- Ty wrongly assuming Rachel has moved on
- Ty sending Rachel a schmoopy video message
- Elle kicking Cass out of her house
- Declan telling Elle he saw Cass with Cat
- Cass pretending she knows nothing about it
- Elle finding Declan unconscious under #24
Elle races out to the street and frantically tells Paul that Declan‘s been electrocuted and she can‘t reach him. Mickey and Steve rush over to help.
Under Number 24
Paul squeezes his way over to Declan and tries to rouse him without any success. Steve calls out that he's turned off the electricity then directs Paul in giving CPR to Declan. Elle frets outside.
Toadie's reading ‘Story' by Robert McKee, trying to wrap his head around all the different screenwriting techniques he needs to apply to his play. Lucas pesters him for a bit before dancing over to Rebecca and Didge, who are listening to an iPod to road test bands for the baby shower. Mickey races in (after apparently using his TARDIS) to tell everyone that Declan's in trouble. Nice one, Lassie!
Ramsay Street/Under Number 24
Rebecca, Didge and Lucas arrive (I guess Mickey‘s sucking back a beer at Charlie‘s) just as an ambulance pulls up. Elle directs the paramedics to where Declan is. Didge wants to follow them under the house but Rebecca tearfully holds her back. The paramedics tell Paul to bring Declan to them, so Paul drags him through the dirt to the entrance. The ambos get their equipment out and do their thing till Declan's heart starts up again.
Cass and Donna come to see what all the commotion is about just as Steve pops out from under the house to say they've found a pulse. Rebecca sobs when Declan's dragged out on a stretcher. Learning that Declan was trying to rescue Cat, Donna glares at her mother, but Cass just rushes inside the house. Everyone heads to the hospital, half of them not realising that Paul was the hero of the day because he took so long to emerge.
Dr Newton lets a very tense Didge and Rebecca know that Declan will be OK aside from some wooziness and burns on his shoulder, and that whoever performed CPR first saved his life. Rebecca is very stunned to learn from Steve that it was Paul. Stressed, Didge yells at Elle and Donna for getting Declan mixed up in their Cass-Cat wars and orders everyone who isn't family to go home.
Donna storms in and shouts at Cass for everything she's done. Cass tries to protest her innocence, but Donna ignores her and demands that she leave Erinsborough for good.
Donna has a quick chat with Tegan on her mobile, just wanting to hear a friendly voice. Elle finds her and is not all that surprised to learn that Donna told Cass to leave town. Donna's bummed because she knows Cass will never listen, but Elle gets a sneaky look on her face and says Cass won't be bothering her for too much longer. She gives Donna a hug.
Toadie wanders over to Ty and Mickey to let them know that Declan's serious but stable. Mickey reckons they should write a song for when Declan's better. For the love of God, NO. Talk then turns to Rachel. Basically, Ty really wants to go to the UK but doesn't want to be a burden on Rach, claiming that he's got too many commitments here. Toadie thinks he's talking crap and sends a sneaky email to Rachel on his laptop after Ty leaves.
Paul tells Elle that Lucas let him in to get a change of clothes. But Elle isn't worried about him being there, she's too busy feeling guilty about not being able to help Declan. Paul gives her a hug and says it's not her fault. He then asks how Rebecca is and Elle quips that she's surprised he hasn't found a way to tell her yet. Paul jokes that he was saving it for front page news.
Didge sits by sleepy Declan's bedside and talks to him, half-heartedly joking that he better not have done all this just to get out of the birth.
DIDGE: You really scared me. I want you to be there with me every day for the rest of my life, Declan. You got it? (She tears up) No more dangerous activities.
DECLAN: (rousing awake) Does that include changing baby nappies?
Didge launches at him, relieved, just as Rebecca and Steve walk in. Rebecca squeezes Declan's face and gushes over her “beautiful boy”.
STEVE: You gave us a hell of a shock, mate.
Daggy dad jokes - 1. Electricity - 0.
Steve has brought Rebecca back to get some things for Declan, but before she goes inside she sees Paul at his car and hits him on the arm - why didn't he say anything? Paul gets all humble and says anyone would've done the same thing. Smiling, Rebecca says he's making it very hard for her to hate him at the moment, then she gives him a grateful hug. Paul's chuffed.
Ty (with tag-along Mickey) tells Toadie off for contacting Rachel, but Toadie said it had to be done. Ty says he got a video message from her, so Toadie takes Mickey off his hands so he can watch it alone.
Ty watches Rachel's video message on his mobile. She sings him a few lines of Unforgettable (sigh), before telling him that she'd really love it if he joined her in the UK. Ty's stoked.
Ext - Charlie's Bar
Ty sees Donna sitting by her lonesome (umming and ahhing over calling Didge) and tells her that he's going to London to surprise Rachel. Ty asks if she's OK, but Donna's down in the dumps because Cass is ruining not only her life, but everyone else's. Donna also thinks she's a trouble magnet, but Ty says she's changed and everyone loves her now.
TY: How about I buy you a drink and we can talk about old times?
DONNA: Alright... Just please don't bring up the Rachel wig!
Ty heads inside just as Cass finds Donna and says there's something important she needs to know. Elle comes to Donna's rescue and tells Cass to rack off. Cass scoffs, but Elle warns her that she'll get her comeuppance soon enough.
Elle and Donna sit down with drinks, but Cass isn't done with her daughter just yet.
CASS: There's something you need to know before you toss out the only parent you've ever had. Matt's not your father.
DONNA: (gobsmacked) You're lying.
CASS: No I'm not.
ELLE: Cass leave her alone.
CASS: Your real father split as soon as he found out that I was pregnant. Matt always knew that I saw him as second best. Maybe that's why he ran. I mightn't be much but at least I'm here. I just needed you to know the truth.
She struts out leaving poor Donna to process this mammoth piece of news.
