Sonya not wanting anything to do with Steph and Toadie ever again

Number 26
As Libby, Lyn and Summer enjoy getting ready for the wedding - popping the champers and eating cake - Steph stares into space, oblivious to what's going on around her. Summer and Libby both love how Lyn has styled Steph's hair and think Toadie might cry when he sees her walking down the aisle.

LIBBY: He's finally marrying the love of his life.

Steph's smile disappears and she gets all reflective again.

Number 30
Toadie is looking at a picture of Sonya on his mobile when Callum appears with Charlie. Toadie distractedly reminds them to get ready and Callum asks if he's okay. Toadie just passes it off as wedding nerves.

Number 26
Steph starts crying and Libby and Summer rush over to her as she says she's a bit overwhelmed. Lyn sends the girls to Harold's to get the cake and when she's alone with Steph tells her to pull herself together, otherwise she'll give the game away. Steph says she's just tired. Lyn thinks people will start guessing, leading Steph to admit that Sonya knows; she guessed and there was no point in denying it. Lyn sighs.

Country Road
Sonya is standing by a car with the hood up and steam billowing from the engine, when a ute pulls up. She's surprised to see the Roadside Assistance dude is none other than Lucas.

Number 30
Toadie is ironing and trying to organise Charlie and Callum but Cal is deep in thought about Sonya. He thinks that since she and Toadie are friends again then maybe she could come to the wedding.

Number 26
Lyn thinks Steph was mad to tell Sonya - what if she tells Lucas or Libby? Steph says she told her she wouldn't tell. Lyn asks if she believes her but Steph doesn't need to worry since Sonya is leaving for Perth - they'll never see her again!

Country Road
Sonya is annoyed with her rubbish car and Lucas asks if she's okay apart from that. She tells him to just fix it - she wants to get out of here.

Number 30
Toadie has just finished telling Callum about Sonya moving and Callum isn't happy - they need her to help Rocky get through his final assessment. Toadie sadly tells him they'll just have to learn to do without her.

Number 30
Steph admits that Toadie doesn't know that Sonya knows and Lyn is pleased at this. But Steph thinks if he did then maybe he and Sonya could work things out. Lyn convinces her that Sonya's had her chance and Steph has come too far on this now.

(There is now a jigsaw puzzle style transition featuring Toadie, Steph, Sonya and her busted vehicle, as if to show all the fragments of the crazy web of lies they are in. Interesting...)

Harold's Store
Libby reassures Summer that Steph is alright; everyone gets emotional on their wedding day and Steph is six months pregnant to boot! Summer thinks Steph was remembering the last time she nearly got married (yes, *nearly*, thought you were going to get a reference to her running off to the country with Max and the kids? 'Fraid not. Although it would be cool, continuity wise, if Sum was to mention how worried she was about her bad luck that day after her spell on Lisa. Just saying.) Libby doesn't think that's an issue; Steph and Toadie are sorted now.

Spotting Andrew, she goes over to tell him she spoke to Harry last night and he really loves the new place - he's been made very welcome. Summer thinks that it would be nice if Andrew contacted him after being such a jerk when Harry left but Andrew thinks it's too late now. Summer reminds him that Andrew is still his friend. Andrew says nothing and Summer goes outside.

Michael comes in and he and Libby exchange pleasantries while Andrew sends a text to Harry, saying sorry. Tash appears and gives Andrew a big pash to annoy her dad. Michael asks them if they're free.

Number 32
Andrew and Tash are on the sofa as Michael says no one is in trouble, he just wants them all to talk. They vaguely agree to his assertion that they are in a relationship and Tash wonders if his acceptance means he's okay with them seeing each other. He says that him being unhappy won't stop them seeing each other. He's not pretending to be happy - he would just rather that they do whatever they're doing under his roof than somewhere else. Tash thinks this means Andrew is free to come over whenever and Michael agrees. Then, Tash says, Andrew should have his own key and drawer in her room. Andrew begins to warn her but Tash drags him away to get a bag packed, leaving Michael too bewildered to reply.

