Kate sleeping with Rhys Lawson, then asking Jade not to tell anyone.
Sonya telling Jade it's okay to be vulnerable.
Jade cooking dinner for Kyle, then Michelle turning up.
Jade insisting that her feelings for Kyle are stupid, and she's ignoring them.
Andrew needing a loan from Paul for schoolies, otherwise Chris, Sum and Tash will suffer.
Paul refusing to help his son.
Andrew is calling round friends, trying to find work so he can get some cash for schoolies. It's not working out. Conveniently, Andrew runs into two French students who are looking for a cheap place to stay, they have come from the airport and are trying to get to the city. They barely speak English, but seem to understand Andrew perfectly.
Andrew tells them there's nothing around...but if they only need a place for one night, then he has an idea...
Michelle and Kyle are bringing her boxes in to the house, and she's chatting away. She has a horrendous picture of a unicorn in dazzling blue which she wants to put up in the lounge.
KYLE: That'll look good in your room...
MICHELLE: I think it'll look great just right here. Anywhere I go I just put him up and the whole energy of the room changes.
KYLE: (In shock). Sure does...
Kyle suggests to Jade that they go to the pub – and Michelle chimes in that it's a great idea. Jade changes her mind – she'll go to her room instead. Kyle says he'll call Kate, see if she's up for it...and Jade changes her mind again.
MICHELLE: Gotta love a house outing!
The guys are playing pool, and Kyle lets Kate have another turn, even though it's not her go. Jade comes back from the bathroom and is annoyed to hear Kyle still praising Kate for all her hard work on his business speech. She takes the pool cue and has a shot whilst Michelle chats away incessantly about making Charlie's their local hang out spot.
The two backpackers are crashed out on a table whilst Andrew tries to find somewhere for them to stay (and he'll take a cut, of course). He tries to convince Tash that they're friends of his who need a place to stay, but she refuses – she knows exactly what Andrew's up to.
One of the backpackers wakes up and Andrew tells him it's all sorted, he just needs to finalise some details.
Kate's lost an earring but it's not been handed in at the bar, so Jade tells her to stop stressing about Rhys. Kate goes back to join Kyle at the pool table and Michelle comes over to confide in Jade. She just *knows* they were talking about Kyle, it's so obvious he has a crush on Kate. Michelle goes on and on about how lovely and sweet Kate is, so Jade suggests that Kate isn't the angel everyone makes out to be.
Cut to later and Michelle is still chatting about how freaky darts is as a sport – throwing long pointy things across a room. Kate spots Jade's annoyance, but no time to talk about that because Rhys walks in. He comes over and hands Kate her earring, saying it must have come off the other night. Kyle clicks what's happened and is gutted.
The Men's Shed
Lucas and Toadie have lit a fire and are hanging out when Andrew comes over. Despite not being a member they let him stay for a bit.
Jade's playing darts but Kate and Kyle are sitting awkwardly. Kyle asks Kate if she and Rhys hooked up after his business launch but Kate denies it, saying she lost her earring at the bar. Kyle suggests another game of pool, and goes off to find Michelle, whilst Jade doesn't understand why Kate didn't just tell Kyle the truth.
The Men's Shed
The guys are watching footie when Summer comes in and starts a massive row with Andrew. Fed up, Lucas and Toadie call it a night whilst the love- birds continue to row...and once the guys have left they congratulate themselves on managing to get the Men's Shed for the night!
Cut to later where Andrew is introducing the two backpackers to the place, trying to convince them it's a self- catering outback experience with a mezzanine level. With nowhere else to go, they take it.
Andrew and Summer get back home where Paul announces that there's no food left so Andrew will have to make his own. Paul goes to bed, and Andrew admits to Summer that he's broke, so she suggests cancelling the accommodation for schoolies. Andrew tells her not to: he'll get the money somehow. But he gets a call from Gael, one of the backpackers, and there's a problem...
The Men's Shed
Summer and Andrew arrive to find the French guys outside, frightened.
GAEL: There is spider, dangerous Australian spider, on the table.
SIMON: We die!
GAEL: On the table!
Andrew gets the spider, and Summer hands the guys some snacks. They pay Andrew only $30, as the accommodation is dirty. Andrew relents.
Back at the bar, Michelle is still going on and on about her friends' love lives. Jade wants to leave, and so Michelle starts chatting about where they can go together, so Jade dumps her onto poor, unsuspecting Lucas.
Kate's finishing some paperwork and her roster when Kyle comes in. He says that Kate's a cool chick and a good friend, and he thinks he's lucky to have a friend like her. Kate listens, then announces that she lied: she did hook up with Rhys, but they're not an item.
Kate says she lied because Kyle puts her on a pedestal and thinks she's perfect, and she can't live up to it. She opens the door for him to leave.
Jade sits at home, fed up, when Kyle returns. He tells Jade he knows about Kate and Rhys, and thought she was still hung up on Brennan. He wanted Kate to get over Brennan with him – should he cut his losses and move on?
Jade tells Kyle she's his housemate, not his therapist, goes to her room and slams the door.
