Simon storming out of the General Store.
Paul asking Simon why he stole the iPod.
Miranda telling Steve she's got an interview at Lassiters.
Miranda seeing that Paul is running a smear story on Andrew.
Lucas leaving Dan at the hospital.
Mark accusing Elle of being in love with Lucas – she denies it.
Elle telling Lucas she loves him – he laughs at her.
Rebecca, Ty and Toadie are getting their morning coffee fixes, plus snacks for Ty. Toadie makes a joke about his large food parcel and he snaps that atleast he has an excuse. Ty leaves and Rebecca asks Toadie if Libby is ready for visitors. Toadie reckons it'll be another couple of days. Paul comes in and Rebecca gives him an earful about not giving Miranda a job at Lassiters, he covers and says it's an HR decision but Rebecca calls him a coward.
Elle storms into the store in a mood, ranting about men. Paul goes out the back to talk to her where she's muttering to herself. Elle tells him he should hire Miranda, she also tells him that she told Lucas she loves him and he laughed in her face. Paul hugs her in a rare moment of fatherly compassion
Lucas is taking out his frustration on the pool balls. Miranda is going through the classifieds looking for jobs, she's not having much luck. Steve arrives and talks to her about Paul rejecting her for the job at Lassiters. He tells her that she doesn't need to work, but she says she wants to. He asks her to have coffee with him but talks himself out of it. Rebecca tries to talk to Lucas, but he blanks her.
Zeke is on the phone to Susan, when he hangs up Kyle is waiting to speak to him. He wants to check that they're ‘cool', Zeke reassures him they're fine. Tegan and Simon appear at the top of the stairs with some sort of chemistry model. Tegan drops it on the floor and it breaks. Zeke offers to help her fix it. Kyle teases Zeke saying he has a crush on Tegan.
Ty is struggling with a wheelbarrow, and runs into Paul who's looking for Lucas. Ty tells Paul he hasn't seen him and leaves, apologising for being rude. Miranda rushes up to Paul with advice on keeping Lassiters successful with another copy of her CV.
PAUL: Are you finished? Because when we need a bored housewife to fix our multimillion dollar business I'll be sure to give you a call. Until then keep bleaching those tea cups eh?!
He leaves and she sees him throw her CV into the bin.
Lucas is still playing pool. Rebecca tells him to watch the felt since he's smacking the ball about a bit. Paul arrives and wants to talk to Lucas about Elle.
LUCAS: Ah so princess went and rang and spoke to daddy did she?
PAUL: Have you finished? Because if you had any feelings for her whatsoever...
LUCAS: Feelings? You know it's just a bit of fun, but now it's getting way too complicated.
Paul warns Lucas off Elle and Rebecca who was listening to the conversation calls Lucas pathetic and chucks him out of the bar.
Lucas comes in but sees Elle in the kitchen and tries to run off. Steph corners him asking him to look after Ben – Charlie needs to be taken to the dentist and Dan is at the hospital with Libby. Ben is really excited about spending a girl free afternoon. Steph thanks Lucas and kisses Ben who then wipes his face.
Lucas and Ben are having a heated argument about the best flavour of ice cream, Ben likes Rainbow Swirl best (whatever that is!) but Lucas is backing strawberry. They laugh. Ben asks Lucas is Libby is going to be ok. He reassures him that she'll be fine. Ben tells Lucas that he wants a brother.
As they walk off Ty is putting his work great (florescent jacket etc) into the bin.
Tegan is impressed with their fixed model and thanks Zeke for his help. Kyle calls him a nerd but he says he isn't anymore. Cass arrives and is so excited to meet Kyle and Zach (she doesn't know Zeke's name). Cass says she wants to get to know Tegan's friends (especially the boys!) but Zeke and Kyle make a quick escape. Cass calls ‘Zach' rude, and accuses Tegan of keeping her cards very close to her chest.
CASS: Darling we're friends, talk to me. We can talk about everything
TEGAN: No mum, we can't talk, all you do is throw yourself at guys, it's pathetic. No wonder Simon stole that Ipod, no wonder Donna ran away, no wonder I've got no friends.
Cass seems to be able to ignore her rant and asks about the stolen Ipod. Simon looks really cross with Tegan who explains that Paul caught him.
Ty is asleep on the sofa when Toadie hits him with a cushion. Steph tells him to leave Ty alone as he's got to be up at five. But Ty has news – he's quit his job and will be laying in. He says he was kidding himself being a labourer but won't be going back to music either.
Dan arrives to pick up Ben and is angry with Steph for leaving him with Lucas. He doesn't say much but looks narked. They hear the sound of a motorbike outside and Dan leaves to see if it's Lucas with Ben.
Lucas and Ben are on the bike and clearly had a great time. Ben tells Lucas he wants a motorbike when he's older, Lucas says he'll help him pick one out. Ben is really excited and tells Dan who's arrived that Lucas bought him a helmet and leathers. Dan asks him to head inside so he can talk to Lucas.
DAN: What is wrong with you? What the hell were you thinking taking Ben on the bike?
LUCAS: I got him a helmet and protective gear...
DAN: He's ten years old!
LUCAS: I was just trying to cheer him up.
DAN: (scoffs) His mum nearly died on a motorbike. She just lost our baby because of injuries she got on a motorbike, anything of this making sense punchy?
LUCAS: I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
Dan walks away into the house.
It's night time and Elle is watching a scary film (or at least one with creepy music.), Paul comes in commenting that there's nothing like a bit of mass carnage to make a girl feel better. She tells him – like father, like daughter. There's a knock at the door and it's Cass, worrying about Simon. She asks Paul if he's in trouble, but Paul reassures her (though does say his communication skills need brushing up – shocking news that one!) that he's fine. He asks if she wants to stay for a drink but she rushes off.
Paul's phone rings, it's Rebecca who only says ‘Miranda – sort it out!' and hangs up.
Steve arrives with a bottle of wine, Miranda tells him that Dec and Didge are out but she didn't want to waste the food she'd cooked. He seems happy to be just the two of them. Paul arrives at the door and asks Miranda if she'll call off her ‘attack dogs' if he gives her a job. He plays her an answer phone message from Rebecca who promises to throw him out of Charlie's again and again unless he gives her a job. Paul tells her she starts at 9am tomorrow and the only reason he didn't give her a job was to annoy Rebecca – and it worked.
Ben is making motorbike noises and actions on the sofa while Dan looks on from the dining table. Dan asks him if he's done his homework, but Uncle Lucas says homework's for girls. Ben tells Dan he's going to sleep if his jacket. Dan tries to explain to Ben that when Libby gets home she's going to need extra looking after, Ben says that Aunty Steph and Nanna have already told him that she needs lots of cups of tea. Ben asks Dan if Grace is going to play with his jacket – apparently she can play with anything but the jacket, he runs off to play, leaving Dan looking sad.
Steve and Miranda are making mmm noises about the desert they're eating. They are chuffed about the baby and being grandparents. Steve wants to be called Pa but Miranda can't decide what she wants to be called. Miranda says this is nice, Steve takes this as a signal to kiss her, but she says she was talking about the baby. Awkwardness ensues and he leaves, realising on the doorstep that he has taken his bowl with him.
Lucas comes into the changing room to find Dan sitting there looking pensive. Lucas is really impressed at how Dan is holding things together. Dan tells him that he loves Libby, and it makes it worth it.
Elle is now watching some cat themed horror flick based on the amount of yowling in the background. There are also a few human screams however. There's a knock at the door so she turns off the TV and finds Lucas on the doorstep. He tells Elle he loves her too and they kiss.
