Lou giving Lucas chores to do around the house; Kate worried Lou's scaring Lucas off.
Susan talking about the anonymous messages she's received.
Rebecca saying how always has to deal with everything alone; saying she hates Paul; begging him to wake up.
Susan reports that Paul's woken up.
Paul is opening his eyes and sees Karl, Becca, Andrew and Declan standing there talking. Karl tries to get Paul to respond, but he's lethargic and not able to communicate. Rebecca seems a little over- eager to get in there and make Paul talk immediately, as if he's woken up from a twenty minute nap, so Karl tells her to let him recover in his own time.
Cut to some minutes later where Andrew stares through the side room window at his dad, and Karl is telling Becca, Dec and Susan that coming out of a coma is a slow process, and it will take time. Rebecca is adamant that Paul will recover fully, but Karl is less definite.
Andrew asks to see his dad and Karl grants him a few minutes. Paul opens his eyes as his son talks to him, and Andrew chats away. Paul reaches his hand to Andrew's water bottle so Andrew moves his head forward and offers him some sips.
Ringo is on the phone to Donna telling her about Paul waking up. Zeke and Kate are agreeing that they'll go to the hospital together as soon as Kate picks up Sophie. Declan comes in, and explains he's going to the hospital and agrees they can tag along; this bothers Kate, so she tells Zeke she and Sophie will go along later.
Outside the hospital Susie- Q is on the phone to Lyn and reports that Paul is awake but hasn't said anything. She sees Ringo and Zeke, and Kate and Sophie also turn up. Susan takes Sophie inside whilst Kate asks Ringo and Zeke to look out for Declan because she's not able to help him right now. Ringo tells his friend that they can be there for both of them, but Kate insists she's fine; she just wants Declan to have his mates around him.
Inside the hospital Sophie arrives and announces how weird it is that Paul isn't wide awake, given that he's been asleep for so long. Karl announces some slight improvements on the test results, and Toadie brings in a card from Callum with quotes from ‘The Art Of War' – nice continuity touch there!
Becca tells Toadie she's coping just fine before going in to see Paul. Andrew watches Rebecca, Soph and Declan at Paul's bedside.
Lucas is fixing a car when Lou arrives with the megaphone, asking where his coffee is. Luckily Kate arrives and tells Lucas that Paul's awake. Lucas complains that with Lou at home and at work he never gets a break from him. He contemplates a holiday.
Sophie is reading the quotes from Callum's card, and even Paul looks bored. Andrew lingers at the door and Rebecca calls him in, and Karl brings Susan in to see Paul, too. She looks a little shocked to see the state of Paul, but shows him the front of the newspaper pointing out that readership is up, and complaints are down since she's been in charge!
Paul is agitated and Rebecca insists on giving him a GIANT cotton bud soaked in water to suck but he doesn't want it. She persists, and Sophie decides to leave with Susan in close pursuit. Declan asks Karl what they should tell Paul about the accident, and Karl explains that Paul has to remember in his own time.
Andrew questions Declan, wondering why he's treating Paul like an invalid, and Declan apologises. Andrew loudly reminds Dec that Paul's not his dad, and he will get through it. He chastises Rebecca for helping Paul with his water like he's an invalid, and smashes it out of her hand. She shouts at Andrew to leave – being out of a coma is more complicated than Andrew likes to make out. Rebecca starts to cry before apologising to Paul.
Rebecca walks out of the room and Andrew says he wants to see his dad, tell him he didn't mean to go off just now; but the nurse is in with Paul and Becca says he needs to rest. Declan offers his mum some advice: don't shut out Paul's family. Becca knows he's right, but Paul's so helpless, and the reality is that no- one knows if or when it will get better. Declan puts his arm around his mum.
Outside Harold's, Kate is serving Lou and tells him to go easy on Lucas in case he drives him away. Susan arrives with Sophie and tells Kate she'll take Soph home to feed the animals until Kate can pick her up.
Round the corner Lucas sits at another table, avoiding Lou. He tells Kate that he looked into taking a holiday but he can't afford it and can't cover the garage. He admits that he might have to move out; he can't cope with Lou pushing him all the time. Kate has an idea: what if Lou went on a break, instead of Lucas?
Inside the store Ringo is worried about Kate, and says he'll call Donna about it. Lucas shows Lou a great business idea: five classic cars in Queensland that they could make a lot of money from them at the garage; Lou declines, as he's still breaking Lucas in. Lucas facepalms himself with the paper.
Andrew paces around the house, angry as usual. He sees Cat on the couch on and takes him round to Tash's.
Tash arrives home to find Andrew on the sofa with Cat on his lap. She asks if he got her messages, and asks how Paul is. Andrew says that no- one will tell him anything, it seems to be all about Rebecca; and if it's all too much he gets banned from the room. Andrew admits that his dad can't even talk.
His phone rings, and it's Declan, telling him that Diana Marshall has been let out of jail. He worries she'll skip town so he runs. Tash races after him.
Andrew is at Paul's bedside, telling him that Diana's about to leave town; Paul has to tell them what happened so they can put her in jail. He has to do it now! Andrew gets angry at Paul, so Tash tells him to stop pushing too hard. Andrew tells Paul that his dad wouldn't let Diana get away with it.
Lou presents Kate and Lucas with coffee and they push for him to go to Queensland to get the cars. Lou finally cracks and tells Lucas that he's passed his test with flying colours. Lucas is annoyed at the ‘joke'.
LOU: Whilst I'm in Queensland I'm going to need someone to keep an eye on my helper at the car yard.
LUCAS: Oh no you don't!
LOU: Or me and my megaphone could stay.
LUCAS: Consider it done.
Lou packs up the car and Sophie hugs him goodbye; she can't believe he's going away again. He's hugging everyone as if he's never coming back; he tells Susan to continue mending bridges with Lyn, and agrees to drop in on Harry (Ramsay) on the way. As he gets in the car he hands Sophie a bag, reminding her she knows what to do; she promises to keep Lucas in line.
As Lou drives off Lucas breathes a sigh of relief: no more demands!
SOPHIE: (through the megaphone) Attention, Lucas Fitzgerald...
Lucas chases Sophie up the driveway...
Andrew sits at Paul's bedside; Paul seems agitated. Andrew tells his dad he hates seeing him like this; it's wrong that everyone is doing things for him. He admits that he was so angry at Paul for taking him out of the will, and apologises for the really stupid things he's done. He reminds his dad that he's a fighter and needs to get better soon. Andrew gets up and walks out.
Paul summons all his strength and says his son's name. Andrew yells for Karl and Rebecca.
Cut to moments later where Karl is talking to Paul, but Andrew keeps butting in, telling his dad to speak, to let them know what happened. Karl keeps shushing Andrew but he's not listening, so Karl says he'll have to leave.
But Andrew insists, and Paul starts to speak. Andrew asks him what he remembers.
PAUL: Falling. Arguing. (Alarmed) Pushed!
FVO: After weeks in a coma...
Shot of Paul opening his eyes.
FVO ...you finally find out...
Shot of Diana. Shot of Rebecca. Shot of Paul.
FVO: ...who pushed Paul...
PAUL: You see, I remember who pushed me from the mezzanine.
Shot of the glass smashing when Paul fell.
FVO: A big week of Neighbours on Ten.
