Police Station
Toadie tells Sonya to look to him to see if she should answer questions or not. Sonya says she wants to do the interview alone.

Number 26
Andrew doesn't understand why Natasha called the police on Sonya. She says they can get some answers out of her and stop following him. Summer yells that she's been completely ridiculous. Natasha maintains that she was looking out for Andrew.

ANDREW: I don't need someone looking out for me, I needed answers!

He storms off to the police station. Summer calls Rebecca and explains what's happened.

Police Station
Sonya is shaken up but free to go. She and Toadie head for the door but Andrew barges in and demands to know why she's already leaving. Toadie tells him to back off. Rebecca comes in and tries to calm Andrew down, but Andrew is still shouting at Brennan for letting Sonya go. He wants answers! Rebecca apologises and Brennan helpfully comments that Andrew has some anger issues.

REBECCA: Well, what do you expect, his dad is in hospital.
DET. BRENNAN: It's tough on all of you, how are you coping?
REBECCA: I'll be better when Paul wakes up.
DET. BRENNAN: I'm sure you'll have as many questions for him as we do.

Andrew wants to know what questions. Rebecca bundles him out of the station.

Number 30
Callum wants to know what happened, but Sonya would rather just have a cup of tea and not talk about it, the police just wanted to clear a couple of things up, nothing major. Toadie can't imagine Sonya being charged with assault. Sonya is still on edge but says she was a different person back then. There's nothing to tell. Flustered, she decides to leave.

Hospital
Declan asks Andrew about what was found with Sonya. Andrew says that the police aren't the only ones keeping things from him - apparently Rebecca will have some questions for Paul when he wakes up. Declan agrees to tell Andrew, but he won't thank him for telling him. Andrew looks a mixture of confused and disgusted when he learns that Paul cheated on Rebecca with Diana.

Harold's
Tash is unhappy because Andrew isn't answering her calls. She voices the opinion that it's all her fault and Summer doesn't disagree. Upset that she's getting no support from Summer, Tash leaves.

Callum comes in to find Sonya and asks if she and Toadie are fighting. Sonya tells him it's nothing like that. Cal reminds her that they promised to tell each other the truth. Sonya says they're fine, she's just talked out. Talking to the police brought back bad memories that she doesn't want to talk about with anyone.

CALLUM: Dad says that talking about stuff makes you feel better.
SONYA: It's not as simple as that.
CALLUM: He reckons that's what families do, make each other better.
SONYA: Yeah, well I'm not used to being part of a proper family.

Callum thinks that must suck and Sonya admits that sometimes it's hard to let someone else try and make it better. Callum wonders why she doesn't just tell Toadie that.

Charlie's
Toadie orders a coffee while Natasha pours her heart out to her dad. The whole street hates her because she called the cops. Mike tells her that from now on they need to stay away from the police and the whole investigation. Tash tells him that Andrew is being followed by the police and she's really worried because she doesn't know what's up with him. Toadie listens in.

NATASHA: Why won't he talk to me?
MICHAEL: You can't push these things Tash.
NATASHA: Andrew should be able to trust me.
MICHAEL: Yeah, why?
NATASHA: Because we're close. Because he can rely on me.
MICHAEL: Well he's not used to having people to rely on is he?

Mike assures his daughter that Andrew will come to her when he's ready. Toadie ponders this.

Hospital
Rebecca tells Andrew that they will get through this, they're still a family. No matter what happened, his dad is still his dad. Andrew states rather than questions that Rebecca will stand by him all the way, because she's the perfect wife. Rebecca is unsure of what Andrew is insinuating. He suggests that if she had been a better wife perhaps Paul wouldn't have cheated. He's angry that everyone knew except him. Rebecca tells him that she didn't want to interfere in their relationship, she was trying to protect him and the family.

ANDREW: If we were a real family you would have told me but you didn't. What else has he done that you haven't told me about?

Rebecca follows Andrew out of the hospital. She reminds him that it's her who Paul cheated on. She didn't want him to hate his father. Andrew gets a bit too close to Rebecca, his anger boiling over. Declan stands in the way to protect his mum and the boys start to fight. Just as well Mike just got out of his car. He intervenes.

Hospital
Mike explains that he came to see how Rebecca was and to apologise if Natasha made things worse. Rebecca thinks it's probably Sonya who needs the apology, not her. They go to get a coffee. Declan calls a truce with Andrew and agrees that they probably should have told him what happened, but he doesn't think it's a good idea that Andrew goes crashing around looking for someone to blame (That's a change of tune!). He tells Andrew the whole story about Paul and Diana. Andrew realises he has a big slice of blame to shoulder himself.

Number 22
Andrew take some time to peruse the family photos. Summer lets herself in and realises that something is up. He tells her about Paul cheating. He thought it would be different with Rebecca. He believes that when Paul wakes up and remembers their fight he won't ever want to talk to him again.