Number 26
Callum arrives to speak to Steph (with his hands over his eyes because he thinks it's bad luck for the best man as well as the groom to see the bride before the wedding!) Steph puts him right to Cal's relief and he presents her with a bracelet - something new for her new, old, borrowed and blue. Steph puts it on as Cal tells her he got it at the market and it cost two weeks pocket money. Steph loves it and Cal is chuffed she's going to wear it at the wedding.

CALLUM: Thanks for being so cool with me.

She asks why she wouldn't be and he says at the start he wanted Sonya to be with Toadie, not Steph. Callum knows he was wrong now; even though he agrees she was a good person, Sonya left and Steph is still here.

CALLUM: And when you and Dad get married, we'll be together forever.

He hugs her as Steph's smile fades.

Number 30
Steph hurries over, Callum, hot on her heels, protesting about bad luck. She tells Toadie that she has to go over some last minute things with him and Toadie sends Callum off to help Charlie. Steph tells Toad she can't go through with it after Callum coming to see her. Toadie says that if they call it off now there will be far too many questions; by waiting six months they can prepare Callum for it. Steph admits there's other stuff and she tells him about Sonya knowing everything. Toadie is shocked.

Country Road
Sonya waits impatiently as Lucas fixes the car.

Number 30
Steph tells Toadie that Sonya was relieved, that she could now understand why Toadie left her and it wasn't because he didn't love her. Toadie wonders why Sonya didn't come and see him but Steph explains Sonya felt it was all too much. Toadie makes sure that Steph told her about the six- month plan and he's disappointed that she still left knowing that. Steph apologises and understands if this changes things but Toadie wants to go ahead. Sonya knew and still left - there's no point in him contacting her. He reminds her that this was his choice and he would still choose to help Steph if he had the chance to decide again.

STEPH: You are just the best man ever, Jarrod Rebecchi.

She hugs him and holds his hand for a moment before telling him she'll see him at the ceremony.

TOADIE: You betcha.

She leaves Toadie looking thoughtful.

Country Road
Lucas tells Sonya he can fix the car but doesn't have the part so he has to go back to the garage and get it. He invites her along but she wants to stay with the car. He knows that something's up by the way she's not looking at him; he doesn't get it as she has so much going for her. She corrects him, saying she broke up with her boyfriend as she realised she didn't love him. Lucas draws the conclusion that she's still in love with Toadie. She doesn't answer and he remarks that if she can't talk to him, then who can she talk to? She admits that it's not easy to see Toadie marrying someone else.

SONYA: Why do you think I'm still leaving?
LUCAS: Why do you think I'm working?

Sonya knows it's Steph but Lucas changes the subject, thinking he'd better get a move on and get the part. Sonya stays by her car.

Number 32
Michael sits worrying, then tries to look busy when Tash and Andrew return. He offers to vacate the lounge room but Tash wants to go to her room for some 'real privacy'.

Inside Tash's room Andrew asks what more she wants; Tash wants to make her dad crack. She knows he's just pretending to be cool.

Michael is annoyed when he hears loud music coming from the room and then the sound of moving bedsprings. He jumps up and knocks on Tash's door, asking her to come out. When she refuses he storms in to find Tash jumping on the bed, pleased with herself that she's successfully wound her dad up. Michael orders Andrew out. Tash thought he was cool about it and when he replies he lied, she calls him a hypocrite and runs out with Andrew.

Ramsay Street
Andrew spots Summer, who is waiting for the wedding car, which is late. She asks if he's been somewhere and he replies he was at Tash's.

SUMMER: I get it.
ANDREW: No you don't.

They smile uncomfortably until Andrew gets a text from Harry, who knows Summer put him up to it. Summer goes all 'aww' when Andrew tells her Harry says he misses them and she rubs his arm comfortingly when he says he misses Harry too. He walks away and she looks on after him.

Number 32
Tash is watching something on TV which by the music sounds very much like a 90s episode of Neighbours. Michael switches it off and apologises for losing it, but she was pushing him. She says he was hoping that if he pushed her and Andrew together, she'd run a mile. Then Cat appears at the door and Tash talks her dad into giving the cat a try. He reluctantly agrees and Tash lets the cat in.

