Oval/Number 28
Karl runs laps round the oval while at home Susan does her best to repair the map he ripped up.

Number 26
Sonya is round to get her sister's help about her plans for the community garden but that goes out the window when Kyle comes home from a job and strips down to his boxers... including seeing a brief glimpse of his naked rear end!!! Jade is having major problems trying to keep her mind focused on Sonya's plans so decides it's best if they go out for lunch... and Sonya is paying!

Harold's Store
Jade looks through Sonya's figures and thinks there is a problem - they are rather high and wonders if she is being shafted. Kyle follows them to the store and Jade decides they are going to have lunch outside not because Kyle is flashing again but because she's got a touch of the green eyed monster (he left chatting to the ladies to rush to Kate's aid even though she said she could carry the heavy box).

Number 28
Susan places the food onto the table awaiting Karl's return but when he does, because she can't give him a date they can leave for Peru on, he decides to head to work.

Lassiters Complex
Thankfully for Jade, the conversation is deflected towards Kate when she brings out the trio's drinks (Kyle' has joined Sonya and Jade outside) and she mentions that she can't concentrate today due to her late night. Kyle quizzes her about but she lies about what she really did (watched DVDs with Jade) and manages to get away with it just, promising to return shortly to get their lunch order.

Sonya picks up on Jade's green eyed monster when she watches Kyle run to Kate to get a pen (his isn't working) but she ignores the question and instead announces they are off to see the garden instead and manage to leave before Kyle notices they've gone.

Charlie's
Susan tempts Jim with some activities they/he can do on the way to Anglesea and adds that his old house is still there too. Jim is really happy at the news but then his happiness sullens when he tells her about going on a walk earlier and he didn't know where he was (he got lost in a housing scheme he helped build). This has got him thinking and he then asks Susan to be his power of attorney over his medical treatment. Susan isn't sure so he tells her to talk to Karl but will understand if he says no.

Jim nips off to the loo and Rhys (who's just entered the bar) comes over to ask Susan how Jim's medication is going (good) when he spots the power of attorney form she was looking at and remarks that it's a big responsibility. "I'm well aware of that," she replies curtly and isn't amused at Rhys asking questions about it either!

Community gardens
So much for escaping Kyle since he's followed the ladies to the garden to measure up to give Sonya a quote. Jade is all over the shop and Sonya eventually puts 2+2 together and works out that Jade has a crush on Kyle.

SONYA: Jade Mitchell, its true isn't it? You like Kyle!

Jade can't (or won't) reply to that and instead tries to re- focus on Sonya's plan for the garden whilst trying very hard to ignore her sisters taunts about Kyle! Sonya asks if Kate is interested in Kyle and Jade replies no or she has a funny way of showing it. "Well you've got to show it," Sonya tells her just before Kyle announces he has all he needs to give a quote and offers Jade a lift home but she lies to say she has clients to get out of going with him.

Ramsay Street
Sonya takes great delight in winding her sister up (Jade thought she'd told Kyle) before having a go at her for not making a move after Jade told her about the party pash kiss with him.

SONYA: He has no idea you like him does he?
JADE: Well maybe I'll tell him the next time he's throwing himself at Kate!
SONYA: He's probably only doing that because he doesn't think he has a chance with you!
JADE: He doesn't have a chance with me okay! I don't do serious, I do, you know, I do fun.
SONYA: Oh well you know, that's clearly... this is very fun for you!

Jade stomps off but walks back after Sonya asks for her help in writing a letter to the bank.

Charlie's veranda
Curiosity is getting the better of Rhys and he digs out Jim's file from his bag to look for his next of kin but nobody is listed. He then gets out his mobile and calls someone...

Charlie's
...and it was Karl and he comes into the bar wondering why Rhys called him. Karl initially doesn't want to know (about Jim/Susan) until Rhys adds that he thinks Susan being his medical power of attorney is a step too far. This is news to Karl but replies that it's nothing to do with him.

RHYS: That doesn't make it any less disconcerting.
KARL: Susan is supporting a dying man.
RHYS: A man with no next of kin. A man who was a virtual stranger up until a few weeks ago now she's making life changing decisions for him. Hey man, I just want to know what her agenda is.

Karl replies that she doesn't have one but Rhys explains that he doesn't know that and he has a duty of care to his patient. "It has to stop," Rhys demands. Karl asks what he wants him to do and is told to get Susan to back off... for her sake as well as Jim's otherwise he will take it further.

KARL: I don't respond to threats Rhys. Jim chose Susan's advice over yours, deal with it! Take your wounded pride elsewhere.

Number 28
Susan tries to hide the attorney papers when Karl comes home but he quickly tells her he knows what they are and that it wasn't Jim who told him.