Lassiters Lake/Jetty
Sonya is sitting staring into the fairly scummy, ashes-riddled lake. Toadie comes along and she offers him something that has chocolate chips in it for morning tea. Morning tea? What time IS it? Toadie apologises to her for trying to force her to open up, the two of them are ace together and what they have now is what counts. What happened in the past doesn't matter. Sonya explains that she's not shutting him out, she's just not used to letting anyone in. She starts to tell him about the assault. Toadie tries to stop her, but she wants to tell him.

She tells him that she was still gambling and she maxed out her mother's credit card, she lost over $10,000. Her sister tried to organise an intervention but she lost it. They argued, her sister grabbed her, she pushed her sister and she fell and broke her arm. Her sister pressed charges to try and scare her - which worked, but the family was torn apart and so she took off.

SONYA: I hoped they'd come after me, but I haven't heard from them since.

Toadie is touched that she told him and tries to cheer her up.

TOADIE: You know, my brother scares me every time he calls. Normally he's only allowed one phone call....from jail.

They have a bit of a chuckle. Aww.

Hospital
Andrew bears peace offerings of coffee for Rebecca and Declan. Rebecca apologises for the way he found out. Andrew thinks that trying to find out who pushed Paul has only made things worse. He's made a lot of enemies and found out he's not even worth it.

REBECCA: Andrew he is still your dad.
ANDREW: What do you know it could have been my fault. You know if he needed to keep Diana on side...

Rebecca is firm that Paul made his own decision, Andrew shouldn't have to go through something like this at his age. She reminds him that he's not alone and he should give himself a break. Declan tells him to pull the pin on the whole crusade - he's not going to find what he's looking for.

Harold's
Natasha is still stressing that Andrew hasn't called her. How can she tell him she only wanted to help, if he won't answer his phone. Michael think she should just give him time to cool down and then just be his mate, let him know that she's there for him. Tash thinks that's a bit touchy feely for someone who hates him. Michael corrects her, he hates Andrew dating her, he doesn't hate Andrew. Sonya and Toadie come in so Tash asks her dad if they can go somewhere else. Mike suggest she apologises instead. Natasha braces herself and goes over to Sonya. By the way, Tash and Sonya could well be sisters, it doesn't help that they're dressed the same, with the same hair. Just saying in case there's a bizarre plot twist in the future - it was predicted here first. Anyway, Tash apologises and says she was just trying to help Andrew.

TOADIE: Your way of helping out is pretty twisted.

Sonya accepts the apology, she just wants to put it all behind her.

NATASHA: So who did you attack anyway?
SONYA: Yeeeaah, you're really pushing it...

Tash rejoins her satisfied father. She wants reassurance that whoever pushed Paul will be found. Mike says the longer it drags on the harder it will be, which is why she's got to find a way of keeping Andrew's mind off it.

Number 30
Everyone has just finished eating, but Toadie thinks he and Sonya are just getting started. He kisses her and Cal decides that if they're going to be gross he's going to his room. They wave goodbye to him and continue kissing. They are interrupted, however, by a noise from the computer. Steph is trying to contact Toadie on skype. Callum rejoins them and they ask how Steph is, she seems a bit down. Steph's fine, just tired. Toadie offers to take a few days off to come up and see her and the baby. Sonya stands awkwardly in the background. Steph isn't sure when she's coming home, she was thinking of going to see Dan first. Toadie wonders if that's wise. Sonya starts to look a bit tearful.

STEPH: Stop worrying, you're starting to sound like mum.
TOADIE: As long as I don't start dressing like her, then we'd have a problem wouldn't we?

Toad, Cal and Steph have a chuckle and Sonya walks away.

Hospital
Cake always makes Summer feel better when she's down, so she tucks into some on Andrew's behalf. Andrew thinks Declan might be right, maybe he should drop it all. Summer is inclined to agree. Natasha finally tracks down Andrew, she asks if he hates her. He doesn't, he's kind of used to her causing big dramas now. She's glad because she's thought of a way they can make a last try to find out who pushed his dad. Andrew informs her he's decided to drop it. He's going to let the police do their job. Tash won't drop it though, the longer it takes to find the person makes it less likely that they will. Summer encourages Andrew to ignore her, but Natasha hits a nerve when she says that if her dad was in a coma, she'd be doing everything she could. They can go about it properly this time, no stuff ups, no witch hunts. Andrew looks interested.

Number 22
Andrew calls the police station to find out if there is any new information on the case. Brennan says there is none and they can't discuss it over the phone. He hangs up. Annoyed, Andrew calls back. Brennan tells him he's wasting their time, let them get on with doing their job. Andrew decides that he has to do something, he's not just a kid who can be shut down. Natasha agrees. Andrew says they have to start with Diana.