Number 26
The car arrives and Libby, Lyn and Summer await Steph's appearance from a bedroom. She complains about being so pregnant but Libby thinks it just makes her glow even more.

Country Road
Lucas has fixed the car, promising Sonya that it'll take her across the Nullarbor, no worries. Good thing as there's nothing there. Sonya looks thoughtful.

Number 26
Lyn hurries everyone up. Libby goes to get Steph while Lyn and Summer go outside. She knocks on the door and Steph says she is just doing last minute checks.

LIBBY: Hey, I just want you to know how happy I am for you.

Steph thanks her, although you can tell her words make her feel even guiltier.

LIBBY: No, I mean it. You're the best friend I've ever had and with Toadie and the baby...it's just wonderful.

Steph takes a deep breath.

Country Road
Lucas wants to fix it; they should go to the wedding. Sonya says they can't. He tells her to leave then but he knows she can't, so they have to go back and face it. Sonya breaks down and he hugs her, apologising. She says she's so confused. He tells her to let it all out.

LUCAS: Tell me everything.

Sonya contemplates his words.

Lassiter's Lake
Tons of people we have never seen before mill about. Toadie and Steph sure have invited a lot of people to their fake wedding! Charlie asks where Steph is; Callum reminds Toadie that the wedding was meant to start ten minutes ago but Toadie says it's traditional that the bride is always late. He'll let Cal know when to start panicking.

Luckily there's no need for that because the car draws up. Lyn reminds Steph of what to do next. She kisses her daughter, saying how relieved she is this is happening. Steph remarks to Libby that her mum is such a stress head. Libby, checking over Steph's dress, reminds her that Lyn just wants her to be happy. Steph spots a car drawing up and Lucas and Sonya get out. Libby is confused.

LIBBY: I thought she was going to Perth.
STEPH: Yeah, me too.

Callum is chuffed to see Sonya but both Toadie and Lyn's faces darken when they see her and Lucas. Lyn prompts the musicians to start now. Libby and Summer go on ahead of Steph as Steph, Toadie and Lyn look worried at this latest turn of events.

Steph recalls all the things that have led up to this moment; she is besieged with flashes of Lucas, Sonya, Libby, and everything that happened in the last few months, starting with telling Toadie...

TOADIE: It's going to be fine.
STEPH: It's not - I'm pregnant. Libby can't know about this.
...pretending to be back with Toadie to fool Libby and everyone else...
STEPH: I just hate lying.
TOADIE: I'm just as involved in this as you are, remember?
STEPH: We can change our minds.
At the hospital...
LIBBY: Are you pregnant?
Lyn and the ultrasound...
LYN: You lied to me.
STEPH: Stupid mistake!
To Lucas...
STEPH: Toadie and I love each other.
LUCAS: You're lying.
As Steph recalls getting close to Lucas...
LYN: You're still in love with Lucas.
Toadie with Sonya...
STEPH: You love her.
Callum's misbehaviour
CALLUM: I hate her!
Steph shouting at Lyn...
STEPH: I'm having Dan Fitzgerald's baby!
Toadie and Steph playing couples, Sonya upset, Steph in hospital and the ultrasound...
TOADIE: It's all going to be okay.
LYN: You are trying to fix one lie with another. Where is it going to stop?

There, actually. For today, anyway.

SUMMER: She's the mother of the bride!
KARL: Are you trying to pick up Lyn Scully?
TERRY: Have you got any advice for me?
KARL: Yes. Don't.

SONYA (to Lyn): You know nothing about me.
LYN: You're like some stray dog...

(Toadie and Steph at the reception; everyone toasting to them and them smiling)
LYN: Once he's settled into family life with Steph and the kids, he'll know exactly what he's got. Of course he loves her, he always has.

(Steph and Toadie all happy at the reception and Sonya hurrying away, upset. Outside, at Sonya's car)
TOADIE: Whatever Lyn says, it's a lie.