SUSAN: Rhys.
KARL: I had to stand there and defend you. I had no idea what was going on.

Susan apologies and explains how Rhys knew and that she snapped at him.

KARL: I DON'T CARE ABOUT RHYS. I care about us, what's happening here in this home - all the lies, the sneaking around, withholding information.
SUSAN: I didn't tell you about the trip because I knew you'd be upset.
KARL: Oh Susan. Susan I've waited 30 years to go to Peru, I can wait another 30 years but what I can't do... What I can't do is face another day feeling like this. I don't know what's going on.
SUSAN: I tried to pull back, you supported what I was doing, you even encouraged me.
KARL: I encouraged your friendship but you're starting to put this man ahead of our marriage. It's too much Susan. Look Susan, I know what it's like to be in this situations, if you're not careful you're in danger of losing yourself.
SUSAN: (tearfully) No one should have to face their death alone and Jim has no- one and I wanted to help him. It felt good to be needed. I didn't know that he would come to depend on me like this but he did and that's my fault. And I know what it's doing to me, I know what it's doing to us and I'm so sorry. I don't want to make these decisions for him and how can I walk away now.

Susan totally breaks down and Karl is quick to pull her into a hug and comfort her, tearful himself.

Hospital
Karl runs into Jim as he makes his way into work. Jim mentions to him about the papers and that he will understand if she says no, asking just to let him know when they've decided. He walks off but Karl starts talking so he turns back.

KARL: The problem is Jim she won't. She won't say no to you.
JIM: I'm really grateful to her, she's done so much. The last thing I want to do is take advantage.
KARL: I know that.
JIM: And I am aren't I?

Karl sits him down and explains that they are very sympathetic to his situation. Jim interrupts to ask him to be straight with him.

KARL: Susan cares about you a great deal.
JIM: But.
KARL: There are circumstances, reasons why she may have given more of herself than she should have. You know Susan would be very upset if she knew we were having this conversation.

Jim thanks him for the heads up and Karl offers him organisations he can recommend so that he gets all the support he needs although does add he doesn't want it to sound like he has to end his friendship with Susan especially since she wants to be there for him.

JIM: But you're asking me to keep my distance?
KARL: I'm asking you to think of her and the effect this has on her.

Jim nods his head in acceptance at what Karl has said to him.

Oval
Karl is back to the oval to run and work out (sit ups) although it looks like he also feels guilty at what he said to Jim.

Number 30
With an outfit for the bank manager chosen, Sonya grabs the book Jade has been writing in - her reality check of reasons why she hates Kyle... which runs to 3 pages!

JADE: There's a lot to hate.

Sonya begins to read through the reasons she hates him and then reminds Jade that she does the same things too like drinking milk from the carton and putting her feet on the table!

SONYA: Why don't you just tell him how you feel and see where it leads?
JADE: 'Cos I don't want to see where it leads. Ah always thinks he's right, that's another one!
SONYA: What are you afraid of?
JADE: Not everyone has to have a boyfriend to be happy Son.
SONYA: You can still be with someone and be a strong independent woman JJ.
JADE: I like my life the way it is thank you very much. I got over Justin Timberlake I'll get over Kyle Canning.
SONYA: Well let me know how that one turns out for you.

Number 26
Jade finds another reason for the book when she gets home - Kyle's left his trainers at the door almost causing her to trip over them. "Yuk," she then tells him after retrieving an apple that was lying around and instructs him not to gross out their new housemate!

He asks her for help with his quote (he's trying to give Sonya 10% off) although after an up close and personal moment with him (she was leaning over his shoulder) she wonders if he's selling himself too cheap as the quote is very low. Kyle explains that it's because it's her sister and she needs a break. Unknown to him this has an effect on Jade - she goes to her book and rips out the things she hates about him pages from her book and puts them into the bin.

Number 30
Jade is contemplating life... well a life with Kyle in it as she slouches in a chair chatting to her sister. Sonya tries to warn her that if she doesn't make a move, Kyle may move onto someone else, and she'll be the one to suffer.

JADE: Or if I do something, he's not interested then I suffer anyway.
SONYA: Look this... You know, this isn't even how Kyle reacts; it's about you and getting these feelings off your chest. All this fluffing around and this agonising it just isn't you. You're not happy with the way things are so toughen up and do something about it!

Tomorrow on Neighbours
- Tash telling Andrew and Summer about her deal with Michael and the three of them heading back to #32.
- Sonya asking Michael if there is a party going on at his place?
- Michael replying that Tash is just trying to wind him up.
- Jade suggesting to Kyle that they have dinner tonight.
- Michelle asking if Jade is having a date.
- Sonya impressed at how good her sister looks dolled up and giving her a last minute pep talk.

And as the titles go up there is a new addition to the cast - Rhys Lawson: Ben Barber.
