Recap
- Lucas living in the Blokes Club HQ
- Diana calling a mystery guy the night Paul was pushed
- Andrew revving up to find out who pushed his dad
Number 22
Summer thinks Natasha is only helping Andrew to put more attention on herself. Natasha denies this and thinks that Summer is just getting in the way. They leave their bickering- fest in the kitchen to sit with Andrew and talk about Diana - their next suspect. Summer tells them that Lyn mentioned Diana making a phone call the night Paul was pushed. They decide to head down to Harold's.
Harold's Store
The teens wait impatiently as Lou sorts through a stack of old bills while he chats to Susan (who is still having trouble operating her new iPhone). Susan also speaks with Andrew and says she's glad he's leaving the investigating up to the police. The teens finally get their hands on the store's phone bill and sort through it until there's only one unrecognisable number from The Night™. Summer dials it, but it goes straight to message bank. Next stop - stalking Diana.
Charlie's Bar
Michael finds Lucas looking at rental properties in the paper. Lucas has had enough of washing his undies outside in the middle of winter, but he can only afford a share house at the moment. The Scooby Gang arrive and Natasha is immediately bombarded by Kyle who wants to "hang" but she doesn't look keen to see him. She brushes him off and tells Michael that she'll be late for dinner.
Hotel - Exterior
The teens lurk around the front of a posh hotel, waiting for a Diana sighting. Summer doesn't think they should follow her - Diana's too smart for that. But of course Natasha ignores Summer and convinces Andrew they should stalk Diana.
Number 24
Sophie watches Kate try and fix a shelf, but it's entirely possible she's just made it wonkier. They stack some books on, which seem to stay in place, but they celebrate too early and the shelf collapses.
KATE: What should we fix next?
SOPHIE: Nothing important.
Harold's Store
Kate's worried about telling Lou that they need a new housemate to help them out, but Sophie thinks she's just being a sook. Kate needn't have worried, though, Lou thinks it's a great idea. It'll save him cleaning out the gutters and replacing bathroom tiles.
Street Somewhere
The teens perform the least stealthiest job ever of tailing Diana as they stomp around behind her in broad daylight. They eventually think to hide behind a fence to watch her have a tense chat with her mystery man from The Night™. Summer calls the number from the phone bill again, and mystery man takes out his mobile (but ignores the call). Andrew looks ropable. When mystery man takes off, the kids follow him. Natasha says something to annoy Andrew, so he tells her to get lost.
Summer and Andrew keep following the man, but Natasha decides to head down an alleyway by herself (as a shortcut) and spies the man dumping something into a bin. She runs over after he leaves and fishes out a paper bag, but the man comes back and grabs onto her arm, asking what the hell she's doing. Andrew and Summer rescue her and the man storms away.
Today's nostalgia photo is of Doug and Brad Willis on a fishing trip back in 1993.
First Commercial Break
Street Somewhere
Andrew and Summer think Natasha is an absolute idiot for following the man and remind her they could have all been in danger. But they soon shut up when Natasha shows them what she fished out of the bin - the mystery man's phone.
Harold's Store
Lou overhears Lucas and Michael talking about Lucas's rental woes, so Lou tells them #24 is up for offer. But Sophie and Kate have already put up a 'housemate wanted' sign and Kyle has grabbed a phone number ticket, so Lucas has competition. Susan makes a random appearance to say that both guys should sit an interview so it's fair. Thank you random iPhone- challenged Susan.
Charlie's Bar
Kyle tries to chat to Natasha again, but she's more interested in checking out mystery man's phone with Summer and Andrew and putting their grotty fingerprints all over the evidence. You are the suckiest Scooby Gang ever. They're disappointed to discover that the man has wiped everything on his SIM card, except for that one missed call from Summer. Suddenly the phone rings. They let it go to voicemail and find out it's a missed call from Diana telling "Jack" (someone loves their Mellencamp songs) that the police have started following her and that he needs to leave town.
Number 22
Andrew hands the phone over to Detective Brennan, but the detective is not a happy bunny. He tells Andrew he can't use the evidence because it's from possible stolen property. Andrew gets cranky because the cops aren't following up on it.
