- Mark temporarily moving into Number Thirty
- Callum finding his old piggy bank and getting upset with Sonya
- Sophie telling Sonya she's bad news
Number 24
Sophie's harassing Kate while she's putting the shopping away, telling her she doesn't want Sonya living with them anymore. Kate tries to remain neutral about the situation and lets her sister know she's not about to take sides. Sonya emerges from her room, looking teary, and tells the girls she's going for a walk.
Ramsay Street
Kate looks for Sonya but Mark's the only one in the street. He tells Kate that he saw Sonya walk off and asks if she's OK. Kate says she's fine and they stand around awkwardly for a while before going their separate ways.
Number 30
Toadie's packing away the parcel when Callum emerges from his room. Toadie knows that Callum's upset at the moment, but thinks they should hold onto the box in case he wants to look through it again in the future. Callum agrees just as Mark walks in the door. Mark can see that Cal's down in the dumps so offers to take him to the police station for a while, which makes Cal's eyes light up.
Erinsborough Police Station
Callum's thrilled to be there at first, especially when he sees some cops with guns, but he soon realises that Mark does a lot of desk work. Mark gets tense when Callum won't stop fidgeting around and asking a million and one questions.
CALLUM: So where do you keep your handcuffs?
MARK: They're in my desk drawer, mate.
CALLUM: Are you sure that you don't have a taser? Because if you do and I don't get to see it...
MARK: No I do not have a taser.
CALLUM: You should get one. Hey, what about pepper spray?
MARK: No pepper spray.
CALLUM: Grenades?
MARK: I'm not in the army.
Callum looks through some folders and messes around with Mark's neatly organised stationery before sighing and taking off the police cap he's wearing.
Number 24
Jade leaves a voicemail for Sonya asking her where she's got to. Sophie goes out the back to read, barely making conversation with Jade when she speaks to her. Jade tells Kate she and Sonya can find somewhere else to live but Kate says Sophie will eventually come around. Jade mentions she saw Mark's car in the street but becomes annoyed with him when she realises he's staying with Toadie and snits that he's obviously taken his side. Kate looks bewildered by Jade's outburst.
Erinsborough Police Station
Callum appears intrigued as he watches a cop take fingerprints of a young girl (whose been arrested for theft) and lock her up. The girl demands to know when she's getting out, but the cop says when she can come up with the bail money. Mark finds Cal and says he shouldn't be wandering around by himself, but Callum's still intrigued by the girl in lock- up.
Charlie's Bar
Callum finds out from Mark that the girl was only eighteen and asks him how he knows if someone's guilty. Mark says he always has to look for a motive - it can be something like anger or greed - but people can always get wrapped up in their own problems without realising they're hurting others. Callum and Mark both ponder on this (thinking about Sonya and Kate), when Toadie arrives to pick up his son. Mark quickly dashes out of the bar, telling the boys there's something he needs to do.
First Commercial Break
Lassiter's Complex/Number 30
Toadie's trying to get Callum interested in kicking the footy or playing cricket when they get home but Cal keeps giving him half- hearted answers. They stop when they see Sonya sitting by herself on a bench, but only Toadie approaches her. Sonya apologises again for the piggy bank ordeal, but Toadie says that every time she's near Callum he just gets more and more confused.
TOADIE: You need to leave. Do the right thing by Callum and go.
Sonya wanders around the park by herself for a while before sitting under the rotunda and crying. Meanwhile, Toadie tapes up the parcel at home while Callum looks on, before taking it out to the garage. While he's gone, Callum takes out the container he saved from the box with his Pop's war medals in it.
Mark approaches Kate while she's cleaning some tables outside and surprises her by asking if she wants to catch up for coffee later. Kate smiles and agrees as Mark says he'll pick her up after her shift tonight.
Harold's Store
Sophie doesn't understand why her sister's in a good mood but soon finds out about the coffee date with Mark - which she immediately blabs about to Jade and Kyle. Those two aren't as impressed with Mark as Kate is, with Jade pointing out that a coffee date seems kind of lame. Kyle also points out that as a guy, he only makes 'easy' dates like that when he wants to keep his options open. Kate says Mark's not like that but you can tell they've put the seeds of doubt in her mind.
Number 24
Jade finds Sonya writing in an old journal and asks if she's OK. Sonya pretends that she's fine and then asks Jade if she'll go and get some takeaway from the Thai place they love. When Jade leaves, though, Sonya takes an envelope out of her journal and leaves it on the counter- top for her sister. She then retrieves a suitcase from the hall - looks like someone's about to leave Ramsay Street.
Second Commercial Break
Number 24
Sonya looks at a photo of herself, Callum and Toadie. Just as Sonya's about to walk out the door, she hears a knock. She quickly puts her suitcase to the side and opens the door, surprised to see Callum standing there. Callum hands over the war medals and says Sonya should have them since she knows the most about them.
CALLUM: Maybe one day you could tell me some more stories about Pop?
SONYA: (full of hope) Yeah, I'd like that.
Callum gives her a small smile before he leaves, while Sonya can't believe her good luck. A short while later she's on her way back to the bedroom with her belongings when Jade gets home. Jade's outraged at first that her sister was about to take off and only leave her a note as a goodbye, but Sonya tears up and says that Callum brought her the medals and wants her to tell him more about them one day. Jade hugs her sister, who is relieved she has another chance with her son.
Number 30/Harold's Store
Callum confides in Mark that he went to see Sonya. He feels awful that he's going behind his dad's back, but Mark says that Cal should just have a chat to Toadie. Cal replies that he doesn't want to stress his dad out even more. Toadie walks in and says they're going to have nachos for dinner and invites Mark to stay with them.
Kate's putting on make- up for her date while listening to Sophie complain about the living situation with Sonya again. Sophie says she's just sticking up for Callum, but Kate says she can see Sonya's POV as well. Kate tries to lessen the arguing and asks her sister if she looks OK, but Soph can barely muster up enough enthusiasm to say yes. Things turn to crap though when Mark rings and asks Kate if they can have a raincheck on the coffee. Not realising he's just being a good mate to Toadie and Cal, Kate glumly says they can reschedule for another time.
Third Commercial Break
Harold's Store/Number 30
Kyle bumps into Kate and calls Mark a tool when he finds out he's backed out of the date. Kate pretends she's not upset about it, but Kyle can see through her act and asks if she wants to hang out with him tonight. Kate smiles and says she'd love to. Meanwhile, Mark's stuck between Callum and Toadie while they play a zombie game on the Wii, wishing he could be out with Kate.

(Looks like Susan has nixed that idea and visited #26 instead)
SUSAN: Wasn't doing much, thought I'd pop over and see how you're settling in.
SUMMER: (to Lyn) So much for a lazy family day at home.
(Kate explains what happened with Kyle to Jade - Jade's suss)
