Dan and Libby considering Susan as a surrogate mother.
Dr Olenski explaining what happens with the procedure.
Bridget fretting that her friends all heard what they said about them.
Ringo telling them they all know what they said.
Donna telling Declan and Bridget what's what and to leave, Bridget feeling dreadful about it.
Steve asking Lucas if they could squeeze his car in for a service, before going to Oakey.
Declan wishing he could go to Oakey with them.
Out on the road, Steve is singing ‘Ten Green Bottles' very loudly and much to Didge's annoyance. All of a sudden a horse goes galloping across the road and Miranda and Didge scream for him to look out leading to a still image of Bridget screaming and slowly fades out.
Earlier That Day...
Bridget says India's finally down and that she couldn't even sleep with everyone hating them. Declan says they won't be mad forever but Bridget says it's his fault, he wanted godparents and look where it landed them. Declan says they're not real friends if they don't understand and we hear a very high pitched scream from India. Declan says he'll get it and Bridget tells him to forget it.
Susan and Toadie are fussing over Rocky as they discuss Callum being away. Toadie asks how Karl is after being suspended but Susan says he's feeling like he's on holiday and took Libby to Torquay. Dan appears saying Libby called saying Susan's been stressed and he's got to help her but Susan says she's being melodramatic and only has some things to do before going to the hospital tomorrow. Dan offers that his errands can be moved about if she needs anything but Susan says everything's fine. He leaves and Susan says to Toadie that people have forgotten she has had children before.
Susan and Toadie are doing a working, Susan actually using the exercise bike and Toadie just sitting on it and eating pizza, whilst Susan worries she's offended Dan, not accepting his offer. Toadie says Dan just wants to help out and that it's a bit weird having his bit in the procedure and now what does he do? Dan walks in and Toadie and Susan say hey and Dan replies, stubbornly.
TOADIE: Then again, maybe you're talking to the wrong guy.
Bridget's still obsessing that Ringo, Zeke and Donna haven't texted back but Declan tells her not to care so much, they won't have done. Bridget says he should care too. Miranda and Steve come out and say that things need to be packed and Steve says he'll get it just after he's checked the car. Miranda says it's just been serviced but Steve needs to check the oil and such. Miranda and Steve notice Declan all tired and Bridget says that child's a monster but Miranda says she's just cranky is all. Bridget says she had to get up about 50 times and Declan says he had to get up the other 50 times. Bridget says the rest of the night he was snoring his head off and Declan argues he was tired. Bridget says she is too and Declan gets fed up and goes to the gym. Miranda tells Steve to go after him, he needs a talk. Steve does and Miranda asks Bridget if everything's ok, but it isn't. Everything is a disaster and it's Declans fault.
Toadie thanks the receptionist, saying he had a good workout. Yes, Toadie, sitting on the bike and eating pizza is a very good workout. Dan also gets back from his own workout, a proper one, and Toadie asks if everything's ok and wants nothing to talk about. Steve joins Declan on the bikes, not yet saying anything.
Bridget explains to Miranda what happened when choosing over godparents.
Steve and Declan crank up the gear on the bikes.
Miranda asks how it's Declan's fault and Bridget replies that he was the one who suggested the whole thing. India doesn't need godparents as they have Miranda, Steve and Rebecca.
Declan and Steve are still doing a workout and there's a Miranda voiceover saying it wasn't just Declan saying those things over the monitor.
Bridget thinks she's a horrible person but Miranda says she's not. She's a new mum, out of character and adjusting to motherhood.
Declan and Steve turn the gears down, all hot and exhausted, while voiceover Bridget feels like everything's going out of control.
Bridget says she doesn't feel like she knows anyone anymore, not even her. Miranda says it's natural and her life's totally changed. And until she's got her life back on track, she can't fight with Declan.
Steve and Declan finish their workout, saying it was a good one. Steve says it always helps.
Bridget feels awful about calling India a monster, she's beautiful, even when she's screaming. She thanks her Mum.
Declan gets off the bike and thanks Steve. Steve calls after him and says he's doing a good job and to keep it up.
Miranda tells Bridget that things will have calmed down by the time they get back as they pack India's things. Declan comes in bringing the stuff Miranda asked for and Miranda goes. Declan and Bridget are about to say something but both start at the same time. Declan offers her to go first.
In the kitchen, Steve can hear Bridget apologizing to Declan for being a cow over the baby monitor. Miranda comes in and stops to listen too as Bridget says they shouldn't be fighting with each other.
Back in the nursery, they both say they sent a sorry text to their friends but nothing back. Bridget asks him to work on that when she's gone and once she's back they can sort it out properly. Declan says they can sort out godparents too but Bridget can't believe he'd still want to go through that.