ANDREW: This is real evidence and you're just telling me off like I'm some little kid.
BRENNAN: You are a kid.
ANDREW: Well then don't think where you got it, just take the phone.
BRENNAN: You think we've been sitting around pushing paper over what happened to your dad? This could put our own investigation in jeopardy. If I use this, we throw all our work out the window. The case we've been building? Gone. Leave this to us!
You tell him, dude! Andrew mopes and realises how epically he's stuffed things.
Number 26
Michael finds the teens all together and rips through them, Natasha especially, for being so stupid and putting themselves in harms way. He reminds Natasha she's all he's got and he wouldn't know what to do if he lost her. He ends up hugging his daughter in a half- angry/half- relieved kind of way. Summer notices Andrew skulking away and realises he's missing not having a parental figure looking out for him.
Second Commercial Break
Harold's Store
Summer finds Andrew and sits with him. He thought Lyn wouldn't have let Summer out after what happened, but she says she ducked away before her Nan got home. Summer gets worried when Andrew says he's not done with the investigation - the cops can get stuffed. He won't rest until he knows the person who pushed his dad is behind bars. It's the least he can do to allay his guilty conscience.
ANDREW: What I said to him, and what he said to me, I cannot leave it like that. I've stuffed up so many times but this time I'm scared. This could be it.
SUMMER: He's your dad, he will give you another chance.
ANDREW: He's Paul Robinson, he doesn't do anything unless he wants to, it doesn't matter who you are. I've got to make this right. Getting this person that did this to him, that's the only way that I can do it.
Number 24
Sophie, Kate and Lou sit down to interview Lucas and Kyle for the housemate position. Lou is clearly pro- Lucas (not fond of "meathead" Kyle), and Sophie is swaying more towards Kyle, but Kate is trying to stay neutral. In separate interviews they ask the boys how their washing skills are (Lucas wins that round), what they think about Guitar Hero (Kyle wins that round) and how the would handle a spider in the bathroom. Kyle is like king of the spiders while Lucas just looks petrified - but Lucas wins some points back by saying he can fix practically anything. Since Kate is playing Switzerland, it's up to her to make the final decision.
Hotel - Exterior
Diana is surprised to find Andrew waiting for her outside. He tells her that he knows about Paul cheating with her and says she ruined his life.
DIANA: I didn't ask your dad to steal from Lassiter's, or cheat on his wife.
ANDREW: No, you just backed him into a corner so he had no choice.
DIANA: Take the blinkers off, Andrew. Your dad's not the hero you want him to be. And deep down you know that's true. Maybe that's why you pushed him?
Andrew's eyes flash with anger and he grabs onto Diana's arm, telling her that if anyone pushed his dad it was her and Jack. Diana denies knowing anyone called Jack and says Andrew's hurting her. Detective Brennan and his cohort show up just in time to break them up. Andrew thinks they're letting Diana get away, but the cops slap some handcuffs on her and arrest her "on suspicion of conspiracy to murder Paul Robinson". Diana's outraged and Andrew breathes a sigh of relief as she's taken away.
Third Commercial Break
Harold's Store
Lucas notices Susan sitting with the teens and is stunned when Michael tells him that Diana was just arrested. Susan says they've just come back from the hospital and that Rebecca and Declan seem OK. Andrew's worried what might have happened if the police didn't rock up when they did, but Susan tells him not to even think about it. She gets an email alert on her phone (after finally figuring out how to use it) and walks away from the gang to check it. She's surprised to see what it says: DIANA DIDN'T DO IT. It's from an anonymous sender - let the next mystery commence.

TOADIE: Where were you when Paul was pushed?
(Diana shrugs at him - Meanwhile, Susan is mulling over the mystery)
SUSAN: From what I can gather quite a few people had a motive.
TOADIE: Diana's adamant that she didn't do it.
SUSAN: So it's possible that she didn't push Paul.
(Quick flash of Diana grabbing onto Susan's hands, pleading with her)
(Susan gets another email on her phone)
DID YOU GET MY MESSAGE? DIANA DIDN'T PUSH PAUL.
SUSAN: Is there any way to trace it back to the sender?
