either deliver the papers by foot or pump up the tyres. Sonya knows he took the valve caps off the bike so Callum hands them over to her. She explains he has to do his paper round if he wants to use the internet.
Hospital Exterior
Summer sits on a bench by herself and has flashbacks to the phone incident and Michael collapsing. She gets a phone call from Andrew but doesn't answer it.
Harold's
Andrew asks Chris if Summer seems okay. Chris suggests she's still angry at Andrew for deleting her history wall project. Chris is still trying to work out how Andrew managed to delete the file and all the back- up files. Callum bumps into Andrew with the papers. Andrew tells Callum that Michael's in hospital. Callum says he can't deliver the papers while Michael is in hospital, out of respect, but Andrew and Chris tell him to deliver the papers as it's what Michael would want. He reluctantly takes the papers and leaves.
Hospital
Emilia greets Tash at the hospital.
EMILIA: Your father is one of the stubbornest people I've ever met, he'll pull through this.
Rhys arrives and tells them Michael is stable. He has some internal bleeding and they're preparing him for surgery. Tash asks to see Michael, and Rhys says not yet. Emilia has a word with Rhys, who says Tash can catch him in the corridor if she's quick. Tash runs and catches Aidan wheeling Rhys through the corridor. Tash tells Michael she loves him and kisses his forehead. Aidan promises Tash they'll take care of Michael.
Emilia goes to cancel her clients for the day as Summer arrives, and Tash brings her up to speed on Michael's condition. She cries that it was all her fault for stressing Michael out.
TASH: He chose me, and all I've done, is cause him grief.
SUMMER: What are you talking about?
TASH: I found out about my mum. She drowned. All because I was a stupid little girl and I ran into the water and she came in after me and she couldn't swim. And dad tried, but he couldn't. He had to choose.
As Tash gets more and more upset, Summer yells out that she was the one responsible for Michael being in hospital.
(Later)
Tash thinks Summer's accepting blame because she pushed Tash to find out about her mum. She tells Summer to stop trying to steal her guilt. Summer says Michael's condition has nothing to do with her mum, just as Andrew and Chris arrive with coffees. Tash tells them that Summer's trying to take the blame, and also that she told Summer about her mum.
TASH: If there's only one thing I've learned, it's that secrets only make things worse.
Summer moves her eyes about shiftily and looks guilty.
Random Exterior (perhaps near Dial- A- Kyle)
Callum takes a pile of paper to the bins, just as Mal and Karl approach asking how the paper round is going. Karl tells Callum that this place isn't anywhere near the paper route, and tells him how to get back to the right place. Karl then starts going on about when he was a paper boy 'back in the day.' Callum interrupts him to tell them about Michael, so Karl and Mal walk off concerned. With them gone, Callum bins his papers and rides off.
Hospital Exterior
Emila asks Tash if she's alright, she says the others have gone to get food. Emilia puts her arm around Tash, Tash tells her about when Michael was in hospital after saving her from a fire. She feels bad for not being able to help him, and she's scared of losing him, Emilia hugs Tash. She gives Tash a bracelet that her mother gave to her. She says Tash's mother got one too and that Michael has it.
EMILIA: Over the years, whenever I would think of you and wonder what you were doing, I would look at this. It would help me believe that I would see you again. I want you do to the same whenever you think about your dad because he's going to be fine. We're always here for you, always.
Charlie's
Summer looks at the pictures of her notes on her phone as Andrew and Chris sit down with her. Chris asks how she has it when all phones were taken for the exam, Summer lies that a teacher gave it to her afterwards. Andrew asks how she phoned for an ambulance without her phone; she defensively says she used Michael's. She asks why they're giving her the third degree, and then storms off.
Hospital Exterior
Summer approaches Rhys asking to speak to him, telling him she's responsible for Michael collapsing. Rhys tells her the collapse wasn't caused by an argument. Tash arrives and asks to know what's going on. Michael has a perforated stomach ulcer caused by an overuse of analgesics. Rhys says Michael will be out of surgery in 10 minutes, and he'll need to be in hospital for a few days but he'll be fine.
Number 30
Callum runs in and sits down at his laptop. He tells Sonya the paper route was finished and questions how he managed to get back so quickly, he claims it's a short cut and assures her that none of the papers will come back undelivered. Sonya's suspicious, as Callum takes the laptop to his room.
Ramsay Street
Sonya goes outside, looking at Callum's bike. Mal and Karl walk up Ramsay Street, Karl asking who Mal is texting, he claims he's texting Susan. They find Sonya checking the bins. Karl tells Sonya that they met Callum with papers in the wrong area.
Hospital
Michael wakes up with Tash beside him. Rhys enters and tells Michael he's going to be fine after a few days in hospital. Michael apologises to Tash for everything and says she's not to blame for stressing him out. Andrew and Summer watch outside. Summer tries to leave, but Andrew stops her, asking if he's forgiven for deleting the folio. She says its fine. As they're going, Tash asks Summer to come in as Michael wants to see her.
Summer enters Michael's room alone. Michael thanks Summer for calling the ambulance and says he can't remember anything after taking her to the bathroom. He says he's glad she was there and she takes his hand.