In the kitchen, the folks hear an argument brewing of Didge listing the reasons why they shouldn't do it but Declan says it's important to him.
In the nursery, Bridget says it's stupid but Declan says she doesn't want it and she's annoyed because it's not going her way. From the start, she's been saying how it goes and starts with the adoption.
BRIDGET: Don't you dare bring that up!
DECLAN: Why not? Because it proves my point?
Miranda and Steve are disappointed in hearing the argument as Declan tells Bridget she never cares what he thinks and leaves her in a huff.
Later on and Miranda can't leave with them fighting like this. Bridget asks if everything's ready but Miranda doesn't want to go until she's had a decent sleep. Bridget says she can sleep in the car but Miranda says they're both having naps, no arguments. Declan, who's already on the couch, says he tries to sleep but he can't. Miranda says they'll look after India and they just rest.
Miranda and Steve are buying things for the drive and discuss the route's they're going to take, Miranda wanting the highway and Steve seeing no fun in that. Steve brings Miranda around when he says for one little detour to a nature reserve he hasn't seen since he was a kid and they'll love it.
Declan and Bridget are trying to sleep, tossing and turning, unable to sleep, Declan in the nursery and Bridget on the sofa. After a while, Bridget creeps into the nursery where Declan is sleeping on the floor and Declan offers her a side of the duvet. They kiss and make up and promise never to fight again and they cuddle as they sleep.
On the subject of Dan, Toadie tells Susan he's just feeling weird about the whole thing they discussed before as Dan drives home.
SUSAN: It's more than that, he's having second thoughts.
TOADIE: (Reading the newspaper) Here's your chance to ask. Ooo, there's a sale on Fleecy Tots!
Susan tries to talk to Dan about whether he's having second thoughts or feeling weird about everything but Dan insists he's fine. Susan accepts that, saying she must have misunderstood and leaves. Toadie casually walks up to Dan, waiting until she's gone and smacks Dan with the newspaper, asking “what was that?!” Toadie disapproves of Dan slapping Susan down when she's trying to reach out to him and says he can't imagine how this surrogacy stuff might feel but Susan's like his surrogate mother. Dan says he doesn't want to talk about it in front of the whole neighbourhood (and yet they'll all find out soon enough, knowing Neighbours!) and tells Toadie he doesn't know what he's talking about. Toadie says if he's having seconds thoughts, tell her before she goes to the hospital.
Later on, Dan approaches Susan outside sweeping the leaves off of the pathway and apologises to Susan. Susan knows it's a strange time for them all and Dan says as a husband and as a father, he doesn't know his role in all of this. Dan says if it was Libby he'd do all sorts of things for her and Susan understands it's not quite right for Dan to be helping Susan in the way he'd be helping Libby. Dan also says he'd be nagging Libby about her health and keeping it right. Susan says they can do nagging but depending on what. She also makes it clearly he can't nag her about not eating chocolate. Susan suggests an exercise programme. They both realise that there is a way to make this work.
Across the street, the Parkers are packing up and taking practically everything with them. Declan says goodbye to India and one last one to Bridget. Bridget wishes that the others were there to send her off and Declan says he'll work on them whilst she's gone. Bridget tells her to put up the shelves in the nursery and Miranda ushers her to come along. Declan says he'll miss her and they kiss and say they love each other before getting into the car. They drive off, the car not sounding too well I might add, as Bridget waves outside the car window, Declan waving back.
Declan walks in with only Bronte for company and chucks her a toy he sat on. He looks gloomy as he rests his head on the back of the couch.
Steve pulls to the side of the road to look at the map whilst Bridget gets a call from Declan. She tells him they've been driving for ages and that India's been asleep the whole way so far. Bridget asks if he's spoken to the others yet and Declan says he's been trying to get hold of Ringo but no luck. Steve tells her rest stop's over and they say goodbye.
The Parkers are driving along, Steve singing ten green bottles and Miranda and Bridget screaming for him to shut up. He then suggests a game of ‘I Spy' but Bridget says no because he chooses really obscure things to spy.
STEVE: That's a whole point!
BRIDGET: No, because then it's no fun! You can't spy exhaust fumes.
STEVE: You're just bitter because you didn't guess it.
They try to crank up the radio as a horse suddenly gallops along the road, causing Steve to swerve into the trees.
Declan is getting started on the shelves in the nursery and takes a picture to send to Bridget of the work he's doing to prove he's getting on with the shelves.
Bridget's phone is buzzing on the floor among the rest of the family's items and clothing scattered across the ground. The car has been flipped on it's side and all that can be heard is India's cries.
